I tried this place with my husband a little while ago and we were pleasantly surprised to learn a lot of the menu items are like an Indian fusion.

We aren’t big fans of live music, so we chose to eat outside. It was in shade, the menu was full of really good items, and the bar was impressive.

I was happy with a mango margarita while my husband enjoyed a good coffee.

He got the breakfast wrap and I got 4 different waffle flavors. We loved our food and we loved the environment.

But it wasn’t that busy and our waitress didn’t come around as often as we wanted. It wasn’t awful but we did have to wait an unusually long time for to-go boxes and our check.

We’re exciting to come back to try something from the dinner menu. If you’re a fan of fresh and strong flavors, definitely come by Harrington House!

Visited a few times and have always left happy. Local family owned. The restaurant is clean. Atmosphere is great. There is a nice patio for when the weather is favorable.

The food is wonderful. Love the American Pub and Indian fusion that they have goin on. Definitely adds a welcomed level of favor to our traditional American fare. They also offer some more traditional Indian dishes which are just as equally delicious!

Full service bar with great bartenders. Delicious specialty cocktails mixed in house. Beer tap selection is limited but it’s well rounded and local as well.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Waiters always do a good job from small to larger parties.

Only complaint is the time between putting in a food order to the time it arrives can be a little long. I think tho, this may be a testament to their fresh and higher quality dishes.

Overall, excellent place to drink, eat, relax, and socialize. Will be back!

This restaurant is adorable. The best food and the best service we’ve had in days. We have eaten in 8 states in the last 7 days. Ethan, the bartender and our waiter, gave us great service. We had a fresh generous salad, a charcuterie board, delightful cocktails, amazing fries, the best quesadilla and the prettiest presentation.

This place is something special and you will not find short-order greasy-spoon-diner faire here. This is a quick visit to a faraway land filled with vibrant flavors.

We started with a yummy brown sugar + cinnamon, oat milk latte (Karen’s recommendation). Then, we shared a Harrington Toast and Breakfast Wrap. This combination of menu items can be recommended for adding some flavor flare into your boring breakfast routine. It works. All the flavors work together… trust the process friends!

I’m visiting from Austin TX. My favorite part of travel is discovering places that make food from recipes you can only get in their dining room. Harrington House is the kind treasure I search for. I’ll be thinking about Harrington House until I visit again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped by for my boys birthday for some end of night drinks and a snack at his favorite local spot. The cuisine has an Indian flare but they are not scared to serve the cow. Appreciate the service, the Long Islands, and the down home feeling I felt at the establishment.

Had late brunch here on Sunday and got a macchiato, kheer, bacon, sourdough bread, and scrambled eggs between us. All great. Server, Jade, was kind and helpful. Will be back.

The food was good. My thing is why be a coffee shop when they shut down their coffee machine at a certain time. I went in there at 12 yesterday and the girl told me that they aren’t serving coffee anymore. It was so disappointing especially since they have great coffee. I just don’t understand why be a coffee shop if you close down your coffee machine early? What if a customer went in there for lunch or dinner and wants coffee after their meal?

The food was amazing. I had the samosas for an appetizer. Delicious along with delicious dipping sauces. I also had the Bombay burger. It was an upscaled bbq bacon burger with amazing beer-battered fries. The service was excellent and I loved the vibe of the restaurant. I would definitely come here again.

The food is excellent, unfortunately the service is very poor. Most recently we went on a Saturday at around 10:40am, there were multiple tables available inside and out but it was a nice day so we sat outside. There were three additional tables seated on the patio as well. Unfortunately it was as if we were not even there, no one greeted us once seated, no menus, waters, or even a hello. We watched both of the servers present that day go back and forth to the other tables at least 3 times. We also observed people seated after us receive service and even drinks. Finally after 11am we decided to leave (I don’t think anyone noticed) and eat at another establishment where we were greeted by our server within two minutes of sitting down. Even if we were to get a server at Harrington House, it seemed the service on this day would be lacking. On another occasion where no one checked on us for 45 minutes (our glasses had no water on a 90+ degree day), we even gave some polite feedback on their service to the owner. After giving Harrington House a few chances with poor service, I’d say we are done, a shame since the food is great. We will be sure to share our experiences. Very disappointing.

