Cabrera's Mexican Restaurant

Located on Live Oak Ave. between 8th and Hempstead Avenues. Small private parking lot behind the restaurant.
We went here during lunch time on a Monday and were seated immediately. The restaurant is on the smaller side but has plenty of seating (booths and tables). There's also patio/outside seating.
I tried their 'Chimichanga' burrito with grilled steak. Food tasted good with fresh ingredients and portions are generous.
Service was amazing. Shout out to our server, 'Jasmine' who was extremely attentive and welcoming.
A family having lunch was celebrating a birthday, and the restaurant went above and beyond to make it special. They went to the birthday boy's table with a sparkler candle on a dessert, singing to him.
Overall, we had a good lunch experience here and will definitely return.

This was an amazing find! Authentic Mexican food and service. I had the Mole Enchiladas, Coconut Margarita, and Churros - all amazing! I especially loved the mole - not too sweet, and with a subtle kick! Recommend 100%

It was really good eating here. The seats are comfortable. The food was really good. The service was great. I really enjoyed my food here. The waitress was very kind. She was very kind to get me a herbal tea bag for my lemon 🍋 tea. I really needed a hot tea. I was very pleased. The price is understandable and fair. If I remember correctly, it was around $50 for 2 people. I would come again with friends or family.

Our dear friends of ours recommended try out the food at Cabrera's Mexican restaurant in Arcadia. This is our first time at the restaurant our friends told us the food is amazing good and also their alcoholic drinks were awesome they say. We came to the restaurant at Friday night it kinda pack full of customers enjoy company with friends and having with a great time.

We got seated right away and one of waiter hand us the menu and also got our drinks order. We look at the menu and decided to order the two.or three combination plate. My order the two item combinations a taquito and a chili renello and I order the three item plate comes with two hard shell chicken tacos and a chili renello. Then waiter brought us our meal it looks very good then I took some bite of the bean and rice full of flavors in both items the beans have great flavors with cheese amazing and rice season well with spice that make rice full of flavor.

The chile relleno was one of the best chile relleno I ever eaten. Throught years I have tasted many version of chile relleno but this chile relleno have so much flavor in one bite. The hard shell chicken tacos were very good crunchy I enjoy it. My wife enjoy her meal very much. Our waitess was very friendly and also the staff of the restaurant. When check with Yelp I received a free flan it was so good we enjoy..

We had my mothers 80th birthday celebration on the back patio. The experience was seamless from start to finish and they made it easy every step of the way. They offered buffet, limited menu or full menu options. They refrigerated the cake and ice cream which they brought out and served when appropriate. They allowed us to get there early and hang some decorations to make it a truly special experience. Thank you to the amazing service from the entire staff and Guillermo for making it as easy as possible.

My husband and I came here for the first time for an early dinner, and we were both very impressed! There was plenty of parking in the back, the staff is SUPER attentive and friendly, their food and drinks are amazing and the music they play…the best! I just wished I lived closer to go more often!

Cabrera's has become a favorite for my wife and I, we prefer this location over their other locations. The food is excellent, we've enjoyed the different selection and have enjoyed our choices. We have experience great service from the moment we arrive, everyone is very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is nice, very welcoming it truly feels like that you are dinning at a Mexican restaurant.

Food had decent flavor but it was cold, especially the rice and beans. Someone in our party had the tortilla soup and it was lukewarm. The service was good and the staff was attentive. Parking in back is tight and you may have to park on the street in front.

We found this place on google, we thought we were going to have a great experience with our family, specially because it was my son birthday but, when we got there we got our first bad experience when we asked to be seated outside, and the lady with the name of Lee straight out said no we couldn’t.They had a nice place outside for eating and we wanted outside because we have a 2yr old girl and we know that they could get a little hyper after eating, so she wanted to get of the chair after she was done eating but immediately the same lady with name of Lee got upset because my daughter was walking close to our table she said that she need to be sitting down in a chair, and when she told me that I got so upset because my kids didn’t even finish eating, but because she made us feel so uncomfortable we just started picking up we paid and left, it was a terrible experience for me and my kids specially for my birthday boy that didn’t even finish his food.

We walked into the restaurant and asked to be seated outside due to our two year old daughter being full of energy and right away a lady named Lee said no, and walked away. I found that very rude, but payed not much attention to it.The young gentleman that helped us out was very kind and set us inside right away, we received are food after ordering everything is going good until the same lady got upset because my daughter got out of her chair and walked around the table coming towards me and right away she told me I gotta take care of my kid. I found that extremely rude and very unprofessional. We got our stuff got up, ended up paying the tab and leaving. This has been one of the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant I would definitely not recommend this place for anyone with kids or family nor will I ever be returning what a terrible experience I had in case you’re wondering her name was Lee a older Hispanic lady with curly hair the way she was talking to the staff I believe she perhaps was the manager.

Amazing place! I would say the presentation, food quality and authentic flavors made me feel I am in Mexico.

You can just say good quality by their chips and salsa. Didn’t even have to wait for main course.

