I truly loved my experience at Cantina Frida. The service was excellent with even the manager stopping by the table to ensure we were having a good experience. The margaritas were some of the best I ever had and the food was yummy and high quality. The restaurant is large, beautiful and clean. Overall, had a lovely time and can’t wait to come back!

Hi,
First i had a dinner and was so satisfied with the food, service and atmosphere. So we decided to make a big organisation for a after wedding and birthday. We were around 20, everybody was so happy with the food and service. The team did their best. Generally if you are a big party somebody waits for dinner, drink. They are not served at the same time, but we did not have this kind of experince. Thanks to all team. Definetely see you again.
Try their coctails, taco plate. Soo good.
Of course there is extra charge for being a party and cake service, but it is fair compare to the service and food quality. For the parking you can use public parking with a reasonable price, it is quite close to the restautant.

A Margarita Masterpiece and Tableside Guac That WOWed Us! 🍹🥑

Cantina Frida in Beverly Hills is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere of this beautifully appointed venue. It's spacious yet cozy, making it perfect for a relaxing meal or a fun night out.

The service? Outstanding! We were seated quickly, and our server was the definition of attentive—always there at just the right moment to ensure everything was perfect.

Now, let’s talk drinks: my wife started with a Berry Margarita, which she declared as her new favorite, while I went with the Cadillac Margarita—let me tell you, it was AMAZING. Perfectly balanced, just the right kick, and utterly refreshing.

The tableside guacamole? WOW! Watching it being made fresh right at our table was a treat, and the flavors were on point—creamy, zesty, and downright irresistible. It paired perfectly with their chips (which were, of course, equally fresh and delicious).

We also tried their Chicken Tortilla Soup, and it was made to absolute perfection. The depth of flavor in the broth and the tender chicken pieces made it a standout dish.

From the warm greeting at the door to the delightful drinks, flavorful food, and impeccable service, Cantina Frida exceeded our expectations in every way. This spot is a MUST-TRY, and we’ll definitely be back for another round of those margaritas and guac!

We ordered the tableside guacamole, which came with two sauces: red salsa and green salsa. Both were delicious, and the guacamole was generously portioned, enough to serve 3-4 people.

We requested hot sauce, which came with an additional charge of $3, but it was absolutely worth it—super delicious and super hot as its supposed to be!

We also ordered the vegetarian fajitas, which weren’t on the menu, but they accommodated our customization. The vegetables were cooked to perfection.

Finally, we had the Tres Leches for dessert, and it was fantastic!

Amazing place!!
I enjoyed this place so much that I came 2 days in a row.
I came to Beverly Hills for business and really wanted some Mexican food , especially a Michelada. I asked Google and found Cantina Frida it was definitely a great recommendation.
The first day, a Ceviche, that recipe was really delicious, and of course a michelada or 2 lol.
The second day, I had a delicious tortilla soup and another michelada. The atmosphere is really nice. Seating indoors and alfresco.
Everyone is super friendly.
Next time I'm in town, I will definitely come back to visit my new friends from Cantina Frida.
Hope you enjoy the pictures. Please follow me if you find it helpful.
Every time I am in town, I come back to try new dishes and drink. Never disappoint me

I used to be a fan but not anymore. The food quality has gone way down. We had a molcohete, tacos, aquacule, and carnitas. The carnitas were horrible mostly fat and bone. The hostess asked us how everything was and this was pointed out and her response was that they were trying a new recipe. My mushroom tacos were so spicy HOT that they were almost inedible. The hostess said that that is just how they were made and next time to ask for a less spicy version (I love spicy food but the level of heat was insane). Nobody in our party of 4 were able to finish their meals. Given that we all love spicy food this says a lot. That the hostess knew that there were problems she should have made some sort of concession. It’s sad for this restaurant to have gone downhill since it used to be a favorite place. Do yourself a favor and try some other mexican restaurant, our city is full of better alternatives.

The guacamole was good. Everything else was a mess (fish tacos were not cooked, nachos and queso were inedible). Server was REALLY absent. I’m not faulting the others delivering food to our table because they were doing their jobs. We finally had to ask the person busing our table to go retrieve the server after we sat there watching them fold napkins through the glass in the kitchen for 15-20 minutes after we had finished eating.

Nice place, food wasn’t great except for the Arrachera Quesataco which was absolutely delicious. In hindsight I would have gotten 5 of those for my husband and I to split, and some margaritas which were good. Tableside guac was also pretty good.

What we had that we didn’t enjoy: Healthy Bowl (not very fresh) Ceviche de Pescado (huge huge portion and very fresh, but not very flavorful just OK).

