Panera Bread

My last review got deleted. No worries. The pictures below tell the whole story about how downhill Panera has gotten. This first is a steak and chicken breakfast sandwich, followed by a ham and egg with “extra cheese”. And to top it off, even after submitting a complaint, Panera will have you believe that this is a caprese sandwich. You all realize it requires cheese to make it right? Pathetic. Rude staff too. Fire everyone.

The avocado toast looked promising, what I got was a slice of toast with tomato’s and a SLIVER of Avocado. This was the equivalent of La Croix sparkling water having flavor to it. This was essence of avacado, hardly any actual Avocado. They ZESTED it with avocado.

I was deciding between gas station coffee and Panera bread coffee. Honestly, I feel like the gas station coffee would have been a better choice. It’s just watery and not greats I opted for the iced coffee. The flavor is funky to say the least.

Awesome service at this location. I was on my 30 min lunch break and rushed for time with many orders ahead of me ,but the people here expedited my order. They are always friendly, efficient and accurate. The food is good, the service better.

Great team and service. The food is always fresh and made to order. Healthy but delicious, I especially like the option to get a soup and sandwich. I recommend stopping in for some good eats.

I went through the drive-through and ordered the chicken, Mediterranean and grain salad With extra chicken on the side. I did ask her where was the side of chicken and she said they put it all inside of the bowl of salad. Instead of her going to correct the order by maybe just adding a cup of chicken since she made a mistake she decides to open up the salad, pluck all the chicken off and added it to a cup and stick it all back in the bag. I sat there and disbelief like does She not know that I can see her? Ugh When she brought it back to the window I told her I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to go ahead and run that back. Meaning I need a refund there is no way I’m gonna watch you pluck chicken off of my salad and add it to a cup thats disgusting. Also, she wasn’t even the one who originally made the salad so I asked for a manager Miss Alicia comes over, and decides to tell me how everybody makes mistakes. The mistake was adding the extra chicken to the salad. The disgusting part was her plucking it off mind you she put on gloves without washing her hands I’m just saying I don’t know too many people that are paying $20 for a salad to have a Putha dig in it To remove the chicken that they added in error. Not to mention the employees standing next to her, spraying the counters with cleaner, while my salad is open. This was my first ever bad experience with Panera bread and I can say I will never be back to the Barstow location and it’s sad because that’s the closest one to me. Alicia refunded my account but the credit didn’t go right back onto my card so if I didn’t have money I wouldn’t even Have been able to eat tonight. This was super disrespectful.

An excellent stopping point along the I-15 for some up-scale fast food.

Things I love: clean, peaceful dining. Good quality food, for the most part.

Needs improvement: this place has sit-down with service prices. And everything is BIG CARBS. It’s mostly tasty, but sooo pricey with little protein involved.

I’d prefer it over most fast food, but it costs too much for what you get - mostly bread, breading, crumbles and more bread with your small portions of protein.

It took over half an hour to get our food. Steak ciabatta was horrible, bread was wet and soggy. Pastries (chocolate croissant) were not fresh, will not visit again.Panera used to be good not anymore.

On our way through Barstow while travelling we stop here for lunch. Sandwiches are made fresh and the soups are really good. I tried the Dipper sandwich and it was great. Quick in and out makes for an efficient stop.

This place deserves 5 Stars right away. The food is so delicious and fresh, the people working here are awesome as well. I could write more but the review will be too long. I'll stop by with pleasure whenever I'll be in the area.

What the heck happened to this place. The bathroom are gross, the toilet don’t flush. The food took forever to get. The tables have trash all over them and it doesn’t seem to bother anyone that works here

TRASH. One star for the amazing cashier with glasses! The food was hard to finish. I ate it because I paid for it, even though they got my order wrong.

The kitchen staff is why this place sucks. Most of them were on their phones completely ignoring me. I had to ask, "is this my drink?"

One said "I REALLY don't want to make this order" even though the place is as DRY as the desert lmao!!The irony.

I've worked in low pay kitchen's, ACT like you care you lazy children. Don't ruin the customers experience because you're too busy scrolling TikTok (I'm assuming).

Solid and reliable Panera. Salad and soup pick 2 for the win. Always a reliably clean meal when on the road. The company isn’t without its issues but it beats Taco Bell. Also avoid the charged lemonades. They’re deadly 😱

All I ordered was a small smoothie and after 10 minutes at the window without being acknowledge I left. Right after I left they helped the car behind me. They're rude and inattentive. They ALWAYS take forever.

I came through the drive thru this morning. I had an issue with the app. The girl working there helped me through the issue and was so patient and nice. Food and drinks are delicious as always. Awesome service and food. Will def return. Sips club is 14.99 now still a killer deal.

Ordered for pickup as I was driving home from Vegas and didn’t want fast food. So disappointing. What a sorry half sandwich for $9 . This photo shows what is supposed to be bbq chicken. The photo looked good but this is sad. They gave me maybe half a teaspoon of bbq sauce, a thumb length of onion and forgot the cheese. And I ordered the Asian chicken salad and they gave me some vinaigrette or balsamic dressing instead of the right one!

