SOONHEENE is a very famous place in South Korea.
I was so excited that I ordered most of the menu and everything was delicious! In particular, the mung bean pancake, rose tteokbokki, and donkatsu are fantastic. All the staff were friendly and provided good service as well π

My wife and I are crazy about Korean fried chicken. Which this place opened near our favorite mochinut place, we knew we would have to check it out - and we were not disappointed! This place definitely ranks in the top two fried chicken places we've been to!
We had a whole chicken - half original and half with their special Onion sauce (slices of onion with an onion mayo dressing). The flavor of the chicken was delicious, flavorful, and was nicely crispy!
We also had their Rose Tteokbokki and Mayak Gimbap. The Mayak was really nice! The Rose Tteokbokki was absolutely delicious!
Everything here is really good. Do know that the service was a little slow, but only because everything is made fresh to order. It's very much worth the wait!

Not a lot of places do Korean Street food, so this is definitely unique! The physical space is small and the parking lot of also small, so good luck!
Seat yourself after ordering at the counter. Water is also self serve. Disposable utensils and napkins are at the tables. Service was very fast and portions are fair. The tteokbokki is nice and chewy. The fried chicken is probably the highlight of the menu, it was super tasty and crunchy! The gimbap was my favorite, the best I've had in a long time.

Loved the traditional mung bean pancake and Ttubboki! You can ask them to make your ttubbki mild spicy if you want. The oden soup was okay. Nothing special. Mayak kimbop was decent. I prefer classic mung bean pancake over seafood one. Seafood one has only shrimp in it and itβs more expensive. Service was okay.

Soonheheene has amazing food! Every dish Iβve tried has been delicious, and the flavors are always on point. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a meal. However, I was a bit disappointed to find out they no longer make taiyaki. It was one of my favorites, and I always looked forward to it! I still love the food here, but I hope they bring back the taiyaki sometime soon.

Got wings with hot and spicy sauce. And boneless chicken with yangnyum.
They were so good. The chicken was so crispy and juicy!! Price was reasonable too. They also have Korean street food inside, so we got pork meatball as well. I absolutely love this little neighborhood joint!

My wife has been wanting to try the Rose Tteokbokki when she sees it in one of her K dramas. Soon enough on Yelp, we see this famous Netflix feature Korean street food place in Arcadia, WOW.... Definitely have to try it. We ordered the Rose Tteokbokki & Oden soup combo, Mayak Gimbap and Mung Bean pancake. They were all awesome, however, the Oden soup is not worth it, in my opinion. If you order the Oden by itself, it costs 8.99 and it only contains 2 skewers. But the rest are excellent, esp the Rose Tteokbokki, it is so creamy, my wife and I love it very much.

Never would I ever imagine seeing a restaurant in the SGV, excluding Rowland Heights area, to be serving authentic Korean street food. It brings back so many memories of traveling to Korea and walking to random streets and seeing numerous vendors selling the exact same dishes they serve here at Soon Hee Ga. While I've never been or even heard of the OG location at the Korean Street Market in Seoul, friends have told me it's legit good. Every dish we ordered was great and filled the two of us up. My favorite was their sweet rice drink, since I haven't had that in years. There used to be a Korean restaurant in the CVS/Aldi plaza down the street back in the early 2000s that served that drink as a dessert. If I'm not mistaken, they used to occupy what is now Half & Half or the Fork Over Pork shop. Since they've closed, there hasn't been a Korean restaurant that served it as a dessert (for free too!). Soon Hee Ga does a fantastic job making this rice drink and I can literally drink it all day long during the summer months. Everything else we ordered complimented well with the spicy rice cake sauce too, unless you can't handle spicy dishes. Give this place a shot if you're local because it'll save you time going to Ktown for the exact same stuff.

I went to pick up my phone order at 11:50 on June 25th, and the young female waiter seemed to be in a particularly bad mood as she packed the food, so I thought it was because I didnt have any spoons or chopsticks after arriving at the car, so I went in and gestured to her to give me a spoon. But there was no response, so I brought out my own spoon and chopsticks. I didnt know that customers had to put their own spoons and chopsticks into the submitted food. Its quite unpleasant.

Simply put, they are ripping off their customers with unbelievably inflated prices. Service has been deteriorating recently as well. Wouldnt be surprised if this place is closed soon. They are being overcharged while selling snacks. They arent that friendly these days...and the taste of the fish cake (oden soup) was the worst. If you dont lower the price, it will go out of business soon.

