Best restaurant on the mountain. Short rib and shrimp n grits are dynamite. Good wine selection, decent beers. Friendly service. A few uneven dishes (soup of day last time was not good) but overall best “fine dining” choice in the area.

A nice little spot for dinner. When I say a nice "little" spot... Believe it to be true. It is highly recommended to make reservations before attempting to come to this location. We were lucky to get a reservation upon them opening up for dinner. There is no OpenTable app, old school phone call for reservations. If they aren't there, they will call you back. Also, the parking is limited. If it's not your reservation time, stay away to let those who have a reservation park. We were recommended to this restaurant by a store owner we met downtown. Toni said this was her neighbors restaurant, it was a cozy spot with good food and kind servers. They welcomed us in, sat us, and took care of us. I'd come back again to enjoy a nice peaceful meal. The place is small and tight, so don't come here if you want to be in a corner away from people, not possible here.

Service was amazing. Food was great. The mussels as an appetizer were spot on. Brussel sprouts were very good. Grilled salmon was better than it should have been. I can't remember the name but the eggs Benedict with the crab was amazing. Eggs piached just right, lovely hollandaise and the crab really added a special dimension. Highly recommend this restaurant but Saturday nights, it's really loud, but that's just cause they're really busy. Reservations recommended on weekends.

Dining here is always special. It’s fine dining because of the creativity and quality of the food yet in a casual setting. The beet salad is my favorite thing on the menu right now. But everything I tried has been wonderful. I always order the same thing at restaurants, but here I feel free to explore and I’m always pleasantly surprised! I recommend every dish I’ve tried so far.

Had the Mussels and DuckFatFries for appetizer and Braised Short Ribs. Best fries in the western hemisphere, and they're gluten-free, cooked in a separate fryer! The wife is very sensitive to gluten and she had zero problems after our meal. The braised beef was absolutely incredible, and I should know- my wife makes it for me once a year! Great food, service and PRICE! Can't wait to visit again! A true gem~

This establishment is amazing! My sister went up to Arrowhead for a much needed getaway with her daughters. She checked the forecast and saw that there was a chance of snow on the day she was leaving. She bought chains “just in case.” The morning she was leaving, she woke up to snow and went out to put the chains on her car. They were the wrong size! She then attempted to drive but didn’t feel comfortable due to a lack of traction. She ended up parking in the parking lot of the Stone Creek Bistro trying to map out her next plan of action. She tried AAA they were of no help, she tried the police and they just made her feel worse. Then her daughter had to use the restroom but the restaurant wasn’t open yet. Some employees were in the restaurant and saw that my sister and my nieces needed help and a warm place to rest. They opened their doors early and turned their burners on to let my niece use the restroom and they made them all a warm meal. This place is incredible. I will definitely be eating here in the future. They saw that some fellow humans needed help and instead of turning them away, they opened their doors early and made my sister and nieces warm and welcome. Thank you so much Stone Creek Bistro. You deserve a million stars!

UPDATE: I’m floored! As if this place hadn’t already done enough for my sister and my nieces, the owner drove her to a store to buy some chains (that fit!). There are angels among us. I’m so happy my family will safely make it down the mountain today and that may have not been the case if it wasn’t for the wonderful people at Stone Creek Bistro!

An excellent restaurant for a nice dinner. Their steak and fried are both very good. The best though is their cheesebread and dipping sauce, which is a house made marinera. Literally the best I've ever had.
They also have a good selection of wine and the staff is very friendly. We visit here periodically and have enjoyed it everytime. Hopefully they will have some new things on the menu to try next time.

Another fantastic dinner and many thanks indeed to Madison and CJ who were amazing and attentive, and made our dining experience so fun. Can't praise this restaurant highly enough. Back for more! The roasted chicken is the best chicken in existence. The sauce was incredible. My only desire would be for slightly less truffle oil—it is inherently potent and there is often too much in restaurant dishes, but it was still the best chicken I’ve had in forever. I really see no way you could make better chicken, lol.

