Located within the legendary Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, CUT Beverly Hills is a Michelin-recommended steakhouse by Chef Wolfgang Puck. Offering a modern take on the classic steakhouse experience, this flagship location is renowned for its exquisite cuts of beef, including Japanese Wagyu, as well as fresh seafood and shellfish. Whether dining in our sleek, contemporary restaurant or in the intimate setting of our private dining room, Petit CUT, guests will enjoy impeccable service. Perfect for date night, special occasions, or celebratory events, CUT Beverly Hills is one of the top steakhouses in Los Angeles, seamlessly blending gourmet cuisine with excellence.
My husband and I had been curious about Cut for a while, so I decided to surprise him with a visit. We were excited and came in with high expectations. While it wasn’t a terrible experience, it didn’t quite live up to what we’d hoped for.
The steaks were a bit tough, which was surprising given the restaurant’s reputation. On the flip side, the butter lettuce salad was phenomenal—probably one of the best I’ve ever had, and I don’t even consider myself a salad person.
What dampened the experience most, however, was the service. While the food runners were attentive and hard-working, our server seemed distracted and disengaged. For a meal at this price point, we expected more attention to detail and professionalism. Simple touches, like presenting the different cuts of meat, were skipped at our table but offered to others nearby, which left us feeling overlooked.
While I’m glad we had the chance to try Cut, I’m not sure it’s a place we’ll come back to. At this price point, exceptional service should match the quality of the food, and unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for us.

Reviewing restaurants and food can be a challenging task, as opinions can vary greatly and personal experiences play a significant role. Upon arrival at the restaurant, one is immediately struck by the beauty of the hotel, with its elegant chandeliers and inviting atmosphere. The valet service, while attentive, may come across as overly eager to park cars in prime spots, which may not always be necessary. Upon leaving, I handed $100 bill with my ticket and the polite gentleman thanked me and walked away. I did not ask for my car to be taken care of or parked in front. I wanted my change but none was given. So much for a Porsche!
The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated but may be considered plain by some. The food, however, is exceptional, though the prices may not be suitable for everyone. A basic dinner for two resulted in a bill totaling $1000, which may be considered steep compared to other high-end establishments such as BOA Steakhouse or Mastros, where a similar meal may cost $400-$500, including luxurious items like black caviar. For 2 People!
Despite the high prices, the quality of the food and the exceptional service provided by the servers were highlights of the dining experience. However, the cost of items such as a $50-$75 old fashioned cocktail may be seen as excessive when compared to other establishments. It tasted just as bad as Crown Apply Royal on ice which is usually $12-$15 dollars!
While the food was enjoyable, the overall experience may not justify the steep prices, leading to a decision not to return in the future.

My family and I were staying at the Regent Beverly Wilshire last summer and had a delicious meal while dining at Wolfgang Puck’s CUT Steakhouse. I’ve dined at several Wolfgang puck restaurants, and I have never been disappointed. The service was excellent as was the food. Wolfgang Puck also came out and greeted every diner at every table personally giving freely of himself and answering any questions that were asked of him. He’s an extremely friendly and hospitable man. The steaks were delicious and I still think about the endive salad that I had Months later.

Cut steak house was everything we expected and more. The food was exceptional. The level of detail of service was outstanding. No amount of positive adjectives could describe the service, the food, and atmosphere accurately. Simply WOW. Every person we came into contact with, from the hostess to the back server made a point to wish my husband a happy birthday. My husband described the coffee as Devine and he is right. Big thank you to George our waiter and Ricky our back server for making our evening enjoyable and memorable.

I had dinner here. Both the food and service were excellent. I ordered the Dry Aged Ribeye. The tenderness and flavor of the meat were on point. It's a good idea to make a reservation to avoid any wait. Wolfgang Puck even stopped by to shake hands and check on the service, which was the perfect finishing touch to a great evening.

Everything was exceptional! Our server Caesar was very friendly and gave us great recommendations. The black truffle salad was vibrant and fresh, the bread was hot and fluffy, the tomahawk steak was cooked and seasoned beautifully. We also ordered some desserts that were also beyond delicious. I will definitely be returning the next time I’m in LA!

