Welcome to Puglia Italian restaurant page.
Our goal is the freshness and the authenticity of the Italian cuisine.
Everything it’s made at the moment and none of our dishes/sauces are frozen nor pre made.
In the weekends the waiting time could be longer but definitely worth it.
We recommend reservations.
Grazie mille!
Food was tasty. Place was a bit small. The outside seating looked a bit more roomy. Did have a gentleman playing some music. It was a nice. A bit pricey but nice date night. Parking may be a challenge if they are busy. Would recommend calling for reservations

There is a 15% service fee, so consider that before you go. But don’t let that scare you, the food is truly delicious. Very much worth the price. If I had a bigger stomach, I would have ordered more. The crust of their pizza, I don’t know how they do it!

My kids and I loved this place! Beautiful setting up in Crestline and the staff was amazing. Italian people at an Italian restaurant is always a good sign! The food was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed everything we ordered from appetizers, to entrees, to desserts. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and was happy to share suggestions. We will definitely be back.

The authenticity and quality of this restaurant is incredible. No restaurant located in a remote mountain town has any business being this amazing! This is some of the best Italian food I’ve had outside Italy. The restaurant is family run; (the restaurant is named after the region that the family comes from, which happens to be the same region of Italy that my family came from a century ago.) If you eat anywhere in the mountains this should be the top of your list.

Such wonderful, authentic Italian food & atmosphere! My husband is 100% Sicilian, and much of the food reminds him of home. Great service, too. They import the olive oil and wine from Puglia, Italy, and it is the best!

I really want to give this place more stars. I've been here several times and it has consistently gotten worse to the point that I don't think I'll return. When this restaurant first opened, you couldn't get a seat. Now, you don't need to make reservations and it's largely empty on weekends.
The food is good but not worth the cost. The wine pours are laughably small for 19 dollar glasses. The service is good, but not great. The 15% service charge for every table, regardless of head count, is absurd.
With the already lofty food/drink prices, it should be the responsibility of Puglia to provide quality wages to employees, not an additional cost for patrons to bear. Also, tips should be earned, not automatically given. Charging 15% upfront caps what servers are being tipped, regardless of how well they serve. In my opinion, the only time a service fee should be added are to large tables that over burden staff, but when we were the only ones in the dining room on a Sunday afternoon, it felt disingenuous.

It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but my wife and I were extremely disappointed with the food especially. We ordered a spaghetti dish with meat and there was barely any meat and the sauce was so bland. They added a service on top of the bill without notice as well. Around $75.00 for sauce and pasta! We will not return because of the low quality food.

Over priced. Over rated. Mediocre food. I hate that they ask if we have a reservation and the restaurant is empty. Servers are goofing off and being loud within earshot of our table. Not very fine dining. On a positive note there is food which is edible.

Had been here several times before all very good. On this occasion the food was well below average and took forever. Our server was nice, but not up to par and they automatically added a 15% service to the bill for a party of 4. Its on the menu, so shame on me for not reading it. Ill not be in any hurry to return, if at all. Buona fortuna Puglia!!

I was excited to go eat here. We sat upstairs in awkward seating. Drink and bread service was quick. But it took a while for our server to show up. I ordered the lasagna, as a group we ordered appetizers. The appetizers came out in a timely manner and were quite good. But our meals took almost 2 hours to finally arrive from the time we ordered. I had to walk downstairs and ask what happened to our food when people who arrived after us started getting their food and desserts. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, but the lasagna was the worst thing Ive ever tasted. Ill likely never go back after this experience. Everyone at my table unanimously agreed that the taste of the lasagna was so disgusting, it almost ruined their meals with a small taste. I couldnt wait to leave.

Pizzas were Fantastic, Service was Good, Do Not Appreciate a 15 percent service charge for their employees. The restaurant needs to adjust prices and/or wages, but Dont add an additional charge beyond the gratuity, That Is Not Appreciated, do not expect your patrons to tip the standard tipping if you have this additional charge.

