The food is excellent. A slightly different take on the traditional pasta dishes. Pasta was perfectly al dente with very delicious sauce. The pizza was ultra thin and tasty. Shaved zucchini salad, and gem lettuce were very different and yummy.
Only complaint is, the tiramisu had too much coffee for my taste.
Overall the food was awesome.
The reason for 4 stars is the portions are very small for the amount they charge and the 18% service fee etc.

I absolutely love the minimalist ambiance of this restaurant. The food is not only beautifully presented but also delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed with the portion sizes, both for the food and wine, considering the price. On the bright side, the customer service was exceptional. Our server was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel like valued guests. Overall, despite the small portions, this restaurant offers a great dining experience with its stylish atmosphere and tasty dishes.

This place is horrible. Two of our pasta dishes were undercooked. The calamari was overcooked. One of our appetizers was described by the waiter to have canned tuna. The pizza was decent.
We were promised to receive some cookies because they ran out of a few desserts. The server forgot and when we reminded him, he brought us two tiny pieces for our party of 4. There is a steep service charge and you have to pack your own leftovers. So what is the service charge for if there is no service.
I don't plan on ever coming back to this location ever again.

This is a review for takeout: It pains me to write a negative review on Jon & Vinny’s. I’ve always liked coming in to the restaurant and enjoying the delicious pasta. I even went out of the way to recommend this place to my office today. Unfortunately it was a disappointment and my coworkers were displeased.
Over $20 for what looked like a kids portion of food (and I think most kids could eat more). We were all still hungry afterward. The pasta itself tasted decent. It’s obviously better when you eat at the restaurant, but definitely doesn’t justify the price… especially since it’s just pasta and sauce with no meat (which you can’t add).
I will never order takeout from Jon & Vinny’s again. I’ll only eat at the restaurant, and even then I’ve had better for a much more reasonable price. Willing to speak to owner/manager should they reach out.

I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We ordered a pizza and a house salad, but the pizza arrived fully burned and inedible. The house salad was bland and lacked any memorable flavor—it was just a pile of greens with nothing special about it.
When I brought the issue with the charred pizza to the server’s attention, he seemed completely uninterested and didn’t offer any sort of solution or apology. The lack of care and customer service was frustrating, to say the least.
Overall, I was left feeling let down by both the food quality and the service. I wouldn’t recommend this place, given the options available in the area that actually value their customers and pay attention to the dishes they serve.

Incredibly rude and arrogant wait staff. Will never spend money at this establishment again. You should have better internal communication and respectful/kind staff, especially for paying customers. Do better and get over yourselves.
We went there today for a special birthday breakfast. We were told breakfast was still an option. We were seated and the waitress took our drink order. Then we had to chase her down after waiting for about 15 minutes telling her we were ready to order. She proceeded to tell us breakfast wasn't available and did anyone tell us about last call. Isn't that your job? She was incredibly rude and arrogant. Proceeded to get the manager (who was nice and tried to explain the mistake). Basically, we were told we can't have breakfast. We would have let the mistake go if the waitress wasn't so incredibly rude. Oh, and we never got the iced coffee drink we ordered...apparently the order was never put in.

Everything we had was phenomenal. Started with the heirloom tomato bruschetta, the bread was not too thick had a perfect toasted crunch to hold the tomatoes. Sauce was nicely flavored, and pasta al dente. Finished dinner with tiramisu and a cappuccino. The tiramisu was nice and light with good coffee flavor. The cappuccino had perfectly steamed milk with the proper thickness of the foam. Was great for dipping biscoff and held its form.
Wait staff was very friendly and had helpful suggestions.

Jon & Vinny's has lost my business forever. Their mandatory 18% service charge is outrageous. It's not a tip, and they expect customers to pay this on top of already high prices, effectively shaming customers into paying nearly 40% (!) when adding a standard 20% tip.
Quite frankly, it's disgusting that the owners try to justify this by claiming they're supporting their workers. In 2023, their ex-workers filed a class action lawsuit against them, alleging that the service charge misleads customers into thinking it's a tip, depriving servers of their deserved compensation.
It's appalling that such a successful restaurant group exploits customers with hidden fees while smaller, family-run businesses manage to pay fair wages without resorting to such tactics.

