Well, I just think places like this should simply be outlawed. Can you imagine how they tempt us with all these wonderful and delicious sweets, and they are not held accountable, it is just wrong. We stopped by this delightful store after having a wonderful pizza at Saucy Mama’s next store, which is owned by the same company or owner. You even get a 10% discount coupon from the pizza restaurant to force you into buying some delectable fudge or candy. The store also has an ice cream parlor, where you can buy a variety of Dreyer ice cream products. There is no place to sit down inside of the store so you will have to find another area to sit down and enjoy. Finally, found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, which can make all the difference in the world sometimes.

It was so hard to choose! Everything looked delicious! We went with the dark chocolate haystack, regular fudge, white fudge with English toffee, and the triple chocolate fudge. It was all good, but I definitely recommend the regular fudge!!

Walked right by this shop and Im glad I walked in. It was a good small shop with a lot of options. I went in for ice cream and walked into buying 5 caramel apples. I got some ice cream and they did not disappoint on the portions. Its no seating inside or out fyi.

The prices were reasonable and the portions were quite generous, but the ice cream didn't taste good…. mediocre.
I wish I had gone to the nearby Ben & Jerry's instead of choosing the local ice cream shop. I regret my decision.

We were visiting the area for Christmas. We stopped in after eating at Saucey Mamas,, you get 10% off w receipt from SM. Everything looked so delicious. We all decided on the ice cream. The portions were huge. Everyone was very friendly.

Amazing selections of fudge, caramel apples, chocolate dip dessert, gummy, and ice cream. There is something for everyone in the family. Also my first time seeing such large selections of no sugar chocolate. I bought some sugar free dark chocolate with almond. Yummy!!!

Also got a 10% discount because we ate at Saucy Mama’s before buying the fudge and chocolate.

This is one of the best candy shops Ive been in, and Im finding that hard to come to terms with because Ive lived in many very large cities with dozens of sweet shops. Big Bear simply does it better in this case, and puts all of them to shame. I highly recommend trying their white chocolate covered smores marshmallow offering. Also, their chocolate covered caramel wafers are easily the best you will find (better than Sees, Godiva, Ghirardelli - you name it). They also have some extremely tasty candy apples, a wide selection of delicious home-made fudges, and a myriad of other fantastic candies. The shop seems small, but its absolutely brimming with a really great selection! Their *chocolate* confections are where they shine the most, in my opinion.

This is a young kids dream. Ill forget about it. This is everybodys dream. They have so many different flavors of ice cream a million different types of candy and chocolate to choose from the one thing that my wife loved was what they called the kids single scoop mini Cone she said it was the perfect taste of a flavor of ice cream. My son got chocolate covered twizzlers and my other son got turtles. This place was a main stop almost every day we stayed in big Bear. If youre not stopping here then you missed one of the best spots in big bear.

The girl serving the fudge was really nice and the fudge is really good. But the girl at the ice cream counter was rude and had an attitude with me. We ended up just leaving because she made me uncomfortable. I should have got her name but honestly I just wanted to go. We ended up going to Ben & Jerrys a little ways down where the service was 100x better. Just weird to me that you stand by the cones when I ask for a sample and expect me to ask u for what I want when youre on the whole other side acting like youre not gonna walk over to where I am and then have an attitude when Im confused about you just standing and staring at me not saying anything. Like girl what are you doing over there when the ice cream is over here and then u have an attitude like I did something to you.

Delicious, I ordered a Cookies and Cream + Strawberry Cheesecake in a Waffle Cone. Very good but a little too sweet. Came here for a vacation, left thinking about the ice cream. Waited in line for a few minutes. Next time Im in Big Bear, Im gonna visit here again.

Do not look at the crowd waiting in long lines and get deceived. Ice cream is below average, you are better off picking a pint from a grocery store. Chocolate is neither fresh nor tasty, Russell stover from grocery store tastes better.

A dream come true for anyone with a sweet tooth! Please open a store in San Diego :) We visited in June 2024 and indulged in the magical unicorn food and the white turtles, they were absolutely heavenly. I have a sneaking suspicion that everything in this store tastes amazing. This place is a sweet lovers paradise!

