All other restaurants had a long wait so I just came here to try it out. They sat us right away. Got a side of full onion rings and they were amazing. Nice and crispy on the outside with a side of ranch which was delicious. Got the pulled pork sandwich and it was AMAZING with fries that were really good. Burger was well crafted and they had a wide selection of beer. My experience here was great so I would disregard the review. Definitely coming back to eat here.

11:30am on a Saturday before Christmas, was dead when we walked in, but picked up quick. Was seated quickly, drink orders taken fast by our server, Yuri. Orders were promptly taken, and came out quick. Bone Yard Grilled Cheese was awesome, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, and cup of chili with cornbread. Onion Rings were A+++, & Fries. Great service and food. The server was great. I didn't get what I ordered but it's all delicious. We got coloring books and crayons for the kids. I was served pulled pork (A little hard and dry), garlic mashed potatoes (very good) and onion rings (I don't like onion rings). Great selection at the bar. I liked the cherry old fashioned. Very clean with lots of sports playing. I'll be back next time I'm in town.

The burgers took 30 minutes to arrive, the Pepsi was watered down flat and no straw provided. Asked for dipping sauces with our food but no dipping sauces provided and then we waited five minutes for the dipping sauces. They totally forgot about us. I had to approach the bar area and ask again for the sauces, but by the time they brought it, our food got cold. Asked for medium, but one of the burgers was more like well done, asked for both the burgers cut in half but one of them was not cut in half ask for ketchup, and Tabasco only received buffalo sauce, no ketchup, ask for a check check took too long to arrive. We were charged 3% extra for using the credit card, giving two stars instead of one star only because the employees were friendly.

Service was slow understaffed one server at lunch. One cook. Burger fell on floor accidentally. Chef didn’t remake burger for replacement but made for other tables burgers who sat after us. One person on our party didn’t eat. All burger have same patty. Wish they would have made burger a priority that they dropped. Waited and waited. Finally ate our food. Fish and chips all batter. Tasty and great presentation. Avocado burger excellent. Music 90s. Outdoor patio great and nice street view if you have a small pet.

Outstanding service! The bartender and server went above and beyond to make sure we got the food items and beer we would enjoy. Their brisket was amazing! And was an awesome addition to our nacho fries. Had a great time with great food and laid back ambiance. We will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is horrible, they have hospital bright lighting and carpets that are dirty. The food is greasy and messily presented. The service was slow.

The host is bussing tables and hosting, the wait staff just disappeared most of the time, it took 30 minutes to get seated even though there were open tables, the wait staff took another 20 minutes to even say hi. We had to ask for BBQ sauce 4x before they brought some out. It was just ridiculous. Food was decent

We order the chicken Alfredo- the sauce had absolutely no flavor. bland. I mean what should I have expected from a BBQ place right? The clam chowder was cold- also flavorless. Salt and pepper did not do it justice. the BBQ chicken - I laughed when I saw it. It was a thin slice of a chicken breast with BBQ sauce just quickly spread over a portion of it. Epic fail in every dish, well I take that back, th3 chicken ceaser salad was decent. The waiter was rude. I don't recommend. Bad experience and will never go back.

The place is nice, takes long to take the order, and the drinks never got to my table. Nice people. Very disorganized service. I know it is a holiday but they need to take care of the costumer. I will try to come back for a more detailed review.

Friday after Thanksgiving. They can barely keep up with orders. They aren’t aware of exactly what they have behind the bar. No beer menu. TV’s aren’t set to current football game. Floor is dirty. Using fingers to push top of straw into drink. Wiping glass up to rim with hand after making a frozen drink. One person behind the bar cannot use POS system well. And one of the bartenders didn’t know how to pour a beer (just sat the glass on the grate and poured, creating too much head). One individual behind bar (seems to have been in the military) who tried her best to organize things. Could only stay for one beer watching all of this.

Waited an hour and a half for our food before giving up and leaving. Asked our server multiple times what was going on and they kept telling us it would come soon.

We asked the hostess at the end what was going on because we couldn’t find our server and she checked with the kitchen and told us our food was never put in.

