Menya Hanabi is the original pioneers of Mazesoba, also known as Mazemen, in Japan. We specialize in Japanese “dry” ramen layered with chives, green onion, and seaweed topped off with our specialty spicy ground pork that sits in a saucy base. We are the third wave of ramen (after traditional soup ramen and tsukemen) which has become increasingly popular all over the world. We have over 35 locations worldwide!
McDonald's might have provided better service. At least my number would be called when the food is ready. This place they need you to order online while seated inside at a table. Then no confirmation whether the order was received. You just sit and wait. Or maybe sit and pray the food will show up.
With that said, our wait was long, no status or visit by staff. We got water and utensils upon seating. I ordered the house/original noodle given almost everything were about the same. Food showed up after 20 some minutes but it was worth the wait. The menu said soup costs extra and I didn't know WTF?! The soup for noodle soup costs extra? But then the noodles were dry stir type where just enough sauce kept them tasty. No soup. Almost stirred the left over mayo sauce from the fried chicken into the noodles.
Glad that wasn't needed as the noodle sauce was good. The noodles were a heavier weight almost udon type noodle with more starchy texture. It's dense when you take big bites and chew. It was tasty. Prices are average nowadays. $16 and up. Tips are still expected unfortunately. Is this really how customers are served wherever this place was originated? If so, this is super authentic... After a comparison , we figured out the "delux" noodle had an extra egg. Not much else.

So it has been a while since I have been back to this place, and I can say the food is still really good. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is the waiting system. Me and my family (with kids) had to wait over an hour in order for us to get a seat. To be exact, hour and 15 min. I thought by this point they would have at least looked into some other ways to make it easier for customers to get in. I like that they have the whole party here to be seated, but if there is a yelp waitlist, or something that can even send a text message, this would be amazing. I saw so many people end up leaving, or not being able to get seated because they were missing a person or 2. With the system now you HAVE to wait outside, and listen for them to call your name. Maybe it is a marketing strategy, or perhaps it is just the system that they have set up.
Regardless this review is no way to say this restaurant is not good or anything. The food is still really good, including the Chicken Appetizer we ordered. Since I don’t live around here, I would have to try to strategize when to come here to eat. I hope the new location they are planning to open in Irvine will have this in consideration.

Food was phenomenal, i got the Mazesoba and Hanabi Chashu Buns and both were fantastic. The only complaint I have is the chashu was a little tough and dry but the flavor was still there. Also the hard boiled egg was cold, I’m not sure if it was supposed to be or not. We went on a Sunday a few minutes after their second opening and got immediately seated despite most of the restaurant being full already. The food took a while to come out but I think it was just cause they had just opened and everyone had just ordered as well.

Tried Menya Hanabi for the first time. Got seated at the counter. Staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba with side of broth. Popped the egg and mixed it up. Pretty good first impression taking the first bite… very flavorful, and the noodles were cooked just right for my taste, not overcooked, just slightly firm. Sipping the side of broth between every few bites serves as a good balance with the full flavor of the noodles. Overall a good experience. I would recommend checking this place out if you’ve never visited.

Love this place, it hits a nice savory umami craving and is very filling as you get a small but perfect amount of rice at the end to soak up all the beef goodness that’s left over. Partner prefers to sub out the fish powder cause it’s a little too strong for him. I recommend splashing vinegar on the noodles as you go but others are more generous with putting it in the beginning once.
Order from the QR code that’s dangling off the side of the table. Their chicken karaage is in bigger chunks but still juicy and tender

We love the food at this restaurant it s unlike a lot of other types of cuisine. It s become a staple in our house because of the unique flavors and the quality of food. We go for the deluxe with a side of broth and it is amazing every time. The customer service is also excellent, we recently had a minor issue with our order that we placed over the phone, and the employees were so helpful and kind.

We walked in at 8:15PM, 45 minutes before closing time, asking the host when last call is. The host said, we can seat you now, and pointed at the table. We sat down and the other waiter says, get on the waitlist before you sit down. We ask the host again, what time is last call? She said 8:20. We write our names down to wait and in the meantime, we scanned the menu outside. They then seated us down pretty quickly. They simply pointed to a table for us to sit down. We sat down for 30 whole minutes, not knowing we had to scan the QR code to order because we were not instructed to. This was our first time here.