I need more stars for this restaurant!!!! We had reservations at Cut for my husbands birthday celebration. But as usual, we prefer bar/lounge to eat….so always keep that in mind regarding my reviews. So instead of going to the restaurant, we went to Cut Lounge. Cut Lounge has the same menu as well as a bar menu. Both rooms in the restaurant and the lounge are beautiful. However, the restaurant seems a little bit more sterile and not as warm as the Lounge. The photos here are of the lounge.
Regarding the food, which is the same for both places… I literally need to go back and give my other reviews of steakhouses one less star because there was nothing better than what I ate at cut. My steak was literally the best steak in the universe. I had the Australian Stone ax Wagyu, 6oz filet which was literally the best steak I’ve ever tasted in my life. Every single thing we ate was beyond five stars. I cannot explain how delicious this meal was. It was definitely pricey, but well worth it !!! if you want to have mouthgasm after mouthgasm go to Cut. In addition, if you end up in cut Lounge, the bartender Jeffrey is stellar. He had such wealth of knowledge about different alcohol…. Different cuts of meat. He was amazing. Overall 10 stars.
Here’s a little more detail about the side dishes… The onion rings which are only on the Cut lounge menu are so good and light It’s like eating heaven. The burrata toast was beyond belief. The oysters 👅we ordered two orders because they were so delicious. We had the butter lettuce salad, which was the best salad I’ve ever had in my life… 😳😍😜the carrots 😳😳😳💃🏿incredible…And the steaks could not be better literally I never thought a steak could be so good. I know I sound redundant, but I’m still amazed.😍😍😍 and then to top it all off the desserts were off the chain. I was in a state of heavenly oral fixation bliss after that meal.😜👅💗😳💃🏿

Reason for visiting: brother's birthday
Date/time of visit: Friday night, ~7:15 PM
Parking: valet only; didn't see any parking on the street. Valet is shared with Beverly Wilshire; the entrance is on El Camino and is a bit hard to find so drive slowly if possible. Probably easier to look for entrance to Beverly Wilshire hotel. Valet is $10 with validation at the front; $20 without.
Party size: 5; 3 adults, 2 teens
Environment/ambience: busy; restaurant is up the stairs to the left of the Wolfgang Puck picture under the hostess. Reservations are probably required (I did not make reservations myself) and upscale dining. Dress code seems to be casual though. No TVs around. Busy and loud. Pretty cool art around the restaurant.
Service: fantastic; came around often and provided suggestions. All servers were great; friendly
Food: we shared the 22 oz Prime Ribeye and Wagyu Porterhouse (medium rare). Also had the truffle fries, Mac 'n' Cheese, Samurai Sword, From The Hearth bread, complimentary bread, Oysters, Baked Alaska and Banana Cream Pie desserts. Everything was great, cooked as requested without mistakes. Only drawback for banana cream pie dessert is it lists creme brulee as well but not really a full portion creme brulee; it's really a taste of creme brulee and not really 2 in 1 dessert. BUT everything tasted great!
Cost: $1100 for 5 (including tip); 2 teens
Would I go back (yes/no): 95/5

Cut continues to provide the best ever dining experiences. The service is top tier. The food as far as taste and quality is unmatched. Chef Drew was kind enough to visit our table and make sure everything was going well. My guests had the best time and are already planning to go again soon. I highly recommend the roasted duck, it is incredible. The steaks are phenomenal as well. Lobster gnocci as an appetizer is amazing. Always love my experiences at Cut, my favorite restaurant in LA!

