From NYC's award-winning aperitivo bar comes Dante Beverly Hills, Dante's first restaurant outside of New York City. Situated on the rooftop of the Maybourne Hotel, Dante Beverly Hills blends Dante's beloved hospitality with Californian sensibilities, offering an Italian-inspired food menu - centered around a wood-fired oven - to pair with aperitivo-style cocktails.
Beautiful views and amazing food.
I wasn’t expecting the food to be as great as it was bc of the hype of the rooftop views. But I was wrong…and I should have known since their food at the original NYC restaurant is top notch.
The pizza is a must. And go for happy hour, aka martini hour for $10 drinks. You won’t find a better deal in such a beautiful location.
The hotel is fabulous as well with unbelievable service.

This could not have been a more perfect brunch. We stayed at the Melbourne and got up to the restaurant right when they opened so we could choose where we wanted to sit. The view is breathtaking, the food was great but the customer service was the most impressive. They were so attentive and really made my husbands birthday unforgettable. I highly recommend dining here if you’re in Beverly Hills.

Our dining experience on 7/29 was mixed. The restaurant ambiance is wonderful. We had two servers due to some schedule transition. Our first one was great; our second one was pretty hands off. She also didn’t seem to know what was going on, asking us if we wanted to order dessert while we were waiting for our entrees to arrive.
Mare Misto: 5/5
Very crispy calamari and rock shrimp
Cannellini bean salad: 4/5
Pretty good but underseasoned
Pappardelle Al Ragu: 5/5
Delicious
Steak frites: 2/5
Overcooked; skimpy on the chimichurri, fries were crispy but not seasoned at all
For $78, we would expect the chef to be able to cook it to the correct temperature so this was a major disappointment. Since it took so long, we just ate it since we didn’t have time to have them remake it.
Non-alcoholic cosmojito: 2/5
This was mostly ice and not a good value for $15. It was maybe a couple ounces of cranberry juice and Perrier decorated with ice and mint leaves and citrus slices.

We had a fantastic time here! The drinks, the food, and the view was phenomenal. Our server was wonderful and we enjoyed everything we ate.
We got an amaretto sour, a French martini, Dante’s martini, and the Classic Martini. Then we also got the Grasshopper and Espresso martini for desert which, again, were so good. All the martinis were perfectly balanced and very smooth.
For appetizers, we got the Mare Miso, the Fennel Salad, and two pizzas to share - the Gialla and the Margherita. Everything was so good. For entrees, we got the Organic Chicken, the Cauliflower, the Gemelli Pesto, and the Pomodoro. The only thing I say is the Pomodoro was a little under-seasoned. Everything else was amazing.

Atop the beautiful Maybourne Hotel (rooftop) sits the amazing DANTE restaurant and bar. It’s an epicurean delight from the wide range of Martinis (and a $52 Caviar version) to the delicious Pappardelle al Ragu, to the simple but great wood fired Pizza!
The salads were great but you will prob want to start with a dozed oysters if you are celebrating (ask for cocktail sauce as it oddly does not come with it)!
The Tiramisu was an amazing finish (split it as it’s big). Finally, our main server (Christian) was excellent, but the whole team was great.

EDIT: MAY 2024 Dante invited me back to make this right, I appreciate that effort from their crew and it’s clear they took my feedback on board (see my new cauliflower pic) thank you Dante for being so responsive.
I’ve been to Dante a few times now, both in New York and Beverly Hills. For the BH location, I was last here Nov of 2023 for context and now Feb 2024 which is when this review was written.
First off, the cocktails are always delicious. The service team does an amazing job at making sure your drink experience is top notch, no matter what you order. And the ambiance is always pretty too, no matter the time of day you visit - with comfy booths/chairs and a wonderful view.
Now onto the food, which is the main reason for this review today. I am glad to see Dante offer so many vegan options (yay and thank you!) When I come, I normally order the cauliflower as my entree, which in the past has been delicious, filling and very flavorful. Tonight when I ordered this dish, it was a very different story. The portion was not only what felt like 1/3 of the size but also cold in the middle. (I am Including photos for reference of this difference in size). Yet, the price of this dish has not changed. I am just really taken aback at the vast difference in experience regarding this entree in the times I have ordered it.
For Dante’s level of service, prices and experience, I hope they can correct this for future guests who may want to order the cauliflower.