First, you have to scan a QR code to get the menu, means wait staff is minimal. Hence why when I asked for another Coke, the waitress completely forgot and I had to ask again 10 mins later! Funny considering the drink refrigerator was only 10 feet away. Food appearance was average, nothing special or exciting. As for the taste, well there is a reason why ramen wasnt invented in Taiwan. LOL. Lastly, upset stomach when I got back home tells me no second time there.

The mazesoba was delicious! I modified mine after putting in my order, which you can do by scanning the QR code on the table. I shared with a friend for the tofu dish and takoyaki. Both were amazing! I would be careful with both, though, since the insides were a bit hot. I ordered the broth with it, but mistakenly drank it like tea instead of pouring it over the mazesoba. Broth is meat based, so if youre vegetarian or vegan, dont pick that option! I didnt see a lot of vegan/vegetarian options, but you can definitely modify your food on the app. Overall: food is good, service was reasonable, atmosphere was LOUD. I could barely hear my friend talking sometimes, but the vibes were good.

I am a repeating customer to this restaurant in Arcadia, Los Angeles. Yesterday I tried to order a lunch pickup via Grubhub, but things went a little crazy somewhat. Later on when I arrived on the site I realized that, they don t work on Tuesdays. But the transaction is still open. So for safety sake, I ordered again through another 3rd party service provider. By arriving on the site, they fully realized that this is a mistake for a repeating guest, and it s even not a mistake of me. But today, they tried all they could to urge me pay for both orders, although obviously part of them was an order for yesterday, which physically they can never cook and give it to me without a time machine. For me to say, I believe it is a commercial fraud, or say deceptive acts, as they want to charge me for a service that is past due over 24 hours, and obviously they never carried on. So, if any attorneys agrees that it makes a case, and like to participate for a possible legal action against this sore freely, please leave your comment and contact information here. I will check from time to time. Grubhub was perfect, they confirmed to refund the amount, which is, actually, a little bit over 20 dollars. This is the amount the store wanted to squeeze out of the pocket of a repeating customer.

My second time trying mazesoba, and it was delicious better than the one we have in New York. The noodle was perfectly cooked and the pork was so tender and juicy, with the right amount of fat. Reasonably priced for the huge portion. Definitely coming here again on our next LA trips. Highly recommend.

Hard to pick just one good place i ate in Los Angeles...stayed again in east la so had the tacos and noodle shops closeby. Tried out this Japanese Nagoya Mazemen place on the way back from Norco since it was closeby in Arcadia and wow. Mad kine umamzz. Now i know why this place packs a crowd. First time here, waitress recommended the Original Mazemen and a side soup to clean your pallette. Mixed this bowl up and add more spice or vinegar to your liking...Winnahs. After you finish the noodles you can ask for a free small rice that you can add to whats leftover in the bowl so you can mop that bowl clean Too bad theres so much places to go in so little time 5 stars

Hands down the best Mazesoba in town! Firm warm noodles with eggs that enhances texture. Topped with their special tan-tan style sauce and finished with chives, green onions, ginger and all that good stuff. Super friendly and attentive staff although I personally prefer getting it to go thanks to the speedy service. An interesting menu item is their signature Mazesoba but mixed in with curry sauce. You would think the curry would overpower the noodles but the taste still stands strong and shines through the curry to form something incredibly unique. Definitely worth trying if youre ever nearby.

The star of the show here is definitely their brothless ramen. My partner and I shared the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba and a fried tofu side. Both were done very well with a ton of flavor. As you near the end of your bowl the server offered a complimentary small little scoop of rice which was perfect to get all of the remaining flavor at the bottom of the bowl. We also arrived around 6-ish on a Friday night and took the second to last table. Thereafter there were several parties outside waiting. The restaurant is located in a major plaza with a lot of free parking but on a busy night you may need to park further, but not a huge deal. Parking: Large free parking lot in a major plaza so it can get a little busy

Ive always wanted to eat here since I learned about it through social media a few months ago. Today, a couple of friends and I drove 40 miles from Long Beach to Arcadia through the rain to arrive at a restaurant that served food we were highly anticipating. It was sooooo worth the drive! We were kindly welcomed, the server was friendly, and the food was served fast. All three of us ordered the deluxe Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba. It was amazingly delicious. The breaking of the egg as I then watch the yolk melt into the meat before I stir it was satisfying. The flavors were full and it all worked well together. We also ordered broth on the side which complimented the dish very well with sips between every few bites. The appetizers were also delicious. We had the cold tofu with sesame oil and bonito flakes and Takoyaki. Both prepared our stomachs for what was to come. My friends and I vouch for this place and know for sure that today will not be our last visit.