Came in on Halloween. It was not busy at all - only 3 other groups of people - one group; a family I believed the dad worked there since he was taking his plates and getting stuff from the kitchen area himself. It took 15+mins just to be seated in an empty restaurant and even longer to get service. Took over 10mins to bring our beers. We ended up only ordering the fried pickles which were actually very good and I ordered my son chicken nuggets which were also good along with the fries - we did ask for buffalo sauce which she never brought so my son ended up eating the nuggets without it also the nuggets were very, very similar to McDonald's McNuggets.
Me and my adult son ended up for to Fire Rock for our dinner which was amazing.

Walked in for lunch on Saturday. The place was empty. We were seated right away, but waited a long time for service. We ordered two drinks straight from the menu and got them as we were finishing our meals. We asked for them multiple times for our drinks and was finally told the bartender didn’t have the ingredients. Fine! Tell us and let us order something else. We never really had a server, just people walking by trying to help because they had seen just sitting there. Mgr offered to give us a discount. We received a discount for 2.64 off of a tab that was around $100. Food was meh. I’ve been happy with meh food, when the service and the ambiance was top notch. That was not the case here. Will not be back.

Great place to grab a drink and eat with your dogs. Everything was really good. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich and it was spicy but it's exactly what I wanted. They also brought out dog bowls for our dogs at the table. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the village with your dogs and are looking for somewhere to eat and drink with them.

We had a fantastic dinner featuring BBQ ribs, brisket, creamy coleslaw, soft cornbread, bacon green beans, and garlic mashed potatoes. The ribs and brisket were perfectly smoked and flavorful, and the sides were the ideal complements—especially the creamy coleslaw and garlic mashed potatoes. Our server, John, was both personable and professional, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We also had positive interactions with Manager Allysa and Ben, who made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience with delicious food and exceptional service! I should mention that we shared our meal so my plate only represents a small portion of what we were served.

We arrived at 4:40pm on a Sunday and were seated on the patio, a party of 3. The hostess, a young lady, told us a waitress would be with us in 5-10 minutes. We said that’s fine no problem. As time went on a waitress walked in and out helping the people around us but did not acknowledge us. After 30 minutes I went inside to speak with the host stand. A 5 minute wait later I explained our situation to a young man at the host stand who told me they had stopped seating people outside an hour prior. I pointed out the lady who sat us. No apology was made for their employees’ incompetence. The man at the host stand they could maybe find us a table inside the packed interior, that had no open tables and 1+ long wait. Very disappointing customer service.

I ordered a barbecue pork sandwich with coleslaw and got a barbecue sauce sandwich with a tablespoon of coleslaw. I was too hungry to send it back. At least the sauce is tasty. There was only a dab of coleslaw on one side of my sandwich. But my family's orders were the way they were supposed to be. The server kind of sucked.

One of my regular stops when I visit Big Bear. Very nice selection of food. Burgers, tacos, fish and chips not to mention the BBQ. As far as their beer selection, they have Russian River on tap, need I say more? Pliny the Elder and my favorite IPA, Blind Pig are regularly featured here.
They also have a great whiskey selection and TVs in the bar area. I appreciate the service and the sense of humor exhibited by the staff.

Came with friends over the weekend , the hostess was nice sat us , we waited about 15 mins or so to someone come to take care of us, there was young lady walking around with tattoos and lots of piercings, kept looking at us , turns out it was out it was our server, once order was placed she disappeared for a bit when she came back she smelled like she had a cigarette break, food came pretty fast, we got nachos with brisket, presentation wasnt great , rib wings was decent also, burgers subpar , me and my friend ended up getting the nashville chicken sandwich, it was horrible small breast with full of batter didnt taste anything spicy, dressing that they put on sandwich was minimal and small coleslaw, the fries were decent. i highly dont recommend it there way over priced

We were on vacation in big bear and went to the restaurant. Google says it closes at 9. Went at 7:45 pm and the open sign was on. An employee told us as we walked in they were closed. I asked them and they said they closed early with no reason (after waiting). Update: 2nd night in a row they closed early because "it wasnt busy". I would suggest the business open later and stay open for night life because they are missing out on a big customer base and bad publicity to close before the hours stated.