This place was highly recommended to us during my three day weekend trip to LA. It was supposed to be a new and hip place for some good Italian food. What a disappointment. A Hollywood D star wanta be. Atmosphere: Open, nice view of I think is the hills of Beverly Hills. Painted ceiling is a bit overwhelming in a depressed color, but, hey, some might like it. Lights were dim and romantic, accustic was good. However, it s one table on top of another, our two persons table was so small, it barely fit a water battle, two glasses, a little table flower and a small lamp, we had to move everything including our bottle of wine to the floor space next to our feet when the food came.. Service: friendly enough, wine stuart was knowledgeable on the small selection they offered. Food: Wow, what can I say. We shared a beet salad and asked for warm goat cheese, which came in a tiny container barely enough for one bite, and the greens were all wilted. However, the yellow and red beets were fresh and cooked to perfection, White pizza: a bit g lump of ice cold tasteless whipped ricotta cheese dumped in the middle of a big thick frisbee like dough. We both took one bite and decided we just order the wrong dish, so immediately ordered a margarita pizza. Margaritas Pizza: what can go wrong? Right? Light dough, light sauce, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and maybe some fresh tomato slices. But was again disappointed to see thick tomato sauce with burned basil on top of thick chewy dough. Penna cotta: my favorite Italian dessert. It was so awful, runny, tastes worse than store bought. Any slice of plain cheese pizza from the streets of New York is better than this. What is going on??? Has the younger generation lost their taste buds? Did the Hollywood elites so into the views and decor they forgot to appreciate good food. After spending hundreds on wine and bad pizza, we didn t bother to get second course and left to go to another restaurant. Guess I will never be seeing that view again.

Dante Beverly Hills is located in the beautiful Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel. You want to valet your car and make a reservation. It does fill up at dinner time. Dante is very pretty and the seats are comfortable and relaxing. You are never rushed her. They have great seating and if I recall there is sometimes outdoor seating as well. Now, Dante is very expensive. More than you might think for what you are ordering, but once you taste their great food you will not mind the bill. The service is so wonderful. Everyone is nice and they know their menu. WE love their FRESHLY SHUCKED OYSTERS that some with lime and ginger granita. The CAVIAR SERVICE is pricey, but it is worth it. Dont get full on these things. There is dinner to come. Dantes AUSTRALIAN LAMB CHOPS served with fava beans, maitake, and polenta is my favorite dish. My husband loves their FILET MIGNON with the best béarnaise and huge asparagus. For dessert the carrot cake is just wonderful. They also have a kids menu. It is all great.

Dante NYC is an incredible bar, some say the best in the world. I was looking forward to checking out their LA outpost, but it fell short of expectations. I love the extensive Negroni menu at Dante NYC, but Dante Beverly Hills has a limited Negroni menu in comparison. We stopped in for late afternoon cocktails, so I can t comment on the food but the drinks were average. The space itself is very Beverly Hills. There s a great view of the city if you sit out on the veranda. Service was underwhelming. We had to wave down our server multiple times. We didn t receive any napkins, coasters or dishes to put the pits from olives. If you re going to drop $20+ on a cocktail, there s an expectation for a certain level of service. We left after one drink and shared our thoughts with the hostess when she asked why we were leaving. The service and cocktails are not up to par with its East Coast counterparts.

I initially visited Dante 1 year ago around the time that they opened. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the experience because the food and drinks took a significantly long time to arrive...about 45 minutes. We gave the benefit of the doubt since they had just opened. Last night I revisited Dante excited to give it another try and was completely let down. When you order, you have to give your entire order upfront so they can course out your meal. Many restaurants do this now, so we didnt question it. Our salad arrived to the table over 30 minutes from the time we ordered it. We still had salad on the plate and the staff kept trying to remove the plate for the next course to which we told multiple staff members that we want to keep the salad and we are ready for our next course. We then waited for approximately an additional 40 minutes for the rest of our meal to arrive ALL at the same time, COLD, and TASTELESS. Not sure why we had to order up front if everything arrived together. At this point we are STARVING, each person in my party had 2 cocktails finished. We asked multiple times for our food to be checked on while watching other guests that arrived after us exit the restaurant. We let the waiter know about the food being cold and he took our steak and pasta back to the kitchen. They returned it after another 20-30 min with the steak being cooked medium plus when we ordered medium rare (definitely just threw it back on the stove) and the pasta being completely undercooked, hard, with the sauce sitting in the bottom of the bowl like a soup. The manager did not even bother to check on our table, ask how everything is going, offer to remake the food, or even send a dessert. We asked other staff members to bring back the manager and she kept walking in front of our table avoiding us. Really disappointed in the experience we had at Dante especially because our waiter and the hostess were very nice and welcoming. None of us will be returning or recommending Dante.

