This place is legit. Its clear so much thought and care went into the curation of every flavor and topping. We got a full rundown of where each thing was sourced from and it was great to see someone who loves what they do this much. Definitely check this one out.

Cute Ice Cream shop. The decor inside is really cool. The people inside are very kind. There was a little bit of line but it goes by fast so dont let that deter you from getting some amazing not too sweet ice cream. Even though they are fast their service is top notch and if you are in area a must try. Even if your not in the area Drive here and you will not regret it.

This is a highly rated ice cream shop in SGV, and I can see why. I love their story for opening this place, and I love their product! When I visited, the server took the time to explain the ingredients and the love poured out into making each flavor. I visited because I heard there was hojicha soft serve! I can say for myself that it didnt disappoint! It was so creamy yet held that delicious roasted flavor. Parking is great. Theres plenty of spots in the parking lot. I was here after sunset, so it was hard to find the business in the dark. Its located in the corner, not next to the 99 cent store. I think it might be helpful if they had brighter signs with light? They had polaroid cameras and a photobook if you wanted to leave your photo. There was something on the lens of each camera, so my photos didnt turn out great. Its still cute inside though. They have some seating.

Wanted to check this place out! There was a fairly long line outside for ice cream! But the flavors are unique and good energy with plenty of people outside and inside the shop! You can tell the place is opened from love and passion for their craft! Ive tried quite a few of their flavors (which rotate out depending on the season) like: Hojicha, honey misu garu, matcha, brown sugar vanilla, yakult, and strawberry lychee! The Hojicha was really good, you could taste the steeped tea, and it wasnt too sweet! The money misu garu was more nutty, and it almost reminded me of a subtle unsweetened peanut butter! It awesome you can get 2 flavors per cup for fun and endless combos! The matcha was a bit bitter for me, but paired great with the decadent brown sugar vanilla! The vanilla and hojicha are my top flavors! A more sweet and refreshing flavors would be the yakult and strawberry lychee. The servers were very kind, explaining to us some of the flavors and their origins, even though they were so busy, and gave us our soft serve almost instantly. I first heard of them a couple years back at a random rooftop Christmas market in Little Tokyo, thinking they werent a soft serve, but a community service location, which, with their mission statement, isnt that far off! They are a local passionate group of people bringing us delicious and uniquely Asian flavors in the 626! I really do appreciate them and their mission statement, this homegrown feel and love of ice cream and their communities. We need more places like them! There is ample parking since its in a plaza and open in the late evening and night. But by the time we finished and left, there was no linehaha. I also love the decor inside. It gives me an almost nostalgic feeling with a fresh take on it, I cant really explain it...! Will be back soon for more new and interesting flavors!

In this extreme summer heat the line is out the door and into the parking lot to order this tasty soft serve. Flavors are original and you can get a cup with different flavors to compliment each other. We definitely liked getting one tart fruity flavor along side their vanilla serve. The Yakult was on the tart side. So it didnt taste as great with a fruit flavor. By itself, it was good though. Great place to go for original tasty ice cream. Unfortunately its only open weekends. Some seating inside, but because its so popular, you prob cant find indoor seating, but exit the establishment and theyll have some plastic stools out front that you can sit on and enjoy your cool dessert. Oh, and remember to grab some if their free stickers on the counter. Servers are super nice and you can do a taste test of whichever flavors you want before you order. Great place! Vegetarian options: Some of their flavors are clearly marked dairy free. Those are more like sorbet.

The BEST soft serve and ice cream you will every have! Our friend introduced us to 626 Ice Cream in 2023, and we fell in love with their soft serve. They hand make all of their flavors, and you can tell from the ingredients used are of the highest quality. The best part is - the flavors are not too sweet. Amber was there that day we tried their soft serve, and she took the time to go over the making and thought process of each flavor. Just from the way she described everything to us, you could sense the passion and pride she took in 626 Ice Cream. Fast forward to a couple months before our wedding, and we could NOT figure out what desserts to serve our guests. We instantly thought of 626 Ice Cream - it made the perfect sense to have them at our wedding since were both originally from the 626 area. Plus, the ice creams were the perfect mix of asian-inspired and childhood nostalgia flavors we grew up enjoying. We happened to get in touch with Amber again, and she coordinated all the logistics for us to have 626 Hospitality Group as our dessert vendor! She was so detail-oriented, and we even got to set up a tasting with her to narrow down the flavors we wanted to serve at our wedding. On the day of the wedding, Amber and the 626 Hospitality Group team were so professional and really went above and beyond to ensure our guests were happy. Our guests could NOT stop raving about how delicious the ice cream was, and we even had a couple of friends stop by the store front to get more soft serve the following day. We truly appreciate Amber and the 626 Hospitality Team for making our wedding day a memorable night. We highly recommend everyone to check them out either at the store-front or to even reach out to them for any catering services for special events!