Service was awful, waited 30+ to meet our waitress, then another 20 just to get waters. Waitress never came back around to refill drinks. The place was not busy, many empty tables. When food arrived it looked and tasted like cafateria/hospital food. We never complained , 10 people in my group, only two of us could eat the food( wings). Waited longer to get the bill, tip was added, paid, when receipt came back was a different total than when I gave my card, asked for it to be looked at it, manager said he could not fix it right then but her will get us new receipts and fix it another time. The new record amount was adding more too amount, now I was charged 3 different amounts for a tip. Asked manager to get me a receipt that showed break down of my food and price he said the system won’t let him do that. I asked him to re total it and fix my bill, he rolled his eyes then said it is what it is. Not ok, then proceeded to tell us to leave the restaurant. Said “get the hell out”.

We sat inside right in the middle of the main room but it seemed like I had to keep asking for things like more water.
Other than that, the serving sizes are great and the smoked meat (pulled pork and beef) are tasty. I also got the zesty coleslaw which went very well with the meat.

The restaurant itself is very nice. Clean, very modern cowboy vibe. We got a dish that was massive and came with three different meat items, two sides and a huge salad. I will say the bbq meat is delicious, the ribs fell right off the bone and had the best Smokey flavor to them, the pork melted in your mouth, the chicken was good but a tiny bit dry. The bbq sauce was very good, not sure if they make it in house hut it was tasty. The cornbread was probably my favorite side. The potato salad and macaroni and cheese were basic and I could live without both. Was it worth the amount, I would say probably not. But I will say I will be back to try other things because I am sure there is plenty of quality dishes here to try. The meat is worth it but the sides and the salad were basic and I know now to pass on those. I will be back.

Catastrophe! We sat in an empty restaurant for 45 minutes waiting for our drinks. They brought drinks 2 times differently than we ordered. And we had 3 lemonades and one beer. They brought sour mashed potatoes. They will admit the mistake, probably old milk, and issue bills anyway. 😂 I don't like to write bad reviews and I'm always understanding. But the arrogant behavior of the staff made me write this.

Genuinely had a great time here. I stayed about 30 minutes after closing because I lost track of time and no one gave me a hard time about it. My friend was celebrating a birthday and the bartender gave a big pour and upgraded it to Van Winkle because they were out of Macallen (yeah... If you know you know). It's hard to find a place that you immediately connect with in such a touristy area like Big Bear, but somehow I ended up here. Will definitely be back. 😊

Went here on a birthday trip for my wife. It was a group of 10 of us . The positives, We were seated promptly and the service was friendly. However, the food was not enjoyable for most of us. My wife ordered ribs although the flavor was good, they were tough and overcooked. The chicken I ordered had minimal flavor and was dry and chewy. It was hard like a hockey puck. Some of us ordered mixed drinks and those were heavy poured. The burgers were decent and the fries but that’s about it. We will unfortunately not be patronizing this place next time we are up here.

We had a great meal here. My husband and I split the rib combo. He ate the ribs and my son and I split the pulled pork. It was delicious. The green beans are incredible too. They use fresh green beans and cook them with onions and bacon. I also loved the beer selection. I think this is one of the best places to eat in the area.

Sadly, I had one of the worst experience here. I came here because I read that they were dog friendly but when we arrived they seemed upset that we had pets and that we had to sit on the patio. The server was in such a rush that he skipped my husband when we were ordering our food. When he finally bought our drinks some of them had no ice and he gave us a regular adult cup for the baby. He mentioned that those are the cups they give to kids when we asked him for a cup with a lid. The worst part of the whole meal was they never brought my husband meal, so we just decided to share my meal. Finally, the server suddenly became more friendly when it came close to paying the check and let us know that the Manager was supposed to serve our table. What surprised me the most was that the Manager was a bit passive aggressive as well. I’m sorry but I run a business in Long Beach and I would never let a guest be treated like this. My advice for next time if it’s an issue to serve guest on your patio just let them know that the patio is closed for lunch and just don’t allow dogs. I recommend going to the Azteca Grill they are dog friendly and they have live music sometimes, because of them my birthday weekend ended on a good note.

Came in today around 1pm The hostess was rude and uncaring. We were forced to eat outside due to our doggies, which is fine.
But we were completely forgotten about. We were served by Luc who just seemed flustered and kept blaming the kitchen for everything, even though he almost forgot to put my order in too.

They forgot my order and the rest of my party ate, and I left with no food.

The manager came out and was not helpful at all and gave us the incorrect order. I typically tip 30-40% this is the first time I could not reason with myself to leave anything.

Worst dining experience in Big Bear, avoid at all costs.

