All the sushi was super fresh while the appetizers were deliciously cooked. They definitely didn’t skimp out on the alcohol for the cocktails.

The waitress there so sweet and nice! The rest of the staff was welcoming.

Vibes there were chill and casual. Enjoyed my time there.

Let’s just say I can’t wait to come back!!

Their seafood is filled with freshness and quality. Had Kobe beef and I was shook at the way it melted in my mouth with so much flavor. Their uni is soooo buttery, rich, sweet & creamy, I had it with Kumamoto oysters and scallops topped with caviar, 10/10 recommend! Drinks were made with love! Passion fruit highball was my favorite, was not overly sweet with the perfect amount of some crisp. Theres enough seating & free parking. Loved that they were playing sports so come watch your favorite team and enjoy one of the freshest quality seafood in your area!! Our server was very welcoming and was informative about every drink & entree.

As a first timer to some of these entrees I am highly impressed and will definitely come back.. SOON :)

Wow!! I gotta say I was mindblown after trying their fresh seafood options!! There is a reason why this awesome spot has been in Arcadia for 12years. I wish I had visited this place sooner, but luckily I was finally able to try this after my coworkers invited me for a dinner gathering here :) I gotta say the presentation, taste, and quality were top notch. Also, dont underestimate their cocktails just because they look pretty because the drinks are strong. Here are the list of what we ate:

Cocktails
* Yuzu Margarita - blue
* Michelada - red
* Passion Fruit Highball - orange
* Opus Mojito- green
* Old Fashion -red

Dishes
* Deluxe Mix Sashimi Set
* Negi Toro Bowl
* Bluefin Toro & Tuna Bowl
* Mixed Tempura
* Uni Pasta
* Kobe Beef Tongue
* Uni Scallop
* Kumamoto Oyster
* Kumamoto Oyster with Uni & Ikura
* Uni Scallop Amaebi Bowl
* Rainbow Roll

I was really surprised to find that they serve Kobe Beef Tongue on the menu. It was definitely rare to find Kobe Beef outside of Japan and the meat definitely melted in my mouth! The service was definitely quick even though they were busy during dinner rush. The ambiance was lively and there were plenty of seats available in the restaurant. I will definitely return for more sushi time soon!

Opus Sushi has been serving guests for 12 years with its incredible food and warm, friendly service. This family-owned gem may look casual from the outside, but don’t let that fool you—inside, they’re dishing out some fantastic dishes and cocktails.

The service is genuinely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is relaxed, making it a nice spot for a casual night out.

The sashimi here is premium fish and so beautifully presented. I started with the Kumamoto Oysters, which were sweet, mildly briny, and incredibly creamy with a hint of nuttiness.

The Toro Bowl featured rich, buttery tuna that melted in my mouth. I also tried the Oyster with Uni and Caviar, and whoa - what a luxurious combo. The briny, creamy richness was fab. The Mixed Tempura with a perfectly crisp exterior provided a nice crunch with every bite of shrimp and veggies.

Uni Pasta was a revelation—creamy, savory, and slightly sweet, it left me wishing I could eat it every day. The Rainbow Roll was a pretty feast for both my eyes and the palate, with its colorful array of sashimi over a California roll.

I was uncertain and uncomfortable about trying the Grilled Kobe Beef Tongue, but it was surprisingly tender and rich, especially delicious with the mustardy sauce and I’m still shocked that I enjoyed it!

To wash it all down, I enjoyed a selection of cocktails. The Yuzu Martini was refreshing with its crisp, bright citrus notes, while the my friend’s Michelada offered a savory tang with just the right amount of spice. The Passionfruit Hi-Ball was bubbly and tropical, and the Mojito was zesty and minty. For something classic, the Old Fashioned was smooth yet bold, with a hint of warmth. This was a bit too strong for me especially being my first time trying it.

If you haven’t been yet, you’ll wonder why you didn’t come in sooner! I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu.

One of my favorite local sushi spots with the fresh high quality fish! It may seem like a hole in the wall, but it’s a cute restaurant and bar inside.

I recently just went back for a sushi night with the girls & I realized they also have really nice cocktails at the bar too! I had a yuzu martini that was refreshing in this heat wave.

You can’t go wrong with the sashimi here whether its abalone, white fish, chirashi, to otoro. There’s no fishiness at all, it’s pure clean and delicious taste. In fact, the otoro here tastes like sweet butter and reminds me of ice cream. The chirashi bowl here is one of my favorites, and their carpaccios are must try’s from salmon to yellowtail we had to get it all.