When I was a kid living in Big Bear, my dad would take me here regularly, often after we saw a movie. Id always get something dumb like candy and ice cream you can get in a store. I dont miss Big Bear at all, but lots of places I miss going to. Went here for my birthday for the first time in probably 15 years. I got a tiger peanut butter cup, peanut butter fudge swirl, and tiger butter crunch. Absolutely delicious treats that I would say can compete with SEES candy, but that may be my own personal nostalgia bias. I wish wasnt so picky and I had tried more of their homemade chocolate growing up.

My out of town guests decided to have lunch in The village and do some shopping. After wards they wanted ice cream cones, so we stopped at North Pole fudge co. As we entered there was a line of customers. All three employees were on their cell phones. Ignoring paying customers! On the car ride back to my home in Big Bear, they were talking about the events of the day. The lunch, shops, the discovery center... the only complaint they had was the horrible service, and how a dozen customers were ignored while your employees were all on their cell phones, texting, or on Facebook or ? at The North Pole Fudge Co. Next time I will skip your business and go up around the corner and take my guests to your competition.

When I get to this store, I am going to eat everything! I mean everything! You all can haggle amongst yourselves about whatever crumbs I leave behind. Or you can find another store. I am so totally going to eat this one! Every scoop of ice cream! Every chocolate-covered Twinkie! Every. Thing. I may even eat some doors and tables! The line to order was chaotic, not very orderly. The girl took my order , rang me up and handed me my treats. I walked out with my friend and decided to check we had everything. We were shorted 1 thing. My friend went back in to get what she was shorted. Soon I went back in to see what was taking so long. The girl behind the counter took all of our treats back, checked a bunch of receipts and had another co worker help her. Then she asked me for my change back but barely remembered I paid with cash not a card. She had charged me correctly but forgotten an item. FINALLY got the correct treats so we took it and left. I drive 50 minutes home and open my bags. Guess what, I m now missing something. After all that, the incompetent girl still messes up and shorts me. I never write bad reviews but driving all the way home to find you don t have everything you paid for is such a bummer.

It gets so crowded in here, as a first time visitor it can be a bit overwhelming. There are 2 counters, the one in the front sells fudge, caramelized apples, and everything chocolate. The counter in the back sells ice cream. The line moves quickly. It was maybe 10 minutes from the back of the line to the front. The caramelized apple was great!

Would be a 5 star if not for the service. My family and I have been coming up to Big Bear for over 20 years and we always stop into this shop. It s the best candy store in town. But the staff nearly ruined our recent experiences. PRODUCT & PRICES The store is small, so the choices are limited, but they still offer a good variety of everything: kid s hard candy, decadent & unique fudges and caramel apples, delicious ice cream, and sugar free chocolates. What they lack in quantity, they make up for in overwhelming quality. The prices are surprisingly low considering the quality of the candy. ATMOSPHERE The decor is a never ending Santa s Workshop. From a working train that circles overhead to the clever sweets-related quips on the walls, this store will ignite the imagination of any visitor. It has a small-town, support-the-local-shop feeling. There are large windows where customers waiting in line can look in on the candy-making process. No seating inside but there are plenty of low walls lining lovely flower beds outside the shop. There are also public dining tables in a walkway a few stores up the street. STAFF During our week-long trip to Big Bear, my family came in and purchased candy/ice cream/fudge at this store 4 different times (including some candies to take back home). There were at least 3 different staff members who served us and each of them were cold and unfriendly. They made us feel like we were an inconvenience and unfortunately, made the experience as a whole far less enjoyable. We didn t remember the staff ever being unpleasant on our previous visits. If the candy weren t so good, I wouldn t be coming back to this store during our next visit. TO SUM UP There are other candy stores in town that are bigger with more variety, but this shop is a true local treasure with high quality product. If the staff can learn to offer a smile to their customers, they d be a 5 star shop.