I came here on New Year’s Eve with my wife and I came last year around the same time. My experience last year was excellent. This year the food was served as a multiple course meal and I brought a bottle of wine to enjoy the experience.
We were seated and greeted and I brought a bottle of wine and requested it for it to be opened and decanted. The server goes to the back opens the wine and decants it. This is the first time I dealt with this kind of service. How as a customer do I know if the server poured a different bottle of wine in the back without myself seeing him open it and most importantly why wasn’t I asked to taste the wine before decanting. The wine has to be opened in front of the customer and offered a sample test before decanting, that is the basic restaurant etiquette.
The server brings the decanter that he decanted in the back and says “if you want the bottle to be present on your table I can bring it” he leaves the wine on our table and doesn’t even bother to ask if you want to try a sample or serve it. I had to pour my wife’s glass and as I poured my wife’s glass the server comes back and says “you beat me to it” and walks away as I pour my own glass. I have never ever experienced this kind of service in all my years experiencing fine dining restaurants in Beverly Hills.
While I was enjoying my main entree I look ahead and there was a party that brought a bottle of wine and the server opened the wine in front of them and offered to taste to all attendees of the table. My wife and I glanced at each other and asked ourselves “what is going on”? Why is my bottle being treated differently than the table ahead of me?
I wanted to make this place an annual tradition to celebrate the holiday however this will be my last time attending. Avra and Ocean Prime are my go to restaurants as they strictly follow the restaurant etiquette of wine opening and the experience is always phenomenal however this place was a highly disappointing experience to the point where I cannot return.

Overall great but the food wasnt truly michelin star quality imo, the tomahawk steak was alright but a bit overcooked. The servers kept coming to try to take away our dishes which ended up coming off as somewhat annoying.

Food was great but the wine prices were ridiculous compared to other luxury restaurants (i.e. Opus One at restaurant Hideaway down the street was $600 and at CUT its $1100). Sommalier proudly boasted he sets the prices but had no explanation for this overt price gouging. Just stood there short in stature with a smug look on his face. 1st time in 35 years I ate a Waygu steak without wine. Will NEVER come back.

I heard this restaurant a while, finally we made it, it was my family dinner, also celebrated my husband, me and my daughter’s birthday together, because we wouldn’t meet on mine and my daughter’s birthday this summer, so we decided having a fine dinner for three of us. We had prime filet mignon, Australia waygu filet mignon and New York strip, started with butter lettuce salad and tuna tartar, side order were truffle fries and creamed spinach, every dish was amazing, especially tuna tartar, it’s memorable taste!! I finished my dish which is rare to me. After ordering our dessert, our server delivered three sweet dishes with candles, that was really touching and surprising! My husband loved the banana cream pie, he said it’s the best one he ever had 😁 The chocolate soufflé was very satisfying, and a dish with five different sweets was neat like jewelry. We went across street of Rodeo drive for a walk after finishing dinner. It was a super great experience for us, thank you !

For a restaurant that's widely known and has been awarded a Michelin star for its food, I couldn't be more disappointed with its steak. I ordered an American wagyu, medium rare like how I usually have my steaks - and indeed the meat I got was medium rare on the inside, but charcoal on the outside.
I couldn't enjoy the steak at all because the entire thing was completely charred on the outside.
1 star for the steak.
The service was impeccable, however, and the server offered to replace the steak, hence the 3 stars overall.

The best steak we've ever had (and between the four of us dining that night, there have been lots of travel and steak!). The truffle risotta was an 8/10, the sides (carrots were especially well seasoned and prepared, as were the mushrooms) were a 9/10, appetizers were great all around, the dessert was delicious although not exceptional (we had the souffle), but the steak was the main character and did not disappoint. We'll definitely done here the next time we're in LA as it's become a staple visit and one I'd recommend. The staff were also all friendly and attentive, and the decor was simple and modern. A great experience as a whole.

Ok so this is definitely a “splurge” meal for us, which was a special occasion AKA birthday meal.
You start off by being served Gougères, which are cheesy bread balls (like a French version of Brazilian Pao de Quejo). They were so good that I actually tried baking them at home, I was so inspired!
The absolute star is the meat here. It is literally the best steak I’ve ever had in my life. The perfect salty crust on the outside, tender meat that just wowed us. The two of us split a porterhouse steak, which was enough for us. Next time, would definitely try the Wagyu.
The sides and sauces are solid, but again, the meat itself is the star.

The chocolate souffle was out of this world!! The banana pie was a dry hard filo type pastry with unsweetened whipped cream - nobody even bothered to have a second bite. This was easily the best food I e eaten in Los Angeles. Highly recommend!

Service: Our server was great and attentive. She was knowledgeable about the cuts of steaks and gave us a good rundown of what they offer.
Atmosphere: I wasn't a huge fan of what the place looked like. It seems to be underselling what the place is. The color choices, seating arrangement, general design of the restaurant really lowers the experience of eating there. I wish they would do a redesign.