Visiting LA for work. I was recommended here. I ordered street corn off the cob, pork belly & battered fish tacos. Took too long to get to my table after which was barely luke warm, pale and underwhelming. The manager was however so gracious and offered something else but I had no desire. Bottom Line!!!! - Cook & serve it with passion because it is an extraordinary art & privilege people pay to experience when we sit at your table

Very poor service including the manager. We were sat, the waiter came over, took our drink order and we ordered guacamole. The guacamole came out within 10 minutes but not our drinks. We couldn't wait and started on the guacamole. 20 minutes goes by with no drinks and the waiter never came by after the guacamole to even see if we wanted to order dinner. We get the busboy to get the waiter and ask about our drinks and say that after 20 minutes we should get the drinks for free and even pointed to the bar which there was one bartender just chatting with guests and the other was working. He leaves and another 10 minutes goes by and no drinks. I went to the front and asked for the manager. I told him about the situation, as it was now 30 minutes. He went to the bar, spoke to the waiter at the bar and never spoke to us about it. He just walked right by our table after without even saying he handled it, no "I'm sorry," he just walked past the table. When the waiter finally came with our drinks, he did not say sorry or anything to address it. He drops the drinks off and we had to stop him from leaving the table because we wanted to order dinner. At the end, he said they would take care of our desert, but never a sorry and the manager who is supposed to be the team leader never offered an apology or even a visit to our table to see how everything else was after. It's the lack of caring. That's the disappointment. They just didn't care!

This is Enchiladas Suizas (to go) for about $30 w/tax. Smallest enchiladas I’ve ever been served. Skimpy and gross. Corn tortillas, not flour as the hostess said. The tomatillo sauce was watered down, made the tortillas soggy/mushy. The beans were bland, like from a canned bargain brand. I make better at home, and I’m a gringo. Didn’t finish it and tossed it in the trash. Bleh. Overpriced and barfy.

Was recommended to come here by another margarita lover and guacamole lover... I'm a sucker for a great margarita and guac. The ingredients were fresh and the guacamole was big, but idk it was just lacking flavor. I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to this combo, the margarita was ok. It’s one of those visits where you have good service, and everything is edible, but I just left feeling dissatisfied. Especially after paying $46 not including tip. That’s one margarita and one guacamole and chips. I just don’t understand how a place can charge these prices and be sooo subpar. I’ll gladly spend that and more for GOOD food, but this wasn’t it. Service was less than great as well. It took over an hour just to get my drink and appetizers so needless to say I didn’t stay to meet my friend for dinner. We left to Mastros.

We sat on inside by the outside open window area. The soup was a really big bowl, shredded chicken, flavorful and hearty! The chicken taco was bigger than expected and she enjoyed it!! The Berry margarita fruit wasn’t sweet and was okay, not great. Our table did not have place seatings & after food delivered my wife went to another table to get napkins. The server was friendly. The kitchen was on the side of dining room behind glass panels we thought was interesting. The restrooms were upstairs and not ADA friendly that we saw other alternatives.

Decided for some Mexican food while in Beverily Hills and came across Vantina Frida an upscale Mexican Restaurant with a good selection of Tequilas. We started with the guacamole which was outstanding followed by Nachos which were not a fan favorite. Found the chips which may be homemade had lost crunch and many were on the chewy side. The cheese mix was not great either. Shared a variety of tacos burritos and a Mole Chicken all were great. The Fish Tacos surprisingly won the Taco top approval rating from the four of us.

Would recommend next time you are in the area.

Owner was the most rude individual I have ever interacted with at a restaurant ever. It’s clear that he is only trying to scam his customers in every capacity possible. He added a SIXTY dollar charge for us having a stroller for an infant without telling us and then he called the police when we told him we were not informed of the charge beforehand. A real loser, he began to record our family and escalate the situation. When the police came he finally waved the fee, but I would NEVER EVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

** EDIT : I would like to add after reading this restaurant's response that the behavior of the owner was so unbelievably rude to this young mother and our family that several people left the establishment in protest at the time we were there. The police were able to convince you to remove the charge, but regardless customers should be aware that if you have a stroller-- even if the restaurant has NO customers in that vicinity ( as there was nobody sitting next to our table when the stroller was moved for this mother to briefly put her baby to sleep ) -- that you will expect an extra 20% fee. If this place is trying to say that add an extra 20% service on top of the automatic gratiuty and then disguise it as a discount (which is what the charge was marked as) then that is a dishonest business practice and unbelievably misleading and confusing.

Oh and let’s not forget the charge is listed as a “discount,” but it is added to the total bill.

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. The amount of disrespect the owner had shown to us today was baffling. He wanted to charge us $57 for having our stroller next to us at our table!!! Hi we just had an encounter at Cantina Frida in Bevery Hills where the restaurant owner wanted to charge us $57 for having a stroller with us. I've posted a video below and showing the owner along with a picture of the receipt. He said that the restaurant policy is no strollers but when we were rated they say us somewhere to accommodate the stroller. After asking for the bill, there was a line showing $57 discount buy was actually taking the bill from $143 to $200. Picture of receipt and man stating to be the owner. It wasn't until BHPD came that the owner decided to remove the stroller charge once he saw he was losing lots of business from people leaving due to the scene in the restaurant. .

I've been coming here for years, but after this I will no longer be coming here nor will I ever recommend them as they're DISCRIMINATING AGAINST CHILDREN!

It was a perfect lunch time meal although I would have enjoyed it even more for dinner time considering I could have had a few Tequila’s..
The experience was to the point and the food was delicious.. the flavors in the tacos were point on.. The little show while making guacamole at the table size is a good idea.. the portion sizes are generous.