Harrington House was suggested by another local business nearby and I'm glad they did. They had live music which normally isn't something I prefer. Yet it works here! Both the service and food was fantastic (the tri-tip was tender and the fries had a spicy kick to them). I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Bakersfield.

Some of the best food in Bakersfield! This place is awesome.
The flavors of the food a perfect! The drinks are great and staff is very friendly and welcoming.
We will go in on Saturdays to grab some brunch and listen to live music and they always have someone good playing.
From bunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, and even getting some coffee drinks at their coffee bar you can not go wrong with this place.
If you have not tried it you need to go in! Amazing

If your'e looking for a fun place and great food, this is it. Our waitress, Maddy, was so helpful in suggesting foods, and so friendly to a first time visitor. The atmosphere is fun and light hearted. We went on a Saturday at noon and it wasn't crowded, not a place for meetings, BUT it is a great place for hanging out and enjoying your time. The food was amazing! We will be going back!

Their paneer sandwich is absolutely amazing, each ingredient in there is curated to perfection. Also a big fan of their avocado toast flavor and badmaash fries!! One of the best menus in Bakersfield. Nathan, their craft cocktail specialist is the sweetest and most talented! Harrington House offers a very unique fusion of Pub food with an Indian flair. I have tried their breakfast and their lunch and it always leaves me wanting more. Love that they are locally owned and operated, and it shows in the quality of food and the environment inside. Unfortunately, I just don't come here very often due to the pace of service. The servers are very pleasant and seem like they are trying, but the restaurant is often understaffed on busy days leaving long wait times to even get a food or drink order in. Whether it is busy or slow, you can always count on a lengthy wait once you do get your order in; my typical is 30-45 minutes. It really feels like you have to invest 1.5 hours or more when you go there. Again, the food is incredibly good. I would love to see some changes in the service time and food prep time.

I love everything about this lil spot. Great food, and great service. We came for dinner on a Friday evening and were greeted, seated and served very promptly. We were, however, not rushed. I loved that they didn't make us feel like we had to hurry out. The food was amazing, as usual!

Pretty disappointed all around with my experience here. Even though the place was half empty, we had to ask someone to take our order after 45 minutes of waiting. (Even with a reservation) The baristas looked shocked when I said no one had taken our order yet, they told us that the bartenders were supposed to be taking our order and serving us. The baristas were very nice and took our order, between myself and the two others I was with, it took an additional 45 minutes just for them to serve us 2 waffles. We were there an hour and 30 minutes by the time we got our food. Not once did any waiter or bartender come up to us until we asked for the check. Thank god they had mobile check out to pay our tab, otherwise we probably would have waited longer to leave.

The food… For a brunch menu there wasn’t many options and what we did order, was downright disgusting to say the least. We were contemplating sending the food back, but we had already waited an hour and half and didn’t want to wait another hour to get food, so we ate barely any of what we ordered.

Mind you, the place is over half empty the entire time.

The only saving grace was the coffee. It was pretty good, but not good enough for me to return.

In the end we left hungry, disappointed, and frustrated to say the least. If you have plenty of time on your hands and love mediocre food with terrible service, this will be your favorite place to go.

We waited two hours for our food to arrive. The servers were kind, but the food wasn’t very good, either. We basically paid $22 for one waffle that was cut into 4 pieces and advertised to be 4 separate waffles. We had to ask for someone to take our order after 45 minutes of being sat at a table. We were told by a barista that the bartenders should have been waiting on us.

Just get a coffee and leave.

