Ok. This place is rad. Very much a vibe. Dark, moody, quaint. Some people are more dressed up but I’ve seen many people in cute jogger sets, so don’t feel like you can’t wear something more casual. They have lunch and dinner BUT I do recommend you sit at the bar and get the “off menu” cheesesteak. Look, I’m from Philly. The steak is a good steak. Only gave 4/5 stars because they don’t have anything extra but ketchup to put on your cheesesteak. You don’t really need to add anything as it’s AMAZING on its own BUT I like mayo on my cheesesteak. Don’t judge. Shoutout to Ashley for the major hospitality. (Cheesesteak only sold at the bar)

Great aesthetic here. Too bad the cheesesteak is only offered for lunch at the bar (the rest of the restaurant is shut down at lunch). This means a wait to get a seat, even on weekdays. The lunch menu had a cheesesteak, a salad and potato chips. Period. No fries. No options. The salad was WAY WAY over dressed and floating in salad dressing. Do NOT order the salad. The chips were fine but cold (why they don’t keep them under a heat lamp is beyond me). The cheesesteak was delicious. The sesame bread was fantastic. The meat was tender and the hot pepper was a perfect compliment. I would go back for the cheesesteak. Be warned, 18% service fee added to ALL CHECKS irrespective of party size. It’s a pricey lunch - but perfect to share one sandwich as it’s too filling for one person IMO.

A marvelous elevated twist on a steakhouse experience at a surprisingly great value for Beverly Hills in the Omakase options. Truly decadent cuts of meat served in elegant formats, one will not yearn for a heftier beef punch as this meets a traditional steakhouse on that measure, and one will be swept away by the charming ambience and unique formats to enjoy the delicious meat.

We had an amazing dining experience at Matu Steakhouse with a group of five, and I can’t recommend it enough. We opted for the Lock, Stock & Barrel option, and it provided more than enough food for our group. The highlight of the meal was definitely the French fries cooked in beef tallow. Absolutely incredible and very flavorful!

All of the steak options were cooked to perfection, and the picanha skewers with tahini sauce stole the show. The combination of foods and flavors were a hit. The intimate setting of the restaurant made the experience feel special, and while it’s a relatively small space, it’s perfect for a cozy meal with friends or family.

The service was great, and we appreciated the valet parking, considering the lack of street parking availability. At the time of this review, valet parking was $13. Overall, Matu exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

I wrote an incredibly long and self-indulgent review before I realized I was insane. To summarize, I like Matu even though I am very much offended by how well the "Sugarfish formula" works on me.

I would say more than anything else, I enjoyed how nice everyone was, from the owner, to the server to the greeter, everyone was very nice and really enjoyable to be around. One of the few times I've ever regretted not being able to tip.

The food is very consistent and exactly to my tastes, if you like things that taste sous vide/reversed sear (don't know, just guessing) you should like the meat here. Couldn't really tell it was grass fed or American Wagyu, but it was all prime cuts that tasted good.

Lunch cheesesteak was also exceptionally nice, although I suspect some people won't like how the pepper has actual measurable heat to it.

Avoid 24-hour bone broth and Chips. 24-hour bone broth essentially tastes like jello, beef bullion, and onion soup powder (not saying it is, just tasted like). Chips were terrible which is bizarre because their fries are amazing. Other reviews claim the chips were good so maybe I had a bad batch but if so, they're inconsistent and how can you, in a commercial kitchen, mess up chips unless you weren't paying attention?

Get the fries. They're amazing.

Matu is great. I’ve been twice now. Ordered off the regular menu and then had the Philly cheesesteak at the bar. Little gem salad was phenomenal, cheesesteak could lose the hot pepper. I feel like pickled onions would smack on them instead of turning up the head with the green pepper. Beef tallow fries and chips were so delicious.

Matu offers an elevated dining experience with exceptional attention to detail in their dishes. The beef tartare was perfectly seasoned, and the short rib was incredibly tender and flavorful, paired with a creamy sauce that really stood out. The ambiance was elegant and intimate, with a beautiful open kitchen that added a unique touch to the experience.

However, I wish they had made an extra effort to celebrate my wife’s birthday, perhaps with a small dessert or acknowledgment—it would have added a special touch to the evening. Additionally, while the quality of the meat was excellent, I would have appreciated the option to adjust the temperature of the meat to better suit personal preferences.

The service was attentive, and the overall experience was lovely, but those small adjustments would have made it perfect.

The Best Steakhouse in Southern California.

