Amanda took care of myself and the wife as she was very pleasant and informative. I couldn't ask for more.
Jesus the chef, whatever he has happening in his kitchen will definitely have me returning.
Emi the cook executed my medium rare very well. I loved the dish so much that
If it weren't bad taste I would have licked the gravy off my plate in that restaurant.
I was very impressed with their butternut squash ravioli with mushroom cream sauce that the wife ordered. All around it was great at Aldolino Italian Restaurant. Thank you for dinner.

Come here for the food and nothing else. We got the Pizza Rustica and Pasta Della Casa and both were phenomenal, I would've expected to pay more for how delicious it was!! The only real issues are that 1) the location is highly unassuming. It's located in a small center and you wouldn't expect this place to have such high-quality tasting food. 2) the service is slow. We saw maybe 2 servers handling the whole restaurant which I understand and we accepted it. It took some time to even get the bread to the table, but the bread was super good, too! It's specially seasoned and baked. For a nice hole-in-the-wall find this is it. despite the other points made, I gave it 5 stars cause the food deserves this place to be visited. Hopefully they find a bigger spot to move to with an ambiance that matches the food quality.

Such a diamond in the rough!

Please don’t let the shabby strip mall fool you! Once you enter the restaurant, you will be transported to a beautifully lit, fine dining restaurant, at a fraction of the cost. Our server was perfectly attentive, the ambiance was superb, the food was impeccable, and the owner, Gabriel, was warm and welcoming. And the coffee is amazing!

I will definitely be returning soon!

Truthfully, we looked at the menu and left. The prices are inflated, definitely not the Aldolino's we used to enjoy. We went there at noon, for lunch, but they don't have a lunch menu. The menu has numerous fancy dishes, but we were looking for some basic Italian food. At lunch, we don't really want a large meal. It would have been nice if they had a mini pizza and small salad lunch. We noticed that the menu was missing cheese ravioli, cannelloni, manicotti, and gnocchi. I imagine the food is good, but not what we wanted. FYI, the place was practically empty, so we're not alone.

Had a spectacular time! Food was delicious. Pizza, Lasagna, shrimp and pasta just a delight. Not to mention the dessert. Omg, a cheesecake which melted in your mouth. Also, a lemon drop martini which actually tasted like a 🍋 lemon drop!!! Atmosphere was elegant, romantic yet playful with laughter and fun. You can go with a date or hang out after work with the girls, just a spectacular place.

I came her with my wife and daughter saw the area decided to pull the trigger knowing the area and hoped for the best.
Came in to a completely empty restaurant minus maybe two tables. Ordered two drinks a appetizer for my daughter and myself and expressed to push her mozzarella sticks first because you know how kids are.
Daughter ordered chocolate milk. There was solid floating white pieces when my wife opened the cup. Wife ended up sending the drink back for a apple juice. Waiter expressed that the milk was still good but I didn't want to argue about the solid floating chunks in it so exchanged it for a applejuice.
30 Minutes later my daughters meal and appetizer and mine came at the same time. This perfect because that's how I ordered it. Only my wifes drink came. I'm still waiting on my Old Fashioned.
The bruschetta was amazing. Got to give credit where its due.
My wifes drink was a botanical madhouse. She couldn't even drink it due to the amount of mint in the cup. The fact that they served this should make you cringe.
40 minutes now still waiting on the old fashioned and finally my wife asked where it was. 5 minutes later the drink came. The Old Fashioned they gave me was by far the worst. The drink was not stirred. Had no bitters. Just made to look good but had zero skill involved in it.
The entrée Pollo alla Vodka Was great. Spinach was cooked amazing and potatoes were perfect chicken and sauce was to die for.
The Chicken Parmesan was overcooked. Wife had nothing but complaints for it.
Spend another 50 - 60 bucks and go to a place where you pay for what you get. Do not spend this much here on food and drink. You are wasting your money.
I Feel so bad for whomever is the chef here because you could do so much better with a better team in a better restaurant.

Great Italian restaurant gem hidden in a little nondescript shopping center.
First time there, recommended by a friend.
Arrived Sat 4/2/22 at 4:30pm, greeted warmly, by Amanda and was seated quickly. It's a small, restaurant but very clean,, comfortable with a warm atmosphere and nice decor.
Service was great, Amanda knew the specials and menu very well telling us that the pasta is fresh and hand made daily.

Chicken breast, Vodka flamed tri-colored belle peppers, red onions, tomatoes, served with garlic mashed potatoes and spinach

Aldo’s Supreme Di Pollo
Chicken breast wrapped with herbs, prosciutto, fontina cheese, served with garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli and puttanesca sauce

Banana Gelato with chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
The food was served quickly, hot, with warm/sliced, herb topped bread and everything tasted very delicious.
I'm glad we arrived early, as suggested by my friend, because within 30 minutes all seating was filled and more people were arriving. I'd recommend a reservation.
Highly recommended and I'll definitely be going back for some pasta or pizza or both. Look out for my next review!

