Fresh ingredients but the rolls were soggy, too saucy, and falling apart. Edamame was overcooked and not seasoned well. Service also needs improvement -- our water cups were often empty and plates were not proactively cleared despite the limited counter space we had.

Came here with high hopes and was not disappointed. Had to ask for the omakase since it was not on the menu. There's the 100$ level and the boss level for 150$. I honestly dont know what the difference was even though the very nice wait staff tried to explain it to me. It was just a bunch of japanese words lol. Anyhow I went yolo and got the boss level and it was the best 150 i spent that day. Every dish was mostly perfect except for the dessert. They need to up their dessert game.

Tried this place for our anniversary and it was quite lovely! The parking lot is small but there's neighborhood parking so it wasn't an issue. It's a cozy restaurant with some counter seats and tables. The waitress was very attentive.
The water tasted a little funny and some of the dishes were extremely salty. Other than that we had a pleasant night.

It's 100% worth the wait for a table! The Akami roll is soooo delicious. We also enjoyed the Blossom and White Dragon roll (we don't do spicy).

Had the Chirashi Bowl and Akami Roll. Both very delicious! Would definitely get again. The place has a hole in the wall vibe that you wouldn't expect in this area. And with limited parking and a small venue, it will quickly become an intimate space.

So we normally have our regular sushi spots. Saw this place with a 4.9 rating and decided to dine here. I guess the place is relatively new. Not much parking in front. It's a small parking lot. There is plenty of parking in the back. Walking in I was really impressed. The place has a nice and welcoming vibe. We really liked the decor. It's really simple but not too overwhelming. The staff are super nice and really attentive. Also they are super knowledgeable about the menu. They were really sweet to our 9 month old daughter which was nice. To be honest you really do get what you pay for. Every piece of sushi was immaculate and high quality fish. I've been to a lot of sushi places and this one has to be the best one so far by a long shot. With the atmosphere/vibe, paired with amazing chefs and waitresses plus the high quality sushi this place is by far my favorite sushi restaurant. I'm definitely coming back here. Just have to save up a bit since it is a bit pricey but you really get the amazing quality food and service. Not to mention the alcohol selection is too notch as well. For beer I recommend the Echigo rice beer. For sake we got the koshi no kanbai tokusen sake which was really smooth with a nice fragrant finish. All in all of give this place a 10 of 10. Definitely a place to go if you really do enjoy high quality sushi and amazing service

It's not like Mako Sushi, which used to be at this location. What was the very best sushi is now small portions, nowhere near the same quality, and overall disappointing. The remodel is nice, and I wouldn't flinch at the prices if it was good. I've been going there for over 30 years, and this made me sad.

Restaurant has limited seating, but the staff was very attentive once we were seated. Order from the menu set, premium sashimi, and black cod. The cost was a little high however, dishes are very well portion. There is a small parking lot but there you can easily park along the side street if the parking lot is full.

New Japanese fusion restaurant serving innovative sushi dishes. I ordered Omakase for my first visit. You could use online waiting list.

They served an octopus slice, jellyfish with vinegar, fish livers, and fish eggs as appetizers (refer to picture). Following the appetizers, they served snapper with olive oil as a starter. This dish was not very impressive due to its overly tart flavor, which overshadowed the freshness and was a bit too strong before the main sushi dishes

Total of eight pieces of sushi, each with sauce and garnish. The sushi rice was too mushy and sticky, which was a huge disappointment. I was expecting tuna toro, but they don't serve tuna toro with Omakase. They did serve tuna sushi, but it wasn't fatty enough and was quite tedious. The scallop with sea urchin sushi was the only dish I liked from their sushi offerings.

Pasta with Uni (sea Urchin) and fish egg is very flavorful but portion size is quite small. Dessert is ice cream and the ice cream is a great ending.

The service was fine. They were very busy, and my tea cup was always empty. I will try to order their sushi lunch box but not Omakase.

Ordered the premium sashimi platter and premium sushi platter for takeout. Roughly $52 each. Staff were professional and one of the chefs came out to greet me as I was picking up. The sushi quality is excellent and delicious. Uni did not have any fishy or smelly taste which is a great indicator of freshness. I think this is a great up and coming Japanese restaurant worth the visit. Will be coming back here often.

Super cute, super clean, super friendly, super delicious!!

Went on a Friday night around 6:30pm. They have a waitlist you can join, so the wait wasn't too long. The place is small, so I would suggest to get there early.

We ordered a bunch of things to share. Their black cod entree is amazing. Stand out specialty roll was the lemon roll. Everything we had was fresh. My favorite is the hotate (scallop) sushi. It was perfect.

We asked our server for some sake recommendations and she didn't have any, but had another server come over to help us and he was amazing. Ask for Logan if you're looking for a good sake to complement your meal.

Great addition to the neighborhood and highly recommended!

This was the old Mako Sushi. The only thing they have in common now is the parking lot.

Came here for lunch and ordered a premium sushi and sashimi lunch set. Both had great variety, quality, freshness and presentation. It’s delightful to have a classically Japanese trained sushi restaurant in the neighborhood.

The price vs quality / ambiance is great. The service was attentive and fast. And the interior has a soft tone which is really welcoming.

If I were to nitpick, the sushi rice is a bit on the softer side for me. I’d recommend to make it less mushy.

I hope you guys do well because I’m definitely coming back and would recommend to my friends and family.

Tonight's dinner at Arcadia's newest restaurant was a clear indication of its growing popularity. The sushi was exceptional, and the soft shell crab and salmon collar were equally impressive. The crispy rice dish provided just the right amount of heat, making it the perfect finale. With delicious food and attentive service, this spot comes highly recommended!