The food was amazing. I would say this is by far the best restaurant in the area. I had the tomato bisque and it comes with a toasted cheese sandwich on top… like seriously, are you kidding me? SO GOOD. I also had the Sunday Chicken with the truffle ju. I almost fainted it was so good. Think gravy but with truffle…. Stahhhppp. And then finished with the bingnets. Out of this world.. they were warm and soft. I loved it all. The staff was also incredible. Everyone that came to the table was wonderful. Our server was Jennifer, and she took excellent care of us. The two younger assistants were also very attentive. We never had empty water and we were adequately checked on. We live two hours away, but I would drive back just to eat there.

My husband and I arrived in Lake Arrowhead late afternoon and went to Stone Creek Bistro for dinner. We called them about 30 min prior and made a reservation (recommended).

We were warmly greeted by 2 staff members upon arriving and were seated shortly after. We ordered their beet salad (delicious!), the tomato bisque soup (marvelous!), the soup of the day - which was a cauliflower bisque (my husband loved it!), and the grilled salmon. The portions were generous and the service provided was attentively and with care.

We recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning one day. :)

Went for dinner with a few friends and was completely disappointed. The host, a gentleman, was very rude to us. The food then took for ever... other people came in and out and we were left waiting for long. Once the food came out, it was very salty - from the short ribs to the mash potatoes and the veggies. It's disappointed as I remebered this restaurant having great food and service but I guess not anymore.

The elderly guy who takes reservations and seats you is HORRIBLE. I made a reservation and when I showed up he said I didn't tell him I had a dog with me. He would only seat us outside which was closed and at a Hightop table and chairs. First of all I don't have to tell him I have my SERVICE dog with me when I make a reservation. Second I cannot sit at a Hightop because of hip and back surgeries. Third I pointed out that he should not discriminate against us as my dog is a Service Dog and he was wearing his vest which states Service a dog Do Not Pet...so then fourth he started petting my dog and grabbing his ears. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE DISABLED OR HAVE A SERVICE DOG. I will never eat here again. Food can be good but that guy is HORRIBLE. I wish I would have recorded him so I would have evidence besides the witness and I could more formally complain. This place should be investigated.

I asked again. The waitress so unapologetic and kept saying they are working on it. I told her she must have forgot to put our order in and she said she didn't like being g called a liar and started shaking.. My husband said watch her something wrong. I grabbed my card from her and left.

An absolute must visit when you're in area. Be ready for some pricey dishes but the food was excellent. Highly recommend making a reservation and be ready to get what you pay for. The portions are good sized for what you expect with the prices, but I felt like the wine portion was a little light on the pour. The staff is friendly and well trained. Don't expect a fine dining atmosphere though, expect a family bistro style playing 80s hits but serving high end food.

My husband and I went up to Lake Arrowhead for our honeymoon this past weekend. We LOVED the Stone Creek Bistro so much we went 2 nights in a row. The food was amazing and obviously made with high quality ingredients so the pricing felt very fair. The staff were very nice as well. The one downside is the restaurant is very small and busy so it can be loud and feel cramped. You also almost need a reservation and because of the short hours of operation it can be difficult to secure one for the same day. You can call ahead and leave a message though.

Excellent food and superior service! My partner had the steak frites (fried in duck fat) with a delectable creamy version of french onion soup that was the star of the show (but just barely as everything was delicious)! I had the pork chop with collard greens and mac 'n cheese. For the starter I had the beet salad with a creamy horseradish dressing. Just wow. Everything was cooked to perfection. Food was hot and delivered in a timely way.We ordered a reasonably priced bottle of wine and took our time savoring the fare. Our server was attentive from start to finish and never skipped a beat even though it was busy Friday night. They had a smoked rib special going that evening. The food was pretty good and the service we received directly was very pleasant. However they allow dogs on the patio (no problem I have 2 dogs and I love dogs) but the couple next to us had a dog that started our night by literally jumping on top of me and scratching my legs which I let go, and engaged with the pup. But then the dog barked super loudly multiple times during our meal and neither the owners of the dog seemed to care at all nor did any one who worked there. The couple seemed to be regulars from what I over heard so probably why no one seemed to care and address it. It wasn’t cool. It was very rude. And I love dogs. Can’t imagine how people feel who don’t have or love dogs.