Such an amazing place. Every single individual brings something special to the table. The pasta, the wine, the experience is all worth it. We moved out to the patio to finish off our bottle of wine and enjoy the fresh pine scent. If you are looking for a truly special Italian experience, this is the place to come to.

Small portions..flavorless..pasta very undercooked geez took my daughter there for her birthday $100 and not worth $30.. ate outside and it smelt of backed up septic tank and pretty sure that s what it was..never felt so ripped off for a meal that was supposed to be a special birthday meal for my daughter and I..I almost paid for my flat beer and walked out and now that I m home wish I should have.. horrible eating experience!!!!

We the lasagna, baked ziti, shrimp linguine, and spaghetti with sauce. Everything had ham in it. Not sure why. Food was bland. Nothing special for the prices. Would not recommend if you want good food. Also, a 15% charge to give staff a living wage. Seems bad business practice.

After having great experiences last year, we came back excited for another great evening. Unfortunately something has clearly changed here. The food arrived cold, all at different times, causing us to wait for everyone to politely eat together. They never filled our water throughout the dinner either. The food quality was absolutely abysmal- watering and tasteless. While we were still finishing our dinner, the waiter gave us the bill, which was odd and felt extremely pushy. Quickly after the bill was paid, we were asked to leave for their next guests. This would be understandable if we had been there for a long period we were there barely an hour!! I ve never been pushed out in such a rude manner. We will not be coming back.

Carbonara pasta with the carbonara show which included frying cheese with an egg = $50. There was no warning about the additional cost of the snow so beal aware, this is probably how they get tourists. The food was cheap tasting and one of my friends Bolognese pasta hardly had any meat. The price doesnt match the quality and it is a tourist trap.

I don t know who is leaving these good reviews, but i suspect it would be people who have never traveled or eaten real Italian food. Super touristic, tacky and canned food served with outrages prices. An absolute embarrassment.

Portions were tragically small. Taste was on point, just wish it atleast filled me up. Our first waiter was on his phone right behind us and couldnt even keep our water cups from being empty for periods of time. Restaurant dinning tables were small and crowded but it made more sense when the food came out. We got a different waiter towards the end, he was great, but a little confusing as it was never communicated.

The service was good, but the food was not fresh and overpriced. The pasta was not Al dente, it was undercooked. The bolognese was canned or frozen. I know because the taste and the vegetables were cut into perfect cubes as though from a factory. This is not real Italian food, but a cheap Americanized version. I m not really a wine person, but I like to have some with Italian. Of course they were out of the cheaper options, so you re lookin at spending ~$80+ for a bottle. The atmosphere would be okay, but for some reason there are a lot of prominent, large pictures of some guy and his dog staring at you while you eat. All together, for two entree s, bottle of wine dessert, and tip, you re gonna spend over $200. Just know that restaurants on the mountain do not have to try because people will go either way.

Today, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease. The interior design of the restaurant was tastefully done, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a delightful ambiance. It was the perfect setting for an intimate dinner or a gathering with friends and family. The attention to detail in creating such a welcoming atmosphere was truly commendable. Now, onto the food. Oh, the food! I can confidently say that this Italian restaurant serves some of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Every bite was a burst of flavors that transported me straight to Italy. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich and savory sauces, each dish was a work of culinary art. The use of fresh and high-quality ingredients was evident in every plate that arrived at our table. The pricing of the food we received at this Italian restaurant was truly a testament to the exceptional quality and flavor. While some may consider the prices slightly higher than average, it is important to note that the value for money is absolutely worth it. When it comes to dining out, I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. In this case, the slightly higher price point reflected the use of premium ingredients, the skillful preparation of each dish, and the overall dining experience. The attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of our meal. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that we had a seamless dining experience from start to finish. Whether youre a fan of classic Italian dishes or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant has something for everyone. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring that there is always something to suit every palate. In conclusion, I highly recommend this cozy Italian restaurant to anyone in search of a memorable dining experience. The combination of the inviting atmosphere, exceptional food, and attentive service makes it a standout choice. David Enriquez SpotOn - Hospitality Expert Technology that works the way you work