Hot chocolate was actually really good for coming out of a machine. Long line but it was worth the wait, people working there were nice too. Worth it.

Highly recommend, love the location and the yummy treats, but best of all they had mini cones! We were full from dinner and the mini cone was just right! Been here many times and will definitely return, gets very busy on weekends, but the line moves fast.

I was in Big Bear and went twice in 3.5 days. The fudge is beyond YUM, with multiple combinations and flavors. I will be ordering my Christmas Fudge from them this year. They are also pet friendly.

Flavors arent overwhelmingly sweet and have really good flavors that dont taste artificial. Wafers are crispy perfect. Expect a bit of a wait time on peak times of the day but definitely worth the waitz the staff is friendly and efficient.

My family and I have gotten ice cream here every day of our vacation. The cups look small initially, but they are FULL of delicious ice cream in a plentiful serving. Prices are very reasonable. Lots of great flavors. And they have chocolate sprinkles that actually taste chocolatey. I wish I could get ice cream like this in my home town.

What a wonderful place! My wife and I stopped by here after eating for a sweet ice cream treat. My wife is allergic to coconut, and a lot of ice cream nowadays has it in it. Ally helped us to read the ingredients and find one that had no coconut. She went above and beyond for us!

What a sweet treat. Had a 2 scoop cone and that is all I could handle. Frozen bananas and frozen twinkies dipped in hot carmel and then covered in your favorite topping. All the flavors of fudge you can dream of and variety of other sweets to test your taste buds and tummy.

I love this place. The staff was friendly and you can sample ice cream flavors if you are undecided. I got the peanut butter and chocolate fudge, the smores fudge and a combination that has all three popular flavors mixed in the fudge. The smores flavor was my favorite. its one of their popular ones alongside the Rocky Road. The ice cream was equally delicious. I recommend the waffle mixture ice cream. I didnt give it 5 stars because there is no place to sit. By the way, Google maps is incorrect with their directions. North Pole Fudge is right next to Christmas Store N More.

This is probably one of the cutest place big bear have in relation with anything dessert from fudge to ice cream. They are known for the classic look/decorations in the shop, you can often see from the glass of them making fresh batches of sweets and goods. For me personally, I am not a huge fan of sweets, so I dont go for their fudge, but this is the place I always make sure to drop by when I come to big bear because of the cute atmopshere for all my visitor friends. Their scoops and portion are generous, and there is not that many shops in big bear. Parking here is super easy, and lots of shop around the area to look around at. Employees are friendly. highly recommendation.

I usually don t write reviews but I feel like this time it s necessary. I went to get ice cream and the lady asked me if I wanted a copy of my receipt. I said no. I suspected something so I told her I wanted my receipt after all. When I left the restaurant, I checked and she overcharged me because she thought I didn t want my receipt. I went to confront her and before I even tell her the amount she over charged, she told me: « do you want the 3 dollars on your card or cash? ». She knew the exact amount because I believe she did it on purpose. When I asked her how come she knew even though i didn t specify the amount, she replied: «it s just that there s a lot of customers and we just want everyone out quickly » Bottom line: Make sure to ALWAYS ask for your receipt and to ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK the amount they charged. I am sure it s not the first time they do it. So be careful!!

Prices and servings are decent, Cute bakery shop with lots of chocolate varieties including sugar free. Youll find ice cream near the rear of the shop where they offer the choice in making it into a shake. Unfortunately there isnt many flavors to choose from. Establishment gets very busy and crowded fast, making it hard to navigate through. Definitely not for people who are claustrophobic.

Very inviting place when we opened the door. My kids and I were looking to all the cakes, brownies, candies, caramels, all the sweet foods. And started just walking inside. Its like those sweets foods are pulling us in . I could smell sugars right when I first entered the store. Everything looks good. But we got our ice cream. Cute shop, very busy. If you can have an idea what you want ahead of time by checking out their website that would be good. The staff was efficient and great.... working hard to get everyone served quickly. The line was long but moved in a very reasonable fashion. Our group enjoyed various flavors of ice cream in waffle cones...everyone liked them. We will make this stop a tradition when we are in town.