Lively and quite busy but luckily we were just popping in for a quick takeout order. Tried their original mazesoba and it was perfect! The noodles were thick and chewy, and the sauce and all the mix-ins (garlic, fish powder, chives, green onions, spicy minced pork, seaweed and a poached egg) were magical together. Quality wise, I felt like I was eating mazesoba back in Japan instead of slurping down those delicious noodles in the car, in the parking lot of a strip mall LOL

The meal was fine until a waiter walked by carrying dirty dishes and dropped them all and spilled dirty dish water all over my head, clothes and in my food and drinks. He apologized and then brought a stack of dirty napkins him and one of the other waitresses (who were aware of what happened) just ignored us for the rest of the meal but how do you continue eating your food after getting dumped on? They did not comp in any way and just ignored us until we left. Order takeout unless you want to risk being soaked with dirty dish water. Disgusting dining experience, would not recommend. Update, re: Business s Response Yes it did happen tonight and no it should not matter whether it s dirty dish water or water from a jug that customers drink from. That was not communicated and it is still gross either way. I am fully aware accidents happen but there was a clear lack of communication from the server and the other server involved. I told her that water had spilled all over me and in my food and that I wasn t finished with my meal and she said oh sorry I ll be right back and then left and continued to service other tables and ignored us until we left, 10 min later. None of your staff ever came back to check on us or communicate the 10% discount and no it was not reflected in our bill. We came back afterward to remove the tip because of how poorly you all handled the situation. Imagine trying to finish your meal after getting water dumped across your table and your hair and clothes are soaked. Accidents happen but how you respond makes all the difference. Your customers deserve to be treated better than that.

First bite was good, but as you continue to eat, it starts getting monotonous. The mazesoba has alot of oil so it is a heavy meal. They give you a free scoop of rice when you finish the noodles to mix the remaining sauce with. Honestly, the rice with the sauce is better. Also tried the monster fries, and it was really good. Definitely give it a try.

This message is specifically for the owner/manager working the night of December 23rd. Your Vegan Mazesoba is inedible. The oil and garlic flavor is so overpowering, it left me with a roaring stomach ache. When I brought this up with my waitress, she quickly ran to the back to speak with someone, came back and said she was unable to give me a refund because 1) There was garlic listed in the ingredients on the menu (so its my fault for ordering it) 2) I had already taken a bite from my bowl (I had eaten about 3 bites when I started feeling sick) and 3) If they gave me a refund, they would have to give everyone a refund. Is this a common complaint? The poor waitress was clearly nervous, delivering this information to me. I told her its really unfortunate, since it was our first time visiting. I asked her what I was supposed to do with my dish. I couldnt eat it, it made me sick. She said the best she could do was take a percentage off the dish, about $2. Manager, you need to know that the Vegan dish is inedible. And yes, if a costumer complains about a dish, the least you could do is offer to remake it. We wont be returning due to poor customer service. Very disappointing.

The flavors of the Original Nagoya Mazesoba are so delicious and full of umami. I love garlic and they definitely do not skimp out, so that s a huge plus for me. I also feel like most places spicy levels don t really have a kick, but Menya Hanabi knows how to do it right !! Service has been top notch and very attentive every time I stop by, which makes the experience 10000x better. They also have Vegan Mazesoba, which I recently discovered, and it is SO GOOD !! Very accommodating for everyone. Just as flavorful but with a sesame flavor, so it s perfect if you like nutty, creamier flavors.

