Sweet as can be staff. Took my order on a short 3 days notice and totally delivered the most precious Elmo birthday cake for my precious daughter’s 1st birthday.

White cake with strawberry filling, buttercream cream frosting and fondant decor. It was delicious and perfect for the kiddos. 😊🎈🎂

I finished my last Chemo session and wanted to let the nurses know how grateful I was for their care of me. I called around and couldn't get what I needed. I needed each cooking individually wrapped to be able to have them safely distributed. The kind people at Sugar Twist made that possible. I expected cookies in a cellophane, instead each cookie was beautifully boxed. I sent my husband and he asked for those to be boxed so he could carry them easily to the nurses station. The nurse's were thrilled and my husband was speechless. The important note the cookies were moist, decorated as requested and tasted great. Thank you for helping us say thank you in a wonderful way.

The first donut shop I visited here in Bakersfield. I wasn’t impressed, the donut was very dry and tasteless. Was disappointed…most likely I will not be back!

If you order online 40 minutes in advance, they will still make you wait for all the walk in customers to be served, even though my food was sitting on the counter ready to go getting cold…. I saw multiple coffees and Frappuccino‘s being made carefully and slowly for customers who just arrived, but nobody could bother to just pick up my bag and hand it to me even though I asked. What is the point of ordering online and paying ahead of time if not to be able to go in and get your food and go?

They have very good donuts cookies and cupcakes and breakfast stuff.. along with coffee drinks and more. They also make homemade Almomd Joy and pecan logs and lemon bars and donut holes.. and let's not forget the delicious cakes and cake slices.
The place is nice and clean and the staff nice and friendly. The atmosphere is nice and Sugar Twist is in a good location for me... right around the corner
And the prices are fair although some cupcakes can go for 5 dollars 🤯😡. But when you need your sugar fix it's worth it for their delicious goodies cause they beat buying cookies or donuts from a supermarket.. so go to Sugar Twist and HURRY UP AND BUY......

Poor customer service. A girl sitting at the table working on a laptop came to the glass to take my order. She didn't wash her hands. Red flag. Gave me my pastries. Long story short. Got diarrhea that same night. Not only do they have bad attitudes but their cleanliness is lacking. Make sure she washes her hands or puts on gloves when she handles your order. It's a filipino lady.

Kid-friendliness: I saw a couple of young children with their parents. The youngest was maynbe a yr , a boy was chattering to a man that had come in and was in line. The little one seemed to be telling the nman about his yummy food. And his sister bout 3 yrs to your was not missing a bite of her food, in fact when they were about to leave they took the rest of what shed been very happy to be eating, to it in a to go bag, and she started throwing a fit. Both were so well behaved and so happy to be eating there food. It was amazing, that is just not something you dont notice very often. Children happy to be eating there food in a restaurant. But those two were very pleased with everything having to do with everything. It was very keSant.

So frustrating to be standing at the front of a line for 15 minutes while every single counter person was working on pick up orders. At least dedicate just one person to helping the growing line of people while everyone else works on orders.

Food was great, the service was friendly and the place cozy and appropriate for the occasion. But if they can add more things for people to buy as a souvenir or branding, like t-shirts or coffee mugs and other paraphernalia with their brand, now that would make it more appealing.

There cakes and cookies are awful. You might get lucky and find a couple of good things but then its not worth the customer service. Also they still have e everything blocked off and a table in front of the cash register making it very awkward to pay or get your stuff.

The cheese puffs! I m not allowed at family gatherings without bringing a dozen. So light fluffy sweet and just enough cream cheese. Call ahead and provide a credit card number, worth it. Parking: Usually a spot right at the door.

Their pastries are delicious and very creative! I think they aren t many good bakeries in the area and I couldn t even find decent croissants until I went there. I hope they expand and offer more pastries (baguettes, scones, loaf bread ). I ve been there at least 5 times and every time I go the atmosphere is dead and the girls who work there seemed annoyed, they are not rude per se but I always feel pressured to order quickly and leave.

The breakfast is to die for. Ive been coming here at least once a week for about 2 months now. Very pleased with everything they make. The Make me Happy is incredible! Ive tried almost everything from the hot breakfast menu and its all very delicious. Sugar Twist you gotta stop! Youre killing me seriously Im gonna get diabetes! Haha. Jeff K

Love this bakery. The only thing I dont like is not having napkins. Have ask for it and no creamer for coffee have to ask for that to. That to me shows that the owner doesnt want to provide these things unless you ask shows their cheap.

