Super overpriced! Slow bad service and a shady "kitchen service charge" that is illegal. Really great ramen, broth is so yummy and tasty noodles. Small portion for such high price, you can order extra noodles, meats and other stuffs but your dish would be like $40! I won't be coming back here again, go once to see for yourself but I highly doubt you will be a regular.

Today I came in at 11 pm to patiently and politely speak to a manager regarding job opportunity. As I waited for few minutes a tall white young male completely spazzed at me with attitude saying just get out for no reason and as Iโ€™m never rude to anyone in my life and I told him why are you speaking to me like that and he started getting more hostile and disrespected my clothing and attire saying Iโ€™m never going to get a job dressed this way and the manager finally came and that was the most disrespectful employee to the point I am leaving a review to let you know the atmosphere and hospitality is completely disgusting!

The โ€œsignature ramenโ€ is intensely salty even with extra chicken broth to dilute the soup.
I did find the โ€œ9โ€ was more pleasant to the taste. The No 9 is chicken broth based. It has a slight sweetness to it.
The โ€œtonkotsuโ€ ones I tried were decent, although I do think it is a bit overpriced for a lunch that is close to $50.
Overall it is a decent place.

I found the food to be extremely good and enjoyed all the interesting flavor profiles. The only reason why I wouldn't go back is because of the mandatory kitchen appreciation charge of 4.5%. The food tasted great, however the portion was very small (I guess thatโ€™s how they got the Michelin thing) and the ramen portion doesnโ€™t look like how they advertised on the menu website.

I got a signature #1 +extra pork belly and I got only 4 pieces of pork and 2 pieces of wonton in total. The picture on their website somehow is showing a lot more than what I got. To me it seems like a fake advertisement.

Iโ€™m in total disbelief when reading all these negative reviews .Personally I think the prices are very affordable and reasonable for such a high quality food , plus all the prices are online . Check before you go. If it seems to expensive than find some cheaper low quality ramen . WARNING: DO NOT GO! I was expecting amazing food, but unfortunately, the food and management were of poor quality. I ate an expired soft egg from this place that ruined my ramen when it came apart. About $50-$60 for two bad ramen does not deserve a Michelin star. When I brought it up, the owner was so angry about the egg that he said, "What ramen place sent you?" The ambiance seems toxic based on the owner's attitude response to a simple bad soft egg.

Michelin rated 2021, 2022, & 2023.....this is a high end ramen shop located on La Cienega Blvd in Beverly Hills.

All the noodles here are made fresh in house in the front of the shop on display.

The signature #1 truffle soba reminds me of the famous truffle Michelin rated ramen in Tokyo. This is what I've had the several other times I've visited. Today I came in specifically to try their new tsukemen (dipping ramen) Ise.

It's described as spicy yet sweet dipping ramen with noodles served on the side. The noodles are wide and flat....very fresh too! They also provide a side of truffle oil and green onions so you can customize your bowl. The soup was much thicker and more intense than a normal ramen broth. It coats the flat noodles very well. They also give you a pretty good portion of the pork charshu.

I really like this place but it is a very expensive bowl of ramen for $38. If the price was more reasonable, I would give it a 5 star. Even with the price at $38, I still come back. Food is delicious!

Itโ€™s a unique take on ramen, good depth of flavor, great noodles, but for me the truffle dominates and the richness of the soup is too buttery. Came here because the Michelin Star caught my eye. I usually like to go of my local Daikokuya Ramen shop but I'd thought I'd give this a try.

We came Sunday and arrived around 12pm (right when they opened) and thankfully we found street parking as soon as we arrived. We were the only ones in the restaurant for about 30 minutes, then the locals started to trickle in.

They have both Indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had a cute picnic vibe to it. But we decided to sit at the bar area.

We ordered the Lei Ramen and Kaiten Ramen. If you love spicy foods, I would suggest going with the Lei Ramen it was delicious! The Kaiten Ramen was creamy and good for non spicy eaters. We paired it with some smooth Sapporo, a suggestion from the waiter who said it would go great with our meal. The portion size was large and was about $36+ per bowl.

Definitely a savory meal and is on my top 3 ramen spots!

