Let me put y'all on to something special. Get you a pizza with spinach & artichoke sauce, shrimp, clams, mushrooms, garlic and green onion. Sounds crazy but it was amazing! Everybody loved it. Also Kendra and Michelle provided great service. Highly recommend 🤌

Their food is delicious, they have some great food! They even have a great drink station with coffee, iced tea, and a lot of other drinks. Their pizza is amazing and same with the service. The large pizza is 16".

Super friendly staff & delicious pizza! This was our plan B when downtown Big Bear was completely unmanageable on a Saturday night. Loved the crust, the sausage/garlic pizza was one of the best I’ve had.

Ordered a couple of pizzas for take-out. They had the pizzas ready right on time (35 mins later). Pizzas were above average, staff were friendly. Would go again. Didn't give them 5 stars because our local pizza place back home has better tasting pizzas but after a day on the slopes, you can't go wrong with Maggio's.
Also they have plenty of Gluten free options - even allowing you to choose a Cauliflower crust or a GF rice crust or even 50/50 mix!

Very solid pizza and a great price—fresh ingredients and nice crispy crust. Cauliflower crust and gluten free crust were both quite tasty. I recommend the Original House Special pizza, we got it (minus the olives) and it was great. Also, don’t forget the gumball machine for the kids!

A great place for good pizza. Great location if you’re in the Big Bear area. You have to pick a table and then order the food yourself at the cashier which I feel brings down the experience. But overall great food.

Big place, lots of food options, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff. Modern cool beverage dispenser with lots of soda options. Big shortcoming is the food. ex, on a bbq chicken pizza the bbq sauce was barely tastable.. the garlic way overpowered the flavor, was a wet pizza as well (odd), the pasta was pretty plane, nothing special, tough to mess up pizza, but here we are. 0 for 3 on dinners.. Large menu though, possible better dishes..

Ordered a couple of pizzas for take-out. They had the pizzas ready right on time (35 mins later). Pizzas were above average, staff were friendly. Would go again. Took the subs and left, busy as I have ever seen it over Christmas/ New Year. Pretty good pizza making skills.
One tip, the front door is covered with lots of small stickers and is easy to get hit when someone else opens the door as you can't see through those stickers.

I literally cannot believe I had to wait 45 mins to an hour to get a 2 topping pizza. It was nice we got our appetizers on time at least and they were pretty good but it was unbelievable how late the pizza came out. People who had just sat down and ordered their pizza got their food before ours. It was worth the wait but me and my dad’s vacation lunch here in big bear was disappointing.

We came here for dinner and most of reviews spoke of the pizza so I decided to try it along with the arugula pear salad. My friend and I split it.

We got our pizza before our salad because they forgot about it. I asked about it when the pizza came. We got the house special and it could have used a bit more cook on it because the toppings were a bit uncooked. The dough was just ok for me. Thick like bread and it was ok.

The salad though was really good. I liked the combination and the dressing was tasty.

Great place for large groups as well.

I take my pizza very seriously being from the East Coast. I give the pizza here about an 8.5 or of 10. It was delicious. The crust was very tasty and the pizza was cooked perfectly.

This use to be our favorite restaurant in Big Bear. My wife and I always stop in for their Lunch Specials, which were the Best Deal In Town.
I stopped in today and ordered my usual sandwich lunch special, which was normally under $13.00 (sandwich, fries or salad and a fountain drink). Today it was over $16.00. I immediate noticed the portions were smaller (meat in the sandwich and fries). The bread was also somewhat burnt, making it hard to chew.
Once I got home I called to ask if they recently raised their prices. The female employee replied, we just raised our prices by a dollar. This isn’t true as I paid over $3.00 for the same sandwich I’ve ordered in the past.
There’s many other restaurants in Big Bear where you can enjoy a great lunch for under $16.00.

Fun atmosphere fun staff. Order at the counter and sit with a number. Leave tip at the table for your servers instead of at the time of order. Seafood fettuccine is delightful.