An amazing restaurant and staff. So kind and warm. The food was amazing. Rustic 32oz rib eye cooked to perfection and gave us a sample of the chips fried in grassfed beef tallow. Yum. The drinks were on point. Was it a little expensive? Kinda yeah. Was the grassfed steak worth it? Absolutely.

Why did I choose this restaurant? I was looking for the best grass fed steaks possible. The list of restaurants that offered this was very limited. It seems other establishments offer grassfed as a side note because they are trying to fit a trend. This restaurant on the other hand seems to do it right from the ground up. Mindful of using beef tallow to the grass, fed meats, organic vegetables really was a game changer for me. If you know anyone who used to be a vegan or is considering switching from being a vegan then this is the restaurant you want them to taste the highest quality beef available as far as I know in Southern California, possibly the West Coast. We need to expect this level of quality and mindfulness when it comes to our food from all food establishments. Imagine this standard of quality being available at all price points. Would it make it less special? No. The service staff ambience all made this dining experience amazing and special.

From the way, they cook the meat to the car the chef sliced my steak, which was a 32 ounce rustic grass fed Wagyu plate of deliciousness. To the care that our waitress gave I enjoyed the whole dining experience.

Next is to try their philly cheesesteak during lunch. Best meat you can get in los angeles county or perhaps all of socal.

I will say that they do have this strange service fee though. When I went, it was about 17% separate from tip and tax. I think they only charge this when you pay with a credit card when you set a reservation ask them about this fee. When your bill comes out to about $300 it's almost an extra $60 even with this the meal was worth it.

I try to get as near as good and high-quality grass fed pasture, raised beef and cook it at home, which I would say is leagues above 99% of the steakhouses here in California. If I can't get at home, this is the one place where I wanna get my steaks.

Not bad. Grass-fed New Zealand wagyu. Not too gamey and not too marbled. I do think they tend to undercook the steaks so don’t be afraid to order medium.

Came for lunch. Lunch seating is only at the bar, so there can be a wait but service is quick and the food comes out fast. Vibe of the restaurant is very nice, hope to come back for dinner some time.

The cheesesteak itself is solid. Meat and bread are fantastic.. but could use a bit more cheese.

Chips are cooked in beef fat and very good.

Automatic 18% auto gratuity. 2 sandwiches and 1 order of chips comes out to $65.

Would return if in the area but would not travel for this sandwich.

OMG the steak! I have been to all the so-called "best of LA steakhouses" and this is at the top of the list. The steak was like butter and cooked perfectly. I am a huge meat eater and have been to New Zealand a dozen times and I will say this is authentic based on my personal experience. Exceptional and attentive service in a no-tip environment is a welcome reprieve. The tables are a bit close and we had to strain to hear each other over the yelling table next to us

Really delicious and modern steakhouse. I love how it is not heavy like traditional steakhouses. It feels streamlined and minimalist like Sugarfish (same parent company) while having a more upscale atmosphere and providing mire menu options. I really enjoyed both of my visits to this restaurant so far. I have had all the steak tartar and carpaccio options, all excellent. Also the salads, pasta from Uuovo, ribeye and filets I tried were all very tasty. The chocolate cake was to die for. I can’t wait to try the philly cheesesteak another time.

90% of the menu is wagyu beef and I don’t eat beef LOL

My BF took me here with his guests from Washington DC who loves steak.

He fell in love with this restaurant. He said the steak is awesome.
His gf also ordered lobster and he seems to like his gf’s lobster.
I bet the menu is good because he seems like a hardcore foodie.

I like the ragu and french fries.
I don’t like how noisy and cold the place is on friday night.

The waitress is pretty and so friendly. She gave good suggestions.

I think I won’t go back here again because I don’t eat beef but for beef lovers, you must come here.

One more thing, they don’t accept tipping in this restaurant but there is additional charge of 18%.

For 4 people, we spent $600 for 1 steak, 1 lobster, 2 veggies, 1 french fries, 1 ragu, 2 salad, 1 mushroom, 1 bottle of wine, 2 cocktails, 3 soda drinks, and 3 desserts.

Most of the dishes are small size.

We ordered the Matu set for 2 (in my opinion is the winner of the sets) and every single dish that came out was amazing. All the meats were cooked perfectly pink in the center and even the braised beef cheek melts in your mouth.

Side dishes of bone tallow fries and creamed spinach wow. Fries were crispy and tasty - wish it was a bigger portion. Creamed spinach was so rich in cheese that you can barely taste the spinach.