The place and environment is okay but portions are extremely small for their prices. I paid $25 for an octopus pasta and there was only 1-2 pieces of octopus in the plate!! Likely, midnight pasta portion was EXTREMELY small. Go when you are not hungry :) otherwise you would waste your money

Also, solid beer and wine options. Friendly staff, really cozy little restaurant. Good for a date night or schmoozing. Vegetarian options: Italian food is good for vegetarians, lots of tasty veggie options without feeling like a compromise. Eggplant Parm was A+

Came here with my family. Already enjoy their pizza! Everything tastes fresh which is great, menus looked a bit dirty and the glass my friend had didnt look completely clean. Otherwise very good food in my opinion! Vegetarian options and portions arent too big which I personally like. Ill definitely be back and their pizza is so good! I loved the fresh herbs on the last one I got, but I got my pizza uncut I get the feeling that the food is great. Some tweaks in attention to detail, organization of workflows, and this place can reach 5 stars for sure.

We really wanted to like this restaurant as it was recommended by friends. Things started well, service was good and the owner paid us a visit at our table. He was a nice guy. Then the food came. Wow, what a disappointment. I ordered a dish that was rolled up beef slices with spinach in it with fresh pasta and tomato sauce. It was completely flavorless and there is no way that the pasta was fresh. I ve had fresh pasta plenty of times. What I had was from a box. The owner asked if I wanted fresh pasta or regular (naturally the fresh pasta is an up sell). Duh, of course I want fresh I said. That is not what I got. My wife ordered lobster ravioli. Unfortunately the flavor that dish had was a fishy taste that wasn t fresh. This meal was about $150. Needless to say we felt ripped off and we will not be back.

We were looking forward to a great Italian dinner. This place has a good rating and the parking lot was mostly full. We did not review menu or prices before sitting down. The prices were on the higher side especially considering it s not a fancy place. Some items are outrageous (all of the antipasto, $15 for soup? Least expensive Wine by glass $16.) the dinners seemed on the high side too but thought if it s good that s ok. salad does not come with entree. We ordered lasagna and egg plant parm. Lasagna had Only two slices of pasta and tons of cheese. It was not the traditional stacked style. The egg plant parm was literally sliced 3-4 pieces. Both dishes looked the same as they were both drowning in sauce. Sadly we were both still hungry when finished. Seriously this place is probably one of the worst Italian restaurants we ve been too. Service was great. No we didn t complain.

This place is a little gem, but the staff is not welcoming. We stood around waiting to be greeted/acknowledged. Seemed their friends at a table got all the attention. Once seated our waited was relatively attentive to us. We dined outside, so lovely! I do think the portions are SMALL for the price as I looked at other guests dishes and remember that from my last visit. . Dont go without reservations, they dont like that. Years ago I had the eggplant parmesan, not sure if I saw it on the menu but we opted for the pizza. The pizza we ordered was to have basil on top but they added arugula. While we like it, others may not. Lots of salad choices but balsamic vinegar and oil on EVERY salad turned me off. I dont like it. Our check took us flagging down someone, this is at around 4pm so not busy. Enjoyed the bread but could you give an option of butter?

First off, the positive. The atmosphere is cute and comfortable, while the servers and staff are friendly and attentive. And now, the negatives. There is some serious parking shortage in front of this restaurant. If the restaurant is full, you will probably have to find parking a good distance from the restaurant. We waited for our meal a good hour after placing our order. The prices are too high for what is being offered; the meals are smallish and they tasted as if made from general market ingredients. We ordered spaghetti with meatballs and a lasagna. Both of these dishes tasted the same, but were just prepared to look different. The red sauce tasted like store-bought ragu, the meatballs were bland, and the pasta was ... basic pasta. One would think the spaghetti plate would have been the larger of the two, but no... the cheap spaghetti portion was the smallest Ive even had when compared to O-Garden, Buca-di-Bep.., or any other cheap Italian restaurant. And they all taste the same. Oh, and dont forget the $4.50 coke with no free refills. Seriously??? We wanted to love this place, as it would have been our go-to stop when visiting Lake Arrowhead, but due to the high prices, small portions, and average-at-best tasting dishes, our first visit here is our last one. I truly cant recommend this place to anyone, unless you never had any Italian food before. As a final note, they dont serve pizza on Saturdays, which we were told costs $25-$35 per their 14 pie. Again, very overpriced compared to other authentic pizzas that cost under $28 elsewhere. If you seek authentic Italian food, try Fuoco in Fullerton or Forettis in Newport Beach. Both places have amazing authentic Italian food for less $ than Puglia.