I have, for the most part, given up on getting quality pizza anywhere after living on 9 states. Imagine my suprise to find one of the best pizzas of my life in Big Bear, CA. As always, I checked reviews, and the restaurant in the busy tourist part of town had the best rating, but Maggie's was closer with easy parking, so what the heck. Storefront pizza parlor in a big Vons shopping center, so plenty of parking. You can smell the food from anywhere in the parking lot. We were greeted at the counter and given menus to take to the table to decide. You go back up to order and pay, get a number, and get your own drinks. The food is delivered. They have one of those drink machines with hundreds of push button options that my grandson loved. I think he tried 10 combinations. We ordered a large salad with cheese and a large works pizza. The salad was a good sized set up with mixed greens and a wonderful vinegrette. Plenty for three. The pizza came, and man, did it have the works. Everything you could think of and all fresh. Thinly sliced zucchini, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and every meat you can think of. The crust was perfect, and the sauce sublime. We couldn't even finish half between the three of us. Wow, was that a great pizza!
Service was post covid standard. Had to ask for a third plate and silverware, but they were very friendly at the counter and trying hard. Normally, I would knock a star off for service, but the pizza was that good.

Maggio's Pizza has a cozy but busy atmosphere, the service was good as well. The only thing that was off to me was the pizza, more specifically the dough that was used. The cheese and sauce was good, but the dough left a weird after taste in my mouth. Overall an interesting experience here.

Pizza was delicious. The restaurant itself had a nice vibe! It would have been nice to dine in. Only criticism I have is the customer service. Seeing all the other positive reviews, I'm thinking it was probably just rough night — which I totally understand! I just don't think it's quite fair to have an irritated tone of voice with the customers who aren't giving you a hard time. Otherwise, support this local business!

This is the third time that they've screwed up our order. I'm totally done with this place. Just because my wife ordered no mustard on her sandwich they eliminated everything but the ham and cheese so she had a dry sandwich she couldn't choke down cause they didn't even put mayonnaise on it . When we called up she said where's everything else that's supposed to be on it ? they said well you said no mustard so that eliminated everything . That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard . Just because she didn't want mustard that means we don't want anything else? No lettuce? No tomatoes? Wow I'm surprised they didn't eliminate the cheese and ham. Over $30 what a rip off. Careful people when you say no lettuce or no mustard or no mayonnaise or know anything they will eliminate everything else on the whole sandwich. Which I think is bull she just didn't want to admit she made a mistake.

I'm from Redlands and just went by today for pizza they totally ignored me and then took my order and I'm the process of me waiting for my pizza they took 30 minutes I went up and asked and they said it was barley ready but it was sitting in the back all ready. Very unprofessional business and are always talking instead of working no wonder it takes 30 minutes per order. Will not be coming anymore.

People seem to think this place is good well maybe for takeout but it's not really the best Italian food at all.. why because ...It is definitely overpriced! The beer and wine prices are off the charts expensive...for what this place is, it's way too overpriced for the quality of Italian food!

Went in just beforr the lunch rush. Had arranged ahead of time for a large group (25). Pizza was Delicious, reasonably priced, adapted several pizzas for dietary requirements without issue.

Would like to see some butter/garlic/parmesan cheese brushed on the crust.

This quaint, feels like you're in Sicily atmosphere, with the kind and joy staff is amazing. Extremely welcoming and efficient, the wait isn't too long but it is beyond worthwhile. Even the drive from down the mountain to this place would be worth it. The cheese pulls stringy and gooey with hearty meats and earthy mushrooms. The sauce is robust and flavorful, not overpowering. The crust with its flaky outside and that soft bite under the cheese makes anyone melt. 10/10 delicious!!!

Maggio’s Pizza is one of a kind in Big Bear. We don’t only dine there, but ordering many plates to take out and warm up in few days, and still tasty. They use fresh ingredients and really nice staff. Always try best to help everyone and accommodate all inquiries. Pastrami Sandwich, Veggie Pizza are my favorite. I can’t wait to try them again very soon. Highly recommended. No one regrets!

1 hour 4 mins for an order and the pizza were terrible.

Too much oil in pastas, the pesto was ok and the spaghetti was ok too.

The pizzas were were burnt, simple cheese pizza was burnt, veggie pizza we asked for jalapeños & it only had jalapeños, like a truck load of them. The pizza dough is too thick to be honest.

Food was really good and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had chicken fettucini, spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese/pepperoni pizza. The chicken in the fettucini was grilled with a light crust but not dry. The pizza was light with a crisp thin bottom. My son imhaled the spaghetti
I assume it just as delicious as everything else. Highly recommend.