Quick Summary Great food and IG/Yelp worthy photos. Fantastic value and really appreciate having a legit Japanese ramen franchise in the SGV (less need to drive to South Bay / Sawtelle, LA). A reminder that you can ask for less salt and oil if you prefer. I ve never tried brothless ramen before, but it was an excellent and must-do experience! Food- 5 stars Chashu Nagoya- have to order the classic. This is very good. Try to add a bit of vinegar to cut out the heaviness towards the end of the meal. They offer complimentary white rice at the end of you want to soak up the rest of the sauce! Yes, like all ramen, its very heavy, so just a reminder you have the option to ask for less salt and oil if you prefer. I personally like to order the non-spicy, but recommend spicy if you want extra flavor and like spicy foods Service- 5 stars The service was solid throughout. Quick, fast casual dining with attentive servers Bottom Line Menya Hanabi is truly a gem in the SGV. Great food and fantastic value. Its quickly become my go-to whenever Im in the Arcadia area

I was nervous at first because of the poached egg and everything but honestly once it mixes with the seasonings and garlic it is SO good! I will mention that it will make you and your clothes smell. So if you are going anywhere afterwards keep that in mind lol

First time and definitely will not be the last! Phenomenal noodles and very unique! Gotta get the noodles spicy! Just the right amount of kick. I wish they gave more noodles rather than the bowl of rice. Still excellent!

Great food and very good service. The food is delicous and they have some creative drinks on the menu. My fav is the Yuzu Matcha. The only thing that kills me is the screech of chairs as they are moved; super loud and annoying. But other than that, it is a great food spot. Its small, so be prepared to wait if you go at a busy time. We like to go on Sunday around 630 or 7. Get your dish spicy... so yummy.

Everything is delicious except tofu Tofu is a bit hard~ A bowl of noodles + a side dish is just right for two people! It s a relatively heavy-tasting Japanese meal~ Whats a pity about takoyaki is that the taste of bonito flakes is very bland~ But it s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and delicious There are many guests~ The slow speed of serving is a drawback!

First, just want to thank the head waiter for being absolutely apologetic and kind trying to accommodate us after a couple blatantly told him they were on the list as me and took our table that we drove over 1 and 30 mins to eat the noodles. The noodles were thick and chewy with nice amount of sauce. Reminds me of being in Tokyo and the food was exceptionally delicious. The staff were all very supportive with a smile. Aside the thief table family who ruined our experience at the start, the food and staff made up for it.

Been coming here every few months since this place has opened and it still doesn t disappoint. Love their style of noodles called mazesoba which is served without broth or soup unless you order it as a side. Depending on who you ask, the noodles originated from Nagoya, Japan and uses Taiwanese style minced meat as the main ingredient for its signature bowl. It s all very delicious and the reason why it might be hard to get a seat on the weekend. Cool thing is they give you a small scoop of rice when you are almost done with your meal so that you can mix it in with whatever sauce you have leftover. It s filling and, to be honest, a little fun mixing it in. Love this place and will come back for more because there aren t too many places like this around.

My Los Angeles friends pointed this place out as a unique soupless ramen that they fell in love with in Japan and finally found a place here in the U.S. that they deemed worthy enough for me to try. Mazesoba (or Mazemen), literally translated into English as mixed noodle, is a soupless ramen that has been gaining recognition and popularity in Japan We all ordered the deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba in which I was educated about mixing in the chili powder, Chili oil (available upon request) and vinegar in small parts in between bites to evolve the flavor as its eaten. I loved the different layers of complexity that the bowl offered and the way the soft boiled egg yolk amalgamated with their signature toppings like the spicy seasoned ground pork, bean sprouts, green onion, and chives to create a strong umami flavor that I wont be forgetting any time soon. Currently this location is so busy they take no reservations and only add waitlist names in person. Recommended you plan your meal here in advance or risk getting turned away.

I ordered the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba ($17.59). noodles were thick and flavors were quite good. Cha sew was nice and fatty, minced pork added interesting texture, Egg was pretty good. I opted for the mild spice level however definetly should have gone with spicy as there was little heat for my girlfriends order. Added it on after the fact however wasnt the same. Came here on a Sunday Evening and had little to no wait time, service was quitet good.