After reading reviews, Michelin Recommend from 2021-2023, and many different trophies. I was expected this place to be a 5 start ramen shop. However, itโ€™s disappointed. For a bowl of ramen $38 plus tax and tips, I would expect it to be nearly perfect. Chicken wings are dry not juicy. Only one server runs the entire restaurant so there is no service at all to check if the food is ok or anything else needs to be attentive. No water refill, no one came to our table to check on us. Only one staff works in the kitchen and one staff works in the back of the kitchen. After waiting for 20 mins to get our chicken wings and another 15 mins to get three bowls of ramen. The noodle texture is lack of Gluteniness of noodles. It doesnโ€™t taste as good as it should be as home made noodles. The only broth tastes the best itโ€™s the creamy broth. Salt and soy broth are both little too salty. Chicken thigh itโ€™s full of sake taste and I canโ€™t taste any chicken flavor from it. The texture of the chicken also not juice at all. Honestly, a place like this should have a lot better quality of food and service to present.

Overate ramen! Too much truffle oil and it breaks all the taste. You can name that โ€œinnovationโ€ but for a person who eat ramen all over the world like me, itโ€™s really โ€œoverdoseโ€. Lamb ramen, itโ€™s a joke with this price! I really donโ€™t mind to pay $70/bowl of ramen, if itโ€™s good! But not in this case! Taste-it first pls! Bright side: they have a very good serveur, he is very kind, attentive and charming. Thatโ€™s why even can not finish any bowl of ramen, still appreciate him with a good tip, cause itโ€™s not his fault at all.

The signature ramen is REALLY good (if overpriced). The chicken wings are incredible -- I would come back and just get those. The wagyu beef isn't worth it -- there's too much seasoning/sauce on it such that you can't really even tell it's wagyu. The food took a long time to come out. Mochi dessert was good but pretty much tasted like the ones you can buy at the grocery store.

Michelin recognized ramen spot in Beverly Hills. Metered street parking available. Credit cards accepted. Indoor dining and outdoor dining with heat lamps are available. Reservations accepted and we made one for three on a Sunday evening after our matinee at the Matrix Theater. They do serve alcohol; the Cherry Bouquet โ€œOkaโ€ sake was sweet and creamy. The Silver Mountain โ€œYamahaiโ€ was a regular sake. I had their truffle ramen (Signature #1) which tasted great but got a little rich towards the end. My mom and dad both really enjoyed their ramens as well (the lei and ouka respectively). We also got the sake wings for an app (comes with 6) and it had a little coleslaw on the side. We ended with the mochi flight for dessert. They were out of the cookies and cream so we had two green teas and one black sesame. I would pass on the dessert but definitely liked the wings. Overall, itโ€™s a great spot for an upscale yet not stuffy way.

Went to this place with high expectations and left more disappointed than annoyed. I wished to like this place so badly, but I simply could not.

Kazan by Chef Ryu is often regarded as the best ramen in LA. Sitting in the food district of Beverly, the restaurant's freshly made noodles and clear jidori chicken broth have landed it on the Bib Gourmand for three consecutive years. The establishment proudly boasts its wide recognition and displays trophies on its counter. You can see "The Pinnacle of Noodles" hanging high across the street.

I opted for a time-limited sampling menu, which comes with one salad, one appetizer, and ramen of your choice. The salad was nothing out of the ordinary: crunchy tri-colored carrot coleslaw with mixed lettuce and cucumber. The lamb chops for the appetizer were marinated with miso and grilled with authentic Szechuan spices. The seasoning was overpowering; the lamb was not cooked evenly--the upper part was still raw with unrendered fat, yet the lower part was overcooked; the choice to scissor the meat made it less juicy than ideal. Both apps were fine, nothing exceptional.

Moving on to the star of the show, ramen. I ordered the Soy-based Chicken Soba with Whole Braised Chicken Leg (#4). The presentation was stunning; the subtle truffle aroma pairs perfectly with the warm soy tare and light chicken broth. The texture of homemade noodles is comparable to those I had in Japan and is exceptionally good.

However, after two spoonfuls of delightful soup, the saltiness started to kick in. It is so salty that the soup tastes bitter. The bitterness is further exacerbated by the lettuce, which became fully cooked and unpalatable once it came into contact with the hot broth. The soft-boiled egg was severely undercooked (the white has yet to settle) and under-marinated (the yolk was runny instead of jammy). Half the yolk went onto the plate as soon as I cut it open. To make matters worse, the chicken was dry and old, as if it had been sitting on the counter for hours. It looked nothing like the photo, and even my knife had difficulty cutting it through. The saltiness, bitterness, and dryness made this bowl of ramen unpleasant and underwhelming, and I was not able to finish it.

