Update (1-29-23): I came back to eat here again, and they were closed. They space was a sign with a number to call. This is whats on their site: Thank you for the continued support of Caffe Roma for the last 45 years. We are closing the current location in January, but we will continue serving our cherished patrons at our sister restaurant, Cafe Amici. -------From my original visit; Our server was excellent. He was very attentive. Bathrooms need some TLC. There is outdoor seating. Food was good even though I was hoping for better.

We had dinner at the Roma in Beverly Hills last night and it was excellent Italian food! 2 hours free parking is just a block up un N Canon Dr, additional time is $2.50/hour which is not bad for Beverly Hills. They have gas heaters for the folks sitting outside and the temperature inside the restaurant was ideal. Food was excellent, we had Pasta, Chicken and a pizza. While everything was really good, well certainly return for the Pizza, tastes just as one would expect it in Italy. Location is great! As it was a pleasant December evening we went for a short stroll over to Rodeo Drive which is less than 5 minutes walking distance to admire the X-Mas decorations and lights. Prices are decent considering the location. Once again, pizza was hands down the best Ive ever eaten in Los Angeles.

This restaurant falls into the average category for me. The lobster was disappointingly subpar. While the services were commendable, the food didnt live up to the overall dining experience. It lacks that spark, although it does succeed in filling you up.

Food is delicious. Last time I visited we waited outside for a while until someone came out. We didnt get bread, and they forgot the cheese for pasta, but still my favorite Italian. Don t be mislead by my rating system, realistic 5 star visits are rare and it isn t that this restaurant was bad I am just not a fan of inflated prices based solely on location. The fare was enjoyable although walking distance from Rodeo Drive, I expected a little more. Dining outside near the road deflected my focus away from the fact that I have had better food at half the price. Had this not been a birthday trip for my girlfriend, this review would have been a bit harsher. A bit more research could have possibly led us to a better venue but unfortunately, we were a little too close to hangry stages to continue that route. All in all, I do not regret the choice but I do not think I would return.

I came on a Tuesday and there was a salsa lesson in progress. The festive ambiance definitely was a good pairing to the drinks and food I had. The pizza was simply good. The lentil soup had a good balance between thin, tasty, and crunchy taste. The music got me to dance several songs.

Different quality every time. My husband loves this place so we go there quite often. I always eat the same two dishes: Linguine Carbonara or Tomato Mozzarella Panini. Let me tell you; they are Always different. (Different bread, incredients missing and so forth). Maybe it defends in which chef is there. Today I had Linguine Carbonara. First of all I got spaghetti. Last time there was parsley in it (as Im used to it from Italy). This time it was missing so I asked for it. THEY CHARGED ME $4 FOR EXTRA PARSLEY!!! Are they kidding me?! Insane..

2023: Been there many many times. Sadly, on yesterdays visit with friends, both services as food were mediocre at best. We were four - and while the waiter took the order for my wifes Aperol Spritz he did, for whatever reason, no drink order from the rest of us. Then, my friends entree came before her starter. His response was rather meh. I had the grilled Octopus, and the arugula was ... not eatable. As I said, we have been there many many times, and this was their weakest performance, I am afraid. Other than that, I can recommend the place. Make sure you check out their Happy Hour menu - good all Sunday :-) 2020: Went with a group of four - no reservation and got seated - as requested outdoors - right away. The food was delicious - in their price range (Pizza $22, bill for four $150 for entrees only, no alcoholic beverages) I did not expect to be charged for the bread - and would expect fresh parmesan cheese with the asparagus risotto at $24. However, the did not have the asparagus risotto on the menu, the waiter went out of his way to make her happy - and our friends (the wife of a huge German pop star) and her son really loved the place - and they have seen a lot of places. Food: five star Ambience: 4-5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Would I go again: absolutely. Would I do a 30+ min detour just to go? Maybe. The bread charge put me off a bit. To avoid any misunderstanding: I saw them charging $3 per during their happy hour. As they sell their food for VERY attractive prices at the bar/ lounge for happy hour, I totally understand that the bread is extra, just not in the restaurant at this price point.

I have been a customer of cafe roma for 30 year yes 30 years and today I went there, and first of all, the food is terrible and second the management is very unprofessional. After I complaint to the manager about the waitress, since she said we need to close out in the middle of having foo, because she was leaving and wanted a tip .I said please transfer to another waiter (as customary) and I will put more tip, she refused the manager said no you need to pay her tip and close out, new waiter is coming I had guests from overseas and she made me feel so embarrassed in front of them I closed out my bill and I told manager I won t come back ever again I am sure a lot of customers have noticed this terrible service of Cafe Roma and I really hope they change their behavior with customers I mentioned to the Manager I would write a review he said do as you please .after spending so much money the past 30 years I know Francisco, DJ Marco and never expected this from the management of Cafe Roma this is what the new management wanted for a $24 tip which I left and left immediately after.

