I will NEVER order take out again from this place. Normally their food is good but today 1st time ordering take was such a disappointment. We ordered 2 chilaquiles which I've had before but I didn't expect EVERYTHING be separate. I understand that you might not want it to get soggy but if you put it out on the time promised u avoid that. What we took home is glorified chips n salsa. And on top of all that my eggs had a hair in it!!!!!

TL;DR: Highly recommended. Customizable food options, friendly staff who check in, cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like you're escaping Downtown Bakersfield.
Huevo House was an absolute treat. Walking in I was taken aback by the environment, it felt like I was escaping the rush of downtown. The atmosphere has the feel of an old timey restaurant but with a modern feel with the myriad pieces of art across the walls and the decor. I was seated pretty quickly despite coming in at the peak of lunch on a Friday.
I ordered the chicken chipotle melt with fries. The wait wasn't awful and the food was delightful. The filling of the sandwich felt generous and the fries were reminiscent of Checkers (which is some of the highest praise I can give). I was even offered a complimentary coffee cake for it being their one week opening. Not too big but just enough to scratch that sweet tooth.
The menu is large and a lot of the items sounded tempting. I was also informed that you can customize many of the items on the menu with like a fried egg or hard boiled egg for example. Fitting for a place with this name.
Staff were friendly and attentive without feeling overbearing.
I'll be back for sure. ✌️

What a wonderful find! This place has only been open for 2 months now. When we walked in, we were a little bit surprised because the interior was so stylish compared to the drab strip mall that it is located in.
Theresa was our waitress, and it shows that she has been doing this long enough to know what she is doing. She was everything you would want, pleasant & professional.
We ordered a very simple breakfast, in part because we we find that is the best way to judge a new place; Can they cook the basics well? Everything was done to perfection. The hashbrowns were not overcooked. The eggs over-easy were just that, whites thoroughly cooked with lots of runny yolk. The ham was hot & juicy.
My only reservation and it is a personal taste issue is that the gravy had a chicken bouillon flavor. Some people love it. I prefer a gravy base with more of a pork flavor.
Other than that, it was an excellent dining experience.

Mimosa flight was delicious, not too sweet, got the Tiffany, Mermaid, and blood orange. BLTA and Birria and eggs benedicts were delicious to, would've posted pictures, but already ate half. Never had avocado fries, but they were delicious especially with the Cilantro sauce.

A great find! The menu is massive and amazing vegetarian choices as well. The Abuelita latte is a must try! Fun place to grab Sunday brunch as the portion sizes were big. I tried their avocado fries, it was juicy and well seasoned - did not feel greasy at all. I also had the veggie omelet and chilaquiles with the mimosa flight. Mimosas were refreshing and had gummy bears in them. A great stop for a roadtrip lunch too. Will definitely be back!

I ordered this for the first time though Uber. Received my order. It was packed great! However the food quality!?! TERRIBLE! It’s all processed. The chicken fried steak was a blend of ground grissel and fillers. The sausage gravy was sweet (blyuck) and sausage tasted funky. It was like they took already premade frozen food and heated it up in the microwave. Quality 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

They say first impression is everything.
A table for 10 walked in at 2:05pm yesterday knowing the restaurant closes at 3pm. The cashier...Mexican girl... & the cook both made dumb looking faces noticing we had a big party aka $$$ to spend. I automatically noticed & so did the party I was with... we caught that and just left. Probably never will ever try and experience your new location due to a rude worker & cook.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., a group of at least ten of us arrived at your establishment for the first time. Upon entering, we observed one of your female staff members rolling her eyes and sighing audibly. She then approached the cook, who turned to look at us and shook his head. This behavior was witnessed by all members of our party.
As a result of this incident, we felt unwelcome and decided to leave the restaurant. As we were exiting, one of your servers informed us that a table was ready for us. She had mistakenly assumed that we were leaving due to the wait time. We explained to her the incident that had occurred upon our arrival.
During our conversation with the server, the manager/owner of the restaurant stood at the door observing us but did not approach us to inquire about the situation.
We have been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to dine at your restaurant since its opening downtown. However, this unfortunate experience has left us reconsidering our patronage.

Food Was Okay, Service was Fine, Music was too loud and the food was overpriced.

Brunchiladas in red sauce were over seasoned and salty. The tortillas seemed to be warmed in the microwave instead of the comal. Steak strips on the brunchiladas were extremely salty. Eggs are on the smaller size. Chipotle sandwich was fine, but the buttered toast was doing all of the work. Bisquets and gravy were fine.
It's a disappointment with the food. Service and drinks were excellent 👌

The food wasn't put together when I ordered delivery. I had ordered the açaí bowl and the meat chilaquiles.
The chilaquiles were missing the eggs too.
I called to confirm if they had eggs and some lady named Amy answered and said yes they do have eggs.
I wonder why mine came with no eggs and the food wasn't even put together.
It was all chips in a box, salsa in a cup, beans in a cup, and meat in a cup.
All not together and missing the eggs.
It's called Huevo House and didn't even get me the eggs.
I paid $32 for this and didn't get a refund either.
Don't order, I had high expectations and they failed miserably.
