I visited this restaurant for the second time and fell in love with its incredibly delicious cuisine. pasta with porcini mushrooms, octopus carpaccio is simply incredible. everything we ordered was the best. atmosphere as in family Italian restaurants. the service was good but the assistant waiters brought us the wrong dishes. in general, I am very satisfied, I will definitely come back

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve eaten at, in the heart of Beverly Hills. We started by sharing a plate of meatballs as an appetizer (as we saw them on every table), and it was worth it! The tomato sauce was delicious and fresh. The meatballs melted in my mouth. And the fresh bread (offered) was a perfect addition to clean the plate from the tomato sauce!
I had the Lobster Ravioli, which was very fine and delicate. The pasta tasted fresh, and the lobster with spicy tomato sauce was a lovely pairing. It was a little light on the portion (luckily, we got the bread and could ask for more). Overall, it is a delicious entrée. My friend had the penne with langoustine but wasn’t overly impressed. The penne was hard, and the langoustine didn’t seem seasoned. The sauce was very liquid, and there was too much of it. For about $45 for each of our pasta dishes, it felt a bit much.
I had the Mille Foglie for dessert, and my friend had the tiramisu. They were $18 each, which is a bit much for dessert, but they were both delicious.
The service was excellent. The servers were very attentive and welcoming. The location is small but beautiful. We decided to eat outside as the weather was nice enough. It’s nicely secluded/hidden from the main street, which adds privacy.
All in all, we paid $110 each for a two-course meal and a half (since we shared the appetizer). We had a bottle of sparkling water and no alcohol. It's a bit pricey but quite typical for LA and especially for Beverly Hills and so close to Rodeo Drive. I had a lovely experience and would definitely eat there again!

Average Italian food and so overpriced! To give you an example, pasta with tomato is $40, this is completely ridiculous! If you want to eat good Italian food in Beverly Hills go to Dante, Jon & Vinny’s or Via Alloro. Not to mention the service is so bad… we arrived at 7.45 with reservation, no one said hello to us until 5 min later, then we waited 40 min for a table, they sat 2 couples that arrived AFTER us, and we finally order at almost 9 pm. Also when we left no one replied to us when we said goodbye, the servers just looked at us… if they want to price their restaurant like a fancy one, at least they should have a decent and elegant service, and a nice atmosphere. This restaurant is tragedy seriously. But, I cannot not mention the lady at the bar in the lounge, she was super nice, happy she was there to enhance the overall experience

I NEVER write reviews, but this experience was so out of the ordinary, especially in what is supposed to be a high-end restaurant, that I wanted to warn prospective customers. Our dinner reservation was at 6:30 (we arrived on time), and we were not served our entrees until 9:15, almost THREE hours later. Perhaps it should have been a warning sign that our drinks order was not taken until 30 minutes in. Our dinner order was taken about an hour in, and arrived at about 1.5 hours in. We had a lovely waiter who felt terrible, but he was not able to help us, and we were offered NOTHING in the interim until about 2 hours in, when we were offered a free glass of wine. We were about to get up and leave when our entrees finally arrived, and one of the dishes was not what was ordered (we ate it anyway, as we did not have another 3 hours to spare). And the food was, at best, fine - certainly not worth the long wait. At the end of the day they did not charge us for the appetizers, but the right thing to do would have been not to charge us at all, especially as all the tables around us (including people who arrived after us), were being served before we were. Clearly something went wrong with the expediting in the kitchen, but the chef/owner was completely indifferent to the problem and in no rush to fix it, and not apologetic, which is really the thing I found most offensive. If we had at least gotten an apology, I would not be writing this, but it was so clear that the chef/owner simply did not care (we could see our waiter talking to him from our table). I have been fortunate to have eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world, and in many high-end restaurants in Los Angeles, and I have never had an experience remotely like this. Sure, once in a rare while things go wrong, but it's what the restaurant does to solve the problem that makes the difference, and this was an epic FAIL.