My family used to go here a decent amount when I was younger. I had always loved it, decided to come back after having not gone in probably 15 years or so. The food overall was very solid, but the service was slightly slow. The pizza funny enough tasted just like I remembered it, in a good way. It did seem a bit empty, I dont know if it was just the time of day/week we chose to go, but it does feel like they need to invest a little into updating the place here and there. My wife was thinking itd be cool if they had like a little Italian market in the space, kind of like Bay Cities. Either way, looking forward to coming back again.

I rarely write these public reviews but I had such a devastating experience. The evening is cold for LA at this time of the year, and we just came out of the clinic exhausted, wanting to have some warm and decent food. After ordering one meatball spaghetti and one lasagna, we sat for almost 40 mins without any sign of food coming up. I asked, as politely as I could, when will these pasta arrive. The waitress went to check but didnt come back, thats when I realized they didnt place the order at all. I then talked to a man who dressed as manager, he quickly went into the back then told me the pasta shall arrive in 5 minutes. The pasta did arrive within 5 minutes, the only problem is, the spaghetti is so raw that I can hardly chew. I do my own cooking at home so I know the pasta must have been boiled for only 3 to 4 minutes. Its simply inedible. I told the manager we will not be eating our spaghetti. I paid for the rest of the food (which were also rarely touched), and left without making a scene. Its not worth the time to argue with liars. To those of you thinking of going to this place: dont.

Absolutely horrible experience. Had dinner with my boyfriend and the service was awful. As soon as we sat down it felt as if they were rushing us to leave. Our waiter was fine. Mediocre at best. However, when I asked a bus woman where the bathroom was at, she told us there wasn t one. I was suspicious of her honesty, considering the fact that she was hesitant when she gave me an answer. I asked another waiter and he guided me to the restroom. After our average meal, we told our main waiter of the incident and he apologized profusely. The manager came to the table and basically yelled at me, saying that there s a language barrier and that she probably didn t understand what I said. After explaining to him that I was very clear with what I asked, he scoffed and told me there was nothing he could do. Considering the fact that we were on vacation and not locals, this completely threw off our night and our entire trip. We will never give our business to this establishment again. You can honestly get the same quality food at Olive Garden.

I had a delightful time at this Beverly Hills restaurant with cuisine from Northern Italy. They have a large expansive internal courtyard for dining as well as expanded sidewalk seating. The tables were spaced far enough apart to be social distance compliant. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and without the Bev Hills attitude you find at some nearby restaurants. The food was authentic regional cuisine with many items on the menu. The pizza we chose for an appetizer was thin and delicious and was perfect for the four of us, as we each got two satisfying pieces. The lasagna was equally wonderful, as was the creme brulee for dessert. The red wine was full-bodied, albeit a bit pricey. One of the diners at our table ordered a whole fish and we were all relieved to see that one of the waitstaff took her time to debone and behead the fish, so all that remained on the plate he received were wonderful filet strips ready to be savored. Overall, Caffe Roma was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I highly recommend this casually upscale restaurant.

If I could give 0 Stars I would I put down a reservation on Monday before Valentines Day on Friday knowing that it will be super busy. I arrive 5 minutes before my reservation time, I then am told they cant find me on the list. Things happen I get it but to be told wait 5 to 10 minutes Ill get your table ready and then wait almost a half hour to be seated outside by the entrance. I know its California and it only hits 50 degrees but when the outdoor heater Runs Out before we are even given menu which took 20 minutes to receive. We almost leave our waitress finally comes and gives us menus me and my wife order drinks an appetizer and our entrees all at the same time. It took 30 minutes to receive our drinks on the next round I walked in the bar myself because our waitress had not come back yet. Took me 2 minutes to get the drink that took her 30 minutes. While I am at the bar my food and appetizer come out at the same time after almost an hour of waiting. My appetizer was cold most likely sitting on the counter for some time. Our food was lukewarm and rushed . The presentation was awful. It looked like I went to the store and bought hamburger helper. Yet I walked out leaving spending $150. The best part is when the person in front of us when we arrived when we finally got seated and received our menus they were already done eating and leaving the restaurant. If you want a bad service and mediocre food this is your place. If you want great service and great food go down the street to Da Pasquale and dont waste your time.
