Easter brunch was off the hook. The buffet was just incredible. Maybe the best prime rib in Bakersfield! I wish they'd bring back their Sunday brunch. Just one thing....don't add a 22% tip for the server who does very little.

My husband and I went there for lunch today and we are so Glad we did!! The food was Amazing, our server was super sweet. We are so happy you don't have to be a member of the Country Club to eat there. Hidden Gem!! We can't wait to go back!

Outstanding Event Coordinator (Kristen) and Staff. We were a sponsor for the Dress for Success Gala and the venue was beautiful with amazing views of the golf course, friendly staff, professional, great food, and excellent service. While setting up for the gala, seeing so many golfers on the course was nice.

We had a lovely dinner last night at the Petroleum Club. The view out on the golf course at dusk was beautiful. The tables were set beautifully with black tablecloths, beautiful gold chargers, and sparkling crystal. The wait staff was attentive, but not intrusive. They did a great job anticipating our needs. The menu is diverse, with a good selection of options for casual and fine dining. There are many options for people following a plant based diet.

My dining companions tried the clam chowder. They thoroughly enjoyed it, reporting that it was creamy, full of clams, and nicely seasoned. They both followed the soup with the salmon salad. The salad itself was a nice mix of different lettuces, fruit, and veggies, topped with a very nice size portion of salmon. They both enjoyed it very much. I had the plant based Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and veggies. I believe the Salisbury steak was a house made veggie patty. It was flavorful and the texture and crust were very nice. I will look forward to eating that again someday! My companions then shared a raspberry cheesecake with a chocolate crust. They reported that it was delicious.

Upcoming events in October include a wine pairing and Sunday brunches.

All in all this is a great place to enjoy a wonderful meal. I look forward to doing so in the near future!

Very quaint and elegant to eat in Bakersfield. I ordered the filet minion with butter garlic and parmesan. Mmmmmmm. It had su h great flavor in every bite. Vegetables were cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were whipped and prepared with an excellent blend of seasoning. Very small area for a golf course country club but nice e and quiet. Use to be for members only but they are open to the public. Has a dress code but still can be casual. Service was excellent. Enjoyed the conversation. Definitely a place to dine for a special date.

Delicious food! Just tried a couple of appetizers from their bar menu for takeout and I was so impressed. The avocado toast was perfect and the kalbi quesadilla was to die for! So flavorful!

I just want to say a big Thank you to the Petroleum Club for hosting the Toys $ Tots event . We had a great time . The food was great. There was a great turn out . We enjoyed watching the pageant as well. The kids were all so great. I am glad i wasn't a judge. We will be back next year if it is put on again. Oh yeah and we had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little girl. She was going around to all the table telling them thank you for coming.

Probably the worst restaurant I ve ever been to. Food was atrocious, gave off microwaved airplane food vibes. Server was very nice but rarely seen. The entire place is stale and they put us in a back corner instead of the main room, when it was practically empty.

We had a wonderful dinner looking at the stormy sky over the links. Service was attentive. Place was not crowded and we couldnt figure out why.

Great food, service is very good and venue on the Second story. It has spacious views of the Driving range and First hole Tee off box, and fairway. In the bar area you view the Tenth fairway and 18th finish green in the distance. If in the spring you like lunch on the upstairs patio, you get all those views north and south. Great for celebrating any events, tournaments, or party for the masses. Check for a membership or special evening wine club events and special celebration dates they have set already. Only change is new service people who are really good at knowing menu selections.

Been here twice since they started hosting the Bakersfield Jazz Workshop, Tue evenings. Order was lost both times, but mgmt eventually made up for it well. Everyone is very courteous. Acoustics are good. I will update as they get more accustomed to a crowded house in search of great live music. I suspect they will earn the 5th star before long.

Delicious quality dinners. Had to wait for food to be prepared, said short staffed that evening and provided complementary desserts because of the inconvenience. Nice staff. Took family pictures with good humor! Would gladly go again.

This is a really lovely place! I have been there several times for special events. At night it has a great view. Im not sure if the food is prepared on sight or catered out but it was mediocre. The servers are friendly. Its very clean.

Made a reservation for a Wednesday night just as they were opening. Greeted with smiling, professional faces. We were not members but were treated as royalty. Our server Ben, was part of the family by the end of the evening. All of our meals were prepared exquisitely and were very tasteful. I had the salmon and it was the best Ive had in a while. Ill come back if they let us. Thanks Petroleum Club, very memorable.

The food is amazing. Chicken is always cooked perfectly, never dry. I Iove the coffee they serve after dinner. If Bakersfield had a skyline and no smog, the location would have the best view in town. Overall the Petroleum Club is the perfect upscale venue for any event.

Being on the 12th floor of Stockdale tower, the Petroleum club probably has the best view of Bakersfield especially from the balcony near the bar. It is a popular venue for association and society meetings within the oil industry which is obvious given the name. The normal menu of the restaurant is much better than the catered buffet that is served at events so dont judge the food completely on a hosted event at the club. However, even the restaurants food can range from very good to barely mediocre which goes for the service as well. When they do have ample staff and the right chef, it very well can complete with the top restaurants in Bakersfield.
