LB Cake Stop is near and dear to our hearts! For over 10 years we have enjoyed everything this family owned eatery has to offer. I crave their lemon lavender cake. It's exquisite. Recently, Mom and I wanted fresh pecan pie. Within a few hours we were biting into pieces of heavenly delight. This place prides itself on fresh and organic ingredients. Boy do they deliver in spades! The reason I say that this hidden gem is one of the best kept secrets in the SGV is because of their FOOD!!! They have built their reputation on delicious, one-of-a-kind desserts but the food is on par with fine dining restaurants in Los Angeles. Whether it is lentil soup or artisan pizza made from scratch, or wild caught salmon with exotic rice and fresh vegetables, you will not be disappointed. I'm already thinking about my next order. Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. The woman was incredibly rude to my husband and I. I scheduled an in person consultation and she cracked the door open an inch to dismiss us. And she told me I need to “call” for consultation. I explained that I tried calling but the number was not working it just beeps, never rang or went to voicemail. I also had an in person consult which I never received. They kept my deposit even though they never gave me a proper consultation. I booked online with my phone number and the person I spoke to sent me text messages talking down to me. Saying that i don’t know how to read and that I can’t afford their cakes. They were charging me $350 (including the $25 deposit) for a single tier cake to feed 25 people.
Stay away from these people. The woman was nothing but condescending and disgusting. They took my money and didn’t provide a service. Thieves.

Due to "covid" I could not go in. It was vast and empty. I was going to go inside and browse their selection. I settled on a gelato ice cream sandwich which was one of the few visual ads on their front door. A punch in my face and a small hole in my wallet for it. $10 in cash because their minimum card purchase is $20. But oh so deliciously sweet coconut.

So I bought a birthday cake a few years back for my bothers birthday cake was so, so it was well decorated but I personally didn’t like the taste it was the first time I bought an over priced cake. I think ralph’s or even superior market cakes taste better. But I have to say what I didn’t really like is their customer service. No customer service at all they Dismiss you very vaguely and with a bad attitude. I don’t know how they keep customers or continue to stay open. NEVER AGAIN AND I HOPE PEOPLE SEE THIS REVIEW AND KNOW FROM MY EXPERIENCE HOW BAD THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.

Forget Starbucks! Try their fresh baked croissants 🥐 So fluffy and flavorful. We ordered a 1/2 dozen to go. Also the carrot cake and the coffee put Porto's to shame.They have two different coffee options, one more stronger than the other. So make sure to specify 😋💟☕️

Horrible service, especially form the main lady. I've bought a few cakes her thought a few years. But she's always rude at first I thought she might be having a bad day but know she's just a witch. I had received a cake form them for my daughter2 years ago with a Roblox them. Well when I got the cake it was a whole different them it looked like fairies. I then called her and she didn't want to give me my money back for the cake. It ruined the whole them and I also had decoration to match the Roblox. She proceeded to be rude over the phone so unprofessional. The cakes may be decent looking but customer service and professionalism is trash.

I don’t have the option of giving zero stars, but if I did I would. This place is overpriced and not worth it. Their customer service is horrible. The lady is very rude and needs to learn how to talk to paying customers. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else where they value and respect their customers.

Late night order, my 6 year old daughter had cravings for cake. We just showed up to the place after googling already 10 pm mind you. I love the attention and politeness they showed while we waited for the cake. It does say online orders, they helped us place the order in the spot, and had it ready quick too. My daughter was in love with how well it was decorated, and packaged in a fancy box, nice detail. It tasted great and was reasonably priced.

We went during business hours and they wont even let you in or talk to you. Must make an appointment or oder online. Why have a store front? The ladies weren't gracious at all. I have no idea what the cakes taste like but i know i am not coming back.

The level of care and product quality is unmatched in this place compared to every bakery I’ve ever been to in my life. The nice lady in the kitchen is a super chef preparing the high quality items with the help of her awesome husband. You have to try LB cake stop.

I wouldn't even want to give this place a 1 star. I was recently looking for a bakery to make a last minute customized cake for my father and I found this place. First timer here. I wanted to stop by to check it out since I saw on Google that their cakes looked very nice. When I approached the building I saw that I had to ring the door bell. When I rang it, I was approached by an older woman who opened the door and said "Can I help you?". I said to her "Hello, may I please step inside to discuss about a customized cake for my father?" She gives such a horrible attitude and says " No, you can't come in we're closed, what do you want?".(Hours online say they close late and this was around 3pm Monday). I was like "Wow, well.....I would like to discuss with you about making a customized cake." She says "we only do online orders it's to late, I'll see if designer wants to see you." I said "ok, thank you". (Mind you im waiting outside this whole time). A young woman comes outside with attitude just like the older lady and says to me "we don't do last minute cakes, we only do online orders. Heres the website to order cakes". Out of respect I said "thank you" and walked to my vehicle. These women shouldn't even run a business with that kind of attitude towards customers. They are very rude!. I would NEVER come back to this place. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!. Luckily I found a place elsewhere that was respectful towards wanting to help with a last minute cake.

We love this place. Their pastries are delicious. We are kind of addicted to their croissants, Bombolonis, cannolis and cake slices. Always fresh and they are open late which is perfect for late night cravings.

The cakes taste too sweet and old. I wouldn’t eat it even if it was free. Don’t know what’s wrong with the chocolate covered strawberries. Maybe just bad quality chocolate and fruits, while charging like 5 dollars per piece??