The ambience is a little too dark, which I get for a cozy feeling but the sound proofing can be better cos it’s hard to have a conversation.

Amazing restaurant. After trying out several well known steak houses in LA, matu finally satisfied my craving for high quality beef. All grass fed wagyu for a very reasonable price point. The Meat 🍖 is Halal from First Light Farms, but they serve Alcohol and if you want to order the Philly Cheese Steak, they force you to sit at the Bar 🍸 and smell the stink of Alcohol without making any exceptions or being considerate that you don’t drink alcohol.

They have way too many rules that don't make any sense - like no “to go” orders; you can only order 1 Philly Cheese Steak per person. You can literally get seated at the bar, order, and then pack the whole thing, but you can’t order to go?! (I think it's some kind of scam to make you pay 18% percent gratuity and tax at the same time.)

Ryan, one of the owners and managers at the restaurant, doesn't know what he is doing and honestly should be replaced in a customer facing role.

Overall, not a Muslim friendly restaurant in service or environment. I would recommend purchasing halal waygu directly from the source or visiting any of the other quality restaurant choices in the area.

High quality restaurant in Beverly Hills that takes beef very seriously. Came here for dinner with my family prior to a show at the Geffen, and made a reservation online in advance. Indoor seating only. Credit cards accepted. My sister and I had the ribeye dinner for two (4 courses), while my mom opted for the filet dinner (3 courses), and my dad got the picanha dinner (4 courses). You can order a la carte if you wish as well. We got an order of the beef tallow fries and while they were good to munch on, I wish we had gotten the mushrooms instead. They bring out courses as they’re ready so if you order one less course than the rest of your party, note that you will end your meal earlier than others (unless they are willing to share!). You don’t need to choose how to cook your meat as the restaurant decides - rest assured you’re in good hands. The fazzoletti pasta from Uovo that came in my mom’s course was outstanding and we all really liked the Japanese Caesar that came in the ribeye dinner. Portions were on the smaller side but everything was very high quality and we left feeling satisfied. We got the flourless chocolate cake for dessert as our waiter mentioned that it was the most popular choice and it was indeed delectable. There garage parking across the street that’s free for the first 90 minutes. The vibes were dark and sophisticated, and a lot of people seemed to be celebrating a birthday during the time we were there. Overall, a really yummy spot for those who enjoy steak.

This restaurant is everything wrong with Los Angeles in a nut shell.

I ordered two Philly cheesesteaks (which were far from authentic). One for me and one for my friend who was in route to the restaurant.

My friend was running late. The waiter was bringing out both sandwiches to the bar and the manager stopped the waiter and told him to bring one of the sandwiches back to the kitchen. I assumed they were keeping the sandwich hot in the kitchen until my friend arrived.

The manager then approached me several times and said they can’t bring the second sandwich to the bar until my friend arrives. I told him he was running late and would arrive in about 10 minutes. The manager then said, you’ll need to order his sandwich within 5 minutes because the kitchen is closing.

I was so confused as I already ordered his sandwich. I told the manager, I already ordered his sandwich. The manager then said, oh we threw that away.

This was really painful to hear. I can’t believe they would throw away a perfectly good sandwich when there are starving children in the world, much less starving people right here in LA.

When I conveyed this to the manager he laughed.

First of all, I have had many Philly cheesesteaks in my lifetime, including ones from famous cheesesteak restaurants in Philadelphia. This cheesesteak is mediocre at best.

Second of all, the staff is extremely pretentious and in a city like LA, where there are so many amazing restaurants, I wouldn’t waste my time and money supporting an establishment which has mediocre food and zero moral compass.

Lastly, they don’t allow you to tip their servers. Servers are literally not allowed to accept tips. This is the most mediocre, overpriced, smug and morally bankrupt restaurant I have ever been to.

So this review is for the lunch service. First time here, and to be honest I came to try the instagram recommended matu philly cheese steak they are raving about. To my suprise there was wait list. A local recommended getting there at 1130am when they open to get a spot. I waited for about 20min before I was seated. I realized they only open thier bar section for lunch, which seats 15 people max, and thier only open from 1130am to 2pm. I ordered thier matu philly cheese steak, and thier chips. The food came out at a timely manner. The sandwich was pretty good. It had good flavor, you couldn't really see any cheese. It seemed to have melted into the meat. It has a huge slice of green bell pepper, because it didn't taste like a chili or jalapeno. That being said, the sandwich did have good flavor. It was greasy, and it came out super hot, fresh off the grill. Is it worth $25, I'll let you decide, but it's very different from a original philly cheese steak. The chips where house made chips. The menu states its made with wagu oil, but if you don't get it, your not missing out on anything. What i found odd throughout my dining experience was the bar staff. They seemed out of touch. Very robotic, not personable or very service minded. It's as if they where doing the job as if someone was keeping an eye on them. No conversation, no emotion, no personality. It may be a Beverly hills thing, but it seemed odd. Or it may be a time and seating limit thing, that they are just trying to get people in and out as fast as you can in 2hrs service. Also, they dont accept tips, that's because they already charge you 18% service fee, as they call it on your bill. Do with that information what you will. Either way, another instagram hype not worth the hype for me. But the sandwich is good, just not $25 good. You can get something comparable at other sandwich shops in LA for way cheaper, and your definitely not there for the service or atmosphere.