I went here because I saw a video on IG that hyped it up. I m a ramen fan, but I ve never had dry ramen before so I had to go. This was a solo mission. I arrived on a 7:10pm on a Saturday. There was a line of about 20 before me and the restaurant was packed. Despite that the line moved quickly and I got seated in about 15mins. I sat at the bar and watched the cooks work their magic. They are efficient and precise. The food wait was about 15 minutes just like the server said. I ordered the Chashu Nagoya Mazesoba spicy with a side of broth and the rest is history. I don t know what they put in that bowl but it is absolute Magic! If you like noodles and bowls of flavor go here! I m glad I live nearby. I will be coming back often.

It pains me a little to write this review. My husband and I love Menya and whenever we re in Arcadia, he asks if we can stop by. When I came tonight without him, he asks for me to bring him some. The mazesoba is full of umami, really unique, and a quick, easy meal. There s a bit of a wait but it moves fast. The reason why they don t get five stars is because today when we dined in, the table was wet and had food scraps on it. When we asked the sever to wipe it again, he brushed us off and said it was the sanitizer. I pointed to the food left on the table. The server just picked few but not all of the bits and walked away. I thought he was going to come back and wipe it down again. He didn t. I had to wipe down the table myself. My parents complained that it was dirty (sadly, I wanted to introduce them to one our fave places!). I m not sure they ll come back. This just left me really confused and disappointed. I also don t know if they forgot my take out order and had to remind them I was waiting for it. They hadn t gotten my name, so there wasn t really a way for them to track my order. I waited close to 20min. Once I asked abt it, it came out in a few minutes.

First time here and got the original, spicy, with poached egg. Was extremely delicious and perfectly spicy. The chicken nanban was also great. Its like a chicken crange (sp) with some sauce on top sitting in some salad. Not sure if its worth a dollar and change more than chicken carange, but yummy all the same.

Located in the Arcadia shopping center with Burlington. Lots of parking, but still gets busy even during the week. The food was great. The deluxe Nagoya (al dente) was full of flavor for a dry noodle offering. I also tried a couple of their seasonal noodles, the Taiwan and black garlic ramens. I definitely recommend their new tofu appetizer with the ground meat on top. It s a small place and they get crowded. Depending what time you go, you can expect a little bit of a wait. It goes faster than you think. Wasn t a fan of how close together the tables are. I don t enjoy eating with strangers and having to hear their conversations.

Overall: 4.7/5 (dine in) We came on a Saturday night an hour before closing and every table was still taken. We had a party of 5 so we had to wait about 30 minutes since they only had 2 tables for big parties. After we put our names down, a bunch of other people showed up and put their names down. They close the wait list and kitchen on time but their customer service was still really good. My mom cant eat pork so she got the curry vegan mazesoba. They have very limited vegetarian options FYI. Hanabi Monster Fries ($10.49): The fries legit taste like McDonalds french fries and are the same length and width. They give pretty big pieces of karaage. The diced pork belly is more overcooked and dry compared to the side order we got with the mazesoba. Nothing really stood out about this dish so I wouldnt get it again. Kimista ($2.99): This is an add on item my husband got for his mazesoba. It was soft, tasty, and went well with the mazesoba. (Spicy) Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba ($17.59): You can choose between spicy or non-spicy. I got spicy and it wasnt too bad. The portion is huge, and the food is really heavy so I had leftovers. I gave one of my soft boiled eggs half to my mom since there was a lot of protein already. What makes this dish super creamy is the egg yolk in the middle that youre supposed to break and mix in with your noodles. I wasnt a huge fan of the chashu since it was a bit too thick & a bit dry. However, I love the complexity of this dish. The flavors are good but you can change it up by adding vinegar and/or chili flakes. The vinegar is surprisingly one of the best ones I had. Highly recommend trying! After you finish the noodles, you have the option of getting a side of rice and mixing it with the remaining sauce to eat. If you want a less creamy version, maybe try Mogumogu.

This place was busy when we went on a Monday evening, but the service was great. The staff kept checking up on us to make sure we were doing okay. The noodles texture was firmer than in the regular (soupy) ramen, so keep that in mind if you like softer noodle (maybe you can request softer noodle, but I wanted to try the original and also didnt know what to expect). Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available (I didnt try so cannot offer any opinion).

