We went on Monday night for dinner and we absolutely loved it! The owner is super sweet and the staff is friendly! We will definitely be back soon.

A critical opinion (the good, the bad and the ugly)
We called ahead the restaurant about we coming over, upon arriving we were seated right away at a nice corner booth, we all three ordered a Filet Mignon with a baked potato and salad.
Our salads where served timely and was offered cheese and freshly ground pepper (nice detail) upon finishing, our Steaks were served and they were cooked just as we asked and were very good.
After finishing eating server left the bill, and few minutes later came back to pick up the payment, we visited for about 10 more minutes before leaving, at no time they offered to take away/clear empty plates from the table, (good service just not complete).
Now the ugly...their menu section for the steaks and specialty dinners do not list prices instead they are MARKET PRICE, I don't like to order something without knowing what the price is (don't like surprises) so I asked the server she mentioned $47.95ish, bill listed at $50.99.
I would have feel embarrassed if I had asked to have price corrected so I didn't, I have always felt that restaurants use this strategy as to overcharged the guest, in my opinion is shameless at the very least...(maybe illegal (SB478)

We were here for a business lunch arrived at 1:00 pm for a party of 13 people. All orders were placed by 1:45 pm. Most orders were not brought out to the table until after 2:30 pm we were all supposed to be back in the office by 3:00 pm. I was under the impression that they don't have enough staff because it did not appear to be more than two other tables that had patrons at them

My wife and I had 5:00 reservations and we’re promptly seated, our server Jamie is the last senior staff, everyone else has left. Our steaks, Ribeye and Fillet Mignon were no where near the caliber of past visits, so sad at $51.00 each. Once they were the best in town. Our friends warned us but we did not believe them. The Putinesca was excellent as everything else

My family has spent every Christmas Eve dinner at Sorella's for as long as I've been alive. One of my favorite spots in bakersfield for lunch. Nancy knows how to keep her guests coming back for more.

Celebrated our anniversary today at Sorella. First time here and it did not disappoint. Our waitress Denise was amazing. She made us feel so comfortable, answered all our questions and gave great recommendations. Seafood Portofino delicious. Can't wait to go back.

1st time trying and I was extremely disappointed. The pasta was so watered down and flavorless. The water itself was gross had a funny taste. The service was not the great either. They just walk by you and don't bother to ask or check if you need anything. I do not recommend. You're better off eating Olive Garden or Frugattis.

Very great service. The waitress were head was always there when we needed her. I had the porterhouse steak. It was so delicious and tender that it melted in your mouth. Would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a good Italian restaurant or steak house.

I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful place this is with a caring and talented owner and staff. Nancy accommodated us with a last minute memorial luncheon that was delicious. It felt like she was family... You can see why she has such a booming clientele .. Thank you so very much!

My first time here and I was disappointed. Had dinner with my fiancé tonight and we both ordered steak with pasta and salad. My caesar salad had a dressing that tasted almost like mustard, it even had a yellow color to it and the lettuce pieces were the size of my whole hand smh. My fiancé had a garden salad that only came with 1 crouton and very runny ranch dressing. His steak came out blue, it barely had grill marks and my steak was rare. We asked our waitress to have the steaks sent back and she questioned us about it, confirming if we both wanted our steaks medium rare. I don't like sending food back but each meal was going to be $50. When the steaks came back, I had to ask for a different knife because I wasn't able to cut into the steak. I tried 2 different knives plus the 2 knives my fiancé was given. After 4 bites into eating my steak, I decided to stop trying to cut it. I was probably better off picking up the steak with my hands and biting into it with my teeth. The fettuccine alfredo was good, thick sauce and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The spaghetti sauce however was like watered down soup. Also I had to ask the waitress for refills on our drinks every time or they would just sit there empty. She wouldn't completely fill up the cups either... she would fill them a little more than halfway.
Will never go back. Extremely overpriced for mediocre quality food and service. I rather eat at Olive Garden or take the drive to East Bakersfield to eat at Rosa's.

What happened to this once really great restaurant? I used to loved the food here, now it's inedible. I went with a party of three and everyone hated it. The minestrone soup tasted like it was made with a ketchup base, the bread tasted like it was Albertsons bread, the pastas where way to al dente and the sauce tasted like the off brand preggo from the store. The pizza was still decent but I've had better digiorno pizza. Also it was close to 30 bucks. I kid you not, I've had better tasting food from a can. On top of all that, the food came out cold. If you're craving Italian go somewhere else.