Published at a year ago
Horrible . The wait was so long . Feels like we were forgotten , as well as a couple sitting next to us that were seated before us . The appetizer was great and fast , after that it was more than an hour for unsatisfactory lasagna and a place of caprese spaghetti . A waitress that went upstairs to check on things told us she would check on our food after pointing out we were waiting for 45 min . She never returned to tell us what the hold up was . My husband had to go downstairs to ask and we finally received our food before the couple that was seated 15 minutes before we arrived . Portions were tiny and my spaghetti was over salted .we were very hungry so we ate it . Never going back though. No communication , some follow up would have been appreciated if something was holding back the kitchen . So it just seemed people upstairs were forgotten .

The best part was that we showed up when they opened and immediately sat us down(party of 7). The food showed up after an hour of waiting. The pasta was cold and the sauce was watered down. The prices are high and the portions are outrageously small. We ordered the black truffle gnocchi ($33) and it came to more than $1 per individual gnocchi piece for how little we received. The spaghetti with meatballs ($24) was a tiny portion of spaghetti with 4 tiny meatballs. The spaghetti caprese ($23) is supposed to come with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella balls, but there was scant diced tomatoes and itty bitty pieces of mozzarella. At half the price, I would have been disappointed. At the prices we paid, Im outraged. Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options marked on the menu. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free items mentioned on the menu, which is very nice.

When you live on the mountain, you know your dinner options don t change much but this is one of those places I know we won t get tired of! Food was great, staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. They even had live music the day we went. (Thursday) Reservations seem to be needed. We made one and were seated quickly but by the time we were done eating the whole place was packed. The bruschetta is a must, and I m not usually a fan of Olives but these were perfect for the plate. We also ordered the Prosciutto Cotto pizza and the Braciole Pasta. Both were very enjoyable but the Pizza was our favorite. (chefs kiss) We had the wine special (red and white wines) and they were perfect for our dinner. Oh and the olive oil they use for their meals and bread appetizer is as good as the oils we tried in Italy. They even sell it there! We finished our meal with the Tiramisu which has some extra layers of flavors added than a traditional tiramisu but it was still very good! The one thing that might turn people away from coming back are the prices (as mentioned in other reviews) but the quality of ingredients and cuisine wisdom is there, and when you live on the mountain, you won t be finding that elsewhere. I m sure it s not easy to maintain the standard of quality they have when located in Blue Jay but we appreciated it and would go back again. If you don t live on the mountain, you might have your own favorite Italian place down the hill or in LA that might be hard to compare it to but I promise you won t be disappointed. We look forward to going back and trying different things. They even have a rotating menu and weekend specials.

This restaurant needs massive improvements. The service was attentive, just not informative about items on the menu. The atmosphere is off the chart. Ok, to the food - the chicken piccata was dry and overcooked, and the side of veggies (carrots & green) were cold and overcooked. The rigatoni pasta was from a box, not homemade, and the few meatballs were way overcooked. Fresh pasta is so light and fluffy and easy to make by machine or hand.

This place was a huge disappointment. It s a shame because the staff seems so nice and attentive and the restaurant is so romantic. We really wanted it to be good. Unfortunately our party left with stomach aches. Spending $50 per person, there s no excuse for the poor quality food we just consumed. The pasta tasted old and store bought. The octopus pasta dish was almost inedible because of the saltiness. The chicken piccata was dry and came with a side of cold vegetables including baby-cut carrots (the kind you get from a bag). The meatballs were overcooked. Even the coke was flat. We won t be returning.

