I had reservations here Wednesday night January 8, 2025 at 8:30 PM although it was an as packed as usual due to the Fires beginning that night it still was a decent amount of people. Me and my friend ordered the ribeye steak, lobster rolls, shrimp deviled eggs, scallops, cream corn, and the mashed potatoes with shrimp and king crab. My friend did not eat any of the scallops or shrimp, deviled eggs, and I’m guessing that’s where the food poisoning came from because I ate that. We probably were there for about two hours within 15 minutes of leaving the restaurant. I had an excruciating stomach pain started having hot flashes and sweating and I ended up throwing up outside of the window of the car by the time I got home I had really bad diarrhea also. I assumed it was something that I ate early that day because I didn’t believe the food would hit my system that quickly from steak 48. the next morning I decided to reheat my leftovers, but something told me to look at the reviews on yelp and to my discover two other people said they experience the same thing within a two week span. I immediately through out the leftovers and called the restaurant. There was a lady that answered the phone and I explained what happened to me the night before and she said she’s never had anyone complain so it must be from somewhere else that I ate and I said I would like to speak to the manager, which I was told was not available. she took down my information and she said she would have them call me back. I have yet to hear from them. I called yesterday and another young lady answered, and I asked for Corporate’s number and they gave it to me. Do not go to this restaurant until they figure out what’s going on in their Kitchen. I will be calling the health department to report them also.

Great experience at steak48 for our anniversary.
Amari was a very kind gentleman who made sure we understood the menu and enjoyed our meal.
I booked through opentable and mentioned that we're interested in the halal options on the menu which Amari knew very well.
The Australian tajima wagyu 8oz and 12oz steaks were halal along with the lamb rack.

The food at Steak 48 was excellent as always, but the service I received from Jahid left a lot to be desired. He treated me like I was his son, speaking in a condescending manner that was completely uncalled for. On top of that, he kept me waiting far too long for my food and even forgot to put in an order for another bread I requested.

To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, he claimed he couldn’t split the check—something I’ve done here multiple times before without issue. It’s frustrating to have good food overshadowed by poor service. Jahid’s attitude and lack of attentiveness made this experience far from the standard I’ve come to expect from Steak 48.

I was celebrating my birthday with a close friend. The food was delicious- we ordered the 45 day dry aged bone in rib eye, beets salad, corn crème brûlée and sweet potatoes all 10/10!
The service was incredible the amazing staff Nabil, Jesse and Will - we will certainly come back for you guys too.
Over all highly recommended for a social or business get together.

I was disappointed. The cooking technique was excellent but the bone-in ribeye was a very low quality cut of beef. It almost felt like a Sizzler steak. The atmosphere was great and the service was good. However, we felt rushed. Maybe there's a two hour dining limit.

I ordered the 8-ounce filet mignon, and it was great—cooked perfectly and very filling (I couldn’t even finish it). For starters, we tried the wagyu beef tartar, creamy mac and cheese, Pacific yellowtail hamachi, creamed spinach, and crispy shrimp. Overall, they were okay; the mac and cheese was a bit too salty for my taste, and I didn’t enjoy the creamed spinach, but the crispy shrimp and tartar were decent. For dessert, we had the LouLou’s homemade cookies and cream gelato cake and the very chocolate cake. Both were creamy, rich, and quite heavy but still good.
The service was great, we celebrated my auntie’s birthday.

Since most important thing is food let’s start there. Appetizer of beets was ok although not very tasty. Kind of bland and for the price not worth the money.
Now the most important thing, the steak. Ordered a ribeye medium rare which I’ve ordered many in real good steak houses such as Peter Luger in NYC. Also have prepared my own from real upscale butcher shops. This steak was so tough I couldn’t cut with the serrated knife. First half was 3/4 fat and close to medium rare. The second half was raw and inedible. In my opinion this was choice meat not prime. It was embarrassing.
Waiter never came around to ask but the folks I was eating with had to send their steak back (different cut) as it was undercooked. So 15 minutes of waiting for their steak to return.
So my steak was an$80+ disaster they didn’t mind theirs but at these prices the chef should know how to cook steak. And not be serving choice meat.
As to service, very mediocre. Never asked how it was. Sat on my plate for 1/2 hour until we finally said we were done. Manager came by to asked how it was and I’m very honest especially when paying these prices and told her it was terrible. She felt bad but did nothing. The waiter offered us free dessert and that was it. For these prices I have no idea why so crowded. And if I we’re you I’d go anywhere else!

