Pizza was a huge disappointment. Could've gotten better from 7-11. Horrible. Will not be around long.

Placed 100 dollar order. Wife wasn't aware of what was ordered. At the time of pickup, she signed the merchant receipt, but wasn't given a receipt and brought home the food she was given. Noticed 2 liter soda was missing, no biggie. We called and the lady was reactive and rude, stating she gets busy and we could come get a 2 liter today or tomorrow if we wanted to. She blamed my wife for not checking the receipt, she never gave her, rather than apologizing or taking any accountability for her own mistake. We will never return.

Beware of their incompetence and poor customer service!

I ordered a double pepperoni and I got this......I asked to make sure they got they the DOUBLE, and I was told yes this is double. What a joke!!! A true disgrace to any pepperoni lover 😥 NEVER AGAIN 🍕 Pizza hut would have done a better job 😡

Waited and hour and didn't get our food. I requested a refund which they gave me, but never once did they apologize. The girls in the back were too busy chit-chatting but their personal lives instead of trying to help the customer. Never will I go there again.

Google says it closes at 10 we showed up at 8:30 they said we could only order to go. They said on their website it shows 9 but Google shows 10 but they have no access to change it lol so unfortunately we left without ordering

Low quality food, cheap plastic forks and paper plates, customer service is really bad, food is also made with low quality ingredients. Did I mention I found a hair in my salad ? ...not a good place to go and eat

Update 5/3/24: Ordered a pep pizza via DoorDash and I will say the flavor was great! One of the best tasting pizzas I’ve had. Only issue this time was it wasn’t cut all the way through. When grabbing a slice the pizza would just tear…flavor made up for it though…Also, I have been there for the lunch pizza a couple times and it was also delicious.

Walked in close to 3:00 (happy hour) and asked for an Old Fashion. Was told “ I don’t know how to do that “. OK, how about a gin and tonic? “I don’t know how to do that either” Seriously? It’s gin, tonic water, and a lime!!!! let me ask in the back?????

Came back and said “we can do draft and bottle beer only”. Cya. Also too hot in the business. No more.

Was a customer. I ordered some cheesy bread but it was cold by the time I got so took it back. When they brought it back to me, 2 of the slices didn't have cheese on them. Oh, I wish they would sell the cheesy bread individually for like $1.29 or something like that. It's more of a appetizer, not a main meal

Just went in to check out the place. It’s within a half a mile of home and was better than expected. Extremely clean, especially the bar area. Full bar, very descent selection for a pizzeria. Service was perfect, can’t wait to come for happy hour..

Great food & atmosphere. A little pricey. A 1 trip to the salad bar is $10. You have to pay for every condiment, like ranch for your fried pickles. I bought the 1 trip salad bar & asked for something to put ranch in, I was told they couldn't give me anything cause you have to pay for extra ranch, you can't get it from the bar, even though I already paid for it.
Other than that it was good food.

Pretty good food. Could be pricey sometimes. One downfall is you only get one trip to the salad bar. You have to pay again to get more.

Went with hubby to get 2 lunch specials at 11-11:30 am today. We were getting salad at the salad bar and everytime we scooped lettuce, cucumbers, beets, every vegetable, to put on our plate, a string of slime was over each one, there was a slimy film on EVERYTHING, even the ranch had the "pull" of glue, we almost gagged, and went straight away to get our money back.

My wife and I sat here regularly. The pizza is always great and the salad bar is awesome. It's competitively priced with other pizza shops, but better than most.

The food at straw hat is amazing. It's good quality and not just your ordinary pizza place. The environment is good for the kids. I recommend this place over the other pizza places in the area.