I recently had dinner at Puglia Italian restaurant in Blue Jay, California. I was looking for a casual Italian place with good food and service, and Puglia definitely delivered. I started with the bruschetta, which was perfectly toasted and topped with tomatoes, basil, and garlic. For my main course, we shared a small pizza and eggplant parmigiana both cooked to perfection and flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was happy to answer any questions we had about the menu, and he made sure that our glasses were always full. The atmosphere at Puglia is casual and relaxed. The restaurant is small and intimate, with warm lighting and exposed brick walls. Its the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends. I had a great experience at Puglia Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Italian meal.

Over priced raviolis that was on the part of the menu that didnt have prices. And they where soggy and half empty. The chicken piccata (bland) had cold over cooked vegetables. No pizza menu we found out they had pizza after we ordered. The pizza menu isnt part of the over priced menu. The waters did know anything about the food or the menu. I guess there just counting on tourism. First time last time.

We live in Lake Arrowhead and really try to support all the businesses in the area. We ve been to Puglia several times. Each time, we swear it s our last, and yet we decided to try their pizza day. This time, it is THE LAST TIME. The manager was a complete jerk when I mentioned that my Prosecco was flat and warm. He made a sarcastic remark about being able to still see bubbles, and then he brought out a bottle to the table and said, I personally opened this bottle in the morning. He poured it and asked me to confirm that I could see bubbles and said feel the glass- it s cold, and you can see the bubbles, right? Now taste it so you can see it s not flat. At some point, I had to laugh. What was happening!? The worst part is that he was making the customers at the table close to us very uncomfortable. Antonello really needs to examine who he hires. Further, the food is okay. Read the other reviews. NOT worth the price. Just wait til you re back down the hill to eat Italian food.

Made a reservation for Father s Day, called to see if we could move from 4:30 to 5 and they had no record of my 4:30 reservation!! The man who answered the phone was not helpful and incredibly rude. Commented to the owner on Facebook about my experience and my comment was deleted! Such a sad experience when I ve driven an hour to come here countless times including to support them during the snow storms.

The pizza (Sundays only, reccomend a reservation) is the best meal of the year, everything else is playing for 2nd place. Love everything about this place, you can absolutely taste their dedication to their craft. If they are offering a pizza not on the menu, thats the one to get! But you cant go wrong whatever you choose. And the midnight pasta and tiramisu are definitely worth getting.

Tiniest portions. Like, comically tiny for the prices. The food was good, but not mind-blowing as it should be for the cost and portions. If you order to-go, make sure you have utensils and napkins wherever youre going because all they pack is the food - what little there is of it - and send you on your way.

The food was outstanding, the service was great and the atmosphere was cozy. My only complaint would be that the music was a little to loud since I was right next to the speaker and wasnt what youd normally hear at an Italian restaurant. The music was good but I personally think it should have been Italian. They still get 5 stars. Definitely going back. Wheelchair accessibility: They have an electric lift outside.

Puglia catered my daughters school fundraiser. We got to try 2 kinds of lasagna, baked ziti, and eggplant parmesana. The marinara sauce tasted freshly handmade. We were glad to try a variety and impressed with the presentation of the catering. Each was wonderful in its own way but my favorite was the eggplant. Well definitely be ordering again - 10/10!

One of the worst places to eat Italian food in Lake Arrowhead. The food is extremely salty and tangy. The food lacks basic italian flavor. Even Oliver garden or some fast food have better flavor than this place.
Published at a year ago
Would not recommend this place to anyone. The food is overpriced and extremely tangy. Ordered $28 octopus ragu but they ran out of octopus and came back 20 minutes later to inform us about it. We ordered branzino instead which did not have any price mentioned it was outrageously price at $81 without letting us know. The fish come with extremely salty olives. The restaurants idea of taste is over salty dishes or tangy tomato sauces. The food was delayed by 45 minutes so just to rub it in our face they threw a $7 discount for long wait.