Nice little restaurant with a big restaurant vibe. I ordered the Lasagna with garlic bread. Somehow, they included and charged me for Garlic Bread with cheese too.

The lasagne was a bit too buttery-garlicky for me. A bit high on the salt taste for me as well. I give that dish 3 Stars.

Update: 12/09/2018
I returned and ordered the fettuccini with chicken and omg! The sauce was so tasty! This dish hit a BIG home run with me!

In ordered it for take-out. Whatever they tell you the wait is, add 5-10 additional minutes when you arrive. I guess they have to toast the garilc bread for you when you arrive so you can have it fresh and warm.

It’s a pleasant atmosphere and the hostess was amazingly friendly and courteous. This was my 2nd time eating from here so I always give restaurants a chance to get a five star rating. And boy, did they ever with that fettuccine dish!

Asked the server for more bread waited for 15 minutes no bread. Saw bread on the counter and they said it was for someone else. Not good hospitality. My food was very spicy. They did not tell me it was going to be spicy.

Wow! What an absolute gem of a restaurant! We went to Aldolino's last night with some friends and if I were going to judge it based on its nondescript location in a rundown strip mall I wouldn't have expected much. But boy was I wrong. We were greeted with a friendly smile at the front door and led to our table. Our waitress Sarah could not have been more friendly and helpful. She let us know all of the specials with each one sounding better than the last. As well as recommending a wonderful Chianti. Cocktails were great. The food was phenomenal! Starting with the fresh complimentary bread and butter. The bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had and all of our meals were amazing. If you like spice to your sauce they will spice it up for you and they give you a level of 1 to 10. Just a really great experience and we will definitely be back. I would consider this some of the best Italian I've ever had. Very authentic.

I was really excited about eating here. I recently purchased food to go and was good, so I invited my friends to meet for lunch. What a mistake 🥹 I am unsure if the server was in a bad mood, or if we somehow upset him. My friend ordered a salad and asked NO onions, extra pecans. The salad arrived & had tons of onions. My other friend said she'd take the salad, and just make a new one for my friend with allergies. The 2nd salad arrived & was half the size of the 1st one. The entire time server seemed mad. We only wanted what was originally ordered. I ordered several different items & they were good. Sadly my daughter's chicken didn't seem fully cooked. It was hard and looked pink in the center. I didn't bother telling the server anything because his attitude made him very unapproachable. What an awful feeling and experience. You pay all this money to get bad service and bad food. 😣 it's really unfortunate because I initially liked it alot, but I think now that was just luck. The experience is part of eating out. I should have suggested elsewhere

Sat fir 45 minutes with my 10 year old son. We had to ask for bread. The food never came out. We left after waiting an hour. The stupid restaurant was empty, only one other table was occupied. I will never go here again!!

Staff and our server were extremely nice and attentive. The food tasted quite good as well.

However, when eating our lasagna, we saw a large piece of cardboard/plastic embedded in the lasagna. Looks like they might have taken a frozen lasagna and didn't remove part of the box, which then was served to us. They at least helped serve us up with a new lasagna that did not have that issue.

My 1st time there was 2019 and the service was bad and the food ok. Reluctantly I went there on a very special occasion dinner and history repeats itself but worse. Service was horrible and food not worth the 1.5 hour wait. No apologies from management and I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. Two of worse restaurant experiences twice in one place.

Who would have thought that there was a delicious, Italian and small business owned in the city of Azusa. It is not at all what I expected when driving up in the shopping center. However, when I entered it was a very nice place, contrary to the outside. The service was very good and the food was quite honestly soo delicious! Received a gift card from here and we went to give it a try and now it is one of my favorite Italian places to eat! Decided to try them out for our baby shower we had and they did not disappoint. Since the ordering and paying the owner was so nice and professional and gave us his best tips. Day of event they arrived on time and food done right and amazing. 5 stars all the way, in every aspect!

Accepted my GrubHub order for pickup with a 40 minute wait time. When I got there they told me that they don't check their GrubHub orders because GrubHub owes them money. When I asked why they don't remove their restaurant from GrubHub they told me they couldn't figure it out and offered to make my order, but they would charge me again and make me wait again.

We’ve been coming to Aldolinos for probably 30 years. It all started when I was a PTA president of my kids elementary school and this is where they always went to get pizza for the Family nights at school!
Imagine our surprise when we began eating there and found it to be some of the best food on the planet!
Gabe is amazing; always welcoming and his staff is amazing. The food is always incredible and delicious. You always feel welcome here and it’s just always a good all-around experience.
I will say that you need to not be in a hurry - which is what one expects when you are eating delicious gourmet food!!!

This place is top notch. From the outside I was a little concerned, but the food and the service was incredible. We had 10 people and all 10 of us gave the food and service a 10 of 10 rating. The calamari was done perfectly and the bruschetta is some of the best around. Thank you for a great experience. This just goes to show you that you can’t judge a book by its cover.

