Mulberry Street Pizzeria

For the longest time, Mulberry Street pizzeria at any of their locations was my go-to spot when I wanted, no needed a slice of real New York City cheese pizza. I have a separate stomach, just for cheese slices, and often even after having a full dinner elsewhere will find myself having a New York City slice as dessert. (Daily exercise makes all this possible)

So we came to this location of Mulberry Street pizzeria after a very fancy dinner nearby. It wasn't crowded within a minute. I'd ordered a slice of pizza and was sitting at the counter. A couple of minutes later the pizza was delivered to me on the signature paper plate and I happily ate it. Relative to other Mulberry Street slices I've had at other locations. This one was maybe a tick down… The cheese and sauce were right, but the crust, especially around the rim was not quite up to par – thinner than it should have been (on the rim) it still did the job as a pizza slice should, but in the increasingly competitive authentic New York City style pizza scene in Los Angeles, Mulberry, especially after this particular slice has some fierce competition that is a bit higher up the ladder for me. That having been said if they opened a location where I live in Santa Clarita I'm quite sure half of my child's college fund will go to it. So thank you, Mulberry Street, for the many years, so far, of deliciousness and New York City slice authenticity.

Great customer service and even better tasting food. We ordered out two large pepperoni pizzas with two large Caesar salads and the delicious garlic butter bread. The food did not disappoint but if anything I recommend eating there if possible. It does have a small eating area inside which is why we had to order out since we would have been a big party and wouldn’t all been able to fit. Worth checking them out.

This place is wonderful! A perfect place for a New York pie on the West Coast. Phenomenal pizza, fun NY style environment, and great service! Will 100% be back again. Loved it!

Pizza that makes you say WOW. MAMA MIA!!!!! The pizza tastes amazing, a great size and texture even down to the crust. The marinara sauce tastes great. We also had the garlic knotts that were also delicious. The service was even better. Thank you Mulberry for a great lunch. We will return.

This place is really yummy! They sell pizza by the slice, which allows for lots of variety. I ordered two different slices and they were both delicious. My friends come here all the time and 100% recommend it. It looks like a cute pizzeria, so it nails the theme!

Wow, pizza is delicious, service not that great, people seem grumpy and dismissive. I tried the chicken ranch, rigatoni and fresh spinach white pizza! All were tasty but rigatoni was my fav. It’s a nice quiet evening vibe! Thank you!

I SUGGEST PLACE ORDER ACCORDING TO THE MENUS FROM KITCHEN BUT NOT SHOWCASE. SIT INSIDE HAD OLD TOWN HOLLYWOOD ATMOSPHERE, SIT OUTSIDE HAD BEVERLY HILL HIGH PITCH ATMOSPHERE. DON'T EXPECT SERVICE, THEY ARE PRICING AND PIZZA GOOD!

Edit: After the original review, prices hiked. A specialty pie used to be around $35, now they're $42. There isn't a single pie sold here that's worth $42.

The consistency of quality for the specialty pizzas is disappointing. This applies to both delivery and dine-in. The BBQ Chicken, Chicken Ranch, and Buffalo chicken pies are either some of the best you'll ever have, or exceedingly dry with only a hint of sauce and overcooked chicken toppings.

It's really almost 50/50 and it blows my mind they can't get this right more often.

This is also, surprisingly, an issue with their Beverly Dr location AND their Canon Dr location.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. After paying for my meal, the staff returned my money, claiming they didn’t have change, and instead took the payment from my friend. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and left a bad impression. A business should be prepared to handle simple transactions like providing change.
Terrible customer service.

Had lunch here. Pizza was eh, pasta and meatballs nothing special, garlic knots barely had any garlic. Not worth the price and not like it used to be.

Just not worth it. Pizza is always old and bland..not reheated well slices. The kitch isn't worth the price. Sloppy overall. Looks like dirty NY subway station pizza.

Took my daughter here for the 1st time and she ordered an entire pie for the 2 of us. It was AMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAZING! We also got to meet the owner and he was amazing with the little one. Very welcoming and great service with a smile.

Whenever I’m in NYC, I go on a mission to find the best standard slices (along with other pizza too) - Mulberry’s is the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Manhattan, who?

It’s between them and Joe’s in Hollywood for my favorite NY Pizza. Joe’s is *a little* bit thicker which I like - Mulberry is very thin even for NY pizza, but they’ve got the best flavor for sure.

Cookies are good too and they have the biggest selection of diet/sugar free soda I’ve seen anywhere other than the grocery store.

I was disappointed with the eggplant pizza at Mulberry Street Pizza. The pizza arrived warm and dry, and it was clear that it had been reheated. We were there at 9:30 PM, so they likely didn't make a fresh pizza because they wanted to get rid of the leftovers they had sitting around. They have to know that their customers are not stupid, and we won't accept subpar product and service. Next time I go there, if ever, I will stand by the counter and make sure they put a fresh dough in the oven. I don't trust these guys anymore.

The best pizza in town. I get at least 2 slices a week there. And when I get embarrassed from visiting too often, I get it delivered to my home. Four stars because I hate how good they are, I can’t control those pizza cravings. 😂

We grew up with Mulberry Street Pizza and for the longest time it really was the only game in town. Now competition is high yet Mulberry is still giving the competition a run for their money. Having said that, in my opinion, Mulberry should introduce some "NEW" recipes and it's best if you'd eat the pizza fresh out of the oven at the restaurant as opposed to take out or delivery.

I ordered for pick up when I went to the cannon drive location they find out that I ordered at the other location S Beverly Dr.
However it was crazy raining and I was walking so I called that location and apologized that I didn’t know there is 2 locations and I won’t be able to walk there so I needed to cancel that order and reorder form the location where I am now

The server there refused to serve me and said am out of that item.
To make me go and pick the other order that was already canceled.
Very disappointed from them never except such a service from them.

I don’t know whether I have already posted a review but every time I have the regular cheese pizza I can barely speak or write as I am floating in pizza heaven. It is the best regular pizza in LA. I lived in NY for several years, and the pizza is hit-or-miss. Mulberry’s pizza is consistent and delicious every time. I have never taken a photo because I have other priorities when I get the pizza.

As much as I don't want to make this about race it was clearly apart of the issue..I came in and ordered my slice of pizza behind me were two gentleman one black and one caucasian man ... evidently the caucasian guy ordered my same slice because he was eating it while I was waiting for the short man to remake my order ..not even an apology...make sure you have a Caucasian friend with you to get decent service...I would say next time I'll keep that in mind but there WON'T be one!!!!

The Canon location is by far the best, try to go to this one as the other locations have been inconsistent quality wise, but canon has the best NYC style pizza outside of NY. Get it fresh and let the pizza melt away your worries.

I got a vegetarian slice of pizza since I was hungry and it looked good in the display. The pizza was not even temperature hot. It tasted okay, but I'm sure would've taste much better if it was heated up.
