THE ORIGINAL KABOBERY®
Dubbed "The Original Kabobery®," Massis Kabob has been around since the 1970's and has a devoted following. Massis Kabob specializes in Mid-Eastern cuisine served in a quick-serve format.
Our concept is simple: give customers what they want and do it at affordable prices so they keep coming back. Back in 1976, when the first Massis Kabob opened in Glendale, serving dinner-sized plates with high quality meats and sides was a fairly new concept in "fast-food," something we are proud to say we have perfected after forty years of service. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to bring our customers the Massis experience.
I ordered an Idaho Trout, which specifically had a “no bones” written on their menu. When I was about to take a bite, I noticed bones. Not only was this upsetting, but their Shirazi salad tasted like it went bad. We got 2, and the one my husband had was fine. But mine tasted strange. I will not return.

Most of the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. I recommend the A+B set meal, which is lamb + chicken. The only pity is that this store doesn't have an ice machine, so there are fewer ice cubes.

I'm only giving 2 stars because the food is actually good but this meal cost me 20 dollars. It's way overpriced and only 4 pieces on fish is ridiculous. I never eat the burnt tomato I dont know why they even put that. 2oz hummus is $1 dollar. They are very expensive and not much food. Also the salad is ok but again it will be nice to be able to substitute it for a small amount on hummus instead since I don't eat tomato salad and it's just a waste. Actually the chicken kebab is not that good now that I remember it taste like plastic. The beef is choppy so I always get the fish since it's the only good option.

Massis Kabob is a local institution for reasonably priced Mediterranean and Mid-Eastern cuisine. My wife and I recently had dinner at Massis in the mall food court. We happened to be craving gyros and decided to give this place a try. She always gets falafel and I get beef and lamb.
We could see the vertical rotisserie grill with the cone of gyro meat in the kitchen so I was excited to try the wrap. If I don't see the rotisserie I don't order the gyro.
When I opened the box I was a bit shocked. The wrap was long and thin, spaning the entire length of the container and completely hidden within sandwich wrapping paper. In that moment I had to remind myself that pita wraps can differ somewhat depending on each country's style and cultural traditions. I've had Greek, I've had Egyptian, this was neither.
OK dear reader, I can hear you thinking,"Get to the point! How was the food?" In short, really satisfying. The pita chips and hummus were an exceptionally good side. The pita itself larger and thinner than any I'd ever had before but exactly the same flavor. Excellent quality lettuce and tomato. I say that with certainty because my first bite was all pita, lettuce and tomato. By bite three I found the thinly shaved gyro meat and realized that the tangy yogurt sauce was not in the wrap but in the dipping sauce cup on the side.
I enjoyed my gyro and my wife enjoyed her falafel. If you are craving a gyro this place will satisfy. We are looking forward to returning and trying the famous kabob plates.
Fun Facts:
The first Massis Kabob location opened in 1976 in Glendale.
There are currently six locations around LA mostly in malls.
A seventh location is scheduled to open in early 2022. This location will be a stand alone dine in restaurant at 301 S Glendale Ave in Glendale.
So, do yourself a favor and give this place a try soon.

I recently tried Massis Kabob The Original Kabobery, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. While the meals are affordable, the flavors just weren’t there. I was really hungry, which made the food barely edible.
I ordered the Argentinian skirt steak, but it didn’t look anything like the picture. It was overcooked and dry, which was disappointing since I love food and steak in particular. This is definitely not the place to order steak.
The fries were also a letdown—they were overcooked and lacked flavor.
I can’t speak for the other menu items as the place was busy, but based on my experience, I would advise against ordering the steak and fries. On a positive note, my daughter and wife got Chinese food and ramen from the vendor next door, and it was delicious.
I won’t be coming back to Massis Kabob.

I ordered the Chicken Kabob plate. You usually can not go wrong with that. It lacked flavor and the whole plate was very dry. There was a lot of rice but no sauce or anything to help it slide. Prices are good but I guess you get what you pay for,

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a family meal to go. The chicken was under done and I got food poisoning. We called to complain and they then made us bring back all the food and because my family ate part of it they said they would not refund it. The staff there fought my boyfriend. We have never experienced such bad service before. Don’t eat here save yourself from getting sick friends.