The service was the final nail in the coffin. Only one server ran the entire storefront, which made the lack of attention understandable but not justified on the management level. When I tried to raise these issues regarding the food (after waiting for 15 minutes), the server simply responded with, "This is normal for our store." According to her, the egg is supposed to be undercooked, the lettuce is supposed to get bitter, and many have complained about the overall saltiness (which I presume she all turned a blind eye to). Even the school cafeteria takes more consideration into consumer feedback! I could tolerate subpar food, but not the horrible, borderline insulting attitude. I immediately took the check and left.

There is still a long way to go before Kazan can become what it claims. Perhaps it was just a bad night, but my experience was by no means up to Bib Gourmand standards and not even basic decency. This place definitely has the capability to do things right; the question is When and How Consistently.

Kazan Beverly Hills serves an especially premium (now one holding one Michelin star) ramen! They have some extremely really unique ramen such as their truffle chicken broth ramen which is likely the most unique ramen I've ever eaten. Starting with a hefty truffle taste and hints of saffron spice it is a creamy delight that will make you feel heavy after completing the bowl! Their spicy tonkatsu and regular tonkatsu are definitely above standard but I would give their some of the other ramens a try instead. They have amazing aldente noodles and I even brought their chopsticks home as a souvenir. The price is definitely for premium ramen but that adventurous experience makes it worth it!

My original review was going to be a 4, but after reading some of the ownersโ€™ degrading, patronizing responses, I canโ€™t possibly put more than 2 stars.

The fried wantons were good, but donโ€™t justify the price, especially for their size. The ramen, however, was amazing. We tried the No. 2 ramen, and it was one of the best I have ever had. On par with Slurp in Copenhagen, as well as others in NYC and Barcelona.

Even so, I have never paid so much for ramen in my life. The prices to flavor ratio โ€“ especially factoring in the wanton โ€“ brought me from a 5 to a 4. But then reading some of the review responses, I canโ€™t encourage others to support a business that treats customers this way.

Iโ€™ve been coming to Kazan steadily for about 2 years now, and it has been my favorite upscale noodle restaurants in LA. With their noodles made from scratch, you can taste the al dente-ness of each bite complimented with their unique approach of infusing truffle oil into their dishes. The #3 Creamy Fusion is my favorite go to dish, where each component is crafted to perfection. Too salty? Just ask for less sodium Too many onions? Just ask for less onions. Kazan accommodates gustatory palettes with ease and their polite and welcoming staff are no different. One slight drawback is the parking situation unless you want to find street parking on the busy boulevard. Although prices have increased on their dishes as well as valet parking, I still do plan on eating at Kazan.

It's a Michelin Bib Gourmand recognized restaurant as of 2023. Highly recommend coming by if you're craving noodles & soup. I personally really enjoyed the soba thick noodles. Only downside is that it's a bit expensive for ramen, but you are in Beverly Hills after all.

This was, hands down, the BEST ramen I've ever had!! I ordered the Kaiten ramen with tofu and had to order extra noodles because they were so delicious. I highly recommend getting the mochi (the flavors are Black Sesame, Green Tea and Cookies n' Cream) for dessert -- seriously unreal! The green tea was delicious, and the staff is so friendly and attentive. 11/10 dining experience, worth every penny. Will definitely come back again! :)

Kazan is a premium Ramen spot in Beverly Hills thatโ€™s a must try for any ramen fanatic. They utilize mushrooms and truffles specifically in a delicious way, infusing their dashi broth with richness and intense aroma while being balanced. Great service and friendly staff. Appetizer options are great as well and the interior design is eye catching.

The broth was tasty. We made reservations for 7pm, got there a bit before then, the place was mostly empty. We were seated immediately and was asked for our order twice within 3 mins, which felt a bit rushed. We hurriedly ordered a carafe of sake, a tempura, a salad and 3 bowls of ramen. Everything came quickly and we ate fairly fast. The waitress put the check down before we were done eating, without us asking, which was about 30 minutes into our dinner. We paid immediately. They kept trying to take away my two dinner companion's unfinished main courses. A big guy came over and finally took away the soup my aunt was still enjoying. The bill for 3 people for the six items mentioned above came to nearly $300 with tip. We enjoyed the food and the waitress was nice, but we felt incredibly rushed. Our entire dinner lasted less than 45 mins. Not a pleasant way to spend $300 bucks.

*** I encourage everyone to read the ownerโ€™s response. On top of giving you bad Ramen, the man is a total narcissist. If you have to tell people how smart you are, then youโ€™re really not that smart. I think his response says it all.