I ate here 13 years ago and it was phenomenal. I returned with my family on vacation this month and I wanted them to experience it as well. I was very disappointed to say the least and hate I wasted my hard earned money. For starters, they burnt my wife’s filet steak which was requested to be butterflied and well done- but not burnt, and it was $85+ for a steak she couldn’t even eat because of the char, roughness, and blackened ashes. I was not impressed with my medium rare ribeye either as it was too done as well. My sons filet was not flavorful either and he could hardly finish it. My 11 year old daughters children’s menu cheeseburger sliders were also pink on the inside so I would not let her eat them from risk of getting food poison from undercooked meat. Like this is for a child not an adult so why were they undercooked? The flavor was bland and the quality of meat seemed questionable overall. The sides were not seasoned well either and the Mac and Cheese was dry. They recommended the new grilled asparagus as a side and we could not even finish it as the herb flavor was overpowering and was not tasteful. We had to also wait several minutes for water refills and the waiter never brought me back a fork to eat with after he removed the bread coarse. Their attention to customer detail seemed lackluster as it was not busy at all. I am very disappointed that I wasted over $400+ dollars on a bland and unhappy dining experience with my wife and kids. I had high hopes and they were crushed. I wish I had gone somewhere else for sure and given another restaurant a chance to wow me. CUT did not live up to its reputation or past experience and I doubt I will ever eat there again. We ate lunch at The BLVD in Beverly Wilshire Hotel for lunch and it was way better service and food. I advise you to take your money, dining expectation experience, and appetite elsewhere than CUT. Major disappointment and feel like I threw my money away.

Cut is a sophisticated and stylish steakhouse that offers a high-end dining experience. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with a modern and elegant interior that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu features an array of premium steaks and seafood, along with a variety of sides and appetizers.
The service at Cut is impeccable, with attentive staff who are knowledgeable about the menu and able to make great recommendations.
The only downside to Cut is that it can be quite expensive, which may not be accessible to all diners. Additionally, the noise level can be a bit high, which may detract from the overall dining experience.
Overall, Cut is an exceptional restaurant that is well worth the splurge for a special occasion or a memorable night out. With its high-quality ingredients, exceptional service, and stunning atmosphere, Cut is a top-notch steakhouse that is sure to impress even the most discerning diners.

Only service and price is matching Michelin standards. They are not on the list anymore. If you don’t care about the price and never try Wagyu, it’s a place. Food tastes here just okay compared with the price, there are many places in LA you can get the same quality of food or even better with a half price.

4 diners on 12/14 night, the older white guy who looks like the head waiter knocked down the red wine glasses on our table and splashed all over our girl friend while the other waiters were serving food, then pretended nothing happened without a word of apology. All we got was some paper towels? Red wine spilled on white coat with dry paper towels? Hello? Is this the crisis management mechanism that Michelin restaurants should have? Later, when the main meal dish (steak) was about to be served with sauce, I found out that your steak sauce was also destroyed by the clerk who pretended nothing has happened. There were traces of red wine spilled on the three sauces. Didn’t you see it when it was spilled? ? Like spilling it on our friend's white coat and pretend not seeing it? We came to your restaurant to eat your signature steak. But when the sauce was ruined, you pretended not to see it and not even replacing it for us. If we couldn’t eat your brand’s signature recipe and seasoning, then what is the purpose for us to come to your restaurant? Pursuit of racism? We raised our hands to the guy who pretended to be fine for a long time, but he still decide to act busy + ignoring us... Later, another waiter came to replace it for us. It happened that there was a Taiwanese waiter in the store who cared about us. Thank you! I told you it's okay because I was afraid that you would be embarrassed by the situation. In fact, we felt horrible! ! When we were about to leave, that guy still chose to ignore us without any compensation or apology, I hope you will be laid off as soon as possible :)

