Yesterday was my first time here and I ordered the beef ribs and it was really good. There was a lot of meat and it wasn't too sweet. It was really soft. And the biscuits... . I've tried biscuits from many places but these are the best!! I visited the Brea branch. I want to compliment them all!!

Horrible experience. Will not go back. The issue was our Louisiana Ribs were grossly undercooked and could not be eaten . The sides were fine. When I told the waitress she took the ribs to the manager. I would have been fine with them bringing us a a new cooked rack but the RUDE manager came to the table stating the ribs were taken off ($37.00!!!) but the sides are being charged and walked away. No apology no how can we make this right. I wasn’t asking for a refund!!!! So very disappointed. Do better Lucilles. You charge too much to be served bad food and bad attitude!!

The food, service and atmosphere is really good and at a reasonable price. This is my third time eating at Lucille’s and each time has been consistently good. We all have our favorite BBQ place; however, Lucille’s offers very good BBQ with lots of menu options, a large bar and a facility that can accommodate small to large groups.

I've visited here for Saturday dinner and it was a perfect experience. I was there at 7:30pm and waited for about 15 to 20 min, but there was many seats in the front yard. I loved the biscuits and apple butter which is refillable. All menus we had were reasonable and delicious, but my favorite were beef ribs for a meat, and BBQ beans for a side.
And I'd like to emphasize, our server Alexis was super, super friendly and nice. I can say he was the best server I've ever met in USA for last 1 year. He really made my family's day!

It just isn't like it used to be! I came here for my mom's bday with my 2 sisters, my niece and daughter. Let me tell you the food, isn't like it used to be. Idk if it was bcuz it was lunch time but I remember the ribs being a lot bigger and better than what was on my plate. They were the smallest meatless little ribs I've ever seen and they weren't even baby back ribs. I hate to see how those would have looked. The chicken was on a bone, which it didn't say that on the menu and it was pretty much all bone. The waitress was rude and not friendly at all. My sister ordered a margarita drink called Orange Dream. It had no flavor at all and it wasn't very good so she asked if they could either put more of the orange flavor and the waitress told us that, that drink is already premade and can't make a different one. My sister said well it has no flavor and the waitress said "well I didn't make it"..... Wow! She didn't apologize and didn't ask if she wanted something else. We had to ask her if she could order a different drink. She seemed annoyed with that request. So that set the tone for the whole lunch. Nobody was really happy with their food and we all remember it being a lot better. So after we left, my mom had accidentally forgotten one of her gifts at the table so we called to see if it was still there and they said it wasn't there. The table we were seated at was kind of by itself. There weren't any other tables around it. It was by a big window and there was only one way to get in and out, you had to walk up 2 steps.. it was like it's own little nook area, so there was nobody else around and nobody else could have taken my mom's gift except the waitress or the person who cleans up and if they didn't then it still would have been there. I'm pretty sure the waitress took it. There was no way any other customers could have taken it. Ugh! The audacity.

I originally really liked Lucille's BBQ baby back ribs but here at Lucille's the food and service are really bad. I will never go there again.

The host requested a table for buffet for the group. The team there adapted and made it happen. We drove out from the Inland Empire for this gathering, and Lucille's team did not disappoint! High 5's all around, and thank you for making such a memorable event for my friends.

This place has really gone downhill over the years. At first I had thought that the gift cards from Costco were such a great deal when in reality Lucille’s is skimping the customer really badly.

A whole rack of ribs contains about a quarter pound of meat total, and that might be being generous. I’m not sure where Lucille’s gets their pork from, but it sounds unethical.

Service is hit or miss as well where you can have an attentive server or someone who doesn’t care.

SUGAR IN EVERYTHING.
I recognize people would want to turn a blind eye to this (or may not care at all), but we should. This is our health. Upon investigation, my wife and I found out that only two teaspoons of original sauce have 16 grams of sugar. We then reflected on our meals and realized that the sauce was lathered over EVERYTHING. We looked up the nutritional facts for one of our orders (half chicken with beans) and the total sugar in that was about 60 grams of sugar… and this is the half chicken and beans… The daily recommended for men is 36 grams throughout the entire day, morning to night, and that’s the MAX. Again, I understand not everyone may care but this is incredibly detrimental to your overall health and it’s no wonder we felt horrible shortly after leaving. We’re not meant to eat this much sugar. It goes without saying how terrible food like this is for individuals with health conditions such as diabetes. A family member of ours who we were celebrating is monitoring his sugar and it shot through the roof after having just tri-tip, sausage, and some fries (for those who know, it went from 6 to just under 12). This put him out the next few hours on his birthday unfortunately.