Wow, just what an absolute rip off to start with. The drinks and food are so expensive but the views and ambiance are really nice. I ordered the lamb chops which were close to $70 and got two very small ones which came with a small thing of mashed potatoes. I could not believe how much they charged for such small portions. Every entree is incredibly expensive and the smallest portions (chicken is bland and small, cooked fish had very little seasoning, they charge over $30 for cauliflower entree) . It didn t even taste that amazing so was thoroughly disappointed that I spent so much money dining here and had to stop at fast food afterwards because I didn t have enough to eat. I would never go back here unless was getting a drink but you have to be willing to spend over $22 on a cocktail. It is not worth the $$$

Updated & Upgraded from 3 to 4 after another try and joining for Martini Hour. Its a small happy hour menu of 6 options, but for $10 gives you the opportunity to try a few and see what you like. Great martinis and service was good this time and attentive. I said I wouldnt be back but felt I needed to give it another try, esp. for happy hour, which was worth it. Still not sure Im back for full price but happy hour was worth it. previous comments; Trying a little too hard if you ask me. Went for a few cocktails and sat at the bar. Great selection of drinks and a really nice atmosphere with beautiful views of the hills. Service was good but the waitress missed an opportunity. There was a drink with vodka and slivers of lemon & lime rind...I think they call it essence. Wow, just squeeze some actual juice in there and give it some flavor, it basically just tasted like a shot of vodka. When it was apparent the drink wasnt liked the waitress seemed quite disinterested. The other beverage was a white negroni which was ok but I wouldnt recommend. The big turn off for me was how they served the drinks. For the premium you pay Id hope they would at least just bring your drinks to you, perhaps on a nice tray or the waitress herself. Nope, a guy came by with a tray full of drinks, searched around and found ours. The vodka drink referenced below was poured from a pitcher, as it was pre-made in bulk, into the glass. It was all just off putting. For the many choices in the area for a premium cocktail and setting, I wouldnt choose this place again.

Dante is amazing with great ambiance, delicious food and wonderful service. The pizza was outstanding, yummy appetizers, main courses, dessert, etc. One suggestion: I would NOT recommend the lamb chops Only 2 small lamb chops, not pan seared (thus lacking flavor) like they said they were .way too pricey ($65) for what we got I think one should get 4 lamb chops for the price poor value. Pan seared individually is key to get the best flavor. However, ALL other food was fantastic and generously portioned. Also, Id like to see at least one chocolate option on the dessert menu. Otherwise we had a delicious dinner & fabulous time! Thank you. Thank you! Highly recommend!

This spot is truly beautiful! It s in the 9th floor of a hotel, and there s a rooftop pool on the other side of the restaurant, which can be visited when going to the bathroom (a very stylish one, by the way!) I have visited Dante in NYC several times and love it over there, so I was curious to try this new LA version. It s fairly small and has less seating space, but it offers prime view on Los Angeles (including the Hollywood sign!). The decor is amazing and it feels very chic. Foodwise: I ordered the Wild Salmon ($39). The waitress said that the Chef recommended it cooked medium rare. It was more rare than medium, but good regardless. I should have ordered some sides as the side salad and yogurt sauce felt a bit light. I did order the Peach Melba as well a dessert ($17), which was delicious and very well presented. We also had a bottle of still water to share for 2 ($11). It was about $75 each after tax and tips, which felt a bit much considering that I was still hungry. And no bread was offered either. The pizza would have been a safer choice as it looked amazing on other people s tables. Overall, I would go back for the vibes and the fantastic location. It was lunchtime, so I did not drink, but the drinks menu looked great! Parking: You can park in the BH city parking lot. It has different entrances and lots of elevators. free for 2 hours then $3 per 30 mins.

The atmosphere is gorgeous (wonderful date spot / insane views), and the food and service were great too. Cant wait to return. Wish they were open for lunch! (Looks like Sunday brunch only).

I live in BH and own a pilates studio nearby on Robertson, so I spend a lot of time in this area. This is a great local rooftop restaurant with delicious food and great service. The views of the Hollywood hills are insane and you can even see the Hollywood sign form the dining terrace. Their cocktails are delicious especially the passion fruit spritz with real passion fruit in it which is hard to find (not purée). They have a martini happy hour on Wednesdays from 3-5 ($10 martinis) with live music. Go on a night when Lele is performing - she is incredible and has a beautiful voice. All the food is amazing as well. Great ambiance and nice, friendly service. Highly recommend!