My experience at Cut was bad.
We shared the dried age Rib eye and the Australien Wagyu beef filet mignon.
Filet mignon was very good. Unfortunately the Rib eye was terrible! Too much fat and not tender as I expected for 110$ For 12 oz!
Service was good.
The bread and mached potatoes were really nice! Beter than the Rib eye!
I will not recommend this restaurant unfortunately ! It’s over-priced!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience here and we hope to come back in the future!
Our waitress presented a variety of different steaks and walked us through how long they were aged/where it came from. I’m not a steak lover; however, it was the best steak I’ve ever had.
We also had a few different sides but their Mac n cheese was ahhh-mazing. Honestly, overall the experience was great! So good I forgot to take some photos lol

Hubby and I wanted to go somewhere to enjoy a nice delicious steak for our 10th wedding anniversary. Being a foodie, we've been to lots of steak restaurants and wanted to go to a restaurant we have never gone to. CUT Beverly Hills was on our radar. Since hubby and I can be fancy, this was perfect for us!
CUT Beverly Hills is a Wolfgang Puck fine dining restaurant located in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. They are known for their steaks which is why we went. We’ve been to other Wolfgang Puck restaurants and had a great experience with amazing service and delicious food. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the same experience here at CUT.
We had a reservation and were sat right away. What annoyed both my husband and me was the flow of service. For example, we would get our drinks, then we wouldn’t see the waiter for another 15 mins. There were way too many long gaps and time passed for our appetizers, food, and refills. We felt like we were sitting and just staring at each other for long periods. Never have we experienced this awkwardness.
The food…. it was just ok. We had high expectations and it fell short. The steaks didn’t wow us and lacked flavor. For what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. This was probably one of the most expensive dinners we have had in a long time, and for it not to be the best, was really disappointing.

Michelin star level service and price, food was great but didn’t impress me as a Michelin 1-star: bread is the most impressive, esp the roasted red pepper and walnut spread; grilled assorted mushroom and shishito pepper are not different from what i can make at home; steaks tasted great except the filet minion was burned outside; presentation as a Michelin 1-star was disappointing; I was also surprised that seasoning for steak and toppings for dessert were on the side to allow personalization but lost chefs design of taste

Service was super delayed. Rib eye came out sell done after requesting medium rare plus. They remade it but it was very salty overall. Also the bathroom wasn’t working had to walk across the street to another building to use. For the price tag I was not impressed with the overall experience

The food is great and all but the service was simply terrible. Ordered gulfed shrimp that never came out. All the desserts came out but had to follow up my toffee pudding twice. The waiter didn’t even wait to complete our orders and just left us hanging. We had to contact another waiter to receive the rest of our orders. The server also did not explain the dishes like other Michelin star restaurants. I wouldn’t recommend dining in this restaurant.

Great food and the service is top notch. Our steaks were great. I see some reviews on Google about not appreciating the steak, but don’t listen to them. Cut gets all ingredients local other then their A5. This restaurant is definitely a place to visit. Don’t skip the lobster rolls and sliders on the appetizers. The cheesecake and soufflé is perfect!

I am writing this review because after the phenomenal service we had which elevated our dining experience, we simply owe to David to post this. From the beginning to the very end he was nothing but a pleasant and light soul looming over our table. His recommendations, politeness, and humorous personality were a perfect pairing to the exquisite food we had. Kudos to the Chef, and well trained staff. Definitely coming back!

Before dining here, my friend and I were wondering how good can a steakhouse be to get a Michelin star? After all, great steakhouses are in abundance in large metropolitan areas. Well, now we know what that next level of greatness can be like. Although the steak was wonderful, it was everything else that elevated the experience beyond expectations. I could be happy just eating the courses and side dishes accompanying the steak...they were that good. The service was impeccable as one would expect of a restaurant of this level.

Went here for my brothers birthday. Honestly the best steak I’ve ever had and I expected nothing less. Even tried lobster rolls and beef tartare for the first time, I was however a bit sceptical at first about raw beef in the tartare but after tasting it, you can’t even tell, and it tasted so good I wanted more.
The server name was Ceaser I believe who did a great job helping out and explaining everything in the menu and showcasing the different cuts of meat at our table that made it easier for myself to order.
The restaurant itself is a bit pricy. But I didn’t expect any less as it is in Beverly Hills, but was a good treat to celebrate my brothers brothers with friends.