Me and my boyfriend ate here and I had an amazing experience. We were greeted by valet, and they were very polite and took very good care of my boyfriend’s car then There was someone at the door to greet us And open it for us where there were three nice ladies at the front who helped us in a timely manner. We were seated and told who our waiter would be for the evening and he was very kind and made sure our drinks were always full And that we were always up-to-date on what was happening With our food. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I honestly don’t know how long we waited for our food because I had a great time talking with my boyfriend. We got a private booth and I would definitely recommend if you’re going on a date night anyways I ordered the filet mignon and my boyfriend ordered the New York strip and we shared some mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad and oh my gosh it was so amazing. Oh, and to drink I had the guava cucumber cocktail. I couldn’t even taste the alcohol, but it definitely hit and it was so delicious! My boyfriend also loved his food and shout out to the bathroom lady because I had to use the restroom so many times and she was so helpful and kind. By the end of the night, we were asked if we wanted dessert and I would’ve loved to try dessert, but we were so stuffed. There was no way we were eating anymore so we got some to go boxes and the check and overall I had an absolutely amazing experience, The service was absolutely phenomenal, the atmosphere was amazing, it was clean, friendly, The food was delicious…I could go on and on, and I would 100% come back and recommend this I felt like an absolute princess and I had two different workers one waitress and one waiter complement me, and I felt so good and by the way, the toilet seats were heated, best thing ever!!!

WOW! What an amazing meal and experience.

First time in LA and looked through a few blogs and Steak 48 came up on a few as highly recommended.

This trip was part of our honeymoon and we were so happy when we turned up.

Such an awesome vibe the second you walk in.
The door staff and front of house team are friendly.
They took us to our table - it was STUNNING!
As they knew we were celebrating our honeymoon, they had decorated the table.
We were in one of the glass booths - amazing tables.
If you can, they were intimate, but you got a sense of the vibe and could see the kitchen team working.

Our hostess, Kalyn was super lovely, informative and made great recommendations.

In total we had:
The meatballs, steak tartare and shisho peppers.
All great - portions on the larger side. My husband devoured the meatballs and usually won’t eat ground meat.
You could really tell they used high quality ingredients.

For our second course:
We had the NY strip & filet.
Both were cooked to perfection.
Sides:
The Boursin creamy mashed potatoes
The gratin
Sweetcorn and
Sprouts

WOW! WOW! WOW!
All of them.

We were too full to get dessert, but wish we hadn’t eaten so much… but we couldn’t resist all of the sides.

The manager, Josh has an amazing team and has everything perfect.

It’s a must visit! Don’t hesitate to book!

Thank you for being part of our honeymoon, we’re still talking about it a week later!

We’ll be back!

My husband surprised me with an engagement dinner at Steak 48, and it was fantastic! The modern decor and warm lighting created a perfect celebratory atmosphere. Our server was attentive and provided excellent recommendations.
We started with delicious appetizers like lobster bisque and a charcuterie board. For the main course, the filet mignon was tender and flavorful, while the ribeye was equally impressive. The truffle mac and cheese was a standout side!
The restaurant accommodated our celebration cake, adding a special touch to the evening. Overall, Steak 48 offered exceptional food and service, making it an ideal choice for any special occasion. Highly recommend!

9.1/10. The experience, the atmosphere and the food made for a great evening. Unfortunately, we had a res for 8p and was seated around 8:30p. Besides that, we ordered the Shrimp Deviled eggs, taste is superb with just enough shrimp and egg in each bite, 8.9/10. Calamari, came with peppers and shrimp, tasty but could have had better seasoning, sauces were great 8.2/10. Best side of the evening was the sweet potato casserole, you need this in your life, don't walk but run to get this, 9.7/10. Brussel sprouts, hard, not flavorful, best thing about it was the thick bacon pieces, 4.3/10. Creamed Spinach side was just good enough, if it had artichoke it would be a dip, 7.3/10. Sea bass was disappointing, good size, came hot but lacked flavor and softness in the cut, 5.2/10. 45 Day dry aged 22oz ribeye, I had high hopes for this steak, came out sizzling hot. Such a large cut, I didn't think I would finish it and I did not. Unfortunately, I ordered Medium and 20% of the meat was well done, 45% was medium rare. 15% of the cut was fat, I'm not opposed to it but this was a lot. I still enjoyed this but I would not order this again. There was good flavor, it was juicy and mostly tender. 7.4/10.