Honestly will say, service was great, but how ever. The food i got was cold in spots, probably because they are busy. The nice lady gave me a discount which i didnt eant, so i left her a good tip for just dealing with me, lol. Plus the steak was cold on some of the fat, and the fat to steak ratio is too much but boy that steak was good regardless. Probably one of the best steaks i had. Over all would of gave it a 3.5 but the server got it a nice four. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back

Our food was delicious. However, I gave it a 4 because my Ribeye was burnt on one end. The servers didn't refresh water glasses, I had to get the steak sauce myself. Atmosphere was good.

Food was really bad. Halibut was dry, lasagna had so much pre frozen ricotta cheese, and minimal meat, my daughter got a stomach ache. My Lobster Ravioli was sour. Our order came, table of 9, and only 8 plates served, because the kitchen "Forgot about the Filet Minion". I won't be going back. Service was great tho. Still won't be going back.

Unfortunately the quality of the filet mignon was very tough. The ribeye quality has disappointed me the last 3 times I have ordered it. I thought the filet would be safe but I was wrong. I am not ordering steak there again.

Let me start saying that I wanted to eat at this restaurant for a very long time, hence my expectations were very high. The first thing you see on your way in, is how filthy the carpet is; you cannot unsee it. Bad start. The nice waitress sat us on a corner booth; the seats were uneven, if that were the only thing, well I could let it fly; but it was not. No table cloth, just some sort of greasy amd smelly plastic protection on the table. Apetizer: fried calamari; we couldn't taste the calamari, just the breading. No good at all. We had minestrone, seafood portofino, eggplant parmigiana, and a pizza. The minestrone was amazingly good, one of the best I've eating lately; the eggpant parmigiana was way to blend to be considered as good; the seafood portofino....pasta was good, creamy sauce was great, but again...like with the calamari, I didn't taste the seafood flavor that made me decide for that plate; drinks were ok, my daughter wanted to have milk, but they don't serve milk. Bottom line I will not come here again. Sorry folks.

Unfortunately, during my last visit I noticed something odd about this restaurant. The prices went up because their menu price is totally different when you receive your bill. Also, when I checked my bank statement, the tip which I added to my bill was sufficient enough (more than 20% tip), the restaurant still added $2.00. Yes, I know what is $2.00? For others, it may seem nothing, but you can't find $2.00 on the streets nowadays. For me, it's the honesty and principle that counts :(

Today was one of the worst exp at Sorella's. For a party of 17, half of the steaks where sent back . First raw then over cooked. Lasagnas where straight out of a costco tray, straight to the microwave. Sorella's you should be embarrassed to call your self Italian restaurant. Thank you for ruining our Company Christmas Dinner.

Wow! Amazing Service! It's been atleast 13 years since I've been to Sorellas. I took my daughter yesterday and we were both pleased. Our Waiter Johnny was absolutely Amazing! There was an elderly couple that he was waiting on as well and they adored him and he adored them they were definitely regulars. He was so sweet and attentive to them and us as well. His conversation with them and how he treated them had my daughter and I in tears. Literally! You do NOT find that anymore! Definitely will become regulars there as well! Thank you Johnny!

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband and I planned to have a nice dinner out at Sorellas but the food was so disgusting we did not eat it. I ordered the shrimp fettuccine alfredo. To begin with, my food was cold. The shrimp were not deveined and they were raw. The ceaser salad was drenched in dressing you can barely eat it. My husband's steak was not seasoned and it was not worth the price as the steak he was served was not a premium steak as stated. I do not recommend this place. Waste of $120. Save your money and go somewhere actually good. I would rate this place 0 stars if I could.

