Pretty disappointed with this place. We waited 15min before any one came to take our order and 50 min for our food. Staff seemed very friendly with other tables but ignored us while we waited. Several tables who arrived after us got their food 10-15 min before we did. When asked how long it would be before our food they said it was ready just needed to be “built.” We got 3 breakfast burritos and a burger, I suspect they don’t know how to wrap a burrito. Two of our four meals were cold and the salsa is definitely Tostitos Mild. Only good thing was the burger but you can tell it wasn’t made with love.

Highly recommend the drinks made with their in-house syrups! Originally stopped just for coffee but also got the chicken croissant and it was great! Super friendly, great service. Brown sugar latte was amazing!

Update: Dropped by again today and was not surprised to have an incredible experience. The food is always delicious and hearty, the dining areas are consistently clean and the staff has been very courteous. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. Got the BLT and Tots today with the Diet Coke. Awesome!!

Past Experience: Dropped by here a few days ago with a friend whom recommended it. We were both able to switch our beef patties for chicken which was outstanding! The sandwhich was delicious and those tater tots are fried to crispy perfection. If you're considering stopping by, DO IT. You won't regret it.

I also hear that they've got a superb- award winning chili here.. I haven't tried it yet myself, but I'll be back.

This is a cozy small Cafe with good food and very friendly environment. The food portion is large for the price, the food quality is good, the service is nice and bonus is that restroom is CLEAN! My husband and I had our late lunch here. My husband ordered Western cheese burger with bacon and Cheddar cheese. I had Peppered roast beef with Swiss cheese. We also had one large cheese fries. My beef roast was made great, just enough of everything. I asked for light jalapeño and they made it just perfect. The cheese fry was larger than many other places I have tried, it was fresh, not salty at all. They have fountain drink but we just had water. The young lady serving us and the owners were friendly and welcoming.
After a long day of work around Big bear, Broadway Cafe with its cool vintage deco left a very nice impression. I'll definitely go back and will recommend it to others.

Where do I start.. as we walked in the girl at the counter was counting money or something and made us wait to order for some time and didn’t even apologize. Ok, I guess no urgency is a part of vacation places. Then food was 2 out of 10. Fries were not salted at all, fried zucchini were just falling apart and very weird and chicken salad was nothing special. Although grilled chicken breast was good, that’s why I’m leaving 3 stars not 1

I am so glad we gave this restaurant a try. Everything was perfect! We chose to eat outside on the upstairs patio and had burgers, fries, chili and drinks. Wow! You should definitely try this place the burgers were just as big as the pictures and very tasty.

This has to be the best breakfast I had in Big Bear. Amazng people as well. If you happen to be here and like spice then ask for their in house spicy sauce. Its BOMB. Also their Mango shake was amazing

The food used to be good. I thought we would try it out after the new ownership and it was terrible. The onion rings were solid dough with a tiny piece of onion in the middle. Not crunchy at all just doughy. The roast beef was dry and my salad had sand in it. If you go to a restaurant and nobody's there, there's a reason.

This used to be my favorite restaurant on the entire mountain, but things change I guess.

Ate here with some friends on a recent visit (former local visiting locals). Server was great and communicative. The cook brought out our food himself and didn't even know what he was handing us. I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and got an avocado bacon burger instead. Was just going to eat it anyway because I don't like causing trouble and I like that combo too, but the bacon tasted burnt. They must have started cheaping out on their buns, too, because they weren't very soft and were falling apart like nothing.

Brought my food back to the counter and paid for my buddy's meal, and the older woman behind the counter charged me nearly $5 for my soft drink. What was a $9 combo meal ended up being $14 something after tax. And come to think of it, I ordered a meal too, so my drink should have been comped with the meal I sent back.

Needless to say I won't be returning here. Time to find a new burger spot on the mountain.

Really kind and friendly staff. Set up a table in the patio for us so we could sit outside with our dog. Very friendly to our dog and even brought her a doggy snack in a bowl.

We came here after tubing at the big bear snow play. Food was pretty awesome and delicious, we got their spicey chicken sandwiches and a bunch of burgers. Our waitress was Michelle and she was super sweet and friendly. She was very approachable and actively listened to what we needed. A must go if you're nearby.

