Spicy noodles & other Sichuan dishes are served in a chic, two-story setting with a rooftop patio.
Excellent Chinese food with a modern twist. We had the alumni get together in a big dining room that can seat 24 ppl. They can also accommodate karaoke!
We ordered all kinds of meat, seafood, soup and appetizers. The lobster, fatty duck and sweet and sour fish are must-haves!

One of the top Chinese meals I have had. 🙌🏼👍🏼Those Szechuan peppercorns🔥 did their magic on my taste buds. 💦Lots of garlic. Ordered the lunch for two because it was much cheaper than ordering the dishes individually. I have about half as leftovers.
The cold royal jelly noodles in chili oil was a great way to start. Refreshing and zippy.
Beef and tofu in chili oil was also excellent. Big tender pieces of beef.
The wok fried pork belly was probably my favorite, very spicy and fresh/vibrant.
finally, the bok choy with lots of garlic was also very good.
excellent service, friendly staff.
I would definitely recommend this place.

After having a very bad experience at Sichuan Impression, which had been one of my favorite restaurants for many years, we decided to switch our go-to Sichuan restaurant. Chengdu Impression offers authentic, classic Chengdu cuisine—it's not modified for American tastes.
Be cautious with the spice level, especially with the cold dishes. They are spicier than usual, even compared to Chengdu's local standards. The numbing sensation (numbing spice) isn't as strong as I would have liked.
Overall, it's a good restaurant with classic, straightforward cooking—nothing fancy. If you're looking for traditional Sichuan flavors, this place is worth a try.
酸辣凉粉 Hot & Sour Jelly Noodle - $12.99
The texture was excellent, with a perfect balance between softness and firmness. It was spicier than average, with a good flavor and the strong fragrance of Sichuan red oil. 8/10
青椒拌茄子 Eggplant in Green Pepper Sauce - $12.99
It was acceptable, but the eggplant wasn't as good as what you'd typically find in China. 7/10
夫妻肺片 Sliced Beef & Beef Tripe in Chili Sauce - $23.99
Very spicy, with the beef and tripe sliced thinly to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat. 8/10
仔薑田雞 Stewed Bullfrogs in Spicy Ginger Broth - $36.99
There was an unpleasant smell, likely because the bullfrogs were frozen, not fresh. The ginger flavor was barely noticeable. Not recommended. 0/10
家常豆瓣鱸魚 Whole Bass with Spicy Bean Paste Sauce - $48.99
The taste was excellent, textbook-level cooking with a mild spice level. It was very good, though a bit on the expensive side. 9/10
油渣蓮白 Wok-Fried Cabbage with Crispy Lard - $15.99
The "crispy lard" had too much meat and wasn't the usual golden color. The stir-fry didn't have enough heat, which resulted in a lack of 鑊氣 (wok hei). 4/10
蒜香辣子雞 Dry Fried Diced Chicken with Chili and Garlic - $22.99
Very good. There are two types of fried diced chicken: dry and wet. This restaurant used the dry method, frying with corn/tomato starch, which gave the dish a great texture—crispy but not hard. The flavor was well-balanced too. 9/10
回鍋肉 Double-Cooked Pork Belly with Bean Paste Sauce - $22.99
I'm not sure why they called it “Double-Cooked”—the name seemed a bit off. Normally, this dish doesn't use pork belly, but more and more restaurants, especially outside China, are opting for it. Pork belly does taste better, and the addition of garlic leaves was a nice highlight. 8/10
鐵鍋小炒肥腸 Wok-Fried Pork Intestine with Chili - $22.99
What a brilliant idea to cook pork intestine with rice cake! I'm familiar with combining two traditionally unrelated foods, but I would have never imagined pairing rice cake and intestine. It's just those two ingredients—nothing else—but the taste was amazing. The intestines were soft, and the rice cakes were soft too, but in a different way. Really good. 8/10
麻婆豆腐 Mapo Tofu (with minced beef) - $16.99
Very classic texture and flavor, with no noticeable drawbacks. However, I couldn't really taste the minced beef. 8/10
蘿蔔燉牛肋條 Beef Rib Finger & White Radish Soup - $28.99
The best dish of the night. The beef was incredibly tender and juicy, without the typical overcooked texture of long-stewed meat. 10/10
紅糖冰粉 Iced Jelly with Brown Sugar Syrup - $5.99/each
The best compliment for a dessert in Chinese cuisine is that it's not too sweet. This one definitely lives up to that standard. 8/10

Love how they label the different spicy levels! We have a large group and not everyone’s good with spicy, but they have a good amount of non-spicy options as well, like the honey glazed roasted duck, my nephew enjoyed it a lot!

It was overpriced imo it looked good but one of the noodle dishes I had was bitter for some reason. It was weird like the noodles and veggies tasted fresh but the soup had a weird aftertaste to it. It didn’t sit well with my stomach afterwards too so I don’t think I’m going to go back. Last Asian restaurant I went to had a fly in it :( now I think I’m officially traumatized. I love Asian food but I seem to always go at the wrong place wrong time. I’ll cook from home when I want Asian food until then.

Wonderful food. Tasty, but seemingly with a modern healthier preparation than most sichuan restaurants. Pricing is quite reasonable, nowhere close to $100 a person someone had put into their review(our bill was $105 for 3 with 4 dishes, tax and tip and no drinks). Would come back here again when we are in the area.

