The beef wrap I was told it was a popular one. Honestly tasted like a carne asada burrito. When I asked for some hot sauce I was told it was 75 cents extra. I mean you kiddding me!! Spent 35 dlls and we can’t even get some hot sauce per wrap!! That’s lame. All the other places give that. Just letting everyone know

Had a beef kebab menu it said that it comes with a sauce I ordered garlic. They charge me an extra $.75 they didn’t give me an extra sauce whatever I don’t really care but food was mediocre. Meat was almost microwaved. It was steamy not sure if it was grilled or not, the garlic sauce was over salted and gave me a headache, almost almost immediately also stomach cramping

My wife and I had lunch on 3/26/23. This is a summary of our experience:

The good: Parking is ample and easy to find.

The bad: Small restaurant with about 6 small tables. Place is tiny and feels crowded even at 60% capacity.

The ugly: We ordered and waited about 35 minutes for our food. Restaurant was about 75% capacity and had two food preparers, so we did not understand why it took so long. I had lamb chops, and the wife had chicken, but the lamb chops were overcooked.

Taste was somehow authentic, and on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, I rate it a 5. Quality of meat was also a 5, and portions were a 7.

Final thoughts:

If you are looking for a place with cheap prices and ok quality, this is it. Their quality took dive, and I do not recommend this place.

NOT THE SAME!
I'm not sure if ownership or management changed but Kabab Crush is not the same Kabab Crush I have been going to with my family for years.

Portions got stingier, rice is dry, meat is dry and salty. Only things that remain similar are the sides like hummus and salad. Their red and green hot sauces are salty and not as tasty as before.

Will not be coming back.

Tried this spot for the first time for dinner. It was around 6pm on a Tuesday and arrived before it got busy. You place your order at the counter and once ready they call your number if you're wanting to dine in. So there is no table service here. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was very flavorful. It comes in a to go box and they serve generous portions. Definitely coming back again.

This. Restaurant. Is. So. Good.

I always order their hummus with meat and get it with chicken. Their hummus is perfectly flavored and has a wonderful creamy texture to it. It’s the best hummus I’ve ever had anywhere. If you order one item from here, let it be their hummus. The pita bread is excellent and it has recently become difficult for me to tell them to exclude it from my order because I am now avoiding gluten. Love the creamy garlic sauce which is given to you on the side. The hummus with meat dish automatically comes with a side of rice and you can choose another side. I always order it with double rice. A great tasting rice with thin slivers of meat. Their portions are huge and I can make 2 or 3 meals out of it. Per their Yelp page, their cuisine is a Bethlehem style of cooking.

Customer service is okay and friendlier on other days but will give 5 stars for food which can stand on its own.

Will be back again soon.

First visit, and maybe the last. Was excited to find a place like this, but the excitement wore off pretty quickly when I arrived. Was greeted by the gal at the counter, but I think saying ‘hello’ took all her energy.

I ordered the chicken shawarma entree with hummus and a Med salad. I waited about 25 minutes for my order. I understand the food is made to order, but shawarma is already prepared, so not sure why the wait. There wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant. I waited for my order inside, but it was loud, stuffy, and warm. There was music playing in the dining area for ambiance, but the kitchen crew had music playing that was even louder. I was glad to see a patio was available as I needed the fresh air and quiet (yes, Gridley was quieter than inside the restaurant).

The food: hummus was okay; salad started out good, but the closer I got to the bottom, it got soggy and salty from sitting in a pool of dressing. The rice tasted oily, but balanced out the chicken, which tasted try and crusty. The pita seemed authentic. The meal was a really generous portion (it was $13), so I have enough leftover for a second meal, but I’m not sure I want to eat it again… tomorrow is another day so we’ll see.

I ordered online on their website for pickup on a Sunday lunch hour. The meal was ready 45 minutes from the point of order and had to wait when I arrived 15 minutes after. May had to do with other online and outdoor dining orders in the queue, and it was on a weekend lunch rush hour. Plenty of parking space and a tea/boba shop in the same plaza.

I ordered a large chicken kabab combo plate ($18.99) that was enough food for two person minimum. Went with rice, garlic sauce, and hummus and tabouleh (Levantine vegetarian salad) for my two sides. The combo also came with one large-sized pita bread that went well with the meal. No surprise with the tastes other than the dish was a bit salty for my taste, something I constantly experienced with each bite. The garlic sauce was good and wanted. A tiny sample of the turshi (pickled vegetables) was added but could've used more for the price.

Nice to have Kabab Crush in Artesia when you're craving some Middle Eastern cuisine.