The food was good to staff was great the order came out exactly like we wanted it the place was clean the floor and the tables were not sticky lots of TVs it was a clean and pleasant atmosphere I definitely recommend this place especially for the pizza

Make sure to check your food for hair got a salad. There was hair in it then got a chicken sandwich and there was hair on the bun as soon as they brought it out then when I tell them about it, they ask me if I want another plate and I said no why would I want to play when it was in the salad then when they brought the sandwich out, the guy put my plate down and I looked at the bun and there was a hair on it

Everything tasted great but it comes out on a crazy timeline. We ordered the pizza, wedges, and wings & the crispy green beans appetiser. Told the girl up front I might come back up to order a beer but I wasn't sure yet.
After sitting down and waiting on the pizza, decided beer would be good with pizza so I went back to the front to order. After waiting in line the same girl said, "oh you can't order that here you have to go to the bar." She couldn't have told me when we first ordered? Go to the bar, bartender is great, beers are all one standard size, come back to the table.
Pizza is eventually delivered. It took about 20 minutes or so. I get it, it's decently busy and there are to-go orders as well. It is by far the best pizza in town. Over 5 minutes after we finished our pizza the wings showed up. They had crisp skin and lots of sauce. The garlic wings tasted bright with a hint of lemon. A few minutes later our appetiser & wedges showed up. The green beans were fresh crispy & bright, served with tasty ranch. The wedges were crispy outside and hot & fluffy inside. Best wedges in town. After the woman dropped them off a guy from the kitchen walked over to us and grabbed the basket of wedges and said, "we're going to go ahead and let you keep this because we messed up and dropped it at the wrong table." I looked at him and said, "You mean the wedges that are part of the pizza, wedges, and wings?" He looked embarrassed and put our food back on the table and said, "oh, you got that? Yeah."
Don't ever-EVER-grab a guest's food after when they're eating it. The food is great but the service (outside of the bar and the woman delivering food from the kitchen) is subpar.
At the end we closed our tab at the bar after just the 1 beer. The bartender was running around the entire restaurant bussing tables but saw me walk up to the bar, and let me know she'd be right with me- which she was.

Tl/dr: food is great service is meh.

Pizza not up to par.Been eating pizza at 6 different Straw Hat locations for 40 years and by far this has been the most disappointing. Pizza kinda taste the same but service really slow and hot hats have been the worst . I would suggest the owner go to Cerritos location or even Exeter’s or even Santa Maria’s location and taste there pizza and hot hats . I know it’s new but step it up or get left behind will give them another try soon to see if they got better thanks and sorry for the harsh criticism but I ranted and raved to friends of mine and you all let me down so hopefully you bounce back.

I arrived @ 11:00 am when they open. I was the first one to order.. (take out) my food set on there shelf at least 20 minutes, and I had to ask for it , and they still didn't give to me (trying to play it off) until 2 minutes later. My plastic bag was sweating 😓 from being in the bag for so long. There is no direction and accountability !! nor anyone in charge of this operation..

Really nice place. Wish we could have eaten in the restaurant, but I guess the have a policy that if you come in after 10, you have to order for takeout. Just remember to keep that in mind if you visit.

Pizza was great and the environment was nice and welcoming.

Got a pastrami sandwich yesterday and it was to come with tomatoes pickles and mustard. Well I paid 12 buck for all bread and a few slivers of pastrami. No tomatoes, pickles and mustard. It looked like all bread and no pastrami. So disappointed

I ordered a pick order of Pizza and buffalo boneless chicken wings. They were good! Service was slow. Since my phone order was taken by the bartender I had to pay at the bar. I was waiting in line to pay my bill the bartender was cashing customers out taking cash and credit cards. The bartender continues to cut oranges never once washed her hands prior since she was handling cash and credit cards. She was even drinking out of her water cup. I understand this is week 2 of grand opening but they is not good hygiene. The manager should think about doing a reset on cleanliness and sanitation. I’m glad I didn’t order a drink there that was made unsanitary.

The food is amazing!! Inside looks good but the service is a bit slow and forget about calling in an order. They just let the phone ring. I was yhere on a Friday so they were packed. Just opened so it's going to take some time to settle in.
