You have to come here. Best burger I think I ever had. Buns are out of the world. Fresh ingredients. Love the locally own business and they love the people who come here to enjoy their food.

FANTASTIC BURGERS!!! This joint uses good quality meat that you can taste. I ordered the Director double cheeseburger and added bacon. It was WAY better than expected. Great size burgers, they reminded me of in n out mixed with five guys. The sides were also delicious. We had tater tots, french fries, and cheese curds with ranch. They were well fried and perfectly crunchy. The inside of the restaurant is a little warm but a good amount of seating inside and on the patio around the building. Great first-time experience.

The food took 1 hour. I could tell the oil they used was not clean. We ordered two burgers, salad , 3x chicken nuggets, 2x fries, 1 x onion ring, and tater tots 6x sodas. For what we ordered, it should not have taken that long. I only took a picture of the fries. There's no filter they are not crunchy they were fried in old oil. For what we ordered, it should not have been 85$ for the wait, and it wasn't good. The only bonus is they have a Coke and Pepsi machine. I understand it's a tourist destination but for one hour at least the food should be delicious. Sit out outside it smells like the oil inside

I wish I could give this place a negative star. Was very frustrated at this establishment. First we had to wait in line for30 minutes before we even got to the register. Then when I got to the register I ordered the 3 milkshakes we intended to have only to be told that they were out of milkshakes. Never-mind all the signs advertising milkshakes. And no apology or even a hint of caring. Yes they were busy but an establishment like this should be better prepared during the high season. And I don’t buy this aspect that you have to wait for good burgers. Good burgers have been around for over a century and I don’t believe that in order to get a good burger you have to wait an insane amount of time. To me this is a ruse to get around hiring sufficient staff to service customers properly. It’s a shame since I went to this restaurant to support local businesses but was left extremely disappointed and frustrated. Sad to see owners of restaurants trying to deceive customers in order to maximize profits. Not only will I not be going back but I will actively dissuade anyone from going to this place in the future.

Get the Burger has the best burgers on the mountain! Their burgers are fat and juicy and taste so good! You can also get gluten free buns or any burger as a lettuce wrap. We really love their sweet potato fries and tater tots and you can also get any burger with a turkey patty or a veggie patty so there's something for everyone here ❤️

Worst food I've ever had. The onion rings were saturated in oil, and the fries were just as bad. the burger was disgusting, and you could hear a frozen patty hit the black stone. Bacon on the burger was old, and it was hard as a rock. Should of known walking in this place to just walk right out with the BS on their walls. Terrible place and terrible food.. and NO, the food was not "staged" to purposely look bad... It came out of the wrapper looking that bad... YUK

I’ll leave another review here just to make sure people see it! I come here normally because they really do have tasty burgers, But after what I experienced today was honestly really disgusting the whole time I was waiting for my food, I basically watched every single staff member in the back with no gloves at all handle food. The most nastiest part was watching these two girls assemble tomato and lettuce on the burger with bare hands lol… not to mention one of the girls had long ass fake nails and was touching the food on top of that.. pretty sure that’s a health violation cause it’s in food handlers test that you need to be wearing gloves when preparing food. So yeah… just letting yall know your food is being touched bare handed 😊😂

If you like a fast casual style place with good food and good service, this is your spot. The onion rings and fried pickles are also very good. They have many options for beverages and shakes. We came around 2pm and the line picked up around 3pm (on a Saturday). Good place for a group (we were 9).

Terrible, the place was dirty- the table was sticky and the bathrooms were even worse. They said the wait was an hour, and after more than an hour they said 20 more minutes. After sitting there, we left without our food. The overall environment wasn’t good either.

Very very slow service. We had to wait for one hour for burgers and sandwiches. There are no servers. Messy kitchen and unclean restrooms with no toilet papers.
Seems like they don't care about customers. Don't go there.

I loved this place!!! It was my wife’s and I first time in big bear. Rebbeca who attended us GOD bless her and the staff. She was so kind and humble. She let us know her favorite food from the menu, very informative. A gentleman got our trash and threw it away for us!!! Thank you! Will definitely come back to this place again without a doubt. Lady at the register will judge what you order based on the size of your body… and then proceed to imply you might not be able to finish what you’ve ordered. This didn’t happen once, it happened TWICE. Being critical about what someone orders because of their size is absolutely unacceptable.