The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, the broccoli, macaroni, mashed potatoes, wonderful! The only thing is the place was packed and this kind of atmosphere gives me a feeling of claustrophobia! I love when a restaurant has more room to breathe and maneuver around. I think they would be unbeatable if they had a large room with tables spread further apart and allowed less bookings. If you like a heavy crowd you will enjoy this. For me, I love a bit more privacy and space and calmness. Again, the food was wonderful so for me it was the lack of personal space that removed the 1 star.

UPDATE: Jessica is the best server here!

As a local who works in the neighborhood, I love coming here for dinner with friends! It’s definitely our “Go-To” spot where everyone is happy with the food, the drinks & the service. Last night we were fortunate enough to have MICHELLE as our server. She truly IS A GEM!!!! I would probably be very sad if Michelle ever left because the pride she takes in providing excellent service is second to none. If you’re fortunate enough to get her, she will guide you through the menu to help you make the best decisions! Everyone else is good too, she just goes above & beyond!

It’s against my religion to NOT order:
-The Ribeye (ask them to slice it if you’re sharing with others). We usually opt for the heated plates as well. Can’t go ring with rare to medium rare. The dry aged is good too, same with the cap!
-The Corn Brûlée is crack in the best way (maybe not the best if you’re trying to avoid sugar & butter, but all things in moderation)! I don’t event want to try to make it at home. It’s torched to perfection.

Other staples that I really enjoy:
-Escargot
-Deviled Eggs
-Fried Lobster
-Seafood Tower (Lobster, Alaskan Crab Legs, Oysters, Stone Crab and the Shrimp Cocktail) all amazing!
-Beet Salad
-Shrimp Popcorn
-Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
-Sautéed Mushrooms

My absolute drink of choice is their dirty martini with 3 blue cheese stuffed olives!

So we decided to walk to Steak 48 last night for dinner after work. As you walk up you have a gentleman opening the door for you and welcoming you to the restaurant. From there you walk in and the ambiance is just amazing. We love that they have a dress code as well. It is nothing crazy but business casual. We set at the back bar that was super nice as well. Alec was our bartender/server and he was great. Started us off with some fresh bread and wow was that delicious. He gave us a rundown of the menu and some off menu items as well.

We started with the meatball that were so tender and just amazing. Next we shared the pork chop which was one of the best we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Cook right to perfection and they even cut it up for us. We had the gratin potatoes which again was just Devine. And the corn brûlée Yes corn brûlée . It was the best a must try. We will be back at least once a week to this place . If in town and looking for a place to eat do not skip this one. But make a reservation. We were lucky to get in

I had high expectations but greatly disappointed. I sat at the bar and a restaurant owner and visiting from Chicago. First my cocktail the California citrus was too sweet and not well balanced. I was given “chef made” bread that frankly tasted like pilsbury crescent roll dough in a cast iron dish. The artificial butter flavor terrible. I then had the lobster roll as a starter which was average but chef stop being old bay seasoning crazy. I was sold on an American waygu ribeye which was not well marbled and more like grizzled. It was also so thinly cut that the hot plate cooked it fully. I could have got a better cut of meat from my local grocer or go to Whole Foods. The hassle back potato was just a sliced potatoes not a real hassle back. Sad despite all their show. The cookie touch at the end was nice.

Steak 48 in Beverly Hills, you've stolen my heart! From the moment I made the reservation, I knew we were in for a treat. The confirmation call was like a warm hug, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. And then, the pièce de résistance - the bread! Heavenly doesn't even begin to describe it. Our party of steak lovers was in awe, with each cut cooked to perfection. The sides? Generous enough to feed a small army (we shared, of course!). But what truly set Steak 48 apart was the service. Our server (sorry, name escapes me, but you know who you are!) was a rockstar! And the cherry on top? A post-dinner thank-you call! Talk about delightfully old-school charm. 10/10, would steak again (and again, and again...). Can't wait to try your other locations!