I hosted a dinner party for my parents 57th anniversary and didn't want to fuss with the preparation of food. I went to the catering menu online and ordered 2 days prior to party.
I ordered chicken and the steak kabobs, (comes with 10 skewers each of the chicken and steak) each order comes with a very generous serving of rice and pita bread. I also ordered the #25, also on the catering menu. This also came with another large container of rice and pita bread, as well as roasted peppers and tomato. I wish I would have ordered more hummus though, that went quick, so good. The food was delicious! Everyone enjoyed it and vocalized how deliciousit was. Warning, totally my fault and not the restaurants. Be careful if using chaffing dishes. They are pretty and keep food warm, but can dry food out. It was my first time using and the heat was to high. Even still, I am very pleased. Also not snooze on the chimichurri! That stuff is ridiculously delicious. I picked up at the Arcadia mall location My food was ready at the time I requested it to be, nice and fresh. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They even helped me take food to my car. Would definitely use them again.

The first time I ordered it was good now this second time I didn't really like some of the food it turned out horrible they put too much seasoning I don't like pepper not everyone likes the ingredients I like natural and what They have flavor, it is not necessary to put so much salt or pepper in the food, you have to know how to taste it, but the way they do it, they should cook the food healthier, so many ingredients hurt the stomach, there are no longer good restaurants that do not cook well

As fast food goes this is excellent, I would say restaurant quality. Freshly cooked and served with a smile from the staff.
It is located in a shopping mall in the food Court so atmosphere is what it is but the food is very, very good.
The whole foodcourt was very busy so near to Christmas but the wait for my food was not nearly as long as I expected. The food was hot and nicely presented.

Food: usually delicious.
Service: pretty rude!
I ordered my food... Asked for a beef skewer and a ground beef skewer. I ordered 1 drink and she assumed it was coke. I corrected her. I wanted an Arnold palmer... The girl didn't know what that was. So I told her to just fill the cup with half lemon and I'll get tea that was located where customers could access...the lemonade was behind the counter. I saw that the girl had made some mistakes so I went back with my receipt. An older lady helped me out.... Made me feel like it was my fault! She did make the correction and gave me a refund for the difference. I saw that the girl charged me for 2 drinks... But whatever! I just wanted to be done. Then I went to pick up my food.... I got 1 coke and 1 lemonade. When I tried to explain again to the older lady... She kept saying /insisting that I ordered the coke! She even said "your husband," "your husband ordered the coke." first of all,
That lady wasn't even there when we placed the order! And my husband is a diabetic and wouldn't have even ordered it! But she just stood there and stared at me... Like I'm going to just give in and say "you're right? Geeze! I asked her plainly to please give me a lemonade and she did. 2 stars only because the food was good.

Massis Kabob is very delicious. We had falafel and chicken breast kabobs. Amazing food. This is the second time we had made our way to this establishment and it’s well worth it. The food portions are large. The flavors are very good. This particular Massis Kabob is located in a mall so be prepared to encounter a very busy eating place. We tend to find ourselves scouting a table location where one holds the table while the other heads their way to order. I found the customer service very friendly. The pricing seems on par with what you get. I do recommend Massis Kabob.

I got a tex that my food was ready. I did not wait that long which is great. When I got to the pick up counter , a short Latina lady and a young latino guy was packing the food , I showed them my tex , but the young latino guy told me to wait , so I waited, a latino customer behind me , who just got there got full attention they gave him his to go and everything else he needed then he left, I was trying to show the two employees the tex they sent me, but they just ignored me. They won't even look at the tex or me. Then a tall Latina lady came to the counter , so I told her that the two employees are ignoring me , she apologies and hand me my to go which was at the counter all this time. I told them it's not right to ignore a customer just because Iam not of the same race. I never had a problem at this food place, I was getting great service from the other ladies that worked here before the lock down. I guess this two are knew. They need to be trained to provide better service