The food isn't as good as it used to be. Starting with the biscuits that are still good, but not as moist as they used to be. They still have the crunchy outside.

Sides: Mashed potatoes were a little salty. Macaroni and cheese not as creamy.

The ribs I had were dry, though others had really will cooked ribs.

The pulled pork was the best part of the meal. Likely because of the juice/sauce they add to it. Otherwise it would've been dry.

The soda was too sweet, so I left it and drank water.

The atmosphere is usually great if you're looking to have conversation while you eat. It's usually pretty loud, and it suited us that day.

We met up with some friends we hadn't seen in many years and stayed 3 hours. Even though they were closing and cleaning up they told us to take our time and had no problems with us. When we left about 15 minutes after closing there were still a few small groups so it seems like it's normal that they don't rush people out.

Ordered the family feast to go: two full St. Louis style ribs, two halves BBQ chicken, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, collard greens, French fries, and six biscuits with maple butter.

Food was placed in a cardboard travel box that was poorly designed. The handhold was two oblong punch outs in the two long flaps held together by the short flaps. The sharp edge cut into my hand as I carried the heavy box to and from the car.

The hot food cooled pretty quickly from my 30 minutes trip home and into the house. The sides and chicken were still warm, but the ribs and pulled pork were cool.

The chicken was the family favorite! It was moist and flavorful without being overly salted. The pulled pork was next. The ribs were dry, salty, and overly done so they were the least favorite.

Biscuits were already cold so the butter didn't melt when spread. The collard greens were a bit salty for me but still good. Haven't eaten the mashed potatoes yet so can't comment. The French fries were all dark brown and tastes bitter. Not sure if they were overly fried or if the oil was old. They went into the trash barely touched.

Service was great! The host who took my order responded to my questions with courtesy and attention. The order came out correctly so he was listening. Food was packed and ready for me in about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Waiting area had a bench so I didn't have to stand while I waited. All in all, the experience was pleasant. Will visit again at a future date and am actually looking into their catering services as well.

We used to go here quite frequently before we started going to Woodranch instead. Not sure what happened with Lucille’s but it’s consistently bad for what you would expect. We just tried it again and it was horrible. Biscuits used to be fresh and fluffy, now they’re just crispy and sunken in. Barely meat on the baby back ribs and dry, mashed potatoes are sticky and taste like instant mash, not even our toddler wanted a bite of the mac n cheese. We love desert and got the peach cobbler and it was gross. The best part is actually the large mason jars with water and fresh lemon. Really disappointing and it’s surprising they are somewhat busy. Won’t be going back.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible service. First off, we waited 30 minutes to be seated. No biggie, expected since it was on a weekend. Next, they sat us in a corner and gave us water and the biscuits. I took my 2nd bite of my biscuit when one of the other waitresses apologized and stated we had to be moved right now. She apologized a few times. Then took us to the back of Lucielles and told us she would move our plates for us. That didn't happen. One of the other waitresses asked if we wanted to be moved back....that was ridiculous. We stayed where we were as my boyfriend stated no i dont want to be moving back and fourth then she gave us attitude. 10-15 minutes passed by still no silverware. They brought out our food with no silverware or plates. We were "attended" by 3 waitresses. About 10 minutes later they still didn't even bring the silverware even though she said she would. So we left and never got our biscuits or plates and silverware. NEVER coming back here !!!! Horrible and unorganized restaurant!!!

After being contacted, Lucielles gave my bf and I a voucher. Their customer service was great and we went to the location in Rosemead. It was a better atmosphere and food was delivered quickly.

Thursday night, we joined our family for dinner. Upon arrival we had difficulty getting attention from our server. I’m guessing it was busy…. We had our food and I’m not going to lie it had been quite a while since I’ve visited a Lucille’s smokehouse and in my honest opinion the food lacked flavor also I ordered a strawberry lemonade and if you’re a regular and haven’t visited in a while this lemonade would have tasted like lemonade with sliced strawberries and not their signature sweet strawberry lemonade. Overall we did not feel welcomed as our server brought out the steamed towels and to go boxes and bags when we were still eating. This was one of my worst experiences at a Lucille’s smokehouse. I recommend going to the chino hills location. They never miss making you feel like family every single time you visit!!! This is only my suggestion based on my experience here. In the future I won’t be going to this location .

Not chopped finely, big crunchy pieces makes this meal horrible. The broth is weak no seasoned the meats are not horrible....and the rice was cooked nicely. Staff and service was friendly.