This place is horrible the lady there at night is beyond rude. She complained because I used my keys to knock on her door. Instead of being respectful about she gave me the customer attitude. The only reason I used my keys is because they are always I.lm the back hanging out and I usually have to knock for 5 minutes just so I can get their attention so I used my keys to knock louder. I respectfully told her that I was there for an order and she completely ignored me and with attitude requested for me to not knock on her windows I said I was sorry about it and she said next time don’t be so blind and look at the door bell next to the door. But that door bell wasn’t there before it’s actually new. How do you come at a customer like that??? Let me teach you something. Next time say hello good evening for future references we now have a door bell that you can use. I would’ve been like okay awesome but no the lady came at me disrespectful. To top it off she wasn’t even wearing a mask. What a way to run a business imagine your cakes being made without them wearing a mask. You should take more precaution during this pandemic. I’m glad I didn’t take that cake and walked away. So unprofessional! I would rate this zero stars but it doesn’t have that option.

A true hidden gem in Baldwin park!
I was planning a small gathering for my mothers birthday in April, amidst the beginning of the pandemic, and was looking for a bakery last minute that could make cake for her. LB Cake Stop was able to take my order and ended up producing one of the the prettiest and most delicious cakes I have ever had outside of my wedding cake. To my surprise, and after a few questions we decided to do a German Chocolate cake designed in the shape of a sunflower. My moms jaw hit the floor when she saw it as this is her favorite flower/color. There was so much detail in the design and the cake was delicious.
Although they have been preoccupied by what is going on back in their country we are praying for you and wish for you the best. We hope to have them do a cake for my daughters birthday but undoubtedly will be a long standing customer.

Placing an order over the phone was basically impossible. I called 3 times. Coworker called twice. Boss called once as well. Six calls and still had trouble ordering. Got hung up on twice. One call they said they’d call back. One call they said they’d text us back. Never took payment or even confirmed the order. Never even finished placing the full order, I barely got to mentioned one of the two cakes we wanted. Then they randomly texted us saying the cake was ready when we never even knew if the order was placed or not. (Plus it was ready AFTER we had already gone home for the day)
Confusing and frustrating experience.
Since I never actually got a cake I can’t comment on the quality of them. I can only say that trying to order two cakes was an impossible task.

Update......
I normally don’t post reviews (2 total to date) so I did not see the response from the owner.
If I could go lower then 1 star I would. How dare you accuse me of being a liar. Or not a real customer. I still remember that day very well. I remember my coworkers and I in disbelief over the struggles to just order a cake. So much so, that my boss called and tried ordering because he didn’t believe us when we told him how difficult it was. He wasn’t able to place an order either!!! We also specified, or at least tried, to specify when we needed it by. You did call us, AFTER WE WENT HOME FOR THE DAY. So of course we ignored your call. We no longer needed it. Horrible customer service. And reading the owners response just confirms what I knew all along, she does not know how to interact with customers. And there are other reviews stating the same thing.
Customer service still gets 1 star!
And just a reminder to those reading this, I never tried the cake so don’t know the quality. I just know you won’t be treated right!! The owner is very rude!

I bought a tiramisu cup, tres leches cup and a creme brulee and they were overpriced and a disappointed. The tiramisu and tres leches had 2 or 3 pieces of the cake and 90% was a cream like substance not good at all. The creme brulee tasted ok but the sugar wasn't torched. Expensive and not worth it at all!

Horrible experience!! Prices are ridiculously high!! They don’t tell you this; Be careful when leaving a “consultation deposit $ “ because you won’t get your money back if you don’t end up buying from them. The deposit they ask for upfront is a way of them making money using false justification! One lady is a bad communicator and the other is definitely NOT a people’s person!! I don’t recommend this place!

Went to order cake on a Monday/spoke with a young lady who offered options and ideas. Great ideas and the price fit wonderfully. Picked up cake on Saturday,Feb.23rd. Had a great time and caktwas beautiful and delicious. Very, very GOOD. Highly recommended to ALL.

I just purchase a beautiful cake here las Saturday for my nieces birthday don’t get me wrong it was a beautiful cake but when I got to cut the cake the red frosting on the cake was the worst thing I have ever try since I pay a really high price on it I though it was gonna be worth it but made the biggest mistake ever on purchasing a cake here I will never going to order cakes here. Do not recommend at all I posted a picture of the cake witch I pay $103 dollars for it it’s a beautiful Elena princess cake but the taste of it was so disgusting.

Came to check out the place for the 1st time with my son. We where looking around & we where approach with a rude lady. She's like are you going to buy anything. I'll like we are still looking. To distract my son i was like.... hey how about we go get some ice cream & then we can pick out a cake.

I came in looking for birthday cake very last minute and was delighted to see a wide variety to choose from. The chocolate fudge looked too good to pass up and I was not disappointed, it was just as delicious as it was beautiful. I'm glad to support a family run business that pours love into their product.

Bought several cakes. They are beautiful but last time I tried to order she wanted to charge me 500.00 for a cake for 60 people. Ridiculous. She was very arrogant and I will take my business elsewhere.

Decided to check out the cake shop really nice cakes but way too over priced ! Awesome cake. I have family who don't like sweet and it was perfect . So that says a lot. Only one bad thing the cake slipped from the bottom half as I did a turn. But great taste.