We had a nice size birthday celebration party of 15. We had reservations.for 6 pm. We get there and our table wasn’t even ready until 6:30.. finally we all get seated. The server ask for our drink order which we all gave. They brought one small basket of bread which had 6 pieces of bread we had seven people at our table. Then we had to wait another 45 minutes to order. I read a review for a dish and it sounded perfect. So I ordered it. It was awful nearly warm. And very expensive for penne pasta. Long story short the entire experience was a nightmare. By the time we got seated until we finally got our dinner almost 3 hours. So for party of 17 people we had a nightmare experience and had to pay for it. I won’t go back. My dinner absolutely looked like it had already been served three days s prior then reheated for me. I will definitely remember Sorellas

The food is just ok nothing I have tried is something I go back for the sauces are very watery and their dessert menu sucks. Definitely a Cisco food truck place were they just heat of the food and sauces and give them out. Service is slow because from what I have seen the staff is all over the place and not just in a section. Which is why I think it makes them slow. I recommend Olive Garden or a different place.

Todo inicio bien fueron amables y rápido nos asignaron mesa, pero tardaron demasiado en tomar la orden como 30 minutos y una hora más para darnos nuestra comida que no estaba como la pedimos, para el precio de $48.99 por un filete mignon al menos debería ser como uno lo pide, lo queríamos médium well y nos lo llevaron casi quemado los 3 cortes que mis amigos y yo pedimos estaban igual de malos y la pasta no tenía mucho sabor fueron dos horas desperdiciadas en mala comida, mal servicio y para el costo $ no vale la pena en lo absoluto

When you go places, sometimes you pay for the experience.
I didn't enjoy this place at all.
The service was terible, the waiter that took care of me and my family was kinda lost.
Food was cold.
But what it really piss me off is that a Restaurant or any business charge me in advance for something that I haven't even used.
They charged me almost $5.00 for Credit card usage on the bill. And I was paying cash😡😡😡😡

I WANTED to love this place but it was just not great. My husband got a steak dinner and that was delicious, I however wanted Italian food and got the Italian trio (lasagna, chicken Parmesan & fettuccini) and was disappointed in the quality of the ingredients. My “chicken Parmesan” was pretty much a large breaded chicken tender. I honestly felt like it was something you buy from the frozen food section. I was shocked because I had heard such great things about this location. The service was great though—although at the front the hostess was not the most kindest. I am just glad that my husbands dish was delicious because his dish was $50+.

Second time here. First was the weekend after Valentine’s Day which explained slow service. But second time was not any holiday, and yet it took 46 minutes to get one plate of pasta. It was an oil pasta, it doesn’t need to be baked, this should’ve been easy to do in less than 20 minutes. Insane. Will not be returning.

Finally a Restaurant that still understands good food, good price and CUSTOMER SERVICE! I do a lot of catering and use Sorellas a lot. I had an emergency situation pop up and I had to cancel the order last minute. The Hostess was great and refunded my bill. I received a call from the Manager personally and she assured me it was no problem. In this day of chain Restaurants that the service, food and cost is okay at best, it is refreshing to have a local business that cares about their customers! I will go out of my way to use them at future events/catering...Thanks again!!!

Tried out Sorella on a friends recommendation after newly moving to town......
If you've never had good Italian then you may love this place, but if you've had great Italian then this will be a disappointment. I will say the waitstaff were very friendly and prompt with service.
In regard to food - the bread comes out as thick loaf cut that is extremely dry. This was our first indication the meal wasn't going to be great. We ordered the bruschetta to start - came out on the same poor quality bread and was a soggy mess. For entrees we ordered the chicken artichoke penne and chicken fettuccine carbonara. The salads were the best part of the meal. The meals came out with gravy thick, gelatinous cream sauce that had zero flavor, very salty, and tasted like too much flour was used to thicken. We hated waisting so much food but could not eat what was brought. Very pricey for the quality of food - especially when it's not enjoyable.

Super impressed by the highly efficient and very attentive young lady behind the bar where i had dinner and drinks this evening.
It was truly a pleasure to have been served by you, ma’am.
I had the Italian enchilada, aka, lasagna. Chef’s kiss. Rocked it.
I only had one thing to be concerned about and that was how loud that darn blender is. I would recommend it be put in the kitchen or a closet or something.
Leave the blended drinks to the kitchen staff.

I like to come to Sorella's for their steak which I highly recommend if you like meat. Service has always been good. Staff is attentive! If you're looking for good Italian food, this is the place in Bakersfield.