My meal tasted good. However, my girlfriend was not quite as fortunate with hers. She immediately noted that her meal was not as delicious as it should have been. After our meal, my girlfriend said that the food upset her stomach and that she didnt feel too well. Im not sure if it was placebo, but I started feeling the same way a few hours after my meal and the morning after. This sucks because we were really excited for our meal and it was a disappointment to all involved. L + Ratio Vegetarian options: Many options with a dedicated vegetarian menu and substitutions. Parking: Open space in a shared plaza.

The story on the wall says it all. Its Japanese ramen with a Taiwanese twist. Tbh, at first I thought this was just another Asian fusion restaurant. But boy, was I wrong! From the appetizers to the sides, even to the noodles itself, all were actually pretty good. I honestly loved their Takoyaki, Ive been trying lots of places around SoCal, and I must say, it was probably the best and the closest flavor to what I had in Japan. Oh, so buttery and creamy. Speaking of the Mazesoba, I would recommend getting their Deluxe Nagoya mazesoba and adding $1.49 for their bone broth. It reminded me of dry noodle combos in Taiwan (dry noodle+soup+sides). The noodles were bouncy and al dente, and the broth was flavorful. Would highly recommend following the recommended steps to mix the egg yolk thoroughly with vinegar. So good! All In all, they really nailed it with a good twist. Some might think the pork belly was not as tender as other ramen places. But I dont care lol. Overall, it was a good bowl of carbs that I enjoyed on my cheat day! Yum!

Great ramen! Ramen has a good balance of softenes and chewyness. The sauce has so many layers of flavors and aromas, the fish powder gives it a nice umami taste. On its on is delicious, then addition of vinegar gives the ramen a whole different (yummy) taste! Original is more than enough to fill me up.

Always love menya, their noodles are great, and the vinegar really draws out the flavor. Deducted 2 stars because I asked for their $5 matcha latte with no ice, and this is what they gave me. I expected less for sure, but didn t expect ice to fill half the cup. Also, someone in my family really dislikes green onion, so I always ask them to leave them out of one bowl, but they never do it (this is for delivery)

Ive lived in Japan as a kid and Im no amateur to the food, but this particular type of dish that they serve here was something completely new to me. I didnt want to go too hearty and just got The Original bowl and I thought I would still be a bit hungry thinking I should have gone with the Deluxe but that was definitely not the case. I was completely stuffed but the noodles were so good I practically slurped my way through these in an instant. If youre familiar with Japanese food but havent tried this style of noodles, this should be the first place you stop into because this will be my new staple.

Very intrigued to try dry ramen and was not sure what to expect. Not sure dry ramen is a great descriptor as it has plenty of sauce/liquid, maybe closer to a ramen carbonara?!?! We were seated right away at the counter and I love being able to watch everything being made. Starter with the potato croquettes and they were heavenly- crispy yet creamy on the inside. Had the Chashu Mazesoba with a poached egg and would order it again. The rice vinegar is probably a necessity to help cut through the richness of the dish and when you get everything together it is a perfect bit. I am not sure how you could finish a bowl and need rice, I could not finish mine but I bet it would be a great match with the left over sauce. Definitely will stop by again and bring my appetite!!!

Place a little small and not good for big groups. Tables setup either for 2 or 4 people QR code scan for menu Some new appetizers and drinks menu tape on top of the table Geso Nanban (Fried squid legs with tartar sauce) $8.49 - this is good. Maybe I like fried and crunchy Chicken Nanban (Fried chicken dipped in our homemade sweet & sour sauce topped off with tartar sauce) $8.49 -- I like better without the sauce or prefer the sauce on side instead on the top. I dont like when breading gets soft. Hanabi Tofu (Fried tofu topped off with our special ground pork and green onions) $6.49 -- Tofu is so good when hot and breading still crunchy. What I dislike it there is a lot of oil on plate after short while. Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba (Ingredients from the original plus chashu (grilled marinated pork belly slices), ajitama (Japanese seasoned soft-boiled egg), and nori (seaweed sheets). Choice between poached egg or no egg. ) $16.49 -- Sauce is thick and make me full fast which is 1st time. Hot Matcha Green tea - no sweet and daisy free $4.49. I couldnt drink it because smelly fishy. Its same smell I had when I in Japan. Homemade ice matcha latte w/ milk and sugar $4.99. This one taste so much better and doesnt have fishy smell. Services was great except they got our drink incorrect.