Where to start…

This restaurant/brunch club has an interesting vibe when you show up. I went with 3 adults and 2 toddlers. The room is very well situated with a great ambience that gives a modern approach to the decor.

Our total time for brunch with 4 plates and 4 drinks was 2 hours. Yes you read that right… 2 hours. The servers are not very attentive to their tables. We sat for 30 minutes before we placed a food order and sometimes drinks even took 20 minutes or more to get. There were still numerous of empty tables.

The food is mediocre at best. Overly seasoned fries, over cooked waffle and a wrap that was drenched in salt and seasoning was not worth the wait.

They have a Karaoke/DJ who doesn’t even sing karaoke. It’s hard to describe. He sings when he wants to but it’s just the normal song with him singing over the main vocalist. Other times, he is awkwardly holding the mic reading his phone.

Our server was professional in every aspect even when we needed the check. The owner needs to pay attention to this place or it will for sure not last in Bakersfield. I would recommend this to a party that wants to start their bachelorette party in the morning or to anyone who has an abundance of time to kill and nowhere to be, also not picky with food. They have a full bar but I believe they missed the mark when it comes to brunch.

Good luck but I will not be revisiting this place.

Saturday lunch. It’s freezing outside and they have the bar windows open. A gentleman singing is sooooo LOUD, you can’t even have a conversation. He is doing a type of karaoke-doesn’t know the words to songs & continues to say, if I don’t know the words, I just make it up. Won’t go back -food is weird anyway.

Food has been great every single time we visit. But I've had it occur twice now where the service is just not there. However, after this last time, I'll only visit HH to grab a coffee to go. We got the bare minimum service. There were two servers, and four tables (including ours). Our server did the bare minimum. We had to go up to the bar to ask for refills of our non alcoholic drinks, and had to grab the attention of the other server to ask for our check and a box. Our server kept walking from the front host stand, to the bar, to the coffee station (to chat with another worker?), and repeat. Completely ignoring us even though we attempted to get her attention. 😬

My husband and I had lunch here on a Tuesday, so it wasn't very busy. The service was good and I liked that it wasn't too loud. The food menu isn't huge, but what I tried was good. My husband had the paneer sandwich, and I had a patty melt. The fries were so good! His paneer sandwich was amazing and the patty melt was fine just not as great. Some Indian spices on the patty melt would be great.

This place is absolutely terrible. Only a few choices no explanation of what’s in the food. Customer service very friendly. Their restaurant logo specifically says COFFEE! Every time I’ve gone the coffee machine is being broken down for cleaning I was given a free coffee voucher so I tried going back and the same thing happened!!! Don’t advertise COFFEE if there’s NO coffee!! So I gave away my free coffee hopefully they’ll have better luck then I did. I will never go back!

The service needs work. The vibe is great and we didn't stay long enough to try the food or drinks so I can't give my input on the menu. We got seated right away but nobody ever came to ask for our drink order or menu request. We walked out after we got tired of waiting when we saw the people that came in long after us ask for the drink order and then receive it without us getting helped. It was unfortunate because I really wanted to try this place but when the service is that bad in such a small establishment with multiple employees evidently available, it's a deal breaker for me.

Stopped in to Harrington House for date night and we absolutely loved this place. I got the pork belly pasta(rotating special) and my boyfriend got the short rib, both were delicious.

We ended up stopping by another night for drinks & dessert- HIGHLY recommend the milk and cookies (Biscoff cookie dough topped with ice cream).

Staff is always friendly and welcoming!

Service was great and the food tasted great. First time eating here and it didn’t disappoint. The menu is pretty simple, not too many options, which I like. We ate here durning Sunday brunch and I ordered the brunch wrap. The fries that came with it were crispy and delicious (if I knew fries came in the wrap I probably would have ordered the fruit instead). The wrap itself was very tasty and full of flavor. My wife thought it was spicy, but I did not. Our waitress was also great. Overall, great experience and great food. Will definitely be back.