We enjoyed the atmosphere in what appeared to be a cozy converted nostalgic home. We visited on a Thur night and the lasagne to me was so unique and delicious with its elevated recipe. the Italian flour from Naples for the homemade pasta is so superior as well. To add input vs some reviews, Arrowhead is not a bustling metropolis, we expected a smaller business and understand current challenges, enjoyed our wine, relaxed and savored the food, this is dinner, slow down and enjoy some conversation, embrace the European way. I did not experience any untimeliness of service. The team tonight was attentive and did a fine job. As far as prices, this is elevated and specialized ingredients in line with any other restaraunt of its caliber. I appreciated the partner, who s name I failed to get while talking things Napoletano, has a contagious enthusiasm for his business, his foods and wines, although I brought my own wine tonight . . . This time, next time I look forward to trying their pairings with the New Zealand lamb chop! Thank you very much for an enjoyable evening, we ll definitely be back!

The best Italian I ve had on the West Coast! I grew between Boston and New York, spending time in the North End and Little Italy. Puglia is just the ultimate. Their wines pair perfectly and they re available at all price ranges. The location up on the mountain makes it a nice getaway from LA. It s now my favorite place to go to when I visit the LA area

Lovely authentic Italian restaurant with great vegetarian and vegan options! I had the vegan black truffle gnocchi and it was devine! We did have to wait some time even though we had a reservation, but it was obvious that staff was doing what they could to get everybody taken care of. A reservation is a must, 10/10 recommend this place for your next amazing Italian meal. Vegetarian options: They had several vegetarian options that were clearly labeled, but the vegan options were only clearly labeled on their website

I want to respond to the response the restaurant owner or manager. But nowhere to respond. We did not see the prices for wines or beer on their beer. Yes, we could have asked for prices, but we had no idea he would recommend the most expensive wine for us $23 per glass, not even a good size. One of the Spaghetti was child size for about $20. The owner who served us was very nice. We all ordered Spaghetti and decent. It was four of us, and we all ordered different type of Spaghetti, one Spaghetti was so small it wouldnt even fill up a child. There is no price on the menu for wine and we were surprised about the wine the owner suggested $23 per glass. The place is cozy but the prices are outrageous.

First time eating here. Came to celebrate my birthday. Food was delicious, authentic and fresh, the restaurant is charming, staff is exceptional, they all were smiling, delivered fast service, someone came around asking if we needed anything and our waitress was phenomenal. They even turn the lights off to sing you happy birthday in Italian. Just moved here and this will be my spot. We brought our own bottle of wine and they charged $20 corking fee which is normal. Recommend making reservations as I did because I was told they get booked fast on the weekends. It was a full house but the staff ran it smoothly Vegetarian options: So many Dietary restrictions: Menu has options for everyone Parking: No problem parking Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair lift

High quality authentic Italian food comes at a higher price but it is well worth it here at Puglia Italian. Happily spent over $200 for the 3 of us since each one of us very much enjoyed our meals. My son devoured his spaghetti and meatballs. If it wasn t good, he would barely touch it no matter how hungry he is. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her LOBSTER RAVIOLI and was still raving about it afterward. Luckily I was able to taste it and I think this plate was the best blend of richness and flavor. Out of our 3 plates, this one is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I went for the Branzino and wasn t expecting it to be served at the table cut out right from the sea bass. But that makes for a cool experience. And they have an authentic Italian sauce that they pour on top which was also unexpected but tasty. The serving size was very generous compared to other Branzino plates from other locations. The manager also recommended the KOBE BEEF RIB EYE. When we return, I plan to try that.

Food is decent. Not amazing. Too pricey. The black truffle gnocchi tasted like it was missing the second most important ingredient- the truffle!!! $33 dollars for truffle gnocchi with no truffle. Not a good look or taste. The most enjoyable part of our meal was the wine, which overpriced, was really great, Nero di Troia. I do highly recommend that wine. I wish I had the experience the people who gave 5 stars had. It deserves 2 and a half stars. It took 15 minutes after we were seated just to get our menus. Every dish we had was at least $5 too expensive. Having eaten in Parma, Milano, Roma, Napoli, Venezia, Torre Maggiore, Pisa, Sorrento, Capri, Torre del Greco, Bergamot, Como, Foggia, Positano, Amalfi, Portofino, the North End of Boston and little Italy in New York, Ive had great Italian food, mediocre Italian food and been to my fair share of tourist traps. This was mediocre and feels like a quasi tourists trap. In LA weve eaten plates from Michelin star chefs for less.