Avoid!!! Jon and Vinny's is honestly trash. Mediocre food, tiny portions. They also have hidden junk fees where they charge a surprise 18% thats controlled by the restaurant, then state its not a tip and ask for more tip. The owner is a scumbag, likely picked this trick up from the mortgage industry or had done used car sales in the past. Honestly don't get what the hype is, there are plenty of places that have better food and don't do predatory business practices.

So I ate there for the 1st time but I already ordered several times there and I must admit that I love their pasta.
Whatever, i was really surprised when I receive the check. They charge a 18% service charge, asking you to tip on top of that. They serve you a full laius about increasing the revenue of their employees,... i asked our server what was her hourly wage (the minumum is $16.78 here in LA), and if she was really embarassed and did not want to answer. I just asked then the same question to the manager, same answer and seemed really embarassed telling me that it was different for every employee. I asked her specifically for our waiter, and asked if she was paid more than $17 per hour, same embarrassment and she did not want to answer. So my understanding is that the restaurant is keeping a big part of these 18% and serve you an hypocritical speech about their employees wellness.
On top of that, my wife, who ordered a salad, asked for some vinegar and balsamic as the seasoning was not at her taste, there was no seasoning at all in her salad in fact, and they charged an extra $2 for the balsamic and $2,50 for the olive oil!!! I never saw that before!!!!!!

I was shocked after eating there recently when I actually looked at my bill (which most people don't do), only to find an 18% "Service Fee" automatically charged. Then, when it is time to sign, they don't can't mention that the service fee was already included and ask you to fill in for a tip. Thus, you end up "double tipping!" That is such a scam. I thought that they only do this in Miami. This is nutz!

Then, they tell me they cannot guarantee how long it takes to get a table........Well, if that's the case, don't tell me to wait 15 minutes and then another 30 minutes. First time there as it was for my staff's birthday and she chose this restraunt. We ordered and the place was almost empty at lunch time. The three of us ordered pizza, ravioli, and salad. The salad and ravioli was brought out for my 2 staff while I waited an extra 10 minutes for my pizza. After 5 minutes we asked where the pizza was and the waitress said the food comes to the table when it's ready so the meals don't come out together. Pizza cookies in minutes, it takes minutes to prepare a salad, and the ravioli cooks fast also. The worst part was that when the person who ordered the ravioli asked for some grated parmesan cheese, the waitress said it had an extra charge, they don't grate it on the pasta for free. Lastly, they do add an 18% service fee then you still tip. These 3 things will keep me from ever going back there. Food was good, but not worth the nickle and diming that they hit you with.

Jon and Vinny’s is a great spot to head for dinner with friends. The menu is well designed for starting so you can taste a bunch of different things - and that we did. The pizza crust is light and fluffy with a good crunch and the pasta is very well seasoned with some nice unique flavours.
They have a great selection of natural wines - one of the waiters was knowledgeable but unfortunately one of the servers wasn’t as in the ball and needed to get verification on our questions quite a few times.

Jon & Vinny’s one of best restaurants in Los Angeles, specially in Beverly Hills area.
Selection of different type of pizzas with a unique way of cooking.
Their Ceaser Salad "Gem Lettuce" is one of the best salads in LA.
The lettuce itself is always perfectly crisp, the Calabrian dressing has a major kick of heat to it, and the bread crumbs on top provide even more of a crunch.
Pasta is the most famous plate of pasta in LA and probably the reason you got hooked on Jon & Vinny’s.

Decent food, though small portions, and a little overpriced, especially with the 18% service fee that forces us to help pay for staff’s base wages, which the restaurant should be doing. With the exception of a lady at the wine bar, service was pretty bad. We were brought a dessert that we didn’t order thinking it was on the house only for the waiter to come back and take it away (we didn’t touch it). He then returned and just said “You have to keep it.” The check was dropped on us while we were still eating.
Our table was very cramped for 6 people.