Genuinely one of the worst meals I ve had in LA. Started with the shrimp cocktail and arancini. Shrimp cocktail was good. Arancini was basically one big dough ball, with no hint of rice in it. Also we were charged extra for a marinara sauce we didn t order to go with the arancini. For the entrees I had the bolognese and my wife had the salmon. Bolognese was fine, the salmon was so bad my wife sent it back (did not taste fresh), which is something she s never done before at a restaurant. They asked if she would like something else and she asked for the chicken, which was also fine. Very disappointed that they charged us for both the salmon and the chicken. We also got a side of fries, which were undercooked. Overall a very disappointing meal - made even more disappointing by the prices.

Food was reasonably good and service a bit slow - but it was the general manager that provided us with a great experience showing us the pizza oven (although they could not serve pizza due to a rain leak). Music was not in harmony with the ambiance though... (Oldies in an Italian-themed restaurant)

Celebrated a friend s birthday here recently, and the overall experience was top-notch. Everyone was stellar, warm, and accommodating. The level of friendliness and professionalism from the managers to the service staff, notably Elton, Mollie, Jenna, and Gabriel made the occasion extra special and fun. We are truly grateful. Very different vibe than the original, this one located on the 9th floor of a hotel with view of the Beverly Hills is elevated, elegant and bright comparing to the more intimate settings in NYC. Amazing food, drinks and service! The Garibaldi is a must try, they use a special machine to press the grapefruit such that the juice is fresh and feathery.

Dante in Beverly Hills hosted my small company and I for our 2023 team holiday dinner. It was considered a large-party reservation and we were able to secure an Al fresco, private dining section on their rooftop terrace. From the time of inquiry for our event until the very minute we left the venue, and even days after, the overall consensus was a 10/10 experience. Michelle Renton, the events coordinator, was extremely responsive and thorough with answering my questions, helped with coordinating the perfect menu (from cocktails to desserts), and was accommodating with the multiple dietary restrictions within our party. On the day of, Katie Brown, was there to help facilitate with everything we needed. I m also blanking on our server s name, but she was MAGNIFICENT! So attentive, sweet, knowledgeable, and fun! Overall, I m extremely impressed with how the night was and hope to return many times hereafter. Thanks for making our celebration one for the books!

My new favorite restaurant in Beverly Hills. Everything about this restaurant is 10/10. The foods, drinks, ambiance, service, and staff are impeccable. Miguel and Elliot are two of the kindest, most attentive humans ever- they treat you like royalty. The staff truly takes care of you and your needs like you are family. Not to mention, the live pianist is one of the core parts of the amazing, relaxing ambiance of this establishment. I have been to Dante multiple times and I have never had 1 bad experience.

I ve always loved Dante in New York and it was a regular stop of mine when I lived downtown for years. Once I heard that it made its way to LA, I had to go when I was home for the holiday. They just simply do not miss. The cocktails are still at the caliber you expect from Dante, the negroni is perfect. No martinis for me on this occasion as it was brunch and I m not in the cast of Mad Men but the aperitifs and Bellinis did not disappoint. The new fall salad and the pizzas were perfection. The fra Diavalo was spicy not but too intense. The tiramisu is still one of my faves. I absolutely love the scene and the decor. The views are insane over LA, just breathtaking. It s a great special occasion restaurant and lovely for brunch or entertaining family. Had the best time, can t wait to come back.

Located on the rooftop(9th) of the Hotel. This is a famous bar from NYC. This new location is just as busy. Reservations are highly recommended. Valet is available at the hotel. Menu items are the same and food quality remains their standard. They are famous for their cocktails. There are tons of options to choose from. And whatever your preferences are, they could always suggest the best drink for you. Our server was friendly and helpful. But it is a very busy spot for cocktails. The bar is extremely busy and we got our drinks after we finished the appetizers. The food items came pretty quick. The Diavola pizza is a must try. Overall it s a nice place to chill and hangout with friends.

No comparison to New York! Sorry guys. Drinks okish (Negronis o were ok), service not at all at New York level (which is very personal and dedicated), food was cold when served. What is incredible is the atmosphere. On the roofs of Beverly Hills located at a very historical place.