Overall an average experience. Seated shoulder to shoulder in a cafeteria style dining hall. Service was slow, long waiting periods between courses and drinks. Food was good, but can't make up for the 600USD price tag on a table of 2.

Food was delicious, but service is severely lacking. After dropping off the menus for the dinner and desserts, the server took 15 minutes before she came back to ask if we had any questions. They never filled our wine glasses and we ended up having to refill our own wine glasses since our meal was ending and we still had half a bottle. After dropping off any of the courses, the server never came back to check if things were good or if there were any issues. The worst part was when we tried to ask the server a question about the dessert but she just ignored us and left.
Given the poor service, would definitely not recommend.

Pleasant meal but unfortunately not worth its michelin star. Classy and minimalistic lux atmosphere, comfortable low back, wide depth, longseat booths. Mocktail options better than their alcoholic offerings.
Can't go wrong with the steak options. We ordered the tomahawk to share and it came with a really lovely blackened char over the entire body. Seasoned well, with mixed opinion about the accompaniments- all in all, still no standouts.

I've eaten what's likely the best steak I've ever had here, but I'll tell you why it's only 4 out of 5 stars.
The good:
Steak was top quality.
Our waiter was amazing.
We were treated very well by all of the staff.
The not so good:
- This place is incredibly expensive. Yes, I know we're eating in the middle of Beverly Hills, but $500+ for two people should knock your socks off. Frankly it didn't, compared with other restaurants we ate at.
- The music was weird. It just didn't fit
- Ambience was lacking. Seemed like a weird bright artsy place. Maybe I'm not the intended crowd?
- The black bread is weird.
- Drinks weren't very strong. Its not that I desire drinks full of liquor but these were pretty weak.
Overall it's a great place to go if you like Steak. And the people working there are phenomenal.

SAND IN THE SALAD!
I kept on chewing cruchyiness, and telling myself they wouldn't NOT triple wash it, until I touched the leaves and felt the sands.... I turned on my phone flash and saw sand on the leaves.
They redid it. We had waited for 20 mins for dripping water salad. I highly recommend a salad spinner.
Considering the price for those leaves, I have to say it is a huge disappointment. They should NOT charge us for this awful salad but they did. ($24)
The steaks were good but they poured too much sugar in the field mushroom. The sweetness overpowered the mushroom.

My experience with Cut Beverly Hiills was unsatisfying to say the least. My crew and I ordered the 40oz tomahawk steak cooked medium but received it essentially raw. The steak came unseasoned, chewy, and without any flavor. We were in disbelief while eating thinking “this can’t really be that bad” and reluctantly finished the meal. After finishing the waitress paced back and fourth from our table clearly wanting us to hurry up and listening to our conversation. We payed $375 for this steak and it was truthfully one of the worst meals we’ve ever had. The money means nothing, these complaints would still stand even if this was a $20 steak from a chain restaurant. The sliders were good but over priced and the fries were $40 but they tasted like fries with truffles. We generally don’t write reviews but this was supposed to be a highlight to our trip and and it really did ruin part of our experience. We felt very strongly that our voice should be heard. Overall this was a really bad experience and if you’re looking for a fancy place to finish or start your trip I’d say skip Cut as it’s either not consistent or genuinely not very good.

We stayed at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel so going to CUT for dinner was a no brainer. We were seated right away and our service was outstanding. It was almost like we had our own personal waiter. I ordered the Snake River Farms American Wagyu steak. It was cooked perfect and tasted great. Wife had the chicken dish with mushrooms. Hint, if you want mushrooms with your steak, which is an add-on, and someone else in your party wants the chicken with mushrooms, then just take some of their mushrooms off their plate as the chicken comes with a big pile. You'll save $12. LOL. Caesar salad was super tasty. The bread selection very good. Just a fantastic dining experience here. You can't go wrong.

One of my favorite restaurants in LA. We got the pleasure to meet Wolfgang and he must be one of the hardest working chefs of all time.
Wagyu Sliders - one of my favorite things on menu
Mac and cheese - one of the best
Eye of the ribeye - I tried both the dry aged and the American wagyu
And while I did enjoy both, the eye of the ribeye was my favorite.
Baked Alaska - was a gem on the menu, it never shows up anywhere and when it does I have to order it. It was an interesting take on it with passion fruit.
Looking forward to many more dinners here.