Most the problems I experienced were likely due to sitting outside. Service was very slow, I ordered a glass of wine when the meal came but had eaten the entire meal before the drink was served. Perhaps service is quicker inside. Additionally, and I understand this is out of their control and likely due solely to the time of year, but the eating area was overtaken with moths in the evening, falling into our drinks and buzzing around our heads the whole time - again, could be avoided by sitting inside. Food was decent but hard to overlook the other problems.

The sticky toffee pudding is served piping hot in a cast iron skillet with a perfectly tangy creme fraiche. I wish I could have tried everything on the menu! The restaurant is in Blue Jay, just a quick 10-minute drive from where I was staying in Lake Arrowhead, and there is indoor and outdoor seating. They were busy, I'd recommend calling ahead to make a reservation.

Everything is great. But I have to say they have the best cheeseburger I have ever had. The prime rib is amazing too.

Take out... Not even sure how the food is because I was so upset by the fact that the cooks weren't wearing masks.

Wow, FABULOUS food! We ordered to-go (the only option right now) for our anniversary dinner, and everything was impeccable! After hiking the Pinnacles, we were famished, and the food was ready when expected, packaged well, and mostly still hot (the Brussels sprouts were lukewarm but still delicious!). I had the shrimp and grits - I hadn't ever eaten grits but they went really well with the shrimp and the sauce was so good that my husband stole some for his baked potato! He ordered the smoked prime rib on the recommendation of the friendly, polite server who take our phone order, and he wasn't disappointed! It was perfectly prepared, moist & flavorful. Everything was great and we'll be back!

I should preface this review by noting that our dinner was to go. Food was good though the large salad was in fact quite small. Steak frites was excellent but the chicken sandwich was unusually spiced - possibly with allspice. Fried peppers were ok though a bit mature and brussel sprouts just fair. Considering the prices I was expecting something better, but to be fair it would likely be better eating on site

Nothing special going on here. Not sure why this gets a 4.8 star. The Italian a few doors down has a much more diverse menu, better atmosphere, better service, much better wine selection. Very disappointed by the limited menu, the food was ok/average but we were expecting so much more. Menu was basically steak or burger. Two American classics.

We ate there yesterday, my daughter is vegan, and there wasn't a starter on the menu for her, but the waitress offered to make the Brussels sprouts vegan, just for her. They were delicious, and I don't like Brussels sprouts. They were delicious. The Thai curry my daughter had was truly wonderful. My husband had the Steak Frits, it was perfect. He loved it. The duck fat fries were excellent. I had the salmon, and again, perfection. My risotto was delicious, asparagus was lovely, and my salmon was fantastic. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and so helpful. We will definitely be back there again. Highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I dropped in after a long drive, too tired to cook for ourselves, and discovered our new favorite restaurant. This place was truly impeccable. Warm, incredible service, amazing food, family owned and locally sourced, full of friendly patrons and great ambience. A slam dunk in every category, you simply wont miss by dining here! We hope you get Jen as a server, she was so fun and helpful!!

Excellent service from Jennifer, delicious upscale food in a cute mountain roadside bistro. Perfectly cooked calamari and succulent brussel sprouts. Comfort food style rigatoni & short ribs. Locals recommended this as the best food around & they were right.

I just moved to the area and decided to give this place a try based on reviews. And I was pleasantly surprised how amazing it was. Our waitress Jaime was very kind to us and very detailed with the menu options. I tried the tomato bisque and my fiance tried the Rigatoli. My goodness it completely blew me away! The flavors were something you'll only find in a fine dining restaurant. Definitely recommend this place. I will be coming back

Service was wonderful and the food was very unique and delicious. I enjoyed the apple and celery bisque. The mac and cheese fritters were also very good. Lastly, the pork porterhouse was cooked to perfection. The establishment can get pretty busy on a Saturday night so make your reservation in advance.

I guess the REAL whipped mash potatoes no longer being served with certain items on the menu..always have the duck served on red cabbage with mashed potatoes. Now they serve what they call a Porree which is Instead a sloppy fake potato mixture and tastes just like the dry potato flakes out of a packet but completely watered down and pretty tasteless. This was up to now in my opinion the only decent restaurant in the lake arrowhead area where you could have a good tasty meal with European flair. Their duck fried french fries are to die for.
Too bad.
