I signup to join waitlist. But I’m not told our table is ready. The young man by the name of Kevin Liu skips us and calls on the next guests. I’m thinking to myself, hold on a moment. This is a young guy that knows more tech than me not using tech to call on us. Not cool at all big guy. If it weren’t for that kind of attitude, I’d give more stars in this review.
But anyhow, Noodle St is holding its own at a solid 4.x stars here. And understandably so, their food is over 4-stars quality. I don’t feel thirsty after eating their noodle soup. In fact, I take the leftover soup home, it’s that good. They have a good selection of noodle style. Wifey likes the knife cut.
Last words about Kevin. I know if Kevin were go out with his significant other or family, and he were treated like I was, I don’t think he would like it.

The best part is watching the chefs twirl and stretch the noodles in the kitchen window. Food was good, although service could have been more organized. They do not hold back on the spicy noodle, so make sure you like a lot of chili oil. Beef roll is also a signature menu item which is flavorful and crispy with hoisin sauce inside.

I was in the Santa Anita mall and wanted to try out a new restaurant, and I found this place just right next to DTF. And I've gotta say, this place exceeded my expectations!
What I got?
Spicy beef noodle soup & Beef roll pancake special
Would I recommend?
My recommendation would be their beef roll pancake special, it was SO GOOD! It was crispy and full of flavor! What I loved the most was that they gave tons of fresh scallions and cilantros, oh my gosh it was so delicious, plus with the house sweet bean sauce! Outstanding dish! Hands down to the best beef roll in the area. As for the beef noodle soup, it's decent but probably not my favorite (yes, I'm picky about beef noodle soup) However, it's certainly a good option to try out in the mall.
Overall, it's a yummy place!

If you like your noodles spicy you need to try this place.
When we went it was very busy, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but I can assure you that however long you may need to wait it will be worth it.
Food is superbly cooked, portions are massive, service is great, waiting staff are ready to advise about dishes and take your order with a smile, which in my book goes a long way.
I recommend the braised chicken which is soft and tender and has a spicy kick.
You can even choose what type of noodles to have with your dish.

I was initially enjoying my meal, but things took a turn when I discovered that the chef had altered the recipe. To make matters worse, I found a hair in my dish. That was definitely not something I expected to find on my plate. Overall, the food was just okay, but the experience left much to be desired."

This place is low key a gem. Hand tossed Rice noodles all day. Very clean flavored broth. I like the chicken ramen. My kids love the spicy beef ramen.
You can choose from four different shapes of noodle.
Round, triangle, thick, and also flat slender.
The garlic cucumber salad is good.
They have healthy vegetarian options. Haven't tried their tofu but I think it's great judging from the other two favorite dishes.

We moved through the wait list fairly quickly for a table for 4 on Black Friday @ 6pm. Total wait time was less than 30 minutes. We were seated along the walkway between Noodle Street and DTF. I really wanted to like this place but I think I don’t like the large, open concept/layout and exposure of this restaurant. I found myself keeping an area on our personal belongings and shopping bags since we felt “exposed” and didn’t want to let our guard down. The service was quick and efficient with the servers on point to take your order and get things moving.
The soup noodles came quickly followed by the appetizers which was ok since we just wanted to fill out bellies and get out. The knife cut noodles are nice and chewy which I liked but some may think it’s undercooked since it’s not your normal springy noodle. That kind of where the good parts end. The other parts of the dish were just ok, nothing that knocked my socks off. The beef in the spicy beef noodle soup wasn’t as tender as I’d like and was slightly on the dry side except for the pieces laced with tendon. The tomato sauce ok (my friend did not finish and opted not to take the leftovers home). Without leeks and The signature beef and cilantro, the signature beef noodle soup was left colorless! You do need it!!! Appetizers - cucumber salad was crispy and refreshing but not any better than those found at other restaurants, we found the fried calamari over fried and too chewy and wasn’t dazzled by the scallion pancakes. I think if this was the only place with available seating and I was starving - I’d go back. If not, I’d pass on a return trip.

Every time we went to DTF, we walked by this place and said we should try it . Today we did and we wondered what took us so long. We ordered three kinds of soup noodles, beef rolls, and scallion pancakes. The all tasted great and well made. There is no MSG aftertaste after the meal👍 so that deserves a five star rating.

Amazing! I've never had the chance to actually eat here until today, and I was pleasantly surprised. The egg+tomato knife noodles caught my eye as egg+tomato over rice is my favorite chinese dish, and was in awe of how good it was. It was the perfect balance between savory, sour, and a little bit sweet. The knife noodles were very chewy and the dish itself was a bigger portion than I expected!
My mother had the chicken noodle soup, and she shared some with me. It was amazing as well! The white chicken broth was the perfect saltiness and was both savory and refreshing. We got the regular rice noodles with it and they were very yummy. The spinach and mushroom that were a wonderful touch as well.
We enjoyed both of our dishes and the staff were super quick, helpful and friendly. It was so fascinating to see them make noodles through the open kitchen window. Another plus was the fact that all staff were masked, which added to their great sanitary conditions. Will definitely eat here again!

