Been coming to La Fogata for over 23 years. Roger and Luis and their staff have always been the kindest and friendliest people.

The food is delicious! Best salsa anywhere! Best seafood anywhere! I eat out every day and love Mexican food, the freshness is beyond compare. Love the food here.

Have an oyster shooter and a Cadillac margarita when you’re here.

Haven't been to this restaurant in years. You must've got new cooks because your Carne Asada wet burritos used to be so good and now they are disgusting. The rice has no taste. This food is not no good anymore I would not recommend anyone to go here. And they've always gave you salsa and chips with your orders. I didn't get neither it was pouring rain and had to go back to work so I couldn't even go back and Get salsa, really dissatisfied

I took my Mom for Mother's Day on a Saturday because I had to work on Sunday. She got the Chile Relleno plate and it was great because it came with 2 Chile Rellenos so she ate one and had the other one for lunch the next day. Overall great Food and great service and highly recommend it!

This little gem is a wonderful place, staff is friendly , bar is comfy and the drinks are good! I will be coming back :)

My wife and I ordered a molcajate of chicken and beef and it wasn’t cook or grilled well so we requested the waitress to re-grill again and they came back with it and still was not cooked/grilled well enough. the quality of meat is the cheapest meat too and serviced us canned refried beans and rice was pale. I do not recommend this place at all

La verdad que porquería de servicio, ni siquiera se tomaron el tiempo de atendernos solo nos dijeron dónde gusten se pueden sentar y de ahí nunca se fueron a parar y eso que ni gente tenían solo tres mesitas a pero eso si platica y plática entre ellos

The burrito looked really good when they brought it to me but after taking a couple of bites it was the nastiest thing I have ever eaten the meat was super burnt I seriously felt like I was eating sand with no flaver whatsoever save your time and money eat at In N Out or sometime els. 😅

Shrimp tacos were so spicy I couldn't take a second bite. Waitress refused to remove them from the bill. Had an asada taco from my friend's plate, it was bland and flavorless. Worst mexican trash I've ever had the displeasure of eating. Won't be back.

Food Was disgusting rice was pale no favor, beans were like a smear on the plate with a pinch of cheese. Tacos had two strands of beef with lots of fried onions tomatoes and belll pepper and full of old lettuce tomatoes and a pinch of cheese. . Used to come here a lot many years ago when my sister worked nearby. Hadn't gone in many years since. I got the fajitas (shrimp and beef) my sister got the carnitas.

The fajitas were ok, missing a bit of salt but over all a good portion. Not flavorful enough to order again.

The carnitas were amazing! Really great flavor and very tender.

Both of these items came with rice and beans. Rice was good, beans were ok.

Service was really great though!

I love this place! Go for the Roger tacos. Service is suuuuuuper slow, so just go when you’re feeling relaxed and have plenty of time to chill out and enjoy some good food with your friends and family. And yes, it’s expensive, but it was underpriced for too long.

My mom n I used to come here way before covid happened it was better back then.. my family n I came here yesterday to have a birthday lunch for my brother.. the prices went up sky high.. 14.99 for a shrimp tostada no flavor mostly had tomato, onions n lettuce.. who puts lettuce on shrimp tostada?? Oh yeah they do.. my mom's beans n rice had no flavor either the rice was a little mushy.. I ordered 2 shrimp n 2 fish tacos to go for my son that couldn't come with us.. waited 15 minutes for those.. n everyone kept telling me let's go.. never going back again.. they had one lady cook n one waitress.. also the restaurant didn't even have a grade on the winfow. casa CASA JIMENEZ in la puente is much better than this place.. we couldn't go there for lunch because they had an event reserved already.. it was our first pick to go there too.. bummer..

Best Mexican food in LA....u have to try the beef/chicken fajitas...WOW. good size portions and it taste out of this world. The food is well worth the price. The service is great and they are friendly. Also, the camarones de Costa Azul is also very good, a most try.
U also must try a margaritas while ur there because they are gooooood.

The food is plentiful, delicious , authentic Mexican food 👍 The service is great the young ladies are personable and efficient!
We love the Camarón a la diabla , it is one of our favorites and the mole sauce is outstanding!! Deliciously hot!

Ordered a long Island,..not even close. Bitter & tasteless. No chips were available nor beef burritos,. Waitress said they were out of beef or chips because owner was away in Mexico. Not really a customer's need to know or problem.Total dissapointment! :(

I can’t believe, the chef don’t check the flavor of the food before he send it to the table , I order caldo de res and it was the worse soup ever!!!even A maruchan is better than that, the salsa and the rice was really good , but they need to try that nasty beef soup, so they have some comun sense and don’t sale something like that. The restaurant is nice and the service is super good

Unfortunately, this place will not be a top choice of my list. However, the inside Mexican folkloric decorations are looking good, ... the food was not that great, we both ordered the same dish (enchiladas verdes), and the taste was not that great. We needed to order a small plate of fresh onions to try to improve the flavor, it did help but not enough.
I will not come back.
Hopefully, for other customers the cooking should be better.

I mean la forgetabout it. They told me the breakfast was not spicy but it was not and I asked if the dinner l ordered was spicy and they said no but it was so spicy I almost died I need to learn Spanish or leave my country? They need to learn English or? Let us meet half way. No Spicy 🌶 Food means Not Hot. Si. I recall saying, “ No Picante”., to them it seems like that Don’t care or Understand the word. Very disappointed. I always though they care about their customers. I got there,, three other people got there and they were served first. Waitress promised us to bring chips but completely ignore us. We had to leave to Uruapan, disappointed.

Very good food & service..shrimp tacos de la plancha are very delicious,, Oysters always fresh,,wet Burritos a must,,and with a Bar in this Establishment,, it is definitely a plus to have with your meal because the drink's here @ LA FOGATA RESTURANT are excellent. my favorites Mix drink here is the Screwdrivers & Cadillac lime Margarita's servedw/1800 cuervo,,
a must is the Modelo micheladas are just too good for you to have just one,,
Simply excellent..back to the goods of of their dishes served up here. And I have give this dish a two thumbs up is
something I call finger foods is their Nachos,,have one and you'll Wana have them all,, they're addictive,, really they are. Also if you like Guacamole,, then your gonna have to try some of their delicious Taquitos here @ LA FOGATA RESTURANT. This is the spot were I found the Krispy delicious Taquitos. The Taquito dinner come with beans and rice and a generous portion of the Gaucamole and then some ,, always fresh is their tasty Ingredients they use to make their Guacamole. 3 Taquitos come in either Chicken or beef in the dinner or ala carte orders,, the 1st time I tried their Taquitos,, I've been ordering them @ least 3 times a week,,what can I say,,
I jus love them.. the best I've had..
Probably why I come 3xs a week to ""LA FOGATA RESTURANT"" SGV BEST TAQUITOS & GUACAMOLE !!!

Solo fui a recoger un caldo de albóndigas que mi hermano Hordeno y me paré enfrente para recoger lo I nadie me saludaba o me decía nada y se acercó una mesera con una cara de perro que no podía con ella y de mala manera medijo que si iba are cojer y le dije que si i solo agarro el dinero de mala manera y sin modalidades solo lo tomo i se fue ni dijo gracias espero y ese tipo de personas las pongan aser atrascosas no al frente con los clientes

They have hokey signs painted on the windows, advertising their fish and shrimp tacos. Verdict: a must try!!! They have a super yummy chipotle sauce for the tacos. Hokey signs not hokey tacos! Planning who to bring next.