We drove out of our way to come to this place. The person working was very impatient and kept trying to rush us. After checking out because of being rushed I asked her for more chocolate and she told me to wait and went to the next customer. She was rude and very impatient.

Service was nice but the salted caramel fudge I got has to be the worst fudge I ve ever tasted, was the saltiest thing I ve ever had.

Stopped in for some fudge. Lots of choices. The fudge was amazing! Go with some various of chocolate. You will not be disappointed. The customer service was bad. The the female cashier was rude. She was not smiling, she was giving me and my girlfriend attitude the whole time. It just felt like she didnt want to be there. Bed experience. I wont be going back.

Flies on the fudge!!! Today 9/23/19 four of us (two couples) visited the village in Big Bear & asked a handful of shop workers where the local Fudge shop was as we had our minds set on buying fudge & other sweets. The workers directed us to this fudge place. We walked about three blocks specifically to buy at least two pounds of various fudge & other sweets. When inside the North Pole Fudge & Ice Cream Co, we were excited about the many choices and variety of fresh fudge available UNTIL we saw the numerous flies landing on the fudge and flying around. At that point we were definitely done and quickly left without spending a penny. What a shame. Flies lay their eggs, etc. on whatever they land on. Gross.

The atmosphere here is so cool. My kids loved the ice cream like everywhere else, but the customer service here is unmatched. This is a must visit. It can get crowded but its expected cause everyone loves this place.

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. The staff is always friendly. Their apples are amazing. Worth the long lines!

Cute ice cream and candy store. Priced well and large portions. My only issue was the lack of organization there was in such a small store. I dont mind waiting in line for a popular item however it was just chaos in the store. No designated lines just a crowd of people standing around inside and outside the store. Signage would be best to help direct tourist where to go.

Were live in Austin, Texas. Whenever we come back to California on vacation, we tend to visit Big Bear. This is one of our favorite places to visit in Big Bear.

Holy COW this place is good! The ice cream, milk shakes and malts are THE best. My son is a root beer float junkie, and he said its the best one hes ever had, nuff said lol

While this adorable shop has every confectionary delight humanly imaginable and then some, I am forced to give this establishment a 1 star. Being a doctor who has buried way too many patients from Covid, I was relieved to see that this establishment appeared to take their customers health and safety into consideration. With a sign on the door requiring patrons to be masked and maintain social distancing, I entered, assuming the risk to be low. As I waited my turn in line, there was a family standing in the tiny ordering area, congregating and chitchatting while taking up this tiny space - unmasked and not even ordering. I asked the girl behind the counter to address the safety issue, but she and her colleagues just giggled and shrugged their shoulders, saying nothing. Very disappointing to see that this adorable shops priority was profits before the health and safety of its employees, customers and community. Wont be back.

This place is heaven on Earth! I dont even have a big sweet tooth and I still left with over two pounds of candy. Hands down, best fudge in Southern California, and possibly the world. Make sure you have a nice pair of sweat pants on when you sit down to eat their candy, because you will not be able to stop eating.

The fudge is great, but I took off a star because I thought the ice cream was made in-house. Instead it s the Dreyer s brand of ice cream.

Love this candy and fudge store. They have just about everything you can imagine. We had the chocolate walnut fudge. It was very tasty. A little on the expensive side, but very well worth it.

The employee that helped us was really rude We ask her where the sugar free chocolates were and already she had an attitude then we ask to speak to a manager and she didn t care about what we had to say . We went down the way and bought sugar free chocolate and they super nice I truly believe customer service is key too bad this establishment does not have it

This place is too crowded even during winter, phew. I like the mini cone option. It was just perfect after a heavy pizza right next door. I wish this place is a little bigger so that we can walk across the room without bumping into other customer. But nevertheless the ice cream was yummy :)

Everyone in North Pole Fudge and Ice Cream is happy , even though the waiting line can be long, because they surrounded by sugar! The shop is small, but they have a huge selection of sweet treats to select from. Overall, this small sweet shop is fantastic and friendly.