Service here is always amazing with really sweet sushi chefs & attentive wait staff as well. Highly recommend visiting again & again!

We were in the SGV area and were able to try Opus Sushi for dinner. Their sushi and seafood were so fresh... it literally melted in our mouths. The restaurant was pretty spacious, but they also offer bar seating as well where you can watch the sushi chef do their magic. The staff were also pretty friendly - for our experience, they were very attentive. They also gave great recommendations - from soft shelled crabs to fresh cut toro - it was all delicious. The sashimi were cut and prepared so well. It was probably our favorite out of everything. They also offer a nice selection of drinks! We got a few cocktails which all tasted great. They're also offering a happy hour where you can buy 2 cocktails and beers and get one free... so definitely take advantage of that if you go in a group!

What is also very unique about this restaurant is that the daily special will always vary, as it depends on the ingredients that arrive that day. That's how you know it's fresh. The sushi chefs were very friendly as well. This restaurant also has a parking lot so you don't have to worry too much about parking. Overall, we can't wait to come back next time we're in the area!

Had an incredible dining experience here! The sashimi was super fresh and absolutely top-notch, with the sweet ebi being my favorite. I also tried beef tongue for the first time. It was cooked to perfection, super tender and bursting with flavor. Oh and don't get me started on the fresh oyster. I've never liked oysters but these.. AMAZING! Slightly briny, savory and earthy and so fireee. They also got some pretty decent drinks (CAUTION: they were unexpectedly strong) and the servers were nice as well.

If you want a big seafood and sushi experience with great drinks and food made with precision, this is the place to be. The portions are huge. They make the customers feel like royalty. They have special alcohol imported with good taste. The atmosphere is super chill. The sushi chefs are great. Each dish was a burst of flavor. There was a big tuna head on the counter, meaning they make their tuna fresh. They make their shrimps fresh also. They were still moving when eating. It doesn’t get any fresher than that. The kobe beef was thee best ive taste so far. The presentation of the good was beautiful. The scallop with uni caviar was so good, it was well prepared. For sure coming back. The manager was very helpful on helping us pick what were the best picks on the menu. This place was amazing. This place is perfect for big groups and always intimate dates.
They have Happy Hour in August. Buy two cocktails and beers and get one free.
There is also a Today Special at the Opus Sushi is variable and is determined by the ingredients arriving on the day. You can enjoy different food from day to day, such as hairy crabs.

Food is good. However, servers are extremely rude. They ignored us every time when we called them. We told them no wasabi in sushi. But they still added wasabi in it. So i didn’t give any tip at the end, It really made me unhappy.
We were chased by a waiter when we leaving, to give them tips. and I said no cuz I didn’t get a good service. That guy said you need to, because it’s America. Then I denied him again. And he threatened us: “if you don’t give tips, don’t come here next time. I have right to reject you.”
His disrespect really pissed me off, and I came back the restaurant to find their manager, but there’s actually no manager in this restaurant. That’s why waiters are rude there , cuz no one supervises.

I came to eat sushi and left with food poisoning… seems like the quality is declining but we ordered the house salad, edamame, hirame, mixed sashimi, blue fin toro roll and the hamachi, and as soon as I got home, my stomach started to hurt I got really bad cramps, and started to throw up. It was a rough night of food poisoning and throwing up and food coming out of both ends. One other person in the group didn’t feel well and their stomach hit as soon as we left as well. Just avoid this place if you don’t wanna spend hours in the bathroom dry heaving

Pleasant surprise! Hadn't expected to come here, but here we were. Clean, modern, nice ambience. Helpful service. We ordered the Chirashi bowl, a deluxe Chirashi bowl, and an unagi bowl. Chirashi bowls had very good quality fish. My wife was impressed with the sushi rice that wasn't overpowering with vinegar. Our grandson's unagi bowl came with soup, salad, mixed tempura, and two large eel filets. A huge meal, much of which got taken home. Hidden gem!

The Worst services among all Japanese restaurants in la area. Well, this place does not run by Japanese owner, so no one train the waiters to be gentle and polite to respond customer’s question.

Food and price are both average, 4 adult spends almost $300 without beverages. Their service ruins the entire dinner, none of my friends are happy to walk out the place.

Not recommended, and do Not trust those comments on 小红书.

Seafood are Fresh and price is $$ acceptable.
But when I ordered lamb, sometime the meat came out in pieces, quality like the kind a butcher with throwaway. They turned into tinny pieces when I put them inside the hot pot. It happened again, and the lamb meat became so fat, I complained to the male server, he said ,” you complained about it last time.”