Food here is phenomenal . The fried chicken is a must try/get. Theyre really crispy and each bite leaves you salivating for more. The doppokkki is tasty however it is not spicy as one might think it would be. Its got lots of other ingredients that arent usually incorporated in this type of dish: fish cake, sausages, bacon, etc. Self service restaurant and you have to clean up after yourself.

One of our favorite korean chicken. Still the server forgot to give us the sauces. It s better to double-check when you get your pick up order.

The rose spicy rice cake is indeed very pasta-like, very fragrant and delicious The kimbap is very refreshing and small, but the portion is sufficient. The best thing is the sauce that comes with it. The mustard flavor is super refreshing. I was amazed at one bite. My husband and I were both impressed. Love it ~ Recommend it~ The fried chicken is crispy and the sauce is rich, the portion is larger than other restaurants, overall it s great value

Great service and atmosphere. They have great amenities like a self-serve water dispenser with nice metal cups and hand sanitizer at every table.

The first two times I visited, everything was excellent, but not today. The customer service was perfect like usual. They increased the price which I understand but the foods quality definitely go down. With a thick layer of fried powder, there is hardly any chicken inside. There is a lot of wasabi in the gimbap sauce too...

Do NOT waste your money at this place! I cant speak anything about chicken since I didnt order their chicken. But, my God Mayak Gimbab was really disappointing!!! It was EXTREMELY difficult to park in their lot. And, that small portion of Mayak Gimbap for $11.02. And, it wasnt so good either. What a waste of money, time, and energy to find a parking to eat at this place! The owner had a family gathering there and didnt care about her customer. She had a scary and mean face. I am not here to judge people since they might go through some life issues. However, the price for that little skinny Gimbab was too much and the food was really so so. The girl who worked at this place was nice and pleasant.

This place is freaking DELICIOUS! Hands down the best Korean fried chicken I ve ever had. Doesn t matter where I go, I feel sleepy and heavy after having Korean fried chicken. Not the case here. The chicken was so moist, crispy, and light! Honey butter is my new favorite flavor. Come here if you re craving fried chicken, it s worth it.

Street korean food!!!! The lil kimbab rolls are easy to eat where theyre not too salty or sweet. Goes well with the tteboki and the tteboki isnt the hurt spicy. Could use some soju to go with everything though

Got the combo with the tteokboki, odeng fishcake, and mayak kimbap (30.99). Also got the mungbean pancake (9.99). There was no wait to order when I went since I went for an early dinner, and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. The service was pretty good since the employee saw me waiting outside and brought my order to me, which was very kind of them to. As for the taste of the food, the tteokboki was a bit spicy was acceptable (even though I normally cant handle spice). The rice cake was nice and chewy. The fish cake was alright, nothing special. The mungbean pancake didnt have a special taste, just tasted like a fried pancake. There were only 4 slices but they were thick so didnt feel too small. The kimbap was my favorite of the three- it was nice and bite sized but also nothing really special about its taste. Overall, this was a decent meal but pretty pricey for the portions you get. Worth trying though if youre into korean street food!

Their seafood pancakes are to die for! So delicious! The Gimbap was pretty good too! Fish cake, don t leave it in the soup too long unless you are eating right away. It ll get too soft! The ttheobokki was a bit spicy for me. So if you like a bit of a kick, get it! Dip the Gimbap in it and it s delish! Next time I go, I d have to try their new dishes! Parking is difficult since it s a really small plaza with lots of food! So do get there early!

Delicious and authentic Korean street food. Make sure to try the rice drink which is perfectly sweet and refreshing. The mung bean pancakes, stir fried rice cakes, and fish cake soup are also some personal favorites. Really, try to order a bit of everything to get the full experience. The service is also great and super friendly. Its a fun place to have a casual lunch and when youre done, there are mochi donuts just around the corner for dessert!

My only complaint is that they dont have a restroom for customers. Oden fishcake soup was comforting. Mayak gimbap was refreshing. Tteokbokki was filling. I enjoy our seafood Mung Bean pancake and pork Mung Bean pancake; it were deliciously crispy. But dont expect this crispiness if you order it to go. I also tried their pork meat ball pancakes. It were very hearty. Id say out of the 5 dished we ordered, pork Mung Bean pancake was my favorite.