Burgers are good so I’m giving two stars. If not for the unacceptable customer service, I’d give 4 stars.

And what the heck does “science is real” even mean?!

The burger and cheese curds were excellent. Our order took 20 minutes and we didn’t receive the large fries we ordered (and paid for). We only ordered 4 items so to miss one of the four was disappointing after waiting 20 mins. We will try again on a non holiday weekend.

Great Food! We'll go back. The only issue we had was not getting part of order because the young man taking our order didn't put it in even after asking additional questions and following up with another staff member to make sure they still had the item. No big deal! We all make mistakes, it was busy.

Update 8/2024.
They have remodeled a bit and the place looks much brighter, The burgers though were a let down. I still liked the Duke, but my wife couldn't eat hers. It looks like they went to frozen processed patties. They were thick and nasty, but the taste was of. Not like a hand made patty as before.

I had the Duke. Great flavor, nice bun and lots of great ingredients.

The food was fantastic. It was quite the wait to get the food about 30-35 mins. Little pricy but worth the price. My family will diffently be coming here again. I've added a menu with the updated prices.

We ate here in the past and the food is good considering the other options on the mountain. That being said it wasn’t great. Sadly we went in yesterday and the atmosphere is very hostile and overwhelmingly political. They say this is a kid friendly establishment and it is not considering a he propaganda they have posted through out the business. As a local business you should cater to all customers not just a small group of people. Luckily there is a nice pizza place across the street, it was very inviting and not a hint of political bias in the entire establishment.

It’s my parents and I first time visiting Big Bear. We met a fellow tourist who said Get the Burger has the best burgers he’s ever tried, so we decided to try it out for lunch. It was a pleasant surprise when his statement became true to us too! The food is delicious, and the old school style to the establishment is fitting. The employees were kind and helpful. A five star experience indeed!

We visited Big Bear and tried Get the Burger as we saw in one of the tourist magazines they had Wisconsin Cheese Curds. We had our dog with us and so some of us stayed outside at the patio seating with him. Before we even ordered our food they brought our dog a bowl of water and a treat. It was so nice and unexpected! Such a nice thing to do! The food was amazing! Burgers did remind us of In and Out which is always good. Cheese curds were also delicious! We will be back next time we are in the area!

First time coming here since I was a teenager, I still remember when the place opened and even what I ordered when they did. I'm happy to say, after all these years, the food and service both still hold up and I'll even go as far as to say, it's better than In-N-Out. I will say however, I really respect Eric, he was always super kind to me when I was a kid, but the place could really do without the cringe political virtue signalling decorations they're a huge turnoff, people are there for food not to be bombarded with ideology.

Been here a few times and their burgers and fries are great . This place has a hometown feel with indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs are allowed while outdoors
Their service was friendly and fast. This is our “go to” burger place when we come up to our cabin.

Order up front, seat yourself inside or out. They'll call your name for your order. The Duke burger, fries, and chocolate shake were good, not great. Have some occasional fun menu items that may or may not be available, but you'll have to check when you're ordering.

Clean after yourselves. Not a ton of free parking. Wifi password available upon request.

I have driven past this place hundreds of times and I have finally stopped to try it out. Omg this place has you wanting more. I was wanting more of my food even into the next day. This is my new go to when up in big bear. The food is fresh, juicy, and doesn't make you feel blah at the end. There isn't alot of grease so you can enjoy every bite. The chicken sandwhich was so moist and didn't have any hard unchewable spots in the coating. The buns aren't normal, they have a flavor that makes you want to eat every last bite. Now the fries... I do not like soggy fries. These fries were amazing. They had a crunch and were cooked to perfection. Counting down the days until my next drive into town to try something new. And to top it all off, the staff. They are so friendly and enjoyable. My family will definitely be back.

Wow the food is great here! The house sauces are all really great too. Spicy ketchup with the nuggets is a must have. The cheese curds are crispy and perfect. Very friendly, funny, and personable staff. Dog friendly too! (they even have treats and water bowls). Will definitely add this to our mandatory rotation when we’re in Big Bear

Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. but as their sign says: not fast food. The BLT is piled high with thick bacon, fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The Cod Father fish sandwich also had fresh lettuce and tomato and an amazing spicy sauce. The tater tots were done perfectly and are delicious with the siracha ketchup. We also loved the deep fried cheese curds and pickle fries, that came with regular ranch dipping sauce as well as jalapeno ranch and wasabi ranch. It was so good when we went on Saturday that we went back again on Sunday to try more things on the menu. Not a fancy place but the restrooms were sparkling clean, the dining area homey, with friendly staff and amazing food!