A really delicious dinner, although not as good as the original location in northwest Santa Monica near the PCH. That location being Giorgio Baldi. This is the Beverly Hills and smaller location. Tonight was a very tasty dinner, although for the price I would recommend going to their original location in Santa Monica. Tonight I started with the Beef Carpaccio, which was very good, although not as good as the other location. For my entrée, I chose the Veal Tortellini in Veal Broth, and it was actually very good, albeit a small portion.
The Positives: the food quality and the taste are top-notch. They also have a lot of great options on the menu and our server, as well as rest of the staff we encountered, we’re all very polite. I also really like the atmosphere of this place, it’s classy and casual at the same time.
The Negatives: it is overly pricey, I am sure due to the cost of the rent being in this part of Beverly Hills. Each of the dishes could definitely be less expensive, also the portion sizes are not very large. The Beef Carpaccio @ Giorgio Baldi is one of the best I have ever had, but this version at e Baldi wasn’t nearly as delicious. The restaurant is also very small on the inside, so the tables are very close together. Conversations between tables easily overlap and moving around in the restaurant feels kind of like you’re inside an airplane. Also, there is a 10% service charge on top of all bills due to it being located in Beverly Hills, which is definitely a negative. Finally parking in this area is not the easiest. We were able to find metered parking a block away, but if that’s not possible your options will be valet parking for $12 or a paid lot close by.
Overall a nice dinner, but I would recommend going to their original location instead.

Unfortunately I am writing this review based on the lackadaisical approach of the ownership to both the quality of the food and the mediocre decor of this restaurant. The food is significantly overpriced for the quality of the food, especially when considering the decor is so cheap. Unfortunately the ownership has made absolutely no effort whatsoever on the interiors. It feels like sitting in a cheap airport lounge diner.
Significantly overhyped

Served me an overcooked branzino totally mushy, not grilled as ordered. Asked to return it and do it over. The waiter literally yelled at me arguing non stop saying it was good!! rather frightening an impolite attitude. Would have left if my husband was not eating his meal.
Waiter finally asked me if I wanted something else. I chose the langoustines (really sampis) at $75.00 for 6 small ones. Outrageous.
The cook is not an Italian cook. He has no idea what is Italian food. The prices have no reason to be so high for such mediocre food and frightening waiters.

This has been one of my favorite Italian restaurants for years, but perhaps it’s because of their popularity or because they are simply took busy, but the quality of the service and the food has become inconsistent.
On my most recent visit, the service was very slow and inattentive and one of the entrees was very poor. We informed the server who curtly apologized but was too busy to pay any real attention. We reached out to management and received no response.
On the visit before that, the service was good but again one of the dishes was not something we wanted to eat. At least that server took notice and seemed to be concerned.
With inflation and the extremely high cost of dining out the service and food should be consistent and good, at least most of the time. E Baldi is very expensive but has gained a significant following of affluent customers so perhaps they don’t care?

Fine dining at its finest. Compliments to the chef , everything is made with love and had such great taste. I had the meatballs to start , melted in your mouth and made to a perfection. The tomato sauce so light and flavorful. Then I had the sweet corn agnolotti (mascarpone) with the truffle butter. You have to do the scarpetta with the bread. Of course the bread is fresh and they give you a classic and whole grain bread in each basket. And to conclude the small meal, I had a nice chocolate mousse. Homemade whip cream and fluffiness of the chocolate mixed with the raspberry jam at the bottom. Indescribable. 10 out of 5! I could eat everything on the menu ! Service is excellent and the waiters are great characters as well.

Beware this Tourist trap. Fancy prices. Ordinary ambiance. Less than average food quality. Skimpy orders. Had pasta with langostinos. Received a plate of overcooked pasta and one very little langostino cut in half. Hardly 2 bites. The main courses were brought to our table literally as the first course dishes were being cleared from the table. Bread put on table with no olive oil and no butter. We asked for oil and balsamic- and we were charged $5 for a thimbleful of balsamic. Very ordinary food. Not an enjoyable dining experience. Not recommended.