I consider myself to be someone who is quite used to good food and good restaurants and Dante brought my standard to a whole new level. I had my birthday lunch at Dante and my friends were so impressed with the ambience and the quality of the food that they are still talking about it. It s a place we all come back for sure. The food was amazing and plenty and beyond tasty. Not a single item could have done any better. My mom said she has never had salmon as well cooked as the one at Dante anywhere else, keeping in mind, we dine at amazing restaurants all the time. We are coming back for sure. I wanted to thank you and the staff specifically people in the kitchen for serving us such amazing masterpieces. Thanks for making my birthday so special :)

Welcome to pure opulence, the minute you walk out the elevators and make your way to the entrance you are welcomed with the most amazing view curtaining the chicest room I ve seen in a long time. Cozy setting with blue velvet booths and mid century modern decor makes this one of my favorite settings. Menu is exceptional with every item better than other. All of their pizzas, pastas are 100% grade A. Service was amazing and surprisingly prices are not your typical Beverly Hills robbery. We were 4 people and had ton of drinks and food and walk out less than $500.00. Amazing value for what they deliver. Manager Walter is a true hospitality king. He made sure we were pleased in every aspect and made us feel extra special. Would definitely recommend this place and looks like going to be my regular hang out.

So I went last night to Dante as a recommendation and we were down stairs and took the risk of maybe getting seats at the bar. Glad we did, host totally respects the waitlist and kindly asked the two guests who sat in our seat to move and sat us at the bar. Hopefully the weekend continues with Bahreta and Nate. It was great, Dante hails from New York and it was like Weekend Update with these two - they were great mixologists as well as hilarious. I ll be coming back real soon!

We split the herlom tomato and peach salad and a pizza (cant remember the name, but it has spicy pepperoni and hot honey).

WOW! First off, shoutout to Mollie! The service was nothing short of spectacular. I can t speak highly enough of how friendly and professional she was. I made Reservations to celebrate our anniversary a month in advance and was promptly greeted by one of the friendliest hosts I ve ever encountered (they made us feel welcome and acknowledged our anniversary, made us feel very special letting us know we had his favorite table in the house). The vibe was amazing, very welcoming and exciting. Again, our server mollie was legendary. Very knowledgeable of the menu, and checked on us throughout the entire night to make sure we were taken care of. Other team members that brought out our food and drinks were just as nice and courteous. The food and drinks were great and beautifully prepared. Even though they had a full house, everything was brought out in a timely manner and we never felt neglected or forgotten about. To end the night, they even surprised us with a pair beautifully prepared and personalized drinks to commemorate our anniversary! Let me tell you, we have been to many popular highly rated restaurants of all variations, but the service and vibe of Dante s is unmatched. We were well taken care of and felt appreciated by everyone the entire night. Thank you for making our night unforgettable, well worth the month long reservation list, you guys are rockstars

What a fantastic restaurant! The views are amazing and service is on point, especially given how busy it is all hours of the day. Pizza is a home run. Reservations are extremely tough still, but the host does a great job even if you walk in. Jeremiah the host is very friendly, and was able to get us in multiple times during prime dinner hours as walk in, which is rare for a hot spot restaurant. The martinis are a must here. Espresso martini is a great way to start out the meal. Big shout out to the pianists (especially Jason) here. Ambiance does not get any better.

This place far exceeded my expectations. The drinks were stellar; in particular, the boozy affogato and 20th century stood out. We also tried the dirty martini and the with a twist. The weather was also perfect for a late afternoon drinks and early dinner session. We were seated right at the railing so had unobstructed views. The food was pretty impressive to me considering the offerings many other places around have. We got: - mushrooms (which were great, though a bit bland and oily compared to the other things) - octopus salad (cooked nicely and well balanced; only a couple pieces of octopus seemed slightly underdone but the rest was perfect) - crudo (had a surprising kick at the end! Fortunately, the spice didnt overpower the fish or other flavors) - market salad with shrimp (this was HUGE and unexpectedly good) - roasted carrots (these were SO. GOOD. Like bring home to your parents kind of excellence) We also managed to get a side of fries, which I was super grateful for since all of the other carbs have gluten (i.e. pizzas and pastas). This will sound weird, but the ketchup was freaking delicious. Im not a condiment girl but I will remember that stuff for the rest of my life. The only negative was the service was inconsistent. Most people were absolutely delightful and everyone we spoke with was responsive and lovely, but we were left alone for long periods, including when we were seated... it took about 20 mins for someone to even ask if we wanted water. I have to assume it was some kind of communication error because a table was seated after us about 10 min after we were and already had their drinks by the time we were asked if we wanted to order anything else, and a bunch of different people seemed to be serving us. Overall, would absolutely recommend this, and we will for sure be back to try some of the other cocktails. Dietary restrictions: GREAT knowledge of allergens displayed by the servers and the menu has every item marked for vegan, dairy free, vegetarian, and gluten free dining.

The food is delicious and service was excellent. Obviously the view is phenomenal. $8 for an iced tea is a bit ridiculous, and the pizza could have had a lot more cheese and lot less crust. Those are my only complaints so far, which is pretty amazing for a brand new restaurant.
