I had the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer. They were amazing. I should have ended on a high note. My salad was underwhelming. Dressing is everything in a salad. The garlic balsamic is oily. Not enough to flavor. My companion had pizza. It was average.

Yesterday was my first time at New Vintage Grill, and it was a great experience! The food was delicious. I had a house salad with vinaigrette and a cup of chili. The corn chip topping on the chili was a nice touch. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was top notch. There was live music! A guitarist and a violinist. That really made my night. I had a great time! Highly recommend. 😁

Wow, the atmosphere and decor is beautiful here. They have dinning on the patio or come on inside, plenty of room.
I came in for lunch with a party of seven and everyone raved about their food. I ordered the pastrami sandwich with fries, it was very good. It comes with both mayonnaise and mustard, next time I will have them hold the mayonnaise, nevertheless, it was still delicious. My friend ordered the French dip, he loved it and especially loved the horseradish sauce, he said it had a little kick to it that he enjoyed. They have a full bar and about 15 beers on tap.
Hats off to our waitress Abigail, who did an outstanding job taking care of us, thank you Abigail .

I just traveled across the country from PA to CA, and New Vintage was my first "non-fast food" meal in CA. It was delicious! Reva behind the bar kept everyone engaged, was quick with her service, and was quick with her wit and humor. I had the Spicy Korean tacos and the Voodoo Ranger IPA. As a brand newbie to Bakersfield, I would recommend this place!

What a little gem! Located just outside of downtown Bakersfield. Our lunch was absolutely delicious. We had the poke nachos, chili lime shrimp tacos and the apple hill salad. We had already dug in when I remembered to grab a few pics! It was just too good! Taste, presentation and price.. all on point. Definitely coming back the next time I'm in town.

2nd time coming here…can’t wait to come again!

My first trip here didn’t count because I was with a party and had to eat and run.

This time I had a proper lunch with the family and was able to enjoy my food and the atmosphere.

This place is a great place to grab some food and some drinks!

I had the French Dip with a salad as my side. The French Dip here is awesome! Make sure you ask for the mushrooms (costs a little extra but it’s worth it). I had their house salad with a vinaigrette. It was great.

The place wasn’t too busy on a Saturday afternoon during lunch. The servers were attentive and our food and drinks got to us in a timely manner.

I would recommend this restaurant.

We ordered french toast, biscuits and gravy, BLT, and a breakfast combo woth the best spuds ever!! Mother's day brunch with my sister and family moms. Many staff as they were busy with the customers. Great energy there, we love how open the inside is. We sat inside next to a patio window.
No mountain dew at this location.
Overall, service was nice considering it was a busy Sunday holiday.
Immediately when we sat down we noticed the wobbly table top. Unfortunately it looks like too many people use the table to lay weight on as they go to stand up from the seat... we mentioned to the supervisor (who was super sweet) and she Unfortunately said they know about that table and a few others. She said they didn't have someone at that time to repair them. And this was a serious wobble which was worse on my side. As in, I didn't out my weight in the table at all, no elbows etc.
Lastly, I do judge a place by the biscuits n gravy... so restaurant was busy, and our table had four plates like I said. My gravy was warm enough to keep the top of my biscuits warm... hut not hot. It was yummy and of course I enjoyed it. 😉

Came for dinner and picked the wrong time to go to be able to have a conversation. They had a live band playing so you couldn’t talk to anyone. Server was friendly, but they overcooked my chicken wings and my daughters food was very bland. Saved the day with the crème brûlée cheesecake for her. We probably won’t come back anytime.

We are currently working in the Bakersfield area and I was craving a good fish sandwich. I am so glad that we came to New Vintage Grill. We were promptly seated, the serve staff is fabulous!!! Let me tell you, the Wild Cod Sandwich was spectacular!! This is a sandwich that should be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and given Guy Fieri’s blessing!! The Parmesan grilled sourdough toast was so crispy and flavorful. The fish was flaky and cooked to perfection. The toppings finish everything off. We got it with the French Fries and our server brought us little containers of the chipotle aioli and the jalapeño ranch, great suggestion. We highly recommend this establishment and we definitely will be back.

Took for ever for us to get our food. Tortillas for the tacos were cold. And the fish and chips were soggy no flavor. Servers didn’t come by to refill drinks or to check on us or clear the table. Definitely We will not be returning to this restaurant

Atmosphere was extremely cozy and welcoming. My husband and I ordered the chili steak fries and it was completely loaded. We only needed one to fill us both up and still had some to take home. His tap beer was cold & crisp and our waiter who was also our bartender was appropriately polite and attentive.

We were here from out of town, looking for something that had some options that were not heavy. Had the pastrami sandwich and the French dip. Subbed the Jalapeno soup for the fries. All were excellent, the service was great and the choice of music was really good (we are in our late 60's and really enjoyed their selection of Rock and Roll)

Pretty good, I had the Dirty Bird, a turkey club sandwich on a croissant. It was good, the turkey was a little dry, and I think it would be be better on a heartier bread - the croissant got pretty soggy. Hubby had the Cordon Blue Sandwich. He said it was "ok".......

The environment here is great! The hostess were all super nice and attended us nicely! First time here and the waitress help with the food choices! The food here is amazing!
Started off with the Denver omelette, the potatoes were nice and crunchy! The omelette had so much flavor! The French toast here is delicacy! Never had recieved it in this fashion and the chuncky piece is great! My hubby also grabbed the breakfast burst sand which! The croissant was super soft and this sandwich a huge hit!
They had a special muffin of the day a coffee chocolate chip! Amazing along with the coffee ☕️

We ordered online like we always do (normally we use for the Hageman one) and decided to try Truxtun since we were coming in from out of town. Had a pick up at 650pm. Got here 10 minutes early and it was a good thing cause the lady stated she was too busy and hadn't even printed our order for the kitchen. Sigh. It didn't seem busy in here either, especialy when the Hageman one has been packed and our order was always ready on time. However, maybe they were shorthanded or it was just a crazy day where things went wrong. NExt time maybe if there is an issue no fsukt of the customer you shoukd.offer the customer a drink, eater, soda or tea whike they wait. Now were not giving up on the Truxtun location yet, and hope it's better the next order. We did really like the atmosphere at this location, very open and made u feel less squished and of course THE PIZZA WAS SO GOOD, AS ALWAYS!!!!