One of the restaurants with best Italian food in LA. (Way better is the restaurant il Segreto in Bel-air) But here’s the issue: Waiter extremely rude, and service is unprofessional. Not like another Beverly Hills restaurant where you will be treated well. After visiting this place more than 15 times, I am not coming back again as the waiter doesn’t pay attention to our table, makes us wait 2 hours for food and never EVER agrees to apologize when one of our guests gets a bland & tasteless Japanese sea-bass. Pastas are good, appetizers are good, Dover sole is good, but meat and all other fish dishes are really bad. Overall 2 stars. The service and attitude from the bald waiter specifically is horrendous. We shared this experience with all other tables around us this night. I guess I’ll have to drive down to g.baldi to have my Pecorino Shiitake appetizer from now on, as I’m never returning here. If you know that your standards of an overall restaurant experience are high, don’t come here.

Ordered a pickup diner for my boyfriend's birthday. This is not a cheap place so it should be first rate. As expected it was all good. The two deserts were excellent. I had the agnoletti with butter. Very good but very rich and not enough. They could be a little more generous with the pasta portions. The lamb chops were done exactly as ordered and tasty. The vegetable sides good and beware the calamari is not what you would expect. At first I was disappointed it had no breading. I have always had breading on fried calamari. Once I put the very yummy but too oily sauce on it , it was superb. I hope the sauce was meant to go on it. I was not sure but it was just what it needed. If you want to have a nice diner in Beverly Hills go to E Baldi's. I will wait to eat there. The cost for take out is hard to justify.

My #1 spot in Beverly Hills! I feel like I can eat healthy Italian there because it’s not just a lot of pasta like other Italian restaurants... they have so many options to choose from and really good seasonal specials... some of my favs are the octopus carpaccio, the langostino salad, the polenta with mushrooms sauce, the branzino is simple and perfect, the very unique dish is a heart of palm served warm with butter and lemon sauce... it’s so delicate and makes you feel a little like you’re having pasta but it’s almost carb free (I think) at the end we can’t leave without having the boudino butterscotch pudding which is served in a little cup with a tiny spoon and it’s to die for!

Four of us reserved a table with great expectations!
Our enthusiasm was shattered with the most awful and outrageous experience I have encountered in a restaurant in over forty years!
The food came out uncooked for two people, one other was the cause of a stomach upset and my food didn’t appear until 9 minutes after everyone else’s
The two with uncooked food sent it back only to receive it back still uncooked!
We asked to speak to a manager or owner but were told that the chef was both owner and manager and unable to leave the kitchen to speak with us.
Upon trying to negotiate the bill amount we were threatened that the police would be called if we did not pay what was asked. They did in fact call the police who appeared
We were made to pay even having left most items on our plates uneaten!
In addition a tip of $53.66 was added without authorization.
If you desire uneatable food and extortion and fraud......this is the restaurant that offers it!!
Bon Appitete!!

HARRASED BY A WAITER!!!!!!! (Named Eve)
Last night me and my sons (ages 4 and 7) attempted to have a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The service was slow but it’s not something I’d complain about as I was not in a rush. I ordered pumpkin ravioli and pizza for starters and my kids wanted to repeat it so I asked the waiter to repeat our order, making sure, yet again, there is no truffle oil - i am allergic. The waiter brought a different kind of ravioli and it had truffle oil. I start swelling just by smelling it close to me, so I asked to remove it and bring me the right order. Eve, the waiter was extremely pushy for us to keep it, otherwise he’d have to pay for it. He leaned towards our table and full on bullied us for this choice, not removing the meal for over 5 minutes and making my 7 year old have a pannic attack because he didn’t know how to protect mommy. His manner was so aggressive - I have NEVER been treated like this by any man and I was scared to leave the restaurant and bot be in public anymore because he seemed unpredictible. I complained and told about it to several workers, concidered calling the police but my child was in pannic and I was in shock. We waited for 1 hour till the waiters decided to bring the check (yes, they brought the check and there was no apology from either the manager or the abusive waiter). Today I feel much stronger and I will do my best to spread the word because no woman should be treated like this.

I recently celebrated my birthday at E. Baldi with a group of friends. Our service was excellent. The pizza & pasta was sooo delicious. I recommend this place to anyone who loves true Italian cooking.

Absolutely waste of time and money. The food tasted like plastic. The restaurant service and chef were disrespectful. If you want to have a good time make sure you get as far away as you can from this subzero quality scam!

If you want to treat yourself, the food is excellent, but the price is very high.
