Just not good food. The carnitas were dry. My daughter said this was like if white people tried to make Mexican food. Very Costco salsa feel. Doesn't really have a view, there's a building between the patio and the lake.

I got the chicken fajitas. A little on the dry side for the chicken, but still good. My husband got the molcajete. It's for two... and it's HUGE! Loo the pictures don't do it justice. It is big! Definitely a meal to share. We both went home with a lot of leftovers. The service was great as well.

This restaurant has excellent food, service, and prices. The view to the lake is beautiful, also plenty of parking space. This is definitely a good place and is located close to downtown.

It depends on people's experiences and opinions but my experience is this... Good food best Mexican 🌮 🌯 restaurant. Great martinis 🍷 love the bean and cheese burrito and there street Tacos 😋. The only thing is they need happy smiling service some could be grumpy, some can be local, nice, but it depends on there mood and that's okay 😆❤️. But overall it's a nice place to eat, enjoy with family and friends if you want Mexican food. I love the patio outside sitting and enjoying the sunset and view. Oh it may be a little expensive 🫰 but your getting a good quality food. Enjoy 😍!

The food was excellent with the exception of the Albondiga soup, which was just ok. The chips came out hot and fresh, the guacamole was a huge serving and very tasty. The molcajete is pricy however, it's a big portion because two of my friends weren't able to finish it. The service was also excellent they check on us about every 10 minutes or less and they were all very friendly. I will definitely be back.

a charming diner style restaurant in big bear, w a big dining patio overlooking the lake. we went on monday around brunch time - portion sizes were large, service was great, and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful. the food itself was pretty good

Don't let the unassuming look fool you. This place is fantastic! Jasmin and Minerva provided great service. View of lake is nice. I think I found my new spot in Big Bear for Mexican food. Sorry Jacalito....we're on to better things!!

Ordered to go. Paid over $18 for a shrimp salad. Asked for island dressing. And none was given. About 1/3 of the avocado on the salad had so many bad spots on it that it was not edible. Will not go back.

Horrible !!! I Won't EAT in This PLACE NEVER Ever Again!!! When I Was There With my Family one employee was cleaning the Floor which is a Rug (Carpet) with a BROOM and All DUST was Jumping ALL Over into our Food & they (employees) Didn't even Paid attention to what they were Doing they were acting Normally as They Always Clean the RUG in the same way, but This Was NOT ALL, Food Was Totally Bad, PORK in the POZOLE was Still RAW and the Soup had NOT FLAVOR!!! Just Water mixed with Red dye. I HOPE this review HELP someone else!

The molcajete was great very large portion enough for two very hungry adults. The meat and shrimp in the molcajete were all very good quality and cooked perfectly. Also this restaurant has a great view of the lake and a large outdoor covered dining patio. Easy parking overall a great experience.

Este es un buen lugar de comida mexicana, probé el pozole, el Guacamole y el chocolate caliente, todo muy rico. Lo único es que pedí salsa picante para mí pozole y me dieron salsa tipo Tabasco, estaría super algo más tradicional y simple como la de solo agua sal y chile de arbol, que no cambia el sabor del pozole. Pero es algo insignificante. La verdad es bastante bueno, y las porciones de comida son grandes. Si regresaría.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Big Bear. There are other good places but Laguna Grill is the best overall.
If you want to spend more and get lower quality, quantity and service the Hacienda is waiting for you.
Laguna Grill is better in every way.

Clean place but that's all they have going for them. The food is terrible and easy overpriced for the quality. It's the blandest Mexican food I ever had.

If you're used to authentic quality Mexican food please save your money. The service was terrible too. Our server was just chatting with other servers the whole time and couldn't even answer our questions on the menu. I definitely do not recommend!

Went here for the first time and I really liked their menu variety as you can choose from tacos to burgers here. I chose to have chorizo and eggs and I thought they were the best Ive had in a long time. They have a large outside dining area that is very comfy even when they had a lot of people as some places can feel over crowded. Their service was quick, excellent and friendly. Pricing can be a bit high but where is it not anymore.

We had dinner on their patio. They were actively setting up new tables and chairs, which we sat on and found to be comfortable. The patio looks to be shaping up to an ideal location to enjoy the freshly made plates - we had a combo plate with a green enchilada and hard shell beef taco and the steak picado. It was all hot and delightful. The homemade tortillas were good too. The chips and salsa were good as well. Will definitely return.