Llegamos a desayunar, me fui por el impacto visual de un cartel con un sándwich con jamon y queso y ademas pedi un Cafe Latte.

Mi esposa pidio otras cosas.

Oh sorpresa cuando muerdo el primer bocado! el pan estaba impregnado en canela y azucar!!! Que que????

Fui hasta el cartel a ver que decia y efectivamente en letra pequena decia que contenia esas dos cosas... Como alguien puede comerse eso?

Mi reaccion fue devolverlo, eso era horrendo.

Cuando voy hasta la cajera hay unas personas que estan siendo atendidas, entonces, logico, me quedo alli parado esperando sin interrumpir.

Luego de un ratito la Cajera me pregunta que necesito, y le dije, quiero devolver esto... ella dice: entonces espere!

Pero que le pasa?, yo ni habia hablado, estaba esperando!... fue ella que dejo de atender a los otros para hablarme y me manda a esperar conmo si yo hubiera interrumpido y molestado?

Dada la situacion dejo la bandeja con ese sándwich alli y me voy a mi mesa ofuscado con el trato.

No terminaba de llegar a la mesa y siento que me gritan: Sir! Sir! y yo caliente como estaba la ignore. Me sente en mi mesa y la Cajera a los gritos Sir! Sir!!! Sir!!!!

Le hago señas de que lo deje asi, que ya no queria hablar, ni reclamar, ni cambiar ni nada. Me sentia destratado luego de pagar $27 por un desayuno que no era lo que esperaba.

Yo me pregunto, a estas bestias maleducadas que tienen de Cajeras, en Panera Bread no las educan sobre el trato a los clientes?

Como creo que debio resolverse el problema? Pues la Cajera debio ir hasta MI mesa y preguntarme en que podia ayudarme, ya que yo le deje la bandeja con el sándwich y me fui.

Pero esta Sra. que por supuesto no hablaba espanol y con la que en mi mal ingles iba a ser dificil comunicarme me destrato.

A los Directores de Panera Bread: porque no contratan personas bilingues que hay miles, porqueno las educan en el trato a los clientes, porque no tienen protocolos de como resolver los problemas?

En fin, ese desayuno para mi fue solo un Cafe Latte... que a propoisto del tema, es pura agua, ni leche tiene!

Must have been a bad day. Usually quite good. Did come in an hour before closing. No bread (would not substitute baguette) for salads, out of tea drinks, order was for dine in but given to us to go containers. Salads were good and refreshing.

Absolutely outstanding. Ericka was so helpful and courteous. We had a bit of a wait so they threw in a chocolate croissant! All food was delicious. Pizza flatbread was fully sliced which made it easy for kids to eat in the backseat. 20/10 would stop there again to and from Vegas.

My sandwich and lrg. Drink used to cost me around $12, then it was $14. Now, I drove thru and the same sandwich and drink are $18 and change! Needless to say I wont be buying panera again unless they lower their price!

This is our nearest Panera and it’s generally fantastic! I have had a issues with my drive thru orders but usually we go inside and no issues at all. Clean environment and friendly staff!

The person working the counter vacated her post, to make coffee, as all 3 of the large coffee dispensers were empty, when I got here. There was nobody up front, for nearly 5 min., until another employee spotted me, standing at the counter, patiently waiting.

She then rang up my order, & told me they were making coffee, & it'd be ready in 5 minutes. The original person, then re-appeared, & asked the first of 3 people waiting for coffee, if that customer wanted dark roast coffee, since it had finished brewing. She grabbed this person's cup, & whirled toward the back.

I wanted dark roast coffee, as well, so I stated this, trying to save her another trip.

She turned back, then rudely yelled, "In a minute!" She then stalked to the back with 1 coffee cup.

She could've easily carried 2 cups to the back & filled them. It wasn't my fault that Panera Bread Barstow was out of all their coffee, at the same time.

I didn't appreciate how extremely rude the Panera counter worker was to me, either.

I got a Chocolate Croissant, along with my Dark Roast Coffee. The croissant was good, & my coffee tasted good, as well, after I finally got it.
The customer isn't always right, but they certainly aren't the enemy, either.

I ordered a turkey blt. I got a lettuce tomato and 2 slices of bacon no turkey sandwich. We waited in the drive thru 15 min at the window. It cost me 17 dollars and change for this a bag of chips and a small mango drink. The service at your drive through was horrible my order was wrong and it cost a small fortune. I will never go back and I'm sure the line of cars behind me probably feel the same way. The worst drive through service I ever had! I am totally disappointed! I hope you check your barstow, Ca location and fix it. Worst service ever! Shame on you!

I stop here on my way to and from Vegas every time.. I do not want to go to the McDonald's in Barstow where there are 2 million people trying to go the bathroom and sometimes sketchy people as well. Panera is hidden a bit but great that they are so clean, great food and clean bathroom with no wait. Breath of fresh air compared to the alternatives around there. Worth the prices (a little expensive). I always get the egg white with spinach, tomato, cheese and avocado sandwich on their Asiago bagel instead of the oat bagel. On the way back from Vegas it's a you-pick-2 with the half Mediterranean sandwich and tomato soup... Yum! Please don't spread the word I don't want the busses pulling up and ruining the paradise in Barstow lol