Went Saturday for dinner without a reservation, the hostess was super nice to help us get a table even though they were really busy. So try to make a reservation before coming here during the weekend. The place is super adorable both outside and inside by the way! Once seated, our waiter (I unfortunately did not get his name) but he was so amazing as providing us the best service during our time there. He recommended the octopus salad which is amazing by the way. I then got the spaghetti zito which was so flavorful. To end the night, I ordered a cappuccino which was also really good. The staff was all very friendly, I highly recommend and look forward to coming again!

This is a dining experience - it takes a while to get your food, so order an appetizer and a bottle of wine - the reason it takes a while to get your food is each dish is cooked to order - no pre-made food hear - I highly recommend this restaurant - I also recommend it to make a reservation

We had an early reservation around 5:30. We ordered lasagna and the lamb chop on special menu, it took about 45 minutes for our food to come. The restaurant wasnt busy at all. The lamb chop was over cooked and not worth over $40 on special menu.

We went here for a special occasion and had a reservation. I averaged the stars. If giving stars solely for food I would give four stars. This is an expensive restaurant with authentic food. The lasagna was excellent and large portion. The lasagna picture only shows part of the portion. The desserts were good. The service I would rate a two star. It was not up to par. I had to ask three times to refill our drinks. The serving dish was chipped and my husband almost cut himself. We were seated in the back near storage area and salad girl making salads. Our table was wobbly. They had an outside elevator for handicapped which did not work. Would I go back? I dont know if I would try again.

Good food nice stuff. I didnt know we had to have a reservation. They took us anyway but I still suggest you get a reservation. Or at least call first. We stopped in between the lake and our campsite. My son got the tortellini, my youngest got spaghetti and meatballs. You have to try the bruschetta (we got one and I noticed every other table had it too so it must be known for it) the lasagna was just okay.

Puglia s food is great; the wine is good but a little on the expensive side. I didn t mind spending though until tonight we asked for more bread and was told it would cost us $4. The first basket had 4 very small pieces of bread. We were astounded Puglia would charge for 4 more small pieces of bread. That is outrageous.

I love supporting local, small business but unfortunately our experience with Puglia was horrible. We waited 1:45 minutes to get our food, and we just requested it to go. While we waited nobody apologized for the wait, did ask if we needed anything or give us any updates. Everyone around us was also waiting, another table it took 1.5 hours for a salad. They did get us seated right away, but it probably would have been better if we hadnt gotten seated. The food is not great and very, very over priced. I will unfortunately never be back. I would only go here if you are ok allowing 2.5 hours for your meal.

So we stopped by for the first time a few weeks ago. We were super excited to try it, but left a bit disappointed by the taste of the food. We ordered their special that evening and the pizza was so tiny with hardly any ingredients on it. For the price, youd expect there to be a bit more. I order lasagna which was good. This place is pricey. We paid $35 for a personal pizza and $22 for the lasagna. Environment is nice and staff was friendly. For the price, I kinda expected a bit more in taste and qauilty. Dont think we will go out of our way to eat here again any time soon

Never have i ever left this kind of rating before to a restaurant also understanding the impact it can have on a Business but what we Experienced is nothing less than an Insult. Just to begin as someone that eats out i got to say Organic Ingredients or Not, Imported from Italy or not, the over all Quality of the food was low, small and Over Priced, as well as Pasta Cooked Al Dente, which is how pasta should be cooked slightly under cooked but their Pasta is so Sticky to the point it Sticks to your teeth like Glue. Mainly our main concern and down point is not the price but a bad experiance with a Dish ordered with Pecorino Cheese which as a person that does eat Blue Cheese and other Bold ones i and even my wife across the table Where overwhelmed by the Smell not to talk about the Taste which was too strong to bear and VERY BITTER, from that point forward weve kindly notified our server that somthings wrong and after a small onteregation and some questions such as where are you originally from? What kind of cheese are you familiar with what kind of cheese you usually eat they have taken the dish which by the way we have not eaten from and they asked us what we would like instead and we chose a tomato baed pasta, but after a while the server noted just before it came that they are charging us for both of the dishes not adding much..so thats how a 2 people meal with pasta no wine becomes 170$ of pure joke service and some what food too. Wont return and wont recommand anyone. Hopefully theyll get more service oriented...felt embarrassing.