The wife and I were out scouting campsites in and around Big Bear, California. We were looking for something Mediterranean but couldn't find the restaurant at the top on the hill. We did find Laguna Grill by the BB Lake. We shared a chicken taco trio with beans from their lunch menu and shrimp Aguachile, a refreshing cold shrimp cocktail. But not the red shrimp cocktail you might be familiar with (raw shrimp smothered in green Chile lime juice, sliced cucumber, purple onion slices, avocado, and some pico de gallo. The acid in the lime juice turns the shrimp a nice white color. Essentially the juice cooks the shrimp). It bowl was large enough to share.

Horrible service since we entered, we were a big group and so obviously we wanted to split the checks, a rude waitress rolled her eyes at us because she didn’t want to split it just so they can charge the tip all at once, ignored us & walked away. She later send another waitress because she was too shy to come back . Normally we’re good tippers anyways but forcing people to tip a certain amount is not courteous. They also had a camera facing our table which made us feel uncomfortable. Nasty food too, Never going back again.

This used to be our favorite restaurant, going 2-3 times a week. Today we visited and I ordered the Fish Tacos, requesting Flour instead of Corn tortillas. The waitress replied there would be an “Upcharge”, stating Flour is more expensive than Corn tortillas.
Between my wife’s order and mine it would have been close to a $40 meal, not counting tax and tip. We normally spend $20 - $30 on every visit.
I requested to speak to the Manager and a young female Hispanic approach, stating the waitress was correct. We got up and left as it’s ridiculous to charge more for a change in tortillas.
I guess business must be good, loosing repeat “Local” customers over the cost of a couple of
Tortillas.

I love the light and crispy chips with the fresh made taste of their homemade salsa! Carne asada tacos are a must for me too! I Love them and make it a point to come here EVERY visit to Big Bear. Excellent!!!

Worst chilaquiles I've had in my life. Tortilla chips super soggy
The red sauce for the chilaquiles is very unsatisfactory taste wise. Green sauce was just the green sauce can poured into it little sour. Overpriced as well. Food is disgusting! Michelada was good but that's it.

This is our second time coming. It was good the last time so we came back! The chips and salsa are great. The chips come out hot and the salsa has great flavor.

I ordered two chicken tacos. They were good but a bit too salty. They only come with pico de gallo, so if you want anything else on it, that’s extra. It would be better if they just came with a few other ingredients, like lettuce & sour cream. The amount of chicken is a good portion though.

My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and he said the chicken had good flavor. The portion size is great.

The restaurant is clean, even the bathrooms are clean! We will be back the next time we are in town.

The restaurant took a turn last year after the pandemic but has now returned to greatness once again!!! Amazing chili verde omelet!!! Cocktails are fabulous as well!!! 😊

Great customer service. We were a group of 10 seated promptly. The food was good we had mojarra fritas, shrimp tacos the micheladas were really good here. It was my sis b-day and they brought out a slice of cake for her, that was thoughtful. Not a local was there for the weekend will stop by again on our next trip.

The staff was so friendly, service was excellent for us being a group of 8 and the food was delicious. Despite the racism we encountered from local customers in the restaurant for dinning in the staff treated us no different. For thee BEST MARGARITAS de Pina y Sandia come here. Excellent Mexican food! The restaurant was clean, and the servers were very timely. We were checked on several times to see if we needed refills or anything else. We each ordered the chicken fajitas and a pineapple margarita. So good! Would definitely recommend.

We love eating here when we visit my son in Big Bear, the food is delish and everyone all the waitresses are super friendly and accommodating, we celebrated my son's birthday today and they all gathered and sang him happy birthday and gave him a slice of cake so decorative. Great food. Awesome service. Close to the water, so good view of the marina. Has parking and restrooms (our first time to Big Bear and these are rare to find ... LOL). Any ways, glad they had wonderful fish tacos. All their tacos were delicious. Salsa was great. Highly recommend and would eat there again when back in that area!

This was some of the best Mexican food we've had, we did show up 30 minutes before close and the staff was super nice and understanding. The chicken enchiladas were some of the best I've had, only complaint was it needed a little salt, the salsa was better than 98% of the Mexican restaurants I've been to, the chile relleno was better than any I've ever had. Would definitely recommend eating here and next time I'm in big bear this is going to be a permanent stop!

Table side Guac is made in the back... assuming it has to do with Covid. But it was good
Shrimp Cocktail was good. I didn't care for the ketchup on the avocado garnish, hot sauce would've been better or nothing. I did enjoy the cucumber, nice & refreshing!
The service was good! They had more than enough floor staff to ensure your needs are met quickly.
Cadillac Margaritas were good, tasted like fresh lime juice which is sometimes hard to find.

We ate here for breakfast recently. I ordered a wet Chile Relleno burrito. It was ok, seemed bland especially the red sauce and beans that were on the side. The wife had the ham breakfast burrito which was actually pretty good. The Jamaica tasted very watered down. I will say that the servers were outstanding!
