Domingo's Mexican & Seafood Restaurant

I order chili rellenos everywhere I go to compare with my favorite here at Domingo's 😊 This place has always been my favorite for YEARS, and then it closed when the owner retired several years ago...BUT IT'S OPEN AGAIN!

I'm so glad! Even though it's under new management/owners the past few years, the rellenos are just as I remembered them! Delicious, tender pepper full of cheese, perfectly fried batter, great sauce. The chicken enchilada was packed full with plenty of meat. This little restaurant is like a mirage here on the edge of the Mojave desert...out in "no where" but we pass by to and from our travel to Palm Springs for vacation (avoiding L.A. traffic) and make a point to stop for lunch. I'm so glad these new owners are doing a great job..lots of great reviews 🙂. There were lots of people eating there yet service was quick and very friendly. Try it!

Nice Mexican restaurant in town with friendly service and good food. I ordered the 2 item combo with cheese enchiladas and a salad. Chips and salsa were included. The salsa had good flavor with chunks of tomato and onion. The enchilada sauce was also good and the beans and rice were flavorful and went well with the meal. There was a large party outside with music and everyone was having a great time. I was surprised that inside the restaurant I could barely hear the music from the outside party thanks to what must be a well designed and insulated building. Overall I really enjoyed the restaurant. Thank you for having this wonderful place in town. I can tell it's the go-to place for the community!

I forget how many times I've updated this NOW. they could only be better if they delivered ... google lies and say that they do, but they don't. it's not Migo's fault💋💋 If you want a romantic date night this is the restaurant to go to!!! Yes yes they’re finally open! update 8 19 2019 they’re finally open again!!! More to come.... finally went in!!! Nice LITTLE place! Margaritas got a nice kick! Fiesta!!! Ohhhh Fernando’oh. .... I would give him five stars if he would stay open!! I went back today September 18, 2019 I had the crab (and that’s real crab!)enchiladas and they were awesome ...better than I thought they would be ...since I never had them before and I love crab! Try the patio!! I keep going BACK!!! 11/6/19!! If I edit it every time I ate there this page would be so long. So they ARE OPEN AGAIN! 4/30/21!! Please stay that way!!! MINGO? U heAr me ? We have been wanting to try this place for a long time and it just hadn’t worked out until today. From now on, we are going to make sure it works out! The food is excellent: my husband had chile Colorado which was delicious and I had fish. At my request they prepared the red snapper with the onion, tomato, and mushroom topping they do for their “grilled fish” (tilapia). It was SO good! The astronaut/AFB connection is a cool aspect of this little hidden gem in the desert. We will be back!

Domingo's is a really good Mexican restaurant in Boran, California. Always stop there on the way to or from Apple 🍎 Valley, Bakersfield, Barstow, Las Vegas. They have really good food and the service is excellent 👌.

My husband is still talking about the al pastor tacos he had He loved it!! My chile rellano was delicious. Service was good as were the complementary chips. The salsa was yummy chunky. A great place to eat.

Don’t hesitate people, make it about a mile south from highway 58 on exit 199in Boron CA, you’ll find it on your left side. People are super friendly, food is simply amazing, we are family of tree and we do recommend this place.

Stay away from here if you have a dairy allergy. They grease the grill with butter rendering all food unsafe for patrons with such a common allergy. Of course, you would only know this if you specifically asked. So don't assume anything is safe if you have allergies.

Why go to Carl’s Jr. when great food, outdoor seating and friendly staff are literally 1 minute away?
Excellent salsa and chips started our meal, with shrimp fajitas and another shrimp dish with onion white sauce and rice and beans. Support local owners with a memorably good meal near the Museum.

Excellent in every aspect. Service, quality of the food, ambience and seating comfort. Apparently this is New Management and they only recently opened. I had the shrimp fajitas which were one of the best I've ever had and I order fajitas all the time. The shrimp we're not those small little mushy ones. Larger, perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. They were served in a sizzling platter over a candle which was a nice touch. If you are anywhere near Boron California I would strongly recommend you go directly to Domingo's!

I had the meatball soup appetizer and wish I had gotten the full bowl. I had the Chili Verde entre and the pork was very tender and flavorful. Obviously homemade tortillas, both corn and flour. Very authentic and delicious.

I've been a huge fan of Domingo's for years, since astronauts used to dine here. While it may have lost a little of it's touch after being closed and reopening several times, it's still great to have good Mexican dining in Boron, especially from Domingo. He's great!

When we are exploring the high desert for prospecting areas, we try to stop here for lunch. Very surprising for the little town of Boron. Great food, cold beer and great service. If you want to eat where the shuttle and test pilots eat, stop here. Great photos and other items from Edwards. There is a train that runs along the top of the walls in there also. We really like this place and the staff.

Awesome place in the middle on nowhere.
We discover it with Google.
The food is amazing . Everything I tried tasted delicious; Chips, Beans, Carnitas where wow!!, Chile colorado Beef, Ceviche Tostada and even the fresh flour tortillas where great.
Nothing disappointed me, I was not expecting this bomb of flavors and portions.
Staff was friendly and accommodating.

I will definitely look forward to come back to Domingo's If I am passing thru the 58 Highway.

Not the best. Drinks were ok, service was prompt but the togo food order came out wrong. I asked for avocado on the veggie burrito and it came on top instead of inside?🤔 also asked for cheese to be added. Didn't get any. I suggest eating in.

Domingos is the best food in the desert. Always authentic and constantly delicious. I have a hard time trying to figure out what to order because the food is all so good! The owner is probably the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Stop in and give this place a try you will be throughly impressed.
