Mikel's Donuts & Subs

I happened upon Mikel's for breakfast this morning. The breakfast croissant was huge, fresh, and delicious. The Bavarian cream donut was great and also large. The blended mocha was super chocolaty and amazing. The volume of high quality donuts offered surprised me. I highly recommend stopping here and will be returning myself. Tip: It was before 7 and I had to ring the bell on the counter, but the place was packed before I left.

Talked with owner and he stated business had been slow due to traffic. I understand that it is difficult to make a good profit, but when I looked into my sandwich, there was hardly any ham, and at $8.00, I was hoping to be satisfied and make it my go to. Here are the pictures, hoping someone else will have a better experience because of this. The Steak Sandwich was delicious and worth the price. I suggest passing on cold subs from this establishment. Good donuts. Chinese food next door and an overpriced liquor store. Not bad, just not great.

Best subs in town, possible all of SGV. The donuts are also SO good. I ordered a 12" Cheese Steak and a Maple bar donut for $12. Can't beat that anywhere. Family owned as well so you know the service is top notch and very friendly.

The subs are pretty tasty, and we recommend the Italian Trio or BBQ chicken sub. It's a little hole in the wall with great family service, and the hospitality is genuine. When my wife & I crave a really good sub, we will not hesitate to drive 27 miles from where we live to eat here. Try it, it's worth a try.

Worst customer service ever, this peso. Disrespected me cussed me out because I was waiting before 5 other people came in and she took their orders and made their stuff when I already paid for mine and I was the first one and I waited 30 minutes for a snow cone and over charged for my snow cone and I believe she spit on my snow cone and I tossed it.

Coworkers and I decided to make this place , the place to go to for lunch. So far I've tried the cheese steak sub #2 and the italian sub. Both were delicious! Smoothies 👌🏽👌🏽

This place is something else, lady at counter gossiping with other regulars, meanwhile customers are packing up. Coffee is watered down, no bueno! Most important they charge 80 cents when you pay with card 🤦🏻‍♂️ how ridiculous is that!! First & Last time for me!!

I've been coming here sense I was a little kid. I love the family dynamic and atmosphere they give. And Molly is such a beautiful soul. There subs and donuts are so amazing and good and light and fluffy. Now I bring my kids here and it's still the family dynamic feeling.

We went to this donut shop at 11am, but they only had a very few selection of donuts for a donut shop. No chocolate bars, glazed, or chocolate donuts available. I was really disappointed.

Sandwiches are good and made fresh, way better than subway, also you get a free donut when you buy a large sub. The egg salad veggie sandwich with avocado is my favorite. Small mom and pop shops like this are the best. Support your local businesses.

I worked down the street and was looking for a local sandwich shop. I found this donut shop that sells sandwiches and my life was changed. Just a simple sandwich that taste like magic! I got all of my coworkers hooked! I’m planning on catering from them for upcoming events.

I have been looking for a good sandwich place and was recommended by my daughter. So good and fairly priced. The employee there was really nice. It really touched my heart when a homeless man went in and asked for water. She gave him a cup of ice water and knew his name. Most people won't even let homeless into their restaurants. I decided to buy him a sandwich. Her kindness was contagious! Thank you for being kind!

I eat here whenever I'm in the area. The food is made fresh and tasty. The people are nice and super friendly. It's the perfect place to grab something to eat any time of day. I would recommend it highly.

Love this bakery. The subs have a lot of meat and the bread is chewy and fresh. Now you get 1 free donut per sub and the day old for $5 is still fresh. Did I say I loved this place? Clean and A rating!

Loved the sandwiches. I got a meatball pepperoni sandwich and it hit the spot. You also get a donut. The place is clean , the staff worw masks and gloves when handling your food. Great service and atmosphere. Definitely coming back again.

My family & I have been coming here for years! Always consistently good and high quality! The donuts are fresh and not greasy at all. The sandwiches are to die for! We love them so much that we always get their sandwich platters for parties and they always give us free donuts to go with! You will be blown away once you try their sandwiches...and I think they make their own pickles too!

I have eaten at this restaurant for so many years. It is hands down my favorite sandwhich shop. I am sure they make their own delicious bread. It is always soft, chewy with little bit of crumb/crunchiness on the outside. I would always order extra veggies including pickles and then I found out they sell their delicious pickles. I always make it a point to get a whole pickle now. Veggies are always fresh. My sub of choice is a simple turkey with provolone and avocado. I have gotten a capicola sub before but the turkey is by far the best. I will always come here for delicious sandwhichs.

Order 2 party trays, gone with in minutes super delicious! Staff and owner are very nice and welcoming. Will definitely keep coming here and referring this place for party trays❤. I wish I had a picture but again the sandwiches didn't last, everyone eat them so fast.

Been there a few times when working in the area and we all like it so much. Grinders and donuts are so good. I work with picky people but they all love the food from Mikels. Very friendly there and the prices are pretty good, especially compared to other places. Definitely are "lunch spot" when in the area.