We always pass by this place and My bf and I went here and we were greeted with a nice host. It was our first time and the food was great and service was great. We enjoyed our time here and they were about to close but we didn’t feel rushed. Definitely coming back soon!

They advertise happy hour, $1 off beer at arcadia location from 3pm-7pm. Got there at 6:30 asked for a draft beer and asked about the special. The dude with the "safety glasses" lol said no, only specials on margueritas. Sucks, $12 for a 22oz draft.

We recently had a small family reception at Cabreras. The food was amazing; the well drinks were delightful. Every member of our party said it was the best Mexican food they had in recent memory. I had the fish tacos made with the freshest ingredients. The members in our party who are vegetarian had several *real* delicious options.
Guillermo and staff made sure that our family event went off without a hitch: they were attentive and kind. Next time we're in Southern California, we'll go out of our way to dine at Cabrera's Arcadia.

Ordered over the phone since the online ordering was not working for us. Usually things are missing when we order over the phone or online. We had a big order and they got everything on point. Nothing missing! And they seemed busy when I picked up the food. Food was amazing too!

Recommend the pina colidas and the chicken and cheese enchilada plates, they are worth the visit and delicious The La Mangonadas are pretty good and okay, they make them pretty quick and light. Service is fine and okay. And its pretty quiet and spacious here, nor too busy in the afternoons and close to dinner time 4-7pm.

We absolutely love going to Cabrera's. Usually with my parents and my kids and everyone leaves happy. The chips and salsa are so good I'm usually full before my food arrives. The service is excellent. My family loves Guillermo our waiter. I can't say enough nice words about how well we are treated. He knows my order the way I like it. I actually forgot how I ordered it last time, and he reminded me. The chips and salsa are never ending. I recently dined at a Mexican restaurant and was impressed by the nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff was friendly, although they did make a few mistakes with our order. It happens, but I would recommend double-checking your bill just in case. The restroom was extremely small, making it challenging for more than 2 people to walk in at a time, and there was no changing table for kids.

Now onto the food- the mixed drinks were tasty and the desserts were absolutely delicious. The ranchera meat was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The carnitas were too dry for my liking. I highly recommend trying it if you visit this restaurant. Overall, despite a few minor hiccups, I had a pleasant dining experience and would likely return in the future.

This place is great! Great food! They have TV's , so you can watch sports. The waiters are constantly taking care of you and making sure you are taken care of and have what you need. I have seen them make birthdays special! The food and drinks are good. The Flan is good. Friendly and helpful staff. If you like Mexican Food, definitely come to this place.

Their "juicy steak" is relatively dry. Mostly has to do with the flank being thin, but that's just me. I couldn't eat another bite after I eat the jalapeño, so only eat it after finishing your meal.

The Jamaica and horchata are made in house. The fish tacos were incredible, so big i had to take 2 bites across! So flavorful and perfectly fried up! The roasted pepper salsa was really good too! A little spicy but not too much to handle. My friend got the mole enchiladas and raved about the sauce. The service was great too, our waitress brought refills before we were empty, let us come in for lunch even though they didn't technically open for another 10 minutes or so. The bathroom was clean and surprisingly spacious. Would definitely come here again. The prices are a little on the high side, but maybe i need to calibrate cuz prices everywhere are on the high side. The food is worth the extra money though for sure.

Overall experience and quality of food was great! But for 2x meals 2x sodas, our total for the whole meal was $80 bucks. 🥹 I got the "Asada Mexcio" plate while my mom got the "Asada with shrimp" sooooo I definitely will save the restaurant for special occasions. Or treat yourself day. 😅

Cabrera’s have became a lil go to spot for my family on and off. Not a spot we’d hit up every week, but we’re there every month or so. The food smells amazing with large portions and a very vibrant atmosphere at night. Last time we went we ended up spending around $20/person. We all were very full at the end of the meal with a little extras to go.

Been to a couple of Cabrera's multiple times, and my family have decided that Cabrera's in Arcadia is the best out of all. Fast and kind service is always appreciated, and nothing I have ordered ever disappointed me once. Chips and salsa are always the best as well. I have not found any other restaurants that serve better chips and salsa together from hole in the wall to fancy Mexican restaurants. Thanks to your staffs front and back, can't wait for my next visit!

Cabrera’s was such a welcoming and friendly restaurant , the staff was quick to make sure everything was going great, and this place has got to be one of the best when it comes to how on top of the work the employees are! The food was super good, I recommend the Steak Picado for any meat lovers. The molcajete salsa the meat comes in is too good to pass up. Just be careful not to fill up on those chips and salsa before the main course!

My wife and I been trying different cabrera's restaurants and so far this is the best one. We love their blackberry margaritas and so far love their chicken fajitas trio. We came here twice and have to say Valentino is our best server and always checks in on our table every 5 mins to ensure everything is okay. On my date night with my wife he brings out flowers to our table which makes everything special for us. Thank you my friend and you will be seeing us again soon.