O SORELLA, com sua simplicidade, surpreende ao oferecer um cardápio variado e rico, desde as entradas aos pratos principais. Tudo que pedimos estava delicioso e abundante. São pratos bem servidos, alguns podem ser compartimos sem receio. A carta de vinhos é também variada, com preços razoáveis.
Finalmente, enfim encontrei um serviço atencioso, eficiente e cordial.
O que o Sorella sim precisaria, seria algumas adaptações para ter uma instalação mais funcional, com um visual mais moderno.

I just had this restaurant delivered by DoorDash. I ordered Payne pasta with melted cheese and sauce. The pasta arrived overcooked and without cheese. The bread was dry and stale .Very disappointed and extremely dissatisfied. I will not order from this restaurant again

My family and I had an unforgettable dinner night at Sorellas!! The atmosphere was great! Our waitress had a WONDERFUL attitude and graciousness about her. She was very pleasant and happy through to the end. She served us happily. !! The food was well all I can say is it was excellent!!!

Stopped here on a trip between Channel Islands and Fresno after a long day of hiking and driving where apparently, nothing in the area is open past 8pm. Found this place on a whim and after reading reviews, decided to stop in. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and chicken parmigiana dinners with fettuccine and let me tell you: this place is no joke. The fettuccine was flavorful and rich, the eggplant was melt-in-your-mouth but with enough substance that it didn't just fall apart on your fork, and the salad they threw in was large enough to be a meal in itself. And the staff was so sweet! Highly recommend to anyone in the area, you won't be disappointed!

Make a reservation!!!! Even if it’s on your way to the restaurant, it’ll save you so much time when it’s busy.

Omg where to begin, service was great. The longest thing we waited for was our drinks and that’s because it was busy. I tried the Italian cherry cream soda and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!!! It was sweet, but not too sweet, and it didn’t have a burn when you drink it like soda usually does. After that everything was out quickly!! Service was AMAZING!!! The bread was really good with vinegar. We got the fried beef ravioli, lasagna and soup as our appetizer. Would recommend everything we got. We also ordered the cheesecake with strawberry drizzle, and the chocolate lava cake which was to die for. Will be coming back soon!! Great for a date night and celebratory event. Very nice decor inside, dim lighting, it gives an old school Italian vibe.

We went for our son's graduation dinner. Great service. Wonderful food. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I highly suggest reservations if your party is more than five. They open at 4pm if you want a table right away, be sure to get there when it first opens

I used to love this place but unfortunately the food doesnt taste like it did years ago. It is pretty expensive, too, even for lunch. The service was great though and they do give big portions, so 2 people could really share 1 plate and it would be much more affordable.

Service: was good.
Food: was good. Most of the appetizers were not good. They were like frozen bowling alley apps. Not enjoyable. Sautéed mushrooms were good. I had the chicken parmesan. It was like a deep fried chicken patty they use for all their dishes. And that’s kinda how the food was. Nothing catered to the dish, nothing exciting.

Accommodations for a large party met. Service was quick and staff friendly. The food was very good. A bit expensive but it was my mom's birthday and she deserved it.

The service was good, staff was helpful. We had a large party of 19 and they were accommodating. Maybe it was just the food I ordered that I thought was a little bland for my taste. Everything else was great, just wish the food was more flavorful but it was a good time with my family and the wine was great.

This place has for the most part, amazing food! However, I've had some bad experiences coming here. Sometimes, you have to wait a very long time until you even get a table. I went to Sorella's in January, and I got food poisoned by their soup! Their Shrimp Alfredo pasta is the best. Their chocolate mousse cake is delicious. All of their waiters/waitresses are nice for the most part. Their bread is usually good. Sometimes, the bread is really cold. They always remain with the same consistency on most of their meals. Overall, I think this restaurant is very great.

It's alright, food is above average but not the greatest thing ever. The service is excellent and they will go out of their way to help you. The atmosphere is not good, even though the place looks massive on the outside the interior is very cramped and between the tables there is only just enough room to walk around. To their credit the place is clean enough to not be disgusting but I still wouldnt want to be on the floor.

There food is excellent! Their staff is helpful and kind. I'd recommend coming here on a less busy night such as a Tuesday, because sometimes its pretty busy.

There was a cockroach in our water. They immediately blamed us. Very gross and unprofessional. Avoid this place.