Wow! Interesting. When the quality is declining, as a longtime customer for years supporting the restaurant, of course I can see the difference! This is unsettling.

Then I replaced it to Salmon , the cut are thinner and thinner.
I should have took pictures so everyone can see the difference.

One of the ways to determine quality of sushi restaurant is by the quality of the sushi rice. Ordered deluxe lunch chirashi, which was served over hard, tasteless rice. The quality of the fish was average. Also ordered a shrimp tempura handroll which came out full of imitation crab with a tiny sliver of a shrimp. Even the Edamame was too soft and overdone

I have been going to this plaza for so long but I have never went in to try this place. The place has pretty fresh Oysters and Sashimi! I went here to attend a family members 100 Days, we were able to have a little area towards to back next to their bar. I havent really had multiple courses brought out in a Japanese restaurant, but everything that came out was on a timely matter, and was great!

Food
The food was set like I mentioned so I wont be able to have a name for the dishes, but try to describe some of them. We started off with Oysters that had 3 different kinds on plate with ice. I haven’t had oysters in a while, they were so fresh. We had a tofu salad with house dressing that was pretty tasty, then Sashimi plate with tuna, yellowtail and I believe red snapper. Most interesting one was the daikon or radish with uni on top and salmon roe with crab bits. Visually appealing and pretty good! Sweet Salmon, toro was great with the real wasabi on top, and finishing off the course with a miso cod ( I think) and a clam miso soup. Clams were plump and soup was great to finish off the courses with someone hot.

Place actually was quite large, you wouldnt think there could be that many people being seated judged by the parking. By the way if you want to park here, I believe it is one of the toughest places to find parking. Either or we had a great experience and would definitely stop by again if we were in the area. Until next time!

I have said before I don't give five stars unless they truly deserve it. Anything less would be a disservice. The sushi here is top notch. Of course very little of it is fresh, the fish is aged to perfection. Of the two things I enjoyed that were fresh, was the shrimp that was live when I got there and and salmon roe. The roe was the best I have ever had. The shrimp was good but not properly cooked as it was a tad rubbery. I know how hard it is to get exact so they didn't lose any points for it.
The salmon had been aged just right, I like at least ten days as I do the tuna. Both were perfect.
I really wasn't expecting that much being in small strip mall with most of the parking spots labeled 30 minute parking only. I paid that no mind as it is illegal to tow a car that hasn't been over parked for at least an hour. If they issued a paper ticket it would have been just that, a piece of paper that they would have no recourse at all. What that is about is a bunch of sour grapes shop owners that are envious of the few businesses that do well. A strip mall is just that, there is no reserved parking, if an owner gives you flack tell them to go pound sand. BTW, nobody will tow your car as nobody has the authority to do so. If you leave a car over night or for days it could happen but really do you think the landlord wants to make enemies and his lessors to lose business for ever? Not.
Sure I have had better sushi, i just can't recall when. It is pricey I spent $60 for two and could have eaten double what I ordered. Next time I may let the chefs decide and go with that option. I have read about it and I'd say that would be a good way to go or just get a sashimi plate. Be advised, one can spend over $37 for a sushi lunch "special". What ever is special about it, it is not the price.
BTW, why do you have to join facebook to see your website? Grow up.

The Omakase for couple was fantastic because it's rare to find lobster sashimi. That alone is worth the ticket and everything was fluff. The first course is the fish sperm that I could skip. The carpaccio of death was the second course. Don't let them serve that. It tasted like death. Went back another day for a nigiri session. They were all pretty decent. Due to the location the price is higher than other joints in Little Tokyo. Some fusion dishes were pleasant to the taste buds. Definitely not the best sushi I have had but this close to home, sometimes this place is a quick fix when I'm looking for some quality. Definitely choose the omakase if you're going.

Authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. Deciduous sushi rolls. My favorite is the salmon fish and California roll. Got to be back and enjoy the food again. Bet Sushi and Japanese in Arcadia, highly recommended.

Best lunch sushi deal around town for sure! Staff usually are bilingual, in Mandarin that is. Their fish is always great, and the sweet shrimp and uni are top notch as well if they have it. Try out the grilled bass if sushi is not your thing.

Excellent dining experience. We had the omakase and everything was high quality. Service was also great. Would definitely recommend here for sushi if you’re in the area. Keep in mind that parking is terrible and most likely you’ll have to park on the street.

Best Japanese food in the area that I've had; hands down. The sushi and seafood is always fresh. Be sure to try the omakase if you want your world to be rocked.

Fine quality sushi. A was a bit disappointed by the sweet shrimp as its temperature was too cold.