~ This is Not a fine dining establishment ~

The menu is both limited and misleading, offering a few variations of about four mediocre main dishes, presenting the "Matú dinner for two" as $87, when it is, in fact, $87 per person, leading to a bill higher than most restaurants of the caliber this establishment was trying to emulate, and offering a few variations on two desserts, both of which were beyond subpar.

I spent around $300 on dinner for two, and, while a good amount of food was provided, the food, again, was mediocre, excessively oily, and grossly overpriced. We got much better and more filling meals at Ardor for around $200, where the starters, steak, seafood, and desserts were all beyond acceptable and still come up in conversation months later.

The ambiance mimicked a modern gourmet hole in the wall experience, which it made a decently convincing mockery of with the notable exception that there were dated rock songs and oldies perpetually and cacophonously forming a disruptive din in the restaurant. No part of the atmosphere resembled a classy or upscale establishment except for other formally presented clientele who had been similarly misled. With tables only inches away from each other, loud classless music, and casually clad and styled staff, the structure, music, and atmosphere within the establishment were described by more than one person as resemblant of a bar.

The service was good and they were adamant about recognizing our anniversary, likely because they don't host many special occasions, though the water was left on the table in a carafe and I had to pour it myself, again detracting from the establishments status as "upscale."

After this experience, I waited for an exceeding period for the valet to return my car to find, after it arrived, being driven aggressively, that the valet had moved my seat considerably forward and tilted it back, which was not done at Ardor.

I cannot recommend enough that you take your business elsewhere. We still had an amazing anniversary, but it was in spite of the restaurant, not because of it.

Nothing extra ordinary. Their Philly cheesesteak can’t says it was something that I would want to go back. Charley’s Philly cheesesteak much better. To Spent $31 for this sandwich was probably waste of money. Even for pick up they charge 18% tip which is insane. Unless the food was so good, that you wouldn’t notice it the cost.

Celebrated my anniversary with my boyfriend here, perfect spot to do it.
It’s warm and inviting, cozy and dimly lit in a nice way. We got the shared course meal and it was delicious! Highly recommend, the piccante was excellent! We also got a side of the potatoes and that was tasty as well.

Came for the steak, which was amazing, but fell in love with the garlic bread! It was quite funny to watch other people’s reactions when they tried it too. I’m not sure how they make it but it’s heavenly. Only downside was there was a long wait time for our booked table and then got asked to move midway into dinner. They did comp us a glass of wine though ☺️ oh and don’t forget to get the flourless chocolate cake if you have room

Their ribeye is seriously one of the best-l'd totally recommend giving it a try! I don't know if it's because the waitress told us how healthy the beef before we ordered, but it actually did feel lighter than other steaks I've had without sacrificing flavor.

We opted for the Matu wagyu dinner for two. I thought the portions were a bit small. Service, though? Top-notch. The dim lighting gives off that cozy vibe, and the music and buzz from people around make the place lively-a great spot for a date, if you're cool with the price.

Heads up: there's an 18% mandatory fee included, and no tips allowed. Also, street parking's metered.

Matu Steakhouse is an absolute gem in Los Angeles! I'm not one to typically write reviews, but my experience here was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share.

The moment you step inside, you're welcomed by a great vibe that sets the perfect tone for any occasion. It's an ideal spot for date nights, birthdays, or any celebration you have in mind. The ambiance is cozy, elegant, and just what you need for a memorable evening.

The staff at Matu Steakhouse deserve a special mention. They are not only attentive and friendly, but they go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. Their knowledge of the menu and their recommendations were spot on.

Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show! The steak at Matu is unbelievably tender, cooked to perfection, and seasoned just right. It's a carnivore's dream come true. But it doesn't stop there; the Caesar salad is not to be missed (pro-tip: add a side of grilled mushrooms on top for the perfect smoky twist), the mashed potatoes are heavenly, and the and cocktails are well balanced.