Had to have been one of the worst if not the worst burger I've ever had today. Not only did it take 20+ mins to get only 2 burgers when nobody else was even getting their orders made, the patty came out overcooked and dry as can possibly be. Wasn't even warm so im not even sure it was cooked at that moment aimce the cheese wasnt melted at all. The bread was super stale and dry like it had been sitting out for days. Seemed like out was toasted and it wasn't just dry and stale. Not even the "secret sauce" could save the dryness. Only reason I finished it was because I was starving and the lumberjack Cafe was closed when it should've been open lol the only thing going for it was the service was decent. For 2 burgers and fries it came out to $26 😳 worst money spent on a burger in my life I will never return here 😡

I can't wait to have lumber or dinner outside here. They have a great outdoor area and judging from the "doggy menu" are pet friendly! The burgers I got were delicious! And, they make milkshakes. Beer!

We were the only ones in there and it took a very long time to get two burgers and fries. The Burger was OK, frozen patties, nothing special.
We got very little portion of fries and they were all the bottom of the bag pieces.
Over $30 for two people for mediocre food not worth It to me. And it says they are rated #1 burger in Big Bear...mmmya no.

Super rude! 2 women screamed "MASKS"! Give me a break! The chef ties his shoes, wipes his face on his shirt, then proceeds to finish cooking - NO GLOVES AND NOOO MASK!! REALLY PEOPLE?!? This place makes an excellent Burger. Tater tots in lieu of french fries is suggested as a great alternative and dining on the patio is enjoyable. Bring your dogs, they are welcome here.

We come there every year for burgers without buns and the gluten-free fries with coke. Well, it's a small spot, not pretty, but it's kind of Big Bear unique style. I feel like it's a local gem, tourists don't go there. Burger meat is really good!!!

I ordered hot coffee, and here they sell just that: old fashioned, regular coffee, which is what I enjoy, personally. Food selection seemed good, though I didn't order anything. I overheard croissants, as well, for those looking for any baked goods.
Customer service was very warm and welcoming, and even gave us tips on what sights to see around Big Bear. Lastly, there's plenty of outdoor seating, so enjoy 👍

So, immediately after I ordered I thought “even if this place is good I won’t be returning because of how rude the lady was taking my order” luckily for them the other staff member I interacted with completely saved that. She was very very wonderful. Other than that, the food was fine. Nothing special. A typical American cafe burger. Exactly what you would expect. I’m not sure how they have been voted “best burger in big bear” 4 years in a row... I think if you want the best burger, go check out Firerock or Get The Burger. Anyway, it was a cute little spot and I will return if I’m looking for a quick cheap cafe burger again.

You can really tell the difference between two Cooks at this joint. First time there had the best breakfast ever and bragged about it all over. Today I went for pancakes and sausage and I got three pancakes of different sizes none of them normal almost like they ran out of batter. Then gave me for broken pieces of bacon. And no refills on coffee. This'll be the last time I go there which sucks because I live here.

Delicious!! Came here for breakfast, had their croissant sandwich special and it was amazing! Sausage really good, eggs perfectly cooked, and croissant flaky and buttery. And the staff were SUPER nice. Great thing is it’s away from downtown so less crowded and the outdoor patio is perfect for social distancing. Marking this as one of our favs!

I was down the street at the sledding park with the kids and friends. Got hungry and looked up spots nearby with American food and beers. This spot popped up, had outdoor dining and no waits.

Got to the place and wasn't expecting it to be a small joint but definitely worth it. The employees here are very nice, from making sure we had condiments, turning heat lamps on, and checking up on us.

We eneded up ordering about 6 different items and everyone was happy with portions, fresh items, and delicious taste. The kids portions are seriously a regular order adult portion. Prices are cheap in my opinion and very affordable.

Cute lil place with good service. The food is another story. We got the Hawaii chicken sandwich, honestly it didn't taste like chicken at all. The burger was soooo dry and flavorless. I could tell it was a frozen patty, definitely not fresh beef. Their chili was just ok. Now the onion rings ARE AMAZING!!! It was the best part of our meal.

I'm so bummed that we had not tbe greatest experience here because the reviews are pretty great. We drove 45 minutes to get here from Green Valley. We get in and the first thing we see is that no one is wearing masks or gloves when handling food. Saw someone wipe their sweat on the shirt and continue working, again no gloves on at all. Then we're all standing around for at least 3 minutes and no one is acknowledging that we are there. Finally someone took our order (side note: as I'm ordering I saw someone grab a bunch of frozen onion rings- no gloves on and dump it into the fryer). Our food took a long while to come out. My niece found a short strand of white hair in her burger. She said she didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so she didn't speak up or say anything. Like I said, I'm very disappointed after reading all my reviews that this was our experience here.