The employees are clueless when it comes to service and super careless towards kids. My appetizer and food came out while my child never got her order. The waiter was careless and flirting with a client. Even with escalating the concerns with other issues to management, matter got worse instead of rushing to bring the food - they prepared to go go making assumptions they were late so they figured to put it to go- my child still hungry. The employees seemed like they were high on some kind of slow motion. I can’t believe I spend my money here. When we ordered sparking water, I asked for cups, the waiter goes you needs a cup ?! She was assuming I should poor my water cup somewhere and use the same cup that’s filled with water. My food and appetizer tasted good, but I will never go this location. As I was leaving, two other people were chatting and sharing how they also felt the service is terrible. I was hesitant to write this review but can’t stand this kind of tolerance.

This is absolutely one of the best modern Italian food experiences you can have in LA.
Every single dish we had was nothing short of phenomenal.
Starting off with the gem lettuce, Calabrian chili dressing, and bread crumb salad - every bite was perfectly dressed and the chili dressing added a surprising, but delicious kick to it. The bread crumbs added another layer to the dish that made the texture so much more enjoyable.
Marinara Braised Meatballs, Ricotta, Garlic Bread - quite possibly the best meatballs I’ve had in my life. The tender juiciness and hearty flavor of these meatballs won me over immediately. The marinara sauce mixed with ricotta on each bite with the meatball was a delicious combination. The garlic bread was a great addition to this plate. A little bit on the buttery side so you had to eat this pretty fast, but I still very much enjoyed it.
Brooklyn Dodger & Roman Gladiator - both these pizzas were fantastic, but one definitely outshined the other and that was the Roman Gladiator. The meat medley of bacon, fennel sausage, pepperoni, and smoked ham with caciocavallo cheese was absolutely bursting with flavor in all the best ways. My only critique is that I wish the bottoms of the pizza were cooked a little more so that the slice didn’t flop as much, but it was still manageable.
Spicy Fusilli & Spaghetti Limone - *WARNING: HOT TAKE* - the spicy fusilli was good, but it was nothing to write home about. I know it’s the crowd favorite and I had some high expectations, but if I’m being honest, the spaghetti limone was much better. The spicy fusilli seemed very basic to me, just like a regular vodka sauce dish where nothing really blew my socks off. The spaghetti limone had such a subtle creamy lemon flavor and texture to it where the noodles were also cooked perfectly. Again, the bread crumbs added a much appreciated layer to the pasta that gave it a very pleasing texture.
Ricotta, Orange Blossom Honey, Sesame Seeds - this is a perfect dish if you need a savory break to enjoy something light and subtly sweet. I loved the airy, but perfectly toasted bread with the cold ricotta and orange blossom honey. I like to save my sweeter dishes for the end of a dinner and this was THE perfect final dish to enjoy after all the savory, saucy madness
Overall amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will absolutely be back in the near future

Service was so-so average. Food was just ok until our headaches and sleepiness kicked in ( too many processed ingredients ). The WORSE PART: they forcefully charge 18% service for the patron to “pay our staff an ‘equitable’ wage” and this really translates to fatten up our profits and bottom line …. THEN, still “insist” on you also tipping graciously. It only took a NY minute to figure out this is none other than pizza highway robbery. $62 for 2 mediocre and tiny pizzas + 2 small beers. Shame on Jon and Vinny. They got too big for their own good.

I visited this location with a reservation for a party of 4 on December 29th. Our service was good! The server was pleasant and personable. All of our food was delicious! I ordered the Wood Grilled Chicken, and it was perfect! I couldn’t finish it, so I asked the busboy that was clearing our table for a takeout container. He took my plate, and I thought he would pack up my leftovers for me to take home. Unfortunately he didn’t understand my request and cleared my plate away to clean. Our server apologized for this, and management approved another order of the Grilled Chicken on the house. I appreciated this, and I would definitely revisit this location.