Matu has truly mastered the art of making every dish a masterpiece. If you appreciate a good steak and exceptional food in an inviting atmosphere, this is the place to be. Make sure you don't miss out on the espresso martini – best I’ve ever had.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed, and like me, you might find yourself writing a review to spread the word about this exceptional dining experience. Sit at the bar for a fun vibe!

The cheesesteaks that they serve are only available if you sit at the bar but the space is very limited so to sit on a high chairs there will probably be a wait line if you come during lunch. The food is good but 2 cheesesteaks with chips and a salad to share will run you close to $100. Not kid friendly. Advice to management would be to open up the tables to guests are more comfortable

We arrived @ 6:50 for a 7PM reservation for two and weren’t seated until 7:25. Not a great start to a meal especially when you see other tables at later reservation times sitting before you. The inside is the sort of environment I like, very dark and styled well, with a big bar and many different seating options. Our server was polite, but he forgot our drink refill twice and then took awhile for him to stop by after we finished to take our dessert order or bring the check. We wanted to do dessert, but after waiting so long we decided to just grab the check and do froyo. Parking can be a bit tricky, we were able to find meter street parking (must pay if before 9PM) or they also offer valet.

We started off the the 24 Hour Bone Broth and the Japanese Style Steak Tartare. The broth was salty and tasty but a bit overpriced at $9. The tartare thought was fabulous. It had a great flavor and we really enjoyed it. For the entree we shared a 10oz Center Cut Pichana and it was also terrific. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very juicy and we both enjoyed it very much. They were out of the filet, and all ribeyes except the very large one, so we were also short on option choices.

Overall a very good meal, but the half an hour wait time to be seated was really unnecessary. I do plan to try it again for lunch to try their well-known Philly Cheesesteak and would try it again for dinner given how good the steak was, just hope they have more meat cut options next time.

MY #1 TOP SENSATIONAL SANDWICH OF ALL TIME! This is the best Philly cheesesteak I have ever had. The sesame baguette is light and crisp, meat is piled up and juicy, the pepper is the perfect heat; there isn't really anything you could do to make this sandwich better. Most places use bell peppers but Matu uses roasted Long Hot peppers. They delivery heavy on the pepper flavor and a mild-medium on the heat. If you aren't a fan of spicy, I would order your sandwich without em. They Also use real cheese instead of cheese whiz. No its not traditional but then again, nothing about this sandwich is. They're redefining the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Matu uses First Light beef exclusively which means all their beef is HALAL!!! I ordered a side of potato chips. They're deep fried in wagyu beef tallow. Imagine Lay's potato chips but thicker, crispy, and flavorful. The only complaint I have is with the ordering system. It's only available to-go through Postmates. I forgot to ask but you may be able to place a phone order. For 3 sandwiches and 3 chips, I paid $15 in "fees". Also, 5 minutes after ordering, I got a notification the order was ready. Great! Except when I got there 10 minutes later, I still had to wait another 5 minutes for my order. Bizarre. I hope they're able to get something else worked out on the ordering process. But nonetheless, you NEED to add this place to your list of restaurants to visit.

One singular word for the cheesesteak. Sensational.
Do yourself a favor and get that. Nothing else.
The marriage of bread, the meat, the pepper, the cheese is the best thing I’ve tried in a while.

You know that one scene in ratatouille where that one rat tries cheese and a strawberry together. That was me when I tried this sando.

If you like to eat food prepared the way you like it, this restaurant is not for you. They refuse to make exceptions. It’s absolutely ridiculous. When I go to a restaurant I want to eat food the way I want to eat it not the way they want to serve it.

Delicious steakhouse with Japanese flair.

I have always wanted to get a true Wagyu steak in Los Angeles. While this isn't the A5 Steak directly from Japan, the meat is 100% Grass fed from New Zealand and they have their own Wagyu methodology.

We did the the Matu Dinner for 2 and it was incredible. I absolutely loved every single bit of meat, it was always pink and juicy.

I wouldn't go here if you are expecting a diverse course, every item in the tasting menu was steak oriented, which I absolutely loved. Each cut of meat did have a unique texture and seasoning to it.

Definitely recommend this place for groups or a good date night.

The meat is excellent, perhaps the best I’ve had. But the portions are micro. The bone broth is a little larger than a shot glass. The Thai steak salad was about the size of my fist (I’m a woman). Our 16oz rib eye looked like it was 10 oz. We had to get a second dinner afterwards.