I had such high hopes for this place but Iโ€™m thoroughly disappointed. I ordered #1 Ramen to go since they said it was their most popular Ramen. When I got home and poured the broth over the noodles, I knew I was not going to like it. There was a half an inch of oil sitting on top of the broth and it drenched everything in oil. It was so difficult to eat. Thereโ€™s only so much oil I can consume even if itโ€™s truffle oil. I am shocked at their Michelin star recommendation. There are Ramen places around LA that are far superior for a much cheaper price. Iโ€™m posting a picture so you can see the amount of oil in the dish. Thatโ€™s after I scooped some out.

Yeah, I get the hype.

Initially, I was shocked to pay $40 for ramen, but, it is extremely good. And when you think about all that it takes to make that broth, soaking bones for days on end to create that creamy collagen flavor, and all the complex ingredients that goes into making the perfect broth - I mean itโ€™s not some thing you can easily re-create at home. I tried the clear truffle broth and their signature Ramen with chicken. The chicken is a very clean flavor, no added herbs or spices, but you can tell itโ€™s quality. I do understand the accolades this place receives and would recommend it if youโ€™re in Beverly Hills but Iโ€™m not one for traveling to Beverly Hills just for ramen.

I came here on a whim whilst my significant other and I were looking for places to eat for a date. I had been recommended Kazan Beverly Hills before and chose to eat here. Below is my total experience from parking to leaving (a TL:DR is available below).

There is parking at the front paid through a meter. There is also parking on the right side of the establishment, although this lot is valet only, costing $9.00 as of 11/14/2022. Parking was not an issue for us since it was a Monday evening, however, I could see how parking could potentially be an issue for busier days. I would definitely plan looking at available parking locations through Google Maps if parking could be an issue. The valet employees were mostly kind, accept for this one employee who seemed to be annoyed by me asking if he could open my vehicles trunk for me. The location of the restaurant is also very nice. The area was clean and the ambiance was relaxing on a Monday evening.

Arriving to the restaurant, we were seated after a couple of minutes waiting. Menus are given through QR codes that will be scanned through your phone. Menu items are priced accurately in-house. We thought their appetizers were a bit pricey, so me and my significant other decided to skip them all-together and instead ordered 2 waters, 1 green-tea, 1 Purely Vegan Soba, and 1 Lei Ramen. This was all priced at a total of ~$70, not included our tips.

Whilst it is quiet expensive to eat at this location, the ramen was worth it. Beginning with the Purely Vegan Soba, the broth and the noodles were amazingly flavorful. Each bite was packed with a variety of tasteful seasonings and treats. The toppings all blended together, and the ginger placed on the side tasted fantastic. More on the noodles: they were soft and cooked perfectly. You could tell the noodles were freshly made. The same is said for the Lei Ramen. The spices were amazing and the beef was so soft, it melts into your mouth. I was, at first, questioning the raw onions in my broth, but after tasting it with the broth, it was a great addition. The noodles in the Lei Ramen are different from those in the Purely Vegan Soba. The noodles were thin, but plentiful, and were also packed with flavor. Overall, both dishes were amazing. Their portion sizes were also perfect. As for the green-tea, it was delicious as well. These are indeed the best noodles I have ever had in Los Angeles, surpassing the popular Tatsu Ramen and other up-scaled noodle shops.

Our servers were also very friendly and were quick with services and requests. I had forgotten their names unfortunately, but they were working on 11/14/2022 in the evening. Props to them for providing an amazing experience, the same goes out to the cooks as well.

Upon leaving the restaurant, we got back to our car and left with wanting more. It was an amazing experience and the noodles, in addition to the customer service, were some of the best we have ever had. The only issue is the price. ~$70 for two people with the items we ordered is expensive. Me and my significant other chose split the bill. Is it worth it for ~$70? In my opinion, I would say yes for those special occasions where amazing noodles must be served, like a birthday or a graduation.

I wished I took pictures whilst in the restaurant so I could provide a visual representation of the ambience and the noodles we ordered.

[TL:DR]
A pricey, but amazing experience. Without starters, expect to spend $30-$50. Noodles are fantasticโ€”we had ordered the Purely Vegan Soba and the Lei Ramen. I recommend planning parking on holidays and busy weekends.