The food and presentation was terrible. McDonald’s food looks and tastes better. The atmosphere is not welcoming and feels like a cafeteria. It looks like the remains of a Mexican restaurant that was bought out and turned into something else. I had two Moscow mules which is hard to mess up but they weren’t consistent in ingredients or even the glasses they were served in. The menu is too long and all over the place, which was a red flag along with the quality and ingredient list of the mixed drinks.

She also forgot water the first time so we asked someone else for some. He finally brought it around. We got our appetizers and the bacon on the jalapeño poppers wasn’t cooked all the way! We didn’t see our waitress for a long time so we had to ask someone else to take it back for us. My friend also needed a refill on her drink and our waitress forgot that a couple times. Then, the bacon on my friends burger was also undercooked so we had to ask someone else to take that back for her (just the bacon). Our waitress again was nowhere to be seen. Finally she comes around with a refill and checks on us. We get the check which also took a long time and boxes. Not sure if I’ll go back. Food was mediocre. I have worked as a waitress so I understand what’s going on etc. she was not very attentive. She was very friendly though!

What a disappointment throughout. This place is extremely understaffed and we can see it in the staff’s behavior. I can’t blame them, they have a tough job.

There were 4 people servicing about a hundred people and food is late, drinks were never filled and no one came to check on us and we waited forever just to get our bill. If I didn’t have a child with me, I would have just walked out.

There were customers actively complaining loudly by the kitchen area to the staff which made the experience even more miserable. It’s not the staff or the kitchen staff. It’s just this place has changed over the years.

It use to be crowded and now it’s deserted. Ugh. The bbq was decent but the portion was small given how expensive it was.

Food was cold and dry. The calamari strips were way under proportioned than usual. NoI was brought warm clamato to pour into my cold beer. My wife ordered a hot drink that was barley warm and when asked if they could heat it up they just added a little coffee to it so it still wasn't hot. The bill was almost$200 bucks though. We've been here several times and always good, but not this time.

Huge portions, great food. All their sauces, dressings, chowder, and chili are made in-house. Over 40 beers on draft! They also smoke their pork ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and tri tip. Our server, Cheannie, was so friendly and helpful and gave us a good education about the restaurant. This is a must stop when we are in Big Bear!

The bartenders were amazing. We didn’t catch the guy’s name, but he was very accommodating. And Asia (spelling?) filled our drinks to the brim and was also very nice. The vibe was great. Bruschetta was really good. The trip, pulled pork, and mashed potatoes were solid. Mac n cheese was meh. Overall, awesome place!

We had a fun and upbeat server with great service. We enjoyed our food including baby back ribs, tri tip sandwich, chicken and a veggie pizza. Great strawberry lemon martini. It's a little loud and very informal. Lots of TVs with various sport games.

My wife and I went walking around Big Bear when we saw the restaurant. We came in, and to our amazement, the food looked and was mouth-watering. We had the half rack of ribs with rotisserie chicken and two sides, and my wife had the brisket platter with two sides, plus both came with cornbread. Our waiter John was helpful and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. He was quick to answer our questions and attended to our needs quickly.

This place was a great find on our vacation! Place was very clean. Food was phenomenal, best clam chowder I have ever had. We ate in the bar which was so pretty. Amanda was our bartender and she was amazing! Great drinks, great conversation. We will visit again when we come back!!

Came here for a snack and some drinks and let me tell you. The pork wings DID NOT disappoint. 10/10 some of the best “ribs” I’ve ever had. Oscar in the kitchen is serving up absolutely incredible apps!! They were smokey, crispy, melt in your mouth PERFECTION… he also came out and gave us his custom bbq sauce and the un-fried version, when we told him we avoid deep fried, and LOVE spicy! Didn’t think it could get better. But it did. Both of our servers (we arrived during shift change), Christina and Chelsea were attentive, thoughtful, friendly, and awesome! We will 100% be back!

We came in a Thursday night. Not crowded at all. We had to get the waitress to come and take our order after waiting 15 minutes. Then We waited 20 minutes and we had to deliver our OWN drink

We indulged in the baby back ribs and the classic old fashioned; the cornbread surpassed all expectations, truly one of the most delightful cornbreads I've ever tasted. The service, the meat, the crew – everything was incredibly wonderful! It was undeniably one of the most fantastic birthday dinners I've had in a long time.