The service was particularly mediocre, below average even.
Upon sitting down, four different servers came over and asked whether I was ready to order. I was NOT, and would not like to say the same thing over and over again.
The entirely Chinese staff sure doesn’t help in the already unwelcoming environment. Among the five or six employees I interacted with, only 2 knew how to say “thank you”, making themselves a laughable and much weaker competitor of Ding Tai Fung next door.
The food was surprisingly underwhelming. Not sure how I feel about the beef roll pancake that tasted bland - I frankly never had a Chinese beef pancake that’s actually good.
The savory braised chicken noodle, however, came with a quite uninteresting soup base not on par with how a regular Chinese recipe would taste. To make it worse, every single piece of chicken in the noodle was made of chicken breast, a terrible practice I never ever see at any other Chinese restaurant.
Oddly I have been to another Noodle St location that’s slightly better overall.
Needless to say, I regretted not going to Ding Tai Fung today and absolutely will not be back to this Noodle St location.

Amazing noodles. The spicy beef noodle with triangle noodles are a must have, and same with the beef sandwiches and pretty much every other noodle dish. Personally, I'd advise against the kbbq rice- it's a noodle house with authentic chinese food so it's not the same experience getting it. Kind staff too!

Quick and nice staff who all wore masks. I got the Braised chicken noodle. It has the numbing spice, not burning spice. The knife cut noodles were well made and cooked perfectly. Not enough noodles though. To add more it's $4. Chicken was tender but the potatoes were not cooked enough.

If there’s beef noodle to try, I’m there! Got their signature beef noodle. And it was a bit saltier than expected. The flavor is there though! The noodles absorbed the saltiness so it’s not just bland noodles. Their meat was tender. I got a few pieces of radish, it’s super thin. My friends bowl did not have any radish. Your food will come out within 15 minutes so it’s pretty quick! This spot is upstairs across from dintai. Don’t come after 12, their line will start forming. I want to come back and try their spicy beef noodle soup.

Quick Summary
My favorite beef noodle soup shop in the area. It's like a slightly more upscale 101 noodle express, with slightly better quality food and service. You'll be paying slightly more, but at least they take credit cards and RSVPs on their waitlist on Yelp. They also offer outdoor dining after 11:45am, since the indoor reopening
Food- 5 stars
We ordered the signature beef noodle, spicy beef noodle, and beef roll pancakes. They make fresh noodles on the spot here and you get to decide which texture (I'm a fan of their knife cut). The spicy beef noodle is good and not spicy at all (coming from someone who is non-tolerant to spicy food). I would recommend the signature beef noodle and beef roll pancakes. Broth was delicious, beef was sliced thin so it melted in your mouth, and the noodles were great.
Service- 4 stars
Good service without being overbearing as well.
Parking
There's plenty of mall parking.
Bottom Line
My go-to beef noodle soup spot! Will be coming back whenever getting the beef noodle craving

The love the Chinese have for noodles is perhaps only rivalled by the Italian’s love for pizza. There must be at least 100’s of different varieties of noodles in China catering to different regions throughout the country. In Beijing alone, there are so many different kinds of noodle dishes in the city, from the traditional Beijing noodles with soy bean paste to braised noodles with cowpea, to the scallion noodles from southern China, and ramen from Japan.
Here at Noodle St. in Arcadia, you can sample some of those norther region noodles made with hand pulled. This restaurant mimics the Beijing street food noodles. You can order from four different types of in House made noodles including hand pulled regular round noodle, flat noodle, knife cut noodle and triangle noodles.
To go with the noodles, you can choose different toppings. The special beef round noodle is everyone’s favorite. The beef is tender and flavorful and the broth tasted amazing.
I love their knife cut noodles with egg and tomato. When I was on assignment working in Beijing, I would have one bowl of this kind of noodle at least twice a week at the food court in our office building, just didn’t seemed to have enough of them.
Other items like scallion pancake, beef rolls, and lamb skewers are excellent.
The service is amazing here. Our server kept coming back to our table to make sure our needs were all taking care of. They were very friendly.
Highly recommend this place. If you don’t want to wait in a long line next door at Din Tai Fung, you can definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Such delicious east Asian cuisine. I got the cold noodles, beef Noodle soup, Koren BBQ with rice, and beef pancakes. All of them were all so delicious and tasty in their own way. All of their dishes are really great for sharing among family and friends. Another major perk is that they serve HALAL meat!!! I was so impressed with that factor. Overall a 10/10. I also tried their passion fruit tea, and that was sooo refreshing and perfectly sweet. There are even little passion fruit pieces at the bottom and they add the perfect effect.

Beef noodles, glass noodles, beef pancake were all delicious. I’ve had these noodles in several cities in northwestern China and the Noodle Street taste and texture is authentic. Had a conversation with the owners who are experienced restauranteurs - having owned and operated tens of similar restaurants in several cities in China. We got some items to go too and their takeout packaging was durable and food tasty as carry out.
