We happened to come on a slow night, but everything was 10/10. Service was fantastic, particularly Claudine & Willie, but truly everyone on 12/30/24. Would recommend the hotel based on this experience

I struggled a bit with this review bc our experience was pretty good overall. had a really nice outdoor rooftop situation. the service was really great. food was delish. but here’s my issue. they didn’t have a cocktail menu (or at least i wasn’t give one) so i just asked if i could get an aperol spritz assuming the cost would be on par with other higher-end brunch places in beverly hills. they were $28 apiece!! lol… wtf?? and i’m pretty certain they didn’t put Dom in the glass. i expected to pay a premium to eat here but good Lord don’t have any alcohol if you go!! 😂

Nothing really fancy about the food, went here for the ambiance and vibe. Perfect for brunch dates or lunch dates.

We have not really got a chance to try their entree as we are already full from the starters we ordered. We split everything and there was four of us with quite an appetite so they probably have a huge serving.

Definitely make a reservation as they tend to be fully booked.

The Scallops and Peach Cream Brulee are delicious. We would like to see more options in the handcrafted signature cocktails menu. As expected, the service is refined and attentive. We are locals, and there are many dining/cocktail experiences nearby, the Roof Garden is a favored location.

It’s mostly a positive experience here at the Peninsula. All the dishes were good except the hamachi and the Wagyu. The hamachi was a bit over cooked so for a fatty fish it was quite dry. The wagyu flavour was very interesting. It almost reminded me of Cantonese bbq pork. A bit of sweetness and char. We ordered medium rare, but pretty sure was medium well or more. Again for a fatty piece of meat it was quite dry. But all the appys were very well and the whole sea bream was fantastic. Drinks well. Love the service. Prices not too crazy.

Relaxing place for a quick light meal. It’s next to the pool and the atmosphere is very nice. It’s mostly reserved for hotel guests, but sometimes they make exceptions.
We tried The Impossible Burger, it was very good and the fries were delicious.

Riccardo provided extremely high quality customer service. His charming nature and kindness made me feel welcome. Excellent food in a relaxing environment with low-lying views of this Beverly Hills nook. I had a Mezcal drink and a Tequila drink, both were generously strong and delicious. The burger was juicy and scrumptious with perfectly crisp battered fries and crispy, smoky bacon. The staff are very caring, polite, civilized, and attentive. I would highly recommend.

The food was delicious, I went there with some friends for brunch!! Some order breakfast and some salad and fish for lunch!! All the food was delicious! The service was great and the waiters were very nice and friendly! I loved the atmosphere there! I would go there again!

Wait staff is selective as to whom they provide excellent service to … my party waited 15 minutes for water and 20 for our order to be taken with 1 checkin from the waiter while some diners were serviced as soon as they were seated and fawned over their entire meal.. disappointing and ridiculous —

Delicious food in a lovely setting with a view of the LA skyline and pool. Service was very attentive and prices were reasonable. They provide validation for reduced cost valet parking or you can use the street parking in front of the hotel. Definitely our new favorite spot for dinner in Beverly Hills!

The Roof Top Garden is a wonderful addition to the impeccable Peninsula Hotel, Beverly Hills. Its casual atmosphere allows for a comfortable and serene experience of 5 Star cuisine. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic to serve; all it takes is an ask and your request is met. The space has gone through multiple face-lifts. Each a design beautiful unto itself. Be sure to treat yourself and friends to the Rooftop Garden. Hopefully you can visit off peak hours and really drink in the spectacular views. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed.

My (then) fiancee and I made a reservation weeks in advance at The Roof Garden to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family -- total party was 12.

We decided on The Roof Garden with excitement...this was a once in a lifetime opportunity where friends and family from across the globe were all in one place, having just celebrated our wedding an hour earlier.

Unfortunately, The Roof Garden badly missed the mark. We had a terrible experience. I am strongly cautioning anyone from spending any time or money there, ESPECIALLY if you're doing so to celebrate a major milestone in your life. Especially if you don't fit the visibly rich/white archetype, which absolutely made a difference as described below. You only get those moments once, and there are no redos. I wish we could go back in time, but we can't.

Specific issues:

Extremely poor, inattentive service. The Garden wasn't even at capacity or close to it. We were by far the largest party, yet weren't offered any water and couldn't get our order even taken for 15+ minutes (meanwhile, surrounding tables are receiving attentive service and prompt food/drink delivery) Once our orders were taken, the drinks were made by their single bartender one at a time, taking another 15+ minutes for all the drinks to be made. When it finally came time for the food, several more issues;

1. One member of our party ordered a Steak Sandwich and received Steak and Eggs; had to be sent back.
2. One member of our party ordered a dish that came with ingredients that were unlisted in the menu that the member was allergic to; had to be sent back.
3. One member of our party straight up never received their dish until I hassled several different Peninsula staff members about it. Everyone ate their entire meal before that member even received their dish...we are talking 20+ minutes after food started arriving. And what was their dish that took so long? A turkey sandwich.

I spent over 700 dollars for an objectively terrible experience that The Roof Garden and Peninsula hotel did absolutely nothing to make right or acknowledge. They knew it was our wedding lunch, they knew they did badly, they just didn't care.

Don't make the same mistake I did; do not go to The Roof Garden or to the Peninsula Hotel.

The cream brulee with peaches and scallops is delicious. We wish the handcrafted signature cocktail menu offered more choices. The service is elegant and attentive, as expected. We are locals, and there are lots of dining and cocktail options nearby; one popular spot is the Roof Garden.

My first time to this location and was I ever pleased. The menu is impressive and prices were reasonable for the location of this restaurant. The roof top is beautiful and hard to be on a nice weather night or day. If you go, tell them I sent you. #thepuddingcreektrestle

The food is good but not great. The soup and salads were very good. The wagyu beef not so much. Had a sweet glaze on it which ruins the taste of the meat. Given how The Peninsula is known for its customer service, I was surprised that the wait staff were not more attentive. All in all it was an underwhelming experience.

Swanky yet cozy, a hard combination to achieve but attained here. Brimming with beautiful and well dressed people. Service was good as well. Food and drinks were decent and nicely presented. Just wish they (& other establishments actually..) would seat bigger parties near best views in the house.

Very bad service at the rooftop restaurant. Had to ask for the waitress everytime when I needed something. This is a 65 of age and over place. While waiting for uber, my wife was on Instagram and they came and said turn it off while there was nobody around. Never going back to this place again until I'm 65 for a tea party.

While my wife and I pack for a trip to the Peninsula we always talk about how we are looking forward to breakfast on the rooftop. The wait staff is superb, the food is excellent and it’s just a calm, unrushed atmosphere. It truly is one of our favorite experiences and my other favorite feature is… You see plenty of celebrities and not one other guest turns their head or pulls out their phone. And this trip was no exception!!! Can’t wait to go back

Really nice outdoor ambiance on the rooftop, excellent food and great service. We ordered from their special BBQ menu. I had the grilled octopus which was fantastic and done to perfection. Octopus can be rubbery when not cooked correctly. Mine was tender and very flavorful. My friend had the brisket which he raved about.

Service was also very attentive and friendly. Living in Southern California, its nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy good cusine. About only thing we didn't like was the corkage fee. At $35 its a bit steep but guess for LA that's kind of the norm unfortunately.

On Valentine's Day I expected a lot more out of the food. Short ribs and dessert were good but everything else was lacking. Service was great. Waiters and help were very nice and prompt. Had a musician playing guitar. Good atmosphere. Just thought the food should have been better.