The food here is very average, the service is also so-so. but the worst thing is the management. and management is where it all begins. They began to demand that we share our personal data and send all card details by email so that they could write off the money. it is safe? They were rude to us, threatened us, and did not cooperate with us in any way. The food is good, but the service can be worked on. We were seated at a table near the rear bar, but our waitress was also the bartender. She was not able to provide consistent needed service. This was our first time visiting Steak 48, and that practice of a bartender/waitress is not the best idea for good service. I've never seen this way of service at Eddie V's or Ruth Chis steakhouse. The Steak 48 food was good (especially the meatball appetizer), but based on the discussed service practice, I'm not sure I'll be returning. Anyone reading this, let's be clear, Steak 48 is worth the visit, I'm just big on customer service over excellent taste.

We live in New York so there was a LOT of communication with the special events staff- Eden & Kelly and they were wonderful. They immediately were helpful which is why we went with the location. I emailed them for 4 months asking questions and they were fantastic. When we finally got to the the restaurant they had everything exactly like we discussed. The staff working were kind and helpful. The food??? Banging. Our guests were stuffed and loved all of the options. You’re gonna pay a pretty penny but for the service and care, it was worth it. I highly recommend.

Decided to try out this new steak house for my birthday! I’ve done Mastros I’ve done Ruth Cris, all of the ones in the area but this was a different amazing experience overall! From when I checked the hostess’s gave me a warm welcome. The ambient was very old money New York. I love that the bathrooms are single so you can take as many pictures as you want. From the complementary bread to the cocktails to the steak, everything was made to perfection. I forgot my servers name but he’s was amazing as well gave me a run down on the menu and guest favorites. Everyone was very sweet, that’s a big thing for me and everyone was so nice made my experience so much sweeter. For 1 person I paid 190. Mind you it is family style so the portions were on the the bigger side. The shrimp must try! The bone in is the way to go. I had the pomegranate martini and it had me feeling right! Amazing restaurant with great service and even better food. Thank you will definitely be back very soon (:

Michelle was excellent & thorough. She asked if it was our first visit to Steak 48. She provided an overview of the menu & shared with us her personal favorites. The service here was off the chart. Will, the manager, came by our table to confirm if everything was okay. We were a party of 4, 3 of us ordered different steaks. All were cooked to order & tasted great. For a starter, I recommend the wagyu beef tartare. It was exceptional.

The fries and the Mac and cheese were also delicious. The ceasar salad with an egg on top was also amazing. All the drinks we ordered were real drinks, no gimmicks here. modern steakhouse from the family who founded Mastro’s, one of the country’s most recognized brands for steak. Straddling the line between contemporary and traditional, the restaurant is equipped with an open glass-walled kitchen.
Every meal starts with a pan of complimentary pull-apart rolls.
The steaks are all prime cuts that have been wet-aged for 28 days. The sides are quite interesting especially the corn crème brûlée.

I love the design of the restaurant. The colors are beautiful and it's all comfortable, it's the type of restaurant you could sit at for hours.

Unfortunately, the food misses the mark. It was so disappointing to have a westholm wagyu Filet ruined by the weird seasonings that were put on it.
The undercooked steaks and overly hot plates is a trick used at sub par steak houses to avoid cooking steaks accurately, and I'm sad that this new Steakhouse is trying to use old tricks to avoid training kitchen staff. From the pilsbarey tasting bread, to the microwave desserts, I know people aren't coming here for the food.

The service was pretty bad. Over trained staff required to hit certain talking points and marks, it's exhausting and frankly outdated service. The server also highlighted and recommended every item of the menu that was expensive.i came for the steak, and frankly we don't do seafood, it's not our thing, but listening to the server tell us the recommendations are Caviar, A5, AKC and everything premium priced, lets me know that this was not a trusted ally, but just a robotic pusher.
This restaurant is like a flemings, ruths chris, del Frisco, mastros. Fake food, fake weird service and high prices.

It's not like a Gwen, CUT, Chi Spacca.
Real chefs, real people, culinary arts.