Such a good vibe in here. I had the fish tacos and OH MY were they amazing. They are by far the best fish tacos in town. I had them with sweet potatoes fries, and those were just as tasty. The price of the food matches the quality youre paying for. So good! New favorite spot for sure.

This was just the perfect place to have dinner for our family of four! Everything was freshly made and delicious. Our kids (9 and 5 years old) loved the food as well. We had stuffed avocados, taco chips with cuacamole, a shrimp salad, a hamburger and kids burger + cheesy noodles for kids. They also brought fresh fruits for kids. Perfect stop from Sequoia to LA!

Loved their orange beer (can't remember the name) and the CaliPizza was excellent. A medium fed 2 of us with half a pizza left to take home. The servers were super friendly and efficient, even with a big group which is difficult because it gets confusing with separate checks and all that.

Enjoyed the spacious, and cool dining room. Food was delicious and not pretentious. Presentation of how the food was served was okay, could be better on a regular salad plate verses the industrial metal bowl (which showed wear and tear and dings). Dessert was amazing!

Steven was very helpful and kind, and our burgers were absolutely delicious. I got the one with the bleu cheese and mushrooms and my mom got their standard burger and both were very good. We had a nice waitress last time we were here too, when we had very good fish and chips, but I don't remember her name.

Food is mediocre. Half our breakfast was cold. Gravy didn’t have the flour roux cooked out so it wasn’t pleasant. Chairs are wildly uncomfortable and tables are wobbly. Vibe is forced. Mimosas are good and have a good deal.

OMG! Fell in love with this place! I think I have found the best Shrimp Tacos. They were the bomb. The stuffed Avacados were amazing also. The restaurant was lively, upbeat and the staff were very attentive and efficient. I will be back to try another food item. Soooo good!

First time here. The restaurant has an open floor plan. Plenty of room. The food was good. No one in the party had any complaints. Pics are shrimp tacos, margherita pizza and ahi tuna nachos. You do have to read the rules they have at the table. Enjoy.

It was my first time coming here and I don't think I'd ever come back again. The cup I was served water in was dirty and the fish and chips I ordered was subpar. The fish had way too much breading, it was burnt and on top of that the fish was gooey and soft. The fries were overseasoned and the fish tasted bland.

New to New Vintage Grill Truxtun...was able to meet with family :)
Two tables to the right are open tables so feel free to take a seat if you don't want to be seated (hostess failed to tell me that and I waited a good 10 minutes by the door).
Food was great: Eggs Benedict, margarita pizza. Coffee was good as well. Great ambiance, big screen tvs (NFL, NBA games). Come on down!!!

Words cannot describe how upset we are after dining here. A long drive from Vegas we wanted to stop for food before pitching our tent in Sequoia….boy were we surprised how terrible the food was. We had two bites and decided to leave after trying an appetizer and their pizza. I wish I could go back in time. Ruined appetite and 45 minutes of my life wasted. Yes I’m being overly dramatic because this place is overly awful. Our server was pleasant though. For the nice server you get one star at least :)

If I could give no stars I would. All the food we ordered was terrible. I don’t know what these other reviews are raving about. Maybe they had a 5 year old child cooking and the main cook was out sick…we order the poke nachoes and the Pops Mommas pizza. God awful. I’m surprised this place exists…. The server was fine and I felt bad for her so I paid for the food we didn’t eat and gave her a big tip anyways….either make better food or do the public a good service and close your doors for good.

We came here for dinner and had a large group with us and were seated shortly after they arranged the tables and a few high chairs for the kids. The service was awesome from the hostess, waitress, and servers. The menu had a variety of things to choose from and they have a nice selection of beer. The food we ate was good, we’d like to try more things off of the menu. It’s extremely easy to find parking and great if you have a large group or kids. Overall it’s a nice place to sit down and eat and watch the game on the many tvs they have there.

This place delivered! Hands down has a great variety of foods and the service and presentation was what I didn’t expect, everything was like being at a 5 star restaurant , I’ve seen this place many times driving by and another restaurant said it wasn’t any good, but now I think they were just trying to detour me from here.. I’m glad I stopped in and got to experience a nice dinner with my love , and the beer selection was at a higher standard than I can say for other locales .. and they close at 9, except for Sundays 😉

I ordered my Togo order 40 min prior. Still had to wait an additional 15 min. As they hadn't cooked kids mac yet. I get home and don't have Au Jous for 2 French dips in the order. When I called to ask about it, the host who took my order and had a conversation with me about the Au Jous, told me Au Jous doesn't come with a French Dip!!!!! Smh. Really sad that this employee doesn't know what makes a French Dip a French Dip!!!

Don't order the vegan Burrito:tasteless with mushy potatoes. I've had the crab cakes Benedict which are salty.I've been here about 6 times. Always crowded. I just don't care for the food. The wife likes it

Our order was misplaced ..but our waitress was so kind and apologize for our delay...she ket checking on us..our food came out soon. I will return.

I really like the meals they prepare. Always fresh and wholesome.
The service is fast and friendly. There is a bar with specials all day. Very handy for downtown business lunches. This the second restaurant in Bakersfield with a big variety of food.