2 stars because the cupcake weren t awful. I was told half a dozen cup cakes cost $15 so I ordered 8. I saw the lady pull from the shelf a 6 slot and a 2 slot container, so I asked her if she could put the cupcakes in two 4 slot containers. Without warning me it was going to cost extra, she used 2 4 slots. However, the total came to be about $25 which I didn t think was weird at first until I read the receipt. I was charged separately for each cupcake. I waved down the lady and was told, I kid you not, because I wanted 2 container of 4s, she can t give me the dozen discount. We went back and forth on how it is reasonable to charge me extra just because I wanted same size containers. She refunded the order, only to have the 8 cupcakes replace into new 6 and 2 slot containers. The new total came to be $21. She just wasted two containers and lost the $2 tip I put onto the original payment. Am I crazy? Convince me I m in the wrong here, or I am not coming back.

This establishment has gone down hill significantly. Not only are their employees rude they hardly ever have anything that they advertise on their menu. Also, if you have cold, hard cash don t expect them to take it. I placed a $20 order and wanted to pay with a $50 bill and they wouldn t accept my cash. You can t sit here and tell me that they did not have correct change to give me. We are done supporting this business. They deserve zero stars in my opinion

I ordered a biscuit sandwich with American cheese bacon sausage grease. I didn t see and thing resembling avocado toast that the newspaper touted. Sorry I ordered this. Greasy and so was my husbands bagel sandwich. Very hard to order over all the noisy fans that run every time someone opens the doors. then on top of that you must order behind a chain linked fence in front of pastry so can t even get close enough to look at pastry. Too hard to even talk to server over masks.

Ohhhh boy! I can vouch for the cheese puffs! They are DELICIOUS. I don t even like cheese pastries all that much but I couldn t stop myself from eating so many! Also got their cupcakes and baconator cupcake, all delicious. We will be coming back again and again!

Dont come here to buy a latte after 4pm. The new girl at the register said my order out loud and the lady training her said our machine is down. It clearly was not. They just cleaned it and didnt want to re clean it again. I like to support small local businesses since i am one my self however I will be taking my bussiness to corporate chains after 4pm.

I bought a dozen of the cream cheese pastries to take back to the bay area to share with coworkers. Normally someone brings their Portos pastries but I have to say that everyone loved the pastries that I brought. Comments were that they were better than Portos. Which I already knew. Everything always looks so delicious. Beautiful cupcakes, personal size cakes, fancy donuts, cheesecakes... too many to choose from!

This place is well worth the trip. There teas are better than Starbucks. I would definitely recommend any of there Café items. There well flavored and prepared with care. There desserts are of the best quality. You will not be disappointed A true must have destination for all!!

Hands down the only donut I can eat in this state. The glazed donut and the gigantor glazed donut are absolutely amazing. The other ones are good too but can get sweet just like a normal donut. Ive had all kinds of desserts which are also good. Breakfast and lunch are amazing. Try it all!!

We buy all our kids birthday cakes here! Every time we come in, we remind ourselves how we gotta come in and order breakfast too! They sell great breakfast items here as well. The staff are friendly and accommodating and work hard to ensure your cake orders are exactly how you want it. The cakes are always delicious, moist, and not too rich!

Revised: Vegan donut. They have a plain cake coated in sugar. 1st visit donut was a light cake with good flavor. 2nd time 12/5 it was hard outside, dense inside, flavor unappealing and had that long after taste of a greasy donut. Don t think we will be back to try again.

The good: Friendly staff, beautiful display of goodies, clean shop. The cinnamon sugar tiger tail was delish. The unfavorable: Ham breakfast burrito was overtaken by egg, couldnt taste the meat at all agreed both by both whom tried it and neither wanted to finish it. The big kahuna breakfast sandwich on a bagel was too greasy to even finish eating. The chocolate icing on the doughnuts was soft, gooey... not a typical doughnut icing. The fruit tart was forgettable. Our 14 year old said It was alright. Ok. I wouldnt want to go there again. So with a 7 people trying breakfast and treats, 2 people would reccomend.

I ordered a cake for my boss bday and all the team loved! It was very delicious, and they had it ready even thou was a last min order, they even walk you to your car no matter size of cake! Defiantly will be referring more people to buy their cakes here!!! First time and loved it!!!!!

Very disappointed. Got a few things on my first visit including a cannoli. The first thing I tried was the cannoli. It was stuffed with whipped cream!! Cannoli are stuffed with ricotta cheese! It was horrible. The doughnuts were good. I asked if she had any cream puffs and she said she didnt know what that was. I said nevermind. To bad.. the owner wrote me and I appreciate that. It shows they care. I changed from one star to three. The doughnuts were very good. I do hope If they make cannoli in the future. They make them authentic with ricotta type cheese instead of whipped cream.

We love the pastries here! Great service and great staff! The last visit we were there was for my sons 8th birthday, he is obsessed with the campfire donut and was disappointed to see that they were completely out. The staff was so kind and thoughtful, without me even asking they went into the back and had a campfire donut made for my son. This made his entire day and he called the staff donut superheros!! Birthday saved! Thank you!!