Wow- my brother told me about this place, and we showed up on a Tuesday (unfortunately closed) but we came back the next day and it was worth the wait. Overall: They have 6 flavors that rotate based on the freshness of produce. The soft serves are all made in-house and are delicious. I really appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect. Waldo and Amber made it a point to make us feel at home, and even gave us some sample drinks! They are very passionate about their craft and it shows when talking about their soft serves! Definitely recommend it. The vibes here are throw back, chill and cozy. Food: I personally tried Mango Calamansi (rotating out soon, for a Yuzu flavor) Yakult Hojicha Lychee Strawberry All of them were good, the toppings are unique and compliment the soft-serve to your liking with crunchy, tangy, sweet, or chewy. I personally like my soft serve, yogurts with a major tang! So mango calamansi, and yakult swirl is my recommendation. I got haw flakes, plum powder and mochi to complete my round. Enjoyed my time here, will definitely be back when I visit town!

The ice cream here is pretty good. I got the black sugar vanilla and hojicha flavors, with some mochi, reeses, one powder thing (sorry, I forgot the name) as toppings. Pretty nice! The hojicha flavor is pretty strong in its tea taste, and the vanilla tasted the sweetest of the things I had. This place didnt emphasize too much sweetness in its ice cream (they even have a sign saying that), and so its very good, if you dont like too much sweetness. I do prefer sweeter, so thats the only reason for the slightly lower score, but thats just me. The others who I went with liked this place way more, since they dont like things too sweet. Overall, pretty nice place, and Im up for returning one day!

Nestled in the heart of the 626 area, this soft-serve dessert shop is an absolute treasure. Their unique Asian-inspired flavors are a delightful departure from the ordinary. My personal favorite, the hojicha, embodies perfection with its smooth, creamy texture and nuanced roasted tea essence, striking the ideal balance between sweetness and sophistication. Equally tantalizing is the yakult flavor, a refreshing treat that masterfully harmonizes tartness with just the right touch of sweetness. What truly sets this place apart is its intimate, moody ambiance, creating the perfect setting for relaxed gatherings with friends. Its closing time of 11pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends makes it an idyllic spot to unwind after dinner, allowing for meaningful conversations over delectable desserts. The owners warmth and genuine passion for their craft infuse the entire experience with a sense of community and authenticity. Every flavor here feels like a labor of love, deeply rooted in the essence of the 626. This spot has undoubtedly secured its place as my go-to destination for indulgent treats whenever friends and family are in town.

Tried out this new ice cream spot for the first time, and got one of each flavor! Owners are super nice and this is definitely going to be my new go-to spot whenever Im nearby. I tried all of their current flavors below: Black Sugar Vanilla This is what Im going to call the philosophers flavor because this one actually changes in your mouth as your taste buds pick up the black sugar, then the delicate vanilla kicks in and doesnt let go. Their vanilla here is anything but plain. Lychee Strawberry This isnt lychee and strawberry casually lumped together. Its like they managed to fuse the two fruits together perfectly to create a life changing new taste. I can only assume alchemy is involved here, cause my brain, and tastebuds, are still reeling from its effect. Yakult If you love Yakult, you may not ever want to go back to the drink form. Powerful and memorable flavor due to the nostalgia, gentle puffy texture, and creaminess. Wow! Mango Calamansi Who DOESNT like mango or calamansi? Take mango, add some citrus, and honestly no toppings needed. I need this everywhere. Hojicha If youve never had tea-infused ice cream, this is a great place to start. Imagine a delicious tea flavor without any bitterness, has some nutty undertones, and leaves you calm and at peace afterwards. Its lot to ask for in ice cream, but they managed to pull it off! Malted Chocolate The malt takes what would just be your classic chocolate flavor and instead creates something way more exciting. Ignore the cheap powdery taste you might be thinking of - this tastes like the real deal, and it has me questioning if Ive ever had real chocolate malt. They teased new flavors of ice cream ready to roll out in the future that I cant wait to try. Given how much thought and care has gone into every single of these so far, I for one am very excited for what the future holds.

recently changed ownership from ace yogurt to 626 hospitality. the owners are very warm, caring people that are very receptive to feedback and building community. the formulator is a perfectionist and the flavors shine for it. there s a range of different sweet levels amongst the flavors so everyone can find something they re happy with. my favorites are the black sugar vanilla and mango & calamansi. the texture of the vanilla is creamy perfection and the black sugar is prominent but not overpowering blending harmoniously with the vanilla. the calamansi helps cut the sugary nature of the mango and adds a bright citrus note without distracting you from the mango. give them a try! you won t be disappointed!

They have a clean friendly environment. They frozen yogurt is good quality and tastes good. They have lots of flavors to choose from as well as toppings. But my favorite menu item is the shaved ice. Its Korean-style shaved ice with red bean, fruit, mochi, misu powder, and condensed milk. Its just like the ones from my childhood days. They have it in family size for $13.99. It hits the spot on a hot summer day or night.