Excellent service, no complain. However the food is just not tasty (in any standard, not just michellin) , we ordered the lotus chip which was okay but then the signature ramen and creamy broth with chicken were very salty, itโ€™s like eating seawater. The noodles are on the hard side, definitely more Italian pasta than Japanese ramen. Overpriced ? For sure, not planning to visit again

An amazing noodle restaurant, well deserving of its Michelin recommendation. I got the creamy fusion #3 and the rich, creamy broth wasn't too heavy, but amazingly delicious. The noodles were cooked to an audente texture and the chashu and wontons were extremely flavorful. Also had the clams which tasted very fresh, and it's accompanying soup was nice and spicy. The only drawback I experienced was in the signature #1 dish. Don't get me wrong, it was extremely tasty, but the truffle seasoning took over too much of the flavor profile, to the point of making it difficult to finish. If Google allowed a more specific star rating system, I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars.

We had the A5 Wagyu starter to begin our meal. It's not large, but you know what you are getting with that cut of meat and its cost. Each bite was an explosion of flavor.

We shared the #1 Signature with Pork and the #7 Lamb in Lava. Both were excellent. You will be warned of the spice level of the #7 and given the option to request a modification. We had it as-is and found it to be spicy but immensely flavorful. The fresh truffles cut through the broth of the #1 with ease. It might not be the choice for you if truffles aren't your thing. Though, it was not overpowering, just worth mentioning. One in our party who normally does not enjoy truffles still enjoyed quite a bit of the bowl to themselves with no complaints.

We came for a late lunch on a Sunday. Zero crowd, no wait, wonderful and timely service. We'll be back when we are in the area, I'm sure.

There are several sides to every restaurant. How good is the food. How is the service. How do they treat their customers and accept and correct their mistakes? The food at Kazan is good. The lamb was spicy but you were warned. At 36 dollars it was a good meal, at 68 it was not even close to worth the price.

My issue with Kazan and a one star review really has to do with the owner, Ryu, respecting system errors and mistakes of technology. On the day we ate their, the menu showed 36 dollars even though the delivery price showed as 68. I saw that and ordered it specifically because I thought that seemed like a fair price. When the receipt had been emailed to me I saw the discrepancy and reached out. It took 4 phone calls and finally received responses from them via yelp 3 months later saying I was wrong and that was the price. I explained the discrepancy and they would not honor it.

There are so many great restaurants in Los Angeles with better parking, better food and more ho eat management so I choose to give my honest feelings about this restaurant. I am a fair reviewer for many years and spend tens of thousands of dollars dining out so have to be happy where I dine. I will never go to Kazan again and hope you go in with open eyes and really review your check as any charges that are incorrect will be deemed permanent by management and owners. Dine here at your own risk.

Kazan is an upscale Japanese fusion restaurant that serves soba noodles in Beverly Hills. They have a nice little patio for outdoor dining and the first customer of the day gets a bowl of free ramen!

I went here over a year ago. My favorite appetizer was the shrimp tempura as the sauce was flavorful. As for the entrรฉe, my pick would be the soy broth soba with chashu wonton. It has a clear chicken broth drizzled with truffle oil. However, the broth was too salty for us. The chashu and wontons were nicely seasoned. Despite the overly salty broth, their #1 soba is still my #1.

Their food presentation is no doubt top-notch but I think thereโ€™s room for improvement especially about the saltiness. Their wagyu carpaccio was too salty as well. For the lamb in lava, the chili peppers overpowered the broth but it wasnโ€™t too spicy for me.

The owner and server were so nice and friendly as they were constantly checking in with the customer. I messaged the team about the taste and they appreciated my honest feedback. Thank you for your hospitality and I will come back in the future.

What I ordered:
A5 Wagyu Ribeye Carpaccio (topped with chives, fresh ginger, and homemade yuzu-soy sauce) $25โฃ
Shrimp Tempura $15 โฃ
#1 Soy Base Soba with Chashu & Wonton (with truffle seasoning) $20
Lamb in Lava (served with lamb chops, cilantro, and spices) $36

I came to Kazan a little over a week ago with a friend for an early dinner and had overall a pretty pleasant time. We ordered the crispy wontons as well as the sake wings to start and the โ€˜lamb in lavaโ€™ plus the truffle soba. The starters were good and I appreciated that they served all these deep fried items with greens to make me feel a little less guilty although letโ€™s be honest I never felt guilty. I will say I had some pretty high hopes for the lamb in lava but overall it was really just noodles in a sort of Szechuan tasting broth that didnโ€™t really hit me the way I thought it would. Sure it was spicy but nothing too crazy although my friend loved it saying it reminded him more of a Hungarian soup. The lamb felt kind of overcooked which made sense since it was submerged in a boiling brother and ended up being sort of chewy. The truffle soba was pretty rich and delicious though. Unfortunately not really a place I can see myself running back to.