I'm happy I got to try it so I know. I'm more of a luxury food person and this is not that. This is that upscale benihana some people love and there's nothing wrong with that. But if I wanted Fogo De Chao, I'll just go to the one near me.
Steak 48 is not so great, not for a date, not for a steak, it was a bad idea for a birthday meal, when all I wanted to do is eat somewhere real, overly trained service what's the deal? Yall be training out the whole point of the feels.

This Place is a joke.
Got ignored by my first waiter for 20 mins, second one eventually showed up to take my order.
I ordered a bone in fillet medium with crispy shrimp.
It showed up raw! After that they offered to cook me another one but they just removed the shrimp from the top of the old one, through it in the oven and brought it back with the same old now cold shrimp. When I did not accept that piece of dry meet they took it and this time cooked me another but smaller fillet (in compare to the first one) and brought it with the same old crispy shrimps now cold and soggy and the new steak was well done making it two failed attempts to cook a steak properly to the order. It took me 70 minutes from sitting down to getting that awful meal for the price of $96 with tax just for the steak and shrimp. To be honest I do not think the second smaller steak they brought me was even dry aged. (Second picture is the second steak with old shrimps on the side, first pic is the first raw steak with shrimp on the top as it supposed to be)
I would suggest to stay away from this place!
P.S. this was my second time here. First time food was good but they over charged my credit card $30 from the final bill and it took me several attempts to fix it!!!

From the moment one steps into the elegantly appointed Steak, 58 in Los Angeles, the dining experience promises something extraordinary. This review delves into a gastronomic journey that begins with an array of starters and sails through a robust entree selection, culminating in a decadent dessert, all complemented by a distinguished wine.

The meal kicked off with a luxurious plate of braised pork belly that melted tenderly in the mouth, its rich flavors perfectly balanced by the crisp, fresh heirloom tomatoes. The beet salad offers a colorful and delicious alternative. This salad combines earthy beets with fresh greens, perhaps quinoa for a touch of nuttiness, and a light dressing to enhance but not overpower the natural flavors.

The main courses were a showcase of culinary excellence. The filet mignon and NY strip were cooked to perfection, each slice revealing a pink, succulent center that spoke of the precision in the kitchen. The Chilean sea bass was a highlight, its flaky texture and buttery taste harmonizing with the smoky char from the grill.

No steakhouse experience is complete without a bevy of sides. The brussels sprouts were caramelized to a sweet finish, the truffle crispy fries were addictively good, and the grilled asparagus added a necessary verdancy to the rich meal.

The chocolate sphere dessert was a theatrical finale. Cracked open, it revealed a luscious, flowing chocolate that was both a feast for the eyes and the soul.

Wine Pairing: The Peyrassol La Croix, a Rose Blend from the Provence region, with its organic grapes, was a delightful match. Its crispness cut through the richness of the dishes, binding the entire meal with its fruity and floral notes.

Steak, 58 doesn’t just serve food; it crafts an unforgettable experience that marries the sophistication of fine dining with the comforts of traditional steakhouse fare. The ambience was refined and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. However, I found the heavy curtains during the afternoon a bit excessive, making it feel like nighttime – a minor detail in an otherwise flawless setting.

In conclusion, a visit here is a treat for the senses and a tribute to the finer things in life.

Then we look at service the service was also very nice I did like how the chefs also brought out the food for us and also they were very sweet but they did not come to check on us too much I don’t know if that’s like a waiter thing but it was very long to order food.

The bread was amazing, the recommendations were amazing, even the other guest in the restaurant were sweet and told me happy birthday & took pictures of me. The atmosphere was beautiful, the lighting was perfect too. They even gave me a birthday card & the dessert was a 10/10. It was literally the best birthday I’ve had in years. Steak48 provided an excellent meal experience. Food was really good with steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Apps and side dishes were equally good including delicious sautéed mushrooms. Service was efficient and friendly. We were surprised and delighted at how large the “per glass” pours were for the wine. I’d estimate the red wines ordered were 50-75% more wine per glass than usual……which justifies the fairly high per glass pricing. We will surely be back. Also, in a first for me, the restaurant called and left a message the next day thanking us for having dinner with them. Class act.

The bread looked promising but did not deliver on its good looks…no flavor…no salt….just there

Same with the fries that were stupid expensive and lacked seasoning in spite of advertising salt and parm and other yummy things

The meal was saved by the service and the generous martini which let’s face it…never hurts….or makes the hurt less…