Wolfgang Puck himself came over and shook my hand, thanked me for being there, and cut and served the soufflé dessert for us! Shows a lot that one of the most famous chefs in the world, worth over $90million, is working @ 9:30 on a Tuesday night. More LA chefs should take note I dine out at least 2 nights every week and that has only happened to me one other time. Also it’s the sort of work ethic I respect and strive for myself. I booked reservations here for a birthday dinner as I heard it’s the best steakhouse in LA + they have a Michelin Star (which is more rare in SoCal compared to SF numbers) and I was not disappointed, it went above expectations.
Cut is behind the lobby of the Wilshire Beverly Hills and offers valet only although I was able to find street parking close for my 7:45 start time. The lobby itself is beautiful and so is Cut. It’s a very bright, open steakhouse with only ambient lighting so it’s more illuminated than other steakhouse like Mastro’s or Morton’s but dark enough that you don’t feel under the lights. Definitely a very high end look to it, I would dine here on any occasion but it especially does the job for any celebration.
We started off the bread for the table (a must it’s a good amount and goes with everything you choose to eat) and then chose the steak tartare as our starter. Wow. I like this dish in general but the black truffles on this one and the taste made it exceptional. Not a single piece remained after 10 minutes. Followed up with the 8oz CAB 28 day wet aged Filet Mignon from Illinois for $78. Pricey but it was delicious honestly. The carrots with honey and ricotta were a really nice addition to this as well. Finally we finished up with the dark chocolate soufflé that Wolfgang himself cut up and served to us. Such a great experience!
I would say it’s the best steak I have had in LA so far. Next being Mastro’s, then Musso & Frank as my top 3 (as of now). An all around wonderful meal and experience; I would recommend to anyone just beware of price before booking, in my opinion it’s totally worth it and a must.

Service was far and away the best service I've had in a restaurant, super happy there. Food was excellent, we had the A5 Wagyu, dry aged new York strip, 3lb lobster and truffle fries. It was all excellent for sure.
The A5 was of extremely good quality, my only gripe was it was over charred on the outside, so if this is a concern for you maybe ask to have it less charred. It's a minor thing as the whole experience surrounding the A5 was exquisite.
The taste of the dry aged was excellent as well, i almost prefer the flavor of the dry aged to A5, but the A5 is a better cut overall.
The lobster comes out and a waiter does the legwork of removing it from the shell so you just get the enjoyment of eating it. It was cooked well and had a great taste, the provided butter sauce is good with it as well.
Finally the truffle fries came with real truffles and a truffle hollandaise that was really a great addition.
All in all for me and mine, this was an expensive dinner for us that was probably a little overpriced, but I'm happy we got to experience something new and everything was done very well. Thanks for the experience CUT.

Quick Summary
Fantastic steakhouse with great food, but even better hospitality. I would say their appetizers shined the most and if you get the steak, choose the entree for better quality, but the larger share plates for your Instagram. Cocktails and mocktails are splendid as well
Food- 4.5 stars
The food was fantastic. CUT does everything well, but I really liked their artisanal bread and the butter lettuce salad
Artisanal bread- this bread was fantastic. I still think Coin and Candor has the best bread, but this was still pretty good
Butter lettuce salad- some of the best blue cheese I've tasted. Really love the fresh produce they serve here
Valdevia Farms Heirloom Tomatoes- similar to the salad. Produce is phenomenal
Steak tartare- very solid. It's a typical steak tartare but still really good
Bistecca florentina- the steak was cooked perfectly (great sear and medium rare inside). I like the concept of Wolfgang Puck restaurants of adding salt and mustard on the side to really personalize your experience. As described above, the shared steak is glorious to look at, but the food quality is better if you ordered an individual steak
Sides- we tried the french fries, mashed potatoes, and cream spinach. everything was done well, but nothing memorable
Desserts- we tried the dark chocolate souffle and banana cream pie. Both were very delicious, but not particularly memorable
Service- 5 stars
Phenomenal service throughout. Very accommodating and not too overbearing at all.
Ambiance/Value- 5 stars
A bit on the pricier side, but with the quality of the food, the large portions, and the impeccable service and ambiance, everything was well worth it. It earns its Michelin star
Bottom Line
CUT is a fantastic spot for any occasion. My recommendation is to try most of the appetizers, order the large steak for the picture and small steak for the quality. Definitely one of the top, if not the top steakhouse in LA