Personally, I have 10 years restaurant experience and I have never been more disappointed as a patron than I was at Puglia tonight. We were a party of 7. First, 2 of the dishes the table ordered the server had to come back and tell the table the restaurant was out of them and asked for a new order. Which I understand, its a small place... Things happen. What I do not understand is how the table ordered 7 dishes and only 6 were delivered to the table with no communication about the missing entree. It was not until I had to personally stand up and walk to the server to ask where the food was. 15 minutes after the 6 other entrees where delivered... The 7th entree finally came. I wish that was all that was wrong. We also ordered the lobster ravioli and it made the whole table smell like bad fish. The dish was returned and the server said sorry and did not even bother to ask if we would like to replace it with something different. Overall for the price youre paying for an authentic Italian dinner, our table was extremely disappointed. 10 out of 10 I do not recommend this place. Expensive, poor food quality and insulting service. We collectively agreed non of us will be back.

We tried Puglia to celebrate our anniversary, and were profoundly glad we did. I truly believe the cannelloni was the best meal Ive ever had. I dont claim to be an expert, but the diversity of flavors in that meal was nothing short of amazing ! And then topping it off with tiramisu flambe, what an experience. Only problem is the standard is now set, I dont know that Ill ever find another meal so perfect. Truly wonderful !

We were in the area for a planned visit, and decided to try this restaurant as we are fans of good Italian food. Of course it is a matter of personal taste, but we have been to some places that just are not good, but having said that, this restaurant was very good. The Bruschetta was presented on a plank along with olives, buffalo mozzarella, and was delicious. The three of us all had different items, one being chicken piccata, one being a pasta with marinara, and I had the Braciole Pasta like an Italian stew over pasta. All of the entries were excellent, looked good and tasted even better. We finished with a great Tiramisu. . The service was good, although we needed to ask for water refills. They did check on us, and were proud of their food to be sure. So the server was not at the top of the game, but I can live with that, as well as the table next to us that tried their best to include an obscenity in every other sentence, loudly no less, but that was not the restaurants fault. Im no saint, but these ladies had the record for the F words use in about an hour........Oh well. When in Rome....Or Blue Jay. Overall, the experience was good, and the food was great. We will be back to try it again to be sure. We did not expect great Italian food in a small place like this, and we were pleasantly surprised.

It was an experience. Parking was scarce. We were seated pretty quickly outside at night in the mountains. It was about 45 degrees I was in a dress. Thank goodness I wore a a zip-up warm hoodie. Our server was Patrick. He was friendly and personable and told us about how the restaurant gets their olive oil from Italy. I was told by an unnamed source that they had manicotti which they did not. They got our drinks wrong. We ordered the tortellini and lasagna. We were brought homemade bread with olive oil from Italy and red vinegar. It was okay. The place was very busy. The restaurant was a two story house with people buzzing around everywhere bringing food and drinks. After waiting for a long time we were offered carbonara which we declined because we didnt order it. Then we were given our lasagna and tortellini lukewarm. A server grated cheese on our dishes and I asked for mine to be reheated. Then we ordered the lemon cake. Patrick asked how the cake was but it had not been brought to us. He promptly went to get it. He also brought over a heater for our table. The cake had a nice citrus flavor and fresh texture with a light whipped frosting. Then we went inside to pay because I didnt want to wait outside for it. I definitely should have dressed warmer.

Very disappointment.Much kindness in hosting became in a gastronomical tragedy and expensive meal. The most famous dish, carbonara macaroni is very bad, poorly made, tasteless and served cold, for $44 and the price is not on the menu. 2 hours to get our food, hungry kids and a bad experience at Lake Arrowhead. Maybe if you go with less people, could be better but I wont be back and I dont recommend it.