All around this is a great spot. Chengdu cuisine is the most mild of Sichuan cuisines, but you'll still get some numbing if you see out the 3 star spicy foods on their menu. Can't recommend the dan dan noodle and double cooked pork belly enough. Pictured here is the Bullfrog soup.

As a person who grew up in Chengdu, this is definitely not the taste in my impression. We ordered Szechuan spicy chicken, Pickle fillet fish, spicy wonton and garlic vegetables. Szechuan spicy chicken was overcooked and had really bad burn taste. Rest of the dishes are just ok and even below average. Service was below average for sure. We asked couple times to get ice water&napkins and that was not the busiest time of the day. This is very misleading to people who never tried Chengdu food and called it “Chengdu Impression”.

Literally turned away. The restaurant was open since 11:30 and we arrived at noon. The hostess was with her child and was wearing a sweatpant matching set and looked to be more like a customer. We asked if we could get a table and she asked if we had a reservation which we did not so she said “come back in 30 minutes and ask again we’re not open yet” we’re her exact words.
So we’re just waiting outside then we see people walking out as they must have been seated and we’re bring their to go boxes out with them so we went back in (about a half hour later) to ask for our table now that we know they’re open and she said “we’ll it will be another 30 minutes”. We saw plenty of tables and the restaurant did not look busy at all. We just left and said we’re never coming back again. Such a shame because the food is excellent but if you can’t even get past the terrible hostess then why even bother.

The restaurant is located in the prime location of Arcadia, very modernized and well decorated but the poor management and poor service will make me not to come back ever. Found 2 small stones from food no apology from anyone nor manager showed up. Server threw food on the table without explaining what it is. Received check and the credit card merchant copy upside down (really?) Food price is way more than any other similar style restaurant. They serve you with plastic cup, plate and utensils but they charge $30-40 per plate. The quality is not even close to the food price. They didn't play any music so I could hear every single words from next table. I left $0 tip and someone ran outside after me asking for tip. They clearly don't know what's wrong with them.

We used to love this restaurant so much, but there must be a change of management or they ran out of money due to pandemic, everything about this place has changed. When you ask the server why they serve in plastic cups, plates and bowls for our eating utensils, he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. We stood up and left at first but the manager decided to give us proper plates so we stayed. The female waitress was so much nicer and give good service, so I give an extra star for her. The most popular braised pork belly and the cold noodle in hot oil are no longer in the menu, that was really why I brought my friends there for. And then the food prices ain’t cheap, and the environment looks so modern and well decorated, so why serve in plastic (not environmentally friendly at all). They probably can do better with placement and service by the male waiter. Train him, boss! Thank god the food still taste authentic! Still has the Sichuan flavor. I would give five stars but the plastic table placement, our favorite food no longer on the menu, and the shoulder shrugging waiter lost two stars.

You’ll find all the classic Sichuan specialties here, tasting like you’ve been transported to Chengdu. Bold and authentic flavors, they don’t skimp in the Sichuan pepper. Favorites were the Ji Si Liang Mian (shredded chicken with cold noodles) and Suan Cai Yu (pickled vegetables with fish). They’re still serving with plastic containers though as a covid precaution I’m assuming. Also love the ambience inside and they have these big private dining rooms. Highly recommend

For those use to Cantonese food and less authentic versions of szechuan cuisine you may not like this very oily, and heavily spiced cuisine. I tried the beef soup with noodles ($12)and the spicy won tons ($6 for 4 won tons). Very heavy on use of chili oil in both cases. Both served at a temperature that is so hot you will need to wait 15 minutes to eat them. At that temperature it is difficult to taste the heavy use of spices but when it cools down the use of spices tastes heavy handed. Maybe if I was from this part of China I would like it, but it is not for me. Service and decor were fine. Parking on street at lunch was easy and free. More free parking behind the building. Honestly if I were rating only the food I would have given it 2 stars.

Authentic Chinese Restaurant with a Great Atmosphere. From the humble exterior, I didn't expect it to be a well furnished space inside. It seems like I'm entering a historical Chinese building. There are several areas that you can seat. There are private rooms for dinners with special guests.
I was surprised by the brochure that gives a historical glimpse of Chengdu. This is a great cultural touch.

This is a beautiful restaurant with great food and excellent service. The food preparation and seasoning is authentic, which is due to the restaurants roots in Chengdu, but it is also carefully prepared and nicely presented.
We ordered the Chengdu Dan Dan Mian which was especially tasty because the seasoning was so well balanced. We also ordered the Ma Po Tofu because it is one of the signature dishes. It was rich tasting and nicely spicy with the Szechuan pepper providing the tongue tingling.
The service was superior to most any other Chinese restaurant in the area, with the manager checking in with us at the end of the meal to see how we liked the food.
This restaurant is excellent in every respect.

Excellent Sichuan cuisine. The sole filet with pickled vegetables is amazing. The flavors, aromas and heat are deliciously layered, and demonstrate that Sichuan food isn’t just about face-melting spiciness. The marinated shishito peppers aren’t pretty, but are tasty. The Ma Po Tofu was really good; it didn’t blow my mind like the sole, but I couldn’t stop eating it.