Unexpected delicious fusion food. These noodles are as if dan dan noodles were a carbonara, seasoned for a milder Japanese taste and then topped like ramen yet served with a thicker udon noodle. Was much more filling than I expected and leftover heated up better than I imagined. The karage, croquettes, and matcha tea were also very good. The karage is crispy and well seasoned, the croquettes are creamy and perfectly coated, the matcha latte is thick and rich. IMO due to the richness of the sauce and egg yolk, the deluxe bowl has a bit too much protein going on (poached egg, soft boiled egg, char sui pork, and taiwanese meat sauce) so I prefer the original (poached egg and meat sauce). Also due to the richness, I think the vinegar is key for cutting through the flavor. It becomes a bit one dimensional if you don t add the vinegar. Overall excellent experience

A small restaurant located in a plaza. They are known for serving soupless dishes. They also have appetizers and rice bowls. ::Food:: I was excited to go here because of all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I wasnt impressed but Ill give it another try. Maybe its because we had the food to go instead if of dining in. We got the Original Nagoya Mazesoba. It has fish powder, dry noodles, minced pork, green onion, seaweed, garlic, and egg yolk (option: poached egg or no egg). You can get a side of broth for an additional cost. According to the description of their dishes, first-time customers should add vinegar and get it spicy. Putting the vinegar into the dish will bring out the flavor. We didnt know its best to get it spicy. One of the staff did tell me about the vinegar but I didnt taste anything different. ::Customer Service:: Friendly staff ::Covid-19 Protocols:: -Staff wears a mask -Credit card payment only; no cash -If there are no seats available or ordering to go, wait outside ::Notes:: -Spacious parking lot -Indoor dining only

4/5 Ive been wanting to try this place for a while. I keep seeing pictures and videos of this place on instagram and I was very excited to have an opportunity to come try it when I was in the area. I came here back in July of 2021 and it was still outdoor dining. The experience is pretty much the same. The food was fresh and very flavorful. I got the original with Chashu and it was very delicious. Theres going to be a lot of extra sauce at the end, so make sure you ask for rice so it can soak all that juice up. Its enough to become a separate meal with that side of rice. One down side is that I feel like it was very salty. I ended up having to drink a lot of water after this meal.

This place has the best ramen, it s not your typical dry noodles. It comes with a poached egg (it looks raw, but it s not) it mixes so well with all the other toppings and gives a nice sauce like textures. There s so much flavor! For all the vegans & vegetarians out there, they now offer a vegan option and it was equally tasty as the regular bowls with meat. I ve been back to this place multiple and it never disappoints.

After moving back to the US I was disappointed because there was never a good place to buy abura/maze soba. That was until I found this place. I can say the food cooked here is the same quality as whats in Japan. Definitely check this place out - it s very unique food. It s also the only place in the entire US that specializes in it. Hope they expand to other cities soon!

Food/Taste/Flavor: 3/5 - fun to try something new, taste is not for everyone. Their website states it s a mazesoba which is like a dry ramen. But it was mixed with some oil base and a raw egg. The noodles are thicker and chewier than most ramen too. Ambience: N/A - it s blocked off by clear, plastic dividers into the store but have an outdoor seating area Service: 5/5 - straight to the point and gave us estimated wait time Value for price: 3/5 - $12 - $17 per bowl so really depends on how much you enjoy the food.

So I got their Original Dry Noodles to go. I also remember (pre-covid) it comes with a small bowl of rice. If you order to go, you dont get it. However, if you dine in, you get it. I also tried out their Japanese Sausage. As you can see it comes with three small pieces. Not worth it at all. Plus, the sausage reminds me of hot dogs? It was sad. Their noodles are good. Super flavorful. You can order it spicy. It comes with a side of vinegar you can pour into your noodles. I tried a few bites without the vinegar and felt that once you add the vinegar, the flavor is not as strong.