Maggio’s service has gone down hill. The paying and tipping is up front so there is no recourse when you receive poor service dispute tipping 20%, so you might as well not tip. We come here every year and have observed the ups and downs. We did not receive the garlic bread that is supposed to come with an entree, and after repeated requests and excuses the “kitchen” said they were too busy to make the garlic bread. This was dispute the fact they were the least busy I have them in seen in years. Sad to see.

Ordered the Margherita pizza and was not to my liking no sauce just bread cheese basil and tomato vegetable. Should really consider making margherita pizza the original way place was also a bit pricey.

I ordered hot wings, xl cheese pizza and fries , the hot wings in the mild sauce were amazing , French fries good even after next day, pizza wasn’t bad but it didn’t have barley and sauce on it not sure if that is just the style they make their regular pizzas but the dough was great and even with little sauce it was still good . Will def order from here every trip. Employees wher amazing and very welcoming even at the tail end of the night when things where winding down.

Wow! We ordered the supreme large and that it was..fried mushrooms THE BEST I have EVER had! Not greasy and tender. The people hosting fabulous! You can see it's happening we were going to take it out decided to eat there and grabbed a table real quick, good thing because as soon as we decided people were everywhere. Came with 4, got a large pizza, jalapeno poppers and fried zucchini. Apps were super hot and crunchy, pizza was very nice as well my family enjoyed it. Cashier was as very nice.They got one of them freestyle coke machines I like those.

Workers on the floor were super nice too. Young girl and boy thanks for letting us know how to order (our first time there).

I see why this place is popular, and it is a really great place to eat at! Especially when you have a huge group of people.
The food is definitely a 5 stars because of how well they prepared it and it is served fresh and hot. It is very delicious and we very much enjoyed it.
The place itself is very comforting and really fits the theme they are going for. Lots of seats available.
The service is awesome, they are quick with their jobs and does great work.

The girl with black hair , she works around lunch time…she made my wife very uncomfortable. Rolling her eyes walking by our table. I’m not sure why she would do this but it doesn’t seem like she should act this way towards customers. The food was great the first day we eat there but the second day the food was not that great! And the service was about the same! We had good service then my wife notices that girl staring giving dirty looks over to our table! We were the only people sitting at a table right in front of the window! So there was no mistaking what party the looks were aimed for. Then about a week later we tried the pizza place again and that same girl was working and the food was not so great! Whatever the problem is I hope that girl can figure it out before we come back so we can give a different review next time we try that place!

This review is a couple days old but I had to make sure I got it in. I’m from out of town and was looking for a good pizza and man I found it. I even had to come a 2nd time for another one before I left home. The pizza was amazing and reasonably priced. I got a small 3 topping with pepperoni sausage and 🍄 the first visit I did. The second visit I got a large 4 topping with pepperoni sausage 🍄 and 🍍. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great pizza 🍕

Not good at all, in my opinion this was the worst pizza have ever tried. I waited forty plus minutes for my small cheese pizza. It’s really bad. Someone should give them a pizza recipe.

Very very excellent pizza. Crunchy light crust, same with the fries. Perfect spot to go after a day on the lake. The hot wings were a bit of a let down only having a dry rub option that were not spicy.

I came here Two years ago on a solo trip to big bear and I stopped by here for pizza. Absolutely loved it, had that super good melt cheese and generous amount tomato sauce. I wanted to bring my family this time and we did and sadly disappointed at the change of their pizza. Was like having fast food chain pizza.

Don't get me wrong it tasted fine, but it wasn't what it was. Service is friendly and they're busy with lots of orders. Either way just wanted point out as someone else has.

Very delicious pizza, I recommend the BBQ chicken paired with the ceasar salad. Fair prices and all the employees were very friendly. 2 large pizzas, chicken strips, and a family size salad fed our family of 7 and we had leftovers. Will definitely be back for more delicious pizza!

This USED TO BE our go to place for pizza in Big Bear. We've even introduced several friends to this place. What happened??!! This past Saturday we came in with a group. The gal behind the counter was anything but friendly. I got attitude and the stink-eye when I reaffirmed our group orders be placed on individual tickets rather than the one ticket she wanted it on. Really lady?! Her reason, we wouldn't eat together. Well our orders came out one after another so we did eat together. The pizza has changed. No where near as delicious as it once was. My husband's pizza didn't have sauce on it!! Isn't that step #2 when building a pizza?! And it was hot inside, 83 degrees according to the thermostat. Maybe this was just a bad day. We'll give them another try some day. But when you get your hopes up based on past experience, and it's anything but, it leaves a sour taste.