I prefer salty over sweet any day of the week but more on this later.

Ordered some takeout, Lasagna and Seafood pasta, rather simple items and a staple for most people.

Seafood pasta was decent, good amount of sauce to seafood ratio.

Lasegna was another story altogether. It was beyond salty like someone intentionally spilled some on there. Had 2 small bites and then threw it away.

Not sure how anyone would let a salty plate of food leave their kitchen is beyond me.

Recommend avoiding the lasagna or this place altogether.

Service has been going down hill the past few years. They used to be enthusiastic when you order. Now it is a drag to take your order. They didnt even know the menu details our last order. We ordered chicken marsala, which comes with pasta. We got home and found out they put it over mashed potatoes.. We called, they put us on hold, came back a few mins later and said the manager said to come back and they will give you pasta... No apology, just drive 20 minutes back to our restaurant so we can make you wait while you inconvenience us and ask us to make you the food as we described it on our menu. Needless to say we won't be coming back.

Bad service the food was nasty I had the chicken Alfredo and this place didn’t even add chicken to my pasta and the pasta was just plain no flavor rude customer service please don’t go here the food isn’t worth the price ! Don’t waste your money ! Never will come here !

Was excited to go to their happy hour which according to their website states, "Tuesday through Thursday 3PM to 7PM, Friday 2PM to 5PM". I called to confirm since this is COVID and many websites are outdated. Luckily, they confirmed! We showed up hungry but stood at the doorway unacknowledged for about 5 minutes until someone finally greeted us. That was strange because there were few patrons and plenty of servers who made eye contact with us. We got seated only to find out that happy hour actually only goes until 6pm. Sadly, we left hungry and disappointed.

The boss turned up the TV so loud we couldn’t hear each other. The cooking took forever to come out. I can’t believe how many things they messed up on and we couldn’t even see the boss. No excuse bc we made a reservation too

I been going to Aldolino's for 30 years, even though it has changed owners over the years , one thing is the same , good food always , it says a lot about the people that run it , currently ,Gabriel , the current owner , is one of the most personable of host ,always with a smile , a greeting , just a kind guy, he always has a story to tell, I think he talks to every guess like he has known them forever, I know that people can always find things wrong with the service of a restaurant, I do from time to time, but I have to say I don't remember having a bad thought about going to Aldolino's,

I've been coming here for over 10 years! Gabriel is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and his brother cooks some of the best pasta I've ever tasted!! I highly recommend!!

Best hidden gem Italian in Azusa/Covina. Gabriel and his brother have a fantastic restaurant that hasn't disappointed us in over 10 year of eating here. They have even been able to create an outdoor dining space during the pandemic so we can enjoying their great menu, creative specials, and fantastic drinks (full bar y'all!) Without missing out. A must dining spot of you're a local or visiting.

Just picked up dinner for Good Friday. We are regular customers when the restaurant is open for dining. The take out of seafood cioppino, pesto pizza and salad was outstanding. Don't hesitate to have take out, you won't be disappointed!

This is Absolutely the best ltalian restaurant in the San Gabriel valley or at least My favorite.
The food and service are always above
My Expectations which are always high when it comes to this style of food. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is tucked back into the corner of a strip mall. The food is good - whether it's off the menu or one of their specials. And we always try to sit at one of Amanda's tables.

The service was terrible and our food was even worse.... Not sure what happened but very different from a year ago when we were there...we will not be going back....my husband ordered the pollo al LA vodka and it was awful he didn't eat anything but the chicken...

Love it here! Everything on the menu and off the menu I have tried has been fantastic! The owner is such a lovely addition to why I like this place so much! You feel like your in such a different place when your inside verses being outside. Great job on this resturant!

Hands down, my favorite restaurant to dine at. The food is always excellent! The last time my husband and I dined here I ordered the calamari which is the best I have ever had. It is served with 2 different sauces that are wonderful. I also got the blackended salmon. It was cooked perfectly and came with creamy mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The creme brulee for dessert was perfect. The staff is always welcoming, friendly and attentive. The owner really makes you feel at home.

Been coming to aldolinos since 2005 and the food keeps getting more delicious every time I come. The owner provides great customer service and makes you feel at home. Probably the best Italian food restaraunt I have ever tried.

Ashame this place hadn't turned up in my explore what's around you prior to yesterday. Went to celebrate my mom's birthday and had a wonderful meal. The center and neighborhood where it's located might be a bit off putting but don't let that dissuade you. It is very nice inside and has a good ambience. Our server Amanda was friendly and knew the menu and specials backwards and forwards. The sauces were amazing and the bread delicious. My boyfriend had to be careful not to stuff himself on just the bread! My mom's shrimp were a good size and cooked to perfection. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. The 3 if us will each be enjoying our leftovers today. This place is definitely going on our return to list.