My husband and I had the best Chicago Dogs made fresh by Eric. I loved the peppers and relish that was chopped nicely; the weiner of course had all the flavor with no grissels. Also, the oil that the delicious onion rings are cooked in brought out the taste.

This hard working family ran business is known for their hamburgers, but include hot dogs and onion rings. May God keep blessing this restaurant.

I’m not sure if ownership has changed but this place definitely has. So disappointed. We drove up from SoCal with family bragging how delicious and fresh these burgers are only to receive frozen, boxed patty’s?!?! Everything was either from a bag or a box. The best burgers, anywhere, ever. You will be spoiled for life! Finally, the food is even better than in the photos. Everything on the menu is delicious. My friends and I tried it all. Each new side was perfect and full of flavor. The staff is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is fun and comfortable. AND not only that, they are super inclusive! Everyone is welcome! My husband and I visited this restaurant with a couple friends and the service was spectacular! My husband and I are gluten free and dairy free and the cashier and who we believe to be the owner?/cook was so kind, accommodating, and helpful!! They had GF/DF buns, sauces, and fries and also did lettuce wrapped burgers. The owner offered samples of different sauces before committing to one for my burger, but I trusted his recommendation and choose the hickory sauce. Once my group and I had our food, he delivered us a sample of different sauces for our burgers and fries, and a spicy topping for my friend who ordered the hot dog. As we were leaving we thanked him for his kindness while he asked us how our food was, what was great!! Wish we got his name so we can thank him on here! We will definitely be coming back!! 5/5 stars for the food & 6/5 for the customer service!

I’ve been coming to the list location for years and I’m finally taking some time to write a review. I think the reason that I haven’t written a review thus far as because the food is so good that I’m not thinking about it.
I think this is the best big bear joint that you’re going to find in big bear right now. If you’re looking for fast food, don’t come here, this is not your place. If you’re looking for good food that comes out quickly then this is a good place for you. Everything here is made to order.
On our last adventure, here I got a burger, protein style, my wife got the chicken sandwich, my son, got the chicken nuggets, and my daughter got the sweet potato fries. We also added a side of cheese curds, which were super good.

It was very disturbing to eat under an Israeli flag when I only went to enjoy a nice burger after hitting the slopes. I don’t like politics or seeing flags that symbolize war when trying to enjoy a hardy meal. I’d recommend removing the flag next time to be more hospitable.

This place has great food and I've been there a handful of times. I visit Big Bear every so often for camping, biking and snowboarding and each time the food is good all year around. Not a big chain restaurant so it's good to have a great spot to go eat.

The burger I had today suck so bad made my stomach hurt. I barely can finish half of it and threw it away total amount like almost $20 for the sweet potato fries too. Which suck. Everyone should stop going to this place

The burgers were ok, kind of expensive even for a mountain town given the quality. One of the few halal options up there though so it is what it is. Just make sure you request for the halal patty beforehand as I believe they also serve non-halal burgers as well.
To be honest I’d recommend you don’t get the burger.

Classic diner and the workers are fantastic. Got some cheeseburgers, onion rings and fries and they were excellent. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I usually share the double cheese burger which I think is the Director, fries and the jalapeño caps. So yummy!!! Everyone is super nice with great service. This is not fast food p.s but they are faster than a restaurant would be.

The starving actor is my go-to. I've been going to Get-the-Burger since they opened. I was in town from out of state and had to visit. Still very good!

It was good. Not a fast food joint, expect to wait a little as they focus on quality, not efficacy.
They put cones around my van as a courtesy, very nice 5 🌟 for that thoughtfulness.
They have some murals, but the best is the view out the windows seeing the trees on the mountain side or the lake

Been going to Big Bear Lake for 20+years and they have the best burger hands down. Enjoy conversations with the staff and the expansion is provides so much seating.

Burgers are good. Ordered a large onion ring but was disappointed with the portion. The food is made to order and can be very slow. They open at 11:30 close at 5pm Wednesday - Sunday, more of a lunch place.