St. Louis Ribs had good flavor but were so tough could barely cut with the steak knife. Wife said they were the worst ribs she has ever had. Maybe I can salvage them by throwing them in the pressure cooker.

I had the Nashville Got Chicken Sandwich. This was really disappointing- I read online that it was good. Menu reads "Extra Spicy". I got the faintest hint of spice. Chicken inside was pretty flavorless like they needed to marinate or brine it first. Definitely not worth the splurge of calories by any means! Kind of sad I wasted my calories on this.

Luckily we had a gift certificate so didn't waste my hard earned money on this subpar meal.

Made an online takeout order through Apple Pay and their website gave an incorrect billing address. Called instantly to confirm they received my order and the Manager did confirm it. Forty minutes later at the restaurant I get told my order did not go through and to make another order. I did not place a takeout order in advance only to get to the restaurant and have them take my order again.

We order 100$ food to go get home and the food was soggie. My sandwhich was all FAT and ribs where chewy. They forgot 3 sides . The fries were burnt and guacamole was old and brown. I will never eat here again. I used to love coming here however they seem more concern about how many people they can seat then caring about the food they put out.

Wow, this place has really hit the bottom. There is nothing left here from what made this place great. If your coming with the expectation of how it used to be, you are in for a big disappointment. The bbq chicken sandwich is now a silver dollar size piece of dry chicken stacked with pretty lettuce on a big bun. The cheese slice was thicker than the chicken. Ribs are still pretty good, but this trip they were dry. Food was Luke warm, the towels brought after the meal was hotter than the meal. Most seats were empty and our waiter was very friendly but even she stated she had too many tables by herself and ask us to be patient. I only saw 2 waiters, but may have been more. If you can't serve quality food and staffed enough to serve customers, you should close and go out of business instead of ruining special occasions and overcharging for it.
Lost our family business for good. This was the last time we will ever go back.

My daughter had the shrimp platter with fries and elote and I had the Callin' All Vegans bowl.

The shrimp was well seasoned and yummy. The elote wasn't seasoned aside from the cotija and very sparse butter.

The Callin' All Vegans bowl was decent. I prefer warmed vegetables, but everything was cold. Because this dish was not on the salad menu, I kinda expected something to be warm. The vegetables were all well seasoned/marinated. There is a great selection of vegetables: carrots, red onions, yellow and orange bell peppers, cauliflower, red and white cabbage, cucumber and mixed greens. I believe there was an herb like mint and/or cilantro mixed in with the greens. It was very satisfying overall and a great option for a vegan in a carnivore's haven. 😁

Bad customer service over the phone when trying to place an order. Just say you don’t want to take my order but no need to LlE about 1 order of a dozen biscuits being ordered at 1pm and it won’t be ready until 6pm. Do better.

I'm not impressed. Will not be returning. The food was bland except for the greens, had a tad bit too much vinger in them, and the corn pudding was pretty good. The baked beans were just okay. The meat has no flavor at all. The BBQ sauce I used to my own. Definitely didn't like theirs. The potions you get for the money... yeah, it's not worth it!

That's all they had. Atmosphere all cramped up in one spot, what a flop.
First, the receiver, without any sympathy, says 30 to 40 minutes and asks for my number.....waited 30 minutes to sit down inside in the back. Not even a glass of water...30 minutes more go by we had it.
Very disappointing that they weren't always bad. Someone needs to own it.

Went there at lunch time and ordered to go. Got there at 12:30pm. Lunch time. Walked up to the take out table. Got a menu and turned to the lunch menu. Placed an order and the guy puts in a dinner menu order. Dinner menu prices are nearly double lunch prices. You get more food with dinner orders.

But, again, I’m there during lunchtime. Why would I be charged dinner prices? Why didn’t the guy ask would you like the lunch menu or the dinner menu? I happened to open the menu to the lunch menu page. I didn’t bother looking at other pages on the menu. Until he told me my total!

Then it took forever to change the order. Then he messed up the sides. Wanted mashed potatoes but got veggies. What are you gonna find out until I got to my friend’s house. The other parts of the order was correct.

Ordering take out, at lunch from the lunch menu should not take 25 to 30 minutes! Better training by Lucille’s is needed. Ask if customers want lunch or dinner menus! The guy was either new, or trying to upsell, which is terrible! Won’t go back!

First & foremost, I want to thank our server Jesse, who was away from his family to serve a great meal on Thanksgiving Day. He was very nice, always checked back to see if we needed anything. He was very pleasant!
Our evening there didn’t quite start off well though.
The young man checking people in, who had reservations, was a very angry person. He yelled peoples names in an angry tone, when there table was ready. He spoke to the servers in an angry/mean tone. He was extremely rude to customers checking in as well.

