L&B Mexican Restaurant I am very pleased we picked you to cater our wedding. You and your staff are very friendly and the food was AMAZING! I received compliments all night and many guests asked where your restaurant is located. You went above and beyond which made the evening feel more special. You made sure all tables were continuously stocked with chips and salsa and the food service was fast and well coordinated. We couldn’t be happier how smooth everything went. While in the city of Bakersfield you have to come try this authentic Mexican restaurant. The Birria tacos are a must, including the Chile verde with pork. The natural drinks are also a must. I’m definitely coming here again.

First time here. The service is amazing. Not overpriced at all. They were very busy, but made time to ask every table at least three times if they needed anything. I had pozole, wife had steak ranchero. Both were best in town!! I’m not kidding.

The Michelada came with carrots, celery, and lemon. Very good. A must try.

L& B Mexican restaurant can certainly be recommended for having excellent food.
L&B opened over a year ago and has been doing good business since. The owners Lupe & Betty, are always there and they are the nicest people.
We came in for Mexican breakfast on a Saturday morning.
We both ordered chorizo con huevos, one with rice and beans, the other with potatoes and beans, meal comes with choice of tortillas.
Both of our orders were delicious, we ate it all.
Gabbie was our waitress, she did a outstanding job. We will be back very soon.

Wish I could give them 10/5 stars!!! Such kind customer service, and the food was amazing. Super flavorful, good quantities, and not over-priced. They were even kind enough to bring us a piece of flan on the house even after my baby threw up on their floor. They didn’t even flinch and helped us clean it up. we will be back regularly. 😊

The food was bland, the service was slow, and I asked for one of my choices on my plate of an Enchilada and I got a tasteless all ground beef Enchilada with no cheese on top nor inside it! Then the ground beef tasted weird! Not going back! My Aunts Tacos were awful the chicken was tasteless. She couldn't even eat hers!

Molcajete trio is the best! The sauce they make and everything was very delicious, they are also super kind and attentive, I highly recommend it.

The service and the atmosphere was decent. But in sorry the food was disgusting. The first bite my husband and I looked at each other thinking the same. The meat asada and pastor had 0 flavor, it felt like it had been fried over and over. The Aguas were good but man the food 🤮. Not coming back, sorry.

A really good chill vibe the food I had which was the steak Ranchero was absolutely amazing you can taste all the flavor in every bite and the mimosas are absolutely to die for if you are looking for a good restaurant with good entertainment as well as food L&B is the perfect restaurant to hit up don't wait go now...

This is our go to place when we want home made Mexican food! It’s the best in town and the girls are absolutely the most loving and warmest people you would ever want to meet! They care about all their customers as if they were family! Check it out you won’t be disappointed!

I wont be returning here, the tacos have absolutely no seasoning or salt. I thought it would be nice to support local business but this food is absolutely BLAND. Waste of money.

We shared a steak fajita. There was more than enough for the two of us. We were disappointed there wasn't draft beer and tortilla soup as advertised on website, but the food was good enough that we returned again later that week. Friendly staff.

Cheese enchilada with green sauce, rice and beans was decent. Taquitos with sour cream, guacamole, and pico with rice and beans was pretty good. Will be back for more.

Traveling from Austin Tx and we stopped here for breakfast. Atmosphere and service is amazing. The ladies working here are very sweet and inviting. The food is delicious and would definitely come again!

We had Taco Tuesday tacos. The service was friendly. I was a bit disappointed that the chicken tacos were dry and lacking in seasoning. The pastor, asada and chorizo tacos were good. The salsas were really good. Unfortunately they don't offer curtido or chiles en escabeche (pickled veggies or pickled chilies). I would definitely change my rating if the chicken isn't overcooked next time. Overall, a little less than average for Bakersfield.

Miss Lupie and Miss Betty are the nicest people I have met. The food is so good I eat 3 times during the work week . Sunday morning breakfast chicken fried stak breakfast is the best. Coffee was as good as I ever had in all my travels. Really, it is an incredible environment for families or as myself alone working in the area. If you're feeling uptight, from world pressures, you probably won't be after dining here.

Highly recommend L & B as an authentic Mexican Restaurant , a great place to eat. Lupita and Betty are friendly and hard working ladies that go over and beyond to serve you in a quick and efficient manner. Our family of four and a few friends try to eat there once or twice a week. If you like Menudo they serve that on Sat & Sun and they also have Taco Tuesdays - both are delicious. 7/3/23 KG

My husband and myself tried them for the first time about 3 weeks ago and we were blown away by the food and service. We have been back several times, the food there is that good. We have met the owners and they are the sweetest ladies. If you have not tried the food there yet, you MUST! You will not be disappointed!!
This is our new go to place.

This was actually our second time here this week because the first time we came in the food was so good we wanted to try other things! The staff is so polite and attentive it makes you want to come back just for the hospitality. It's definitely worth coming back for.

My girlfriend and I went to this place tonight. I had the 3 item plate (ground beef taco, chicken enchiladas, and a Chile verde burrito) with a Chile relleno a la carte. My girlfriend had the Chile verde dinner. Everything was very flavorful and the owners Becky and Lupe were very friendly. We will definitely go back.

Finished a local race and I wanted some chilaquiles for my post-race celebration. Loved the food and the service was just as good. Super friendly, and they congratulated me on finishing my race which I really appreciated. Definitely plan on going back again to try more menu items!