I went to “The Cut” in Beverly Hills on November 20, 2021 to celebrate my Birthday. The food was delicious. However, it appears they don’t really like catering to black folks; as if our money isn’t good enough. My experience was down right disrespectful 👎🏽 how they left are dirty plates seat at our table while they ensure everyone else’s table kept clean. They brought out steak sample and explained the different cuts and which steaks were the best for what your meal preferences were for the night. It looked great. But you can only guess we didn’t receive that treatment as well 🥺 and we weren’t offered refills on drinks or water until we made a complaint regarding the blatant lack of customer service treatment 😡 It was horrible watching the other tables filled with white customers being treated like five stars 😩 In my opinion if you are black, fair skinned, your money isn’t wanted here and you will be treated less than what you are deserved😤
I can’t say all the servers were awful and the female hosted was the best. Well mannered and polite. I want to say thank you to her for upholding your job and position to a high standard. 😊
I have been to plenty of outstanding restaurants in Beverly Hills who treat all their customers as equal with dignity and respect that they deserve. But I most say: “The Cut” in Beverly Hills is just not one of them. here unless you don’t mind being treated like dirt.
Oh, I would have given them no ⭐️ but the female hosted was great and that ⭐️ is for her. Thanks miss! I appreciate you 😊

Unfortunately, CUT's new executive chef was a bad hire, and he's done a number on the menu. The corn dish was particularly bad. However, the wait staff is excellent, and mostly redeemed the experience for us. That said, I would be very surprised to see this CUT location retain its Michelin stat.

Yep, four stars, Mr Puck. Yes The Cut is embedded in a 5 star hotel. Yes, reservations, dressy clientele, super professional wait staff. Our server was top notch. Described the off menu features, presented huge slab cuts of raw steak including a legendary tomahawk.
I was more interested is watching the waiters and kitchen people do their stuff. I was looking forward to a 35 day dry aged sirloin. Medium. When it arrived I saw a 6 oz. square of steak blackened on the outside and nicely pink in the middle. There's where star #5 fell off. The charred outer layer completely covered what I was looking for in a truly aged steak. It wasn't just me, my companion also ended up with a nice but over charred steak.
We had recently eaten at another local legend, a Northwoods Inn. Their steak offering won.

The food was amazing. As was most of the staff. I have eaten at four Michelin Star rated resturants, all have been amazing. This was also the case for CUT. Yet, one waiter, decides to send a note home with my friend, in her to go bag. Saying he will be her desert with his number. Spending over $2000 for a meal and having a Michelin, I would expect better of a server in a resturant such as this. I found that extremely unprofessional. If that hadn't of happened, I would rate it 5 stars.

I had to get my steak refired because it came out gray, dry, and grainy. The crust was all but gone. It must have steamed while waiting for the other dishes for my table. The meat was a bland unseasoned gray with barely any pink to it. My medium rare order came out to close to well done which is a shameful temperature for a ribeye.
After 30 minutes waiting for my new steak, it came with a nice crust but it was RARE. In the case of not wanting to waste anymore food, I ate it. It wasn't bad, but it was rare so some of the fat wasn't rendered enough for me and it cooled far quicker that I would have liked it to.
Oh, and they finally added salt to this steak.
So, for $120, I had to get my steak refired. And even then, the steakhouse chefs still couldn't get the temperature of my steak right.
No, I wouldn't come back.
No, I wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone.
Yes, definitely spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Or, you can waste your disposable income here.
2 stars for some of the FOH.

The cocktail recommendations where true to form.. "Smooth". The bone marrow appetizer was was robust as well. The pretzel bread.. not guilt free as well but just eat it. The hosts/ waiters stated they have the best cheesecake "I've ever had in my life". Yes the cheesecake was yummy.. creamy in the inside kept its form. All in all a definite go to for insanely good good but insanely $$$.