Lucille’s was extremely busy and seemed quite behind. We waited 45 minutes to be seated, though we had a reservation. We took it in stride because we know how hectic it was inside the restaurant! I was in the restaurant business, so I know how it works. We are very patient people, so we understood the hectic Thanksgiving day.

The last straw for me was when he got very angry and threw several menus on the ground behind him. Very unprofessional to the point of unacceptable behavior. He is the first person people see and go to, when they walk into the restaurant or check the wait time for their reservation. He was not representing Lucille’s in a professional manner!! He would yell angrily into a headset to the people cleaning tables.
His behavior was so shocking, I asked to see a Manager. I told her I thought her employee needed a break to calm down & collect his thought. She said she would give him a break but never did.

Close to the end of our 45 minute wait, he dropped 2 ‘F’ bombs. Several people heard him loud & clear! Stranges waiting in the lobby looked at each other & shrugged their shoulders in disbelief! He didn’t seem to care about anyone or anything. It was shameful.

There were several servers who went up to him asking questions and he got very angry and was quite rude to them as well.

This is not the type of behavior I would have EVER expected from a Lucille’s employee! Co-workers around him heard it all. This employee gives Lucille’s a bad name!

When we ate & left an hour later, he was still at the front desk complaining about patrons, it that they were not answering the page, complaining that people kept coming up to ask about their reservation, etc.

Our reservation was at 6:30pm. We got seated at 7:15pm. Finished our great dinner and left at 8:20pm. You might want to speak with servers & other employees about his behavior. I must say, I was embarrassed for them.

Going back to our server, Jesse is an exceptional server. Very attentive, concerned for his tables and very professional. Seems to enjoy what he does, serving other and making it a pleasant experience. Thank you Jesse, for making our Thanksgiving meal an enjoyable one. And thank you for taking time away from your family on this Thanksgiving day, to be a part of our Lucille’s experience for the 5 straight year.

I ordered pick up thru DoorDash. It was just the biscuits. It took them 45 mins to give them to me. Plus the girl at the front desk was greeting the short one with glasses I think and curly hair. She was so rude and useless. She said she couldn’t help me check on my order because she doesn’t do take out orders. My daughter went yesterday for dinner and the same girl was there and she was rude to her as well. Won’t be coming back here.

Hostess that greeted us told us right off that no Thanksgiving orders and no room to come on Thanksgiving Day because all booked up and if we did come then we would have to wait a long time. We weren’t even here to order Thanksgiving dinner. I told her we wanted to order dinner to go for this night and she told me to get a menu at the end of the counter. Not very pleasant.

We went about 2 weeks ago. We love going to Lucille's but DO NOT SIT IN THE INDOOR PATIO AREA! This was the first time we were ever seated in the enclosed patio area and every light in there is flickering!!! Like seizure triggering flickering!!! We asked the waiter about it and he said they have told management and they have done nothing about it! We were nauseous the entire time and all had headaches afterwards! We should have changed tables, but it was a busy Saturday evening so there was limited seating.

I had Gift Card and decided to get a mid week meal. I ordered fried okra, loaded Mac n cheese and Brisket. I was highly disappointed in all 3. No flavor on the Okra. I ordered the loaded Mac n Cheese and wasn’t loaded with anything. The Brisket had no taste and seemed old and dry. I should have taken the employees advice and went the Prime Rib. It’s been about 3 years since I’ve been at a Lucille’s thankful I had a Gift Card or would have really really disappointed. The employees at the entrance are sitting in chairs with their head down and on their phones. When that door opens stand up and greet your guest. Ijs

My Kids had my 70th Bday here today . Service was poor cause my kids and grandkids couldn’t get refills. No forks for the cake. My email says I get a free slice of cake but the Mg gave me what he wanted. Our drinks where water down someone needs to train them on how to make drinks. In my 70 years worse mix drinks I ever had. They should learn from Outback , Chilis or other Lucille’s . West Covina is 4 minutes from me but decided to go to Bea so they wouldn’t all drive to far . I always go to West Covina should have gone there I was very unhappy with service and the Mg at this time picking what he wanted to give me and not let me have my ice cream he wanted I get the Banana pudding which I didn’t take. They should’ve sent out emails giving you your choice but let Mg pick. I know now will tell me kids for Fathers Day and Bday go to West Covina where DRINKS AND SERVICE MUCH BETTER. Food was good Thank you Cooks