The place is beautiful; however lacking in atmosphere and food quality. We sat down and others were served while we waited without having anyone help us. Before we walked out a nice waitress helped us. There are TONS of flies. The food was NOT good. Hamburger severely undercooked. Not worth $19 we paid. Disappointed. One star for nice waitress.

We made reservations for Mother's Day and were seated promptly. The food we ordered tasted great. We were fond of the badmash fries and mini samosas. My wife enjoyed her mimosas, my sister loved her espresso martini, and I enjoyed my Harrington Mule. The drinks had fresh flavors and were strong. We had our two small children with us, and they enjoyed the food from their simple kid's menu. Our kids ordered the mac n cheese with fruit, and the mini corn dogs with fries. Our server, Lexi, was very attentive and provided exceptional service. We loved the ambiance of the restaurant/bar, and we're delighted it's so close to home. We're eager to come back and try other items on the menu.

Best part is when you ask for American food you will be served perfect American like I had HH burger, it was right on, the perfect flavor and we had mini Samosas and paneer sandwiches so yum. Beautifully decorated with a friendly staff. Give this coffee shop/ bar/ cafe a try. My salad was so yummy. The dressing is amazing. The fries will have you coming back for more!!! They are served with their “special” sauce. I also had a delicious macha latte. It was so yummy I bought a second one to go! I didn’t notice until I got to work that my macha latte had a sleeve that was decorated by a 2nd grader!!!

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this spot to open. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere is lovely but the pricing for what I received is a drawback.

I ordered the masala succotash even though it was priced much higher than similar establishments. It was a little spicier than my taste and the paneer lost something when it was roasted. I am never able to finish a restaurant meal, but this time I did. I feel it was a small portion for $26.

My companion had the Nic’s Cali Cut (tri tip sammy). She said it was good but the meat didn’t have a lot of flavor. This was priced better at $17 and came with their unique fries.

That being said, I will be back for sure to try something else and enjoy a coffee on the cute patio.

This is one of the most Simply Fabulicious restaurants here in Bakersfield California!!! The atmosphere, staff and food is a Simply Fabulicious 10 !!!

Hi All! My husband and I checked out this new spot in Bakersfield. They opened on April 22nd and I was impressed on the flow, food and service. Must check out!

Decor - 10/10. Beautiful interior, chandeliers we chic, loved the inside outside concept where the bar was connected to both.

Food - 9/10. Everything we ordered was delicious. I only knocked a point, because I ordered a medium hamburger but it looked to be a bit on the well side. However still delicious and the spice point was right on. Drinks were innovative and delicious. Mixing the Indian flavors was a win!

Service - 10/10. Sarah was our server and she was great! Very attentive. She made sure we were taken care of.

Overall experience was great and we'll definitely be back! Next time we'll make sure to bring our friends and family.

Drinks were decent. Definitely will be better once they gets things running more smoothly. Bashmash fries appetizer sucked though. Taste was good but $16 for fries some sauce and like 4 small cubes of paneer is not worth it. For $16 bucks don't be skimpy on the paneer. Otherwise it's literally just $16 for fries with a drizzle of sauce.

An interesting menu and decent prices for well prepared flavorful food and drinks in a modern environment. Staff is extremely friendly and communicative. The vibe is hitting on the younger side with an air of class divide tangible in the sharp looks of the clearly businesses class clientele, the norm of Bakersfield SW.

Awesome spot!!! My girlfriends and I loved the charcuterie board. They said the menu is subject to change after grand opening but I uploaded the current menu.

The fusion of different flavors spoke to me with every single bite! Literally the best french fries and dessert I've had! The atmosphere is refreshing and unlike anything in Bakersfield, highly highly recommend!

I give these guys a 10 out of 10 for flavor and customer service food was
Cooked perfectly and seasoned just right!! Everyone was super nice and very professional LOVED IT!! Definitely will be going again