The restaurant was cold, as well. You had to eat with your coat or sweater on.

The servers were good, and tip was included, which I liked.

You shouldn’t leave a steak dinner hungry. We won’t be back.

So, my reviews are normally fairly brief. However, this joint exceeded all of our expectations. We chose to celebrate our 29th anniversary here. We sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation and were served an incredible, dirty martini. Unlike other restaurants, the bartender said to us, don't worry about paying for this, we will just add it to your dinner tab. We then ordered the five-course meal that Matu is famous for, along with their commitment to serving grass-fed Wagyu beef. I can't say enough about every single course. Incredible! Incredible incredible! The hostess made sure to talk to us about our long marriage. The server wished us a happy anniversary followed by the manager coming over later in the meal making sure everything was okay and thanking us for celebrating our anniversary with them. As you walk to your table or back to the restroom, staff members stopped, moved out of the way and made you feel like a million dollars. I don't know if we've ever had a better meal or experience at a restaurant in our entire lives.

Disappointment, I wish I looked at the reviews before coming . I ordered a spicy margarita, it was sweet and not up to par. It took 30 minutes just to get our first course (Shrimp cocktail), we did see people who came after us get their food first which was a bummer to see. Another 30 minutes before getting our next course and they didn’t check in one time when we started our steak and I see the people around me getting checked in on. We came for a special occasion so that just didn’t feel great. There so many great restaurants in LA that gives you great food in a normal time frame and superior service. So never going back. Two stars for the quality of the steak but even that wasn’t mind blowing

I really really wanted to like this place but left disappointed with the service and hungry.

Looking at pictures on yelp the food looked amazing and I was excited to have the Halal Waygu.
Why I left disappointed:
I arrived 10 minutes before my party and asked if I can order a few appetisers. The waitress says No, you can’t order until your group arrives. She says she can’t. Ok, no big deal.

I then ask if they are serving the philly steak sandwich which looks great and is posted all over their IG, she says again NO, I can have it only at the bar or order at the bar to go. I don’t drink, so there goes that. She says she can’t. Ok, the bar is 10 ft away and we just want to try it.

We order the tasting menu and we ask if it is enough food, keep in mind we are ready to eat! She says it is, didn’t trust her judgment, so we ordered an extra steak, lobster tails, veggies and shrimp cocktails.

The other waiters kept bringing other table plates to our table then coming back and taking them to the right one. This place is not that big, so hard to get confused.

Between courses is inconsistent time, it is like come on already, we want to eat.

I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail sauce, so I asked 3 different waiters for some and was ignored. Any question or request was a big NO. Our waitress says let me see and doesn’t come back until we are done. She says she isn’t allowed.

So now I am really disappointed, too many rules, especially for the price. What happened to putting the customer first. I ask her for the manager, she says he is not available and walks off. That is what really pushed for this review, on top of the bad service, you don’t want to call over a manager!?!

I call over the hostess, nice guy, I ask him for a manager and he says he is one of them. I tell him about the above situation and he responds that this restaurant is not made to bust out philly steak sandwiches, ok why you feature it all over your social media. Then he says he doesn’t know why they wouldn’t bring the sauce. He takes the bill and and is happy to charge us the $800 for 4 people.

There is an 18% charge which says it is not the tip. Maybe you should allow tips for better service. All I got was no we can’t all night for some simple requests. Half the dinner experience is the food and the other is for the service. The service killed the mood, especially 4 of us celebrating our birthdays.

The portions are small and definitely do not look like 12-13oz portions. They don’t ask for steak temperatures, you get it raw. The portions are small, the staff is lost and does not care to make the customer happy. This place can be amazing!

The ambiance is cute, reminds me of a trendy NYC restaurant. They play nice music softly in the background and it’s a cool vibe for date night. The drinks including wine are incredible . Reason for my review is the food. We went here for my husbands birthday. If you’re pregnant and can’t eat a pink/bloody piece of meat this is not the place for you . I mentioned that I could not eat anything undercooked or too red to the server ahead of time. He said if it wasn’t to my liking they could try to address. I ordered the rib eye and my husband ordered the New York strip both were overly pink and when we brought it up the manager was nice and came by and offered us a hot plate to warm the steak.. now I feel like I’m at a hibachi grill lol and honestly the whole process turned me off and ruined my appetite. I ended up eating fries for my dinner and my husband had nothing. The manager came over and comped one of the two barley eaten steaks . Total fail for the night and waste of money .
