I don’t think you should charge me $.54 for a little cup of salsa after I spent $16 on one single hangover burrito and left you guys a $3 tip.

That’s bad business/service. It’s always the younger guy at the counter who tries to charge for everything; the old guy is always cool about it.

Found this while looking for some dinner in the area. There were some negatives (they didn't have fried zucchini and the soda machine wasn't working right), but the server was super friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. The presentation was unexpected, very nice for a counter-service restaurant. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

The Chilaquiles and Chile Relleno Burrito are delicious. The cashier was very informative and nice. They have great specials. On Mondays you can buy any breakfast burrito and it comes with a free drink if I remember correctly. I would definitely come back here again to try something else.

This place is a hidden gem for sure.

We saw the sign out on the landscaping on our way to the mall, and decided to stop by this unassuming place. Glad we did. Totally different inside.

Decorated nicely, covered in quotes with a sense of humor. But that's not all, the staff is stupendously friendly. Felt welcomed immediately. The man who took our order (who I assume to be the owner/co-owner) was quite helpful in explaining the menu, and recommending the popular items.

I settled on a burger. Gotta say, some places try too much with burgers.nthis place has all the ingredients without trying to tell you it's good. It lets the flavor do the talking. And it's delicious. Also tried some French toast and they were just as good.

We already made plans to come back to try other menu items. Only complaint for me is the short business hours on weekends, but that is not they fault. Being in a primarily industrial zone, it makes sense their hours align with the work schedules of the surrounding area.

My breakfast burrito was sadly not really good. I had high hopes based on the reviews, maybe they were too busy? Potatos were under cooked, not peeled, contained the dark spots from the potato where it's supposed to be cut out typically. The burrito lacked flavor, seasonings etc. There was decent amount of bacon inside which was nice. Was smaller than the other photos. Also the green salsa is alright, The other salsa they had, had great spice too it and had a well rounded flavor it just needed a dash of salt!

Definitely going to try out other food they have! I'm sure it was just the circumstances that made my burrito not great. But I have faith!!

If you are looking for good a tacos place,,, this is the Spot! You must try their taco flight. We really liked the street tacos. They have fresh salsa, garnished with cilantro, onions, radish, and fresh lime wedges. Great service, spoke to the owners wife she was really friendly, she gave me free refill jamaica drink. Parking: Plenty of parking.

It was very nice to walk into a small Cafe where they greet you and make small talk. The best part was that the food was amazing. We will definitely be making this one cafe that we will visit regularly..... Well we are hooked. I cant get enough of the chilaquiles burritos. OMG!

First time eating at this restaurant & I m extremely disappointed, I ordered the TJ breakfast burrito & it s supposed to have onion, tomato & peppers & it didn t have any at all. That s the only reason why I ordered it but it only had cheese, potatoes, eggs & bacon. The portion was good but tasted very plain because it didn t have tomato, onion & peppers.

I dont live in the area, I was just visiting and this place came up when googling breakfast burritos. One of the best burritos Ive ever had and the staff was really cool. I would absolutely recommend this place all day every day. Vegetarian options: There arent too many vegetarian options but my friend loved the one she got. Parking: The parking lot is small but the food is worth looking for parking.

For a little hole in the wall, this place is great! First visit for lunch since aive heard its good and it did not disappoint (even by my very finiky chef husband). Ordered the pulled pork sandwich on a brioche bun with fries. Generous portion & tasty. Hubby got the bbq burger (bacon, cheese & onion ring). Will Def be back!

Fat Guy Approved!!! This is hands down the best breakfast burrito I have found in the area. As someone with serious dietary restrictions my one vice is breakfast burritos. If they are on the menu i order them everytime. Basic eggs potatoes meat of choice. Its not that they are doing dumb stuff like throwing fries or cheetos in it its just the quality that makes it so good. Never a burnt egg. The eggs are always perfect soft and delicately fluffy. Potatoes are soft but still hold their shape. (Think house fries) with some light seasoning.. then we get to the salsa. Salsa Verde is delicious. Fresh made with the right amount of heat and the right spritz of garlic. There spicy salsa is a leathermouths dream. A good amount of heat with an absolute ton of flavor. I have to say this is my new breakfast burrito spot and yes I will drive some 35 miles for a breakfast burrito.

Soo good I will be back. I found it on google. I took my motorcycle to SoCal Motorcycles for some work. I got it out and said lets go have lunch. TJs is 1 1/2 blocks up the street. Small place. Nice and clean. Great service. That always impresses me. When the food arrived I was so pleased visually. Next the yes he was incredible. Very nice folks. I thanked them before I walked out. Told them I will be back. My son enjoyed the carne asada fries. I had the Pastrami sandwich. Soo good! Gotta try them! See you there

Comfort food with a capital C. If youre in the mood for a sandwich, burger or burrito you wont be disappointed. They even do breakfast all day. Owners are really friendly and the establishment, while small, is usually clean and has seats available even at lunchtime. Just a word of warning: while the food is fantastic, it is definitely on the indulgent end of the spectrum. You wont leave TJs with an empty stomach!

New owner, new menu, remodeled dining room, new much better food and service. Superb food taste. Now one of my favorites place to visit, I am glad is in my town, if you come here and eat you will not be disappointed. UPDATE: 3/31/2022 I gave it a 4 star only because music is too loud, you cannot hear yourself talk. it reminds me more of a bar than a restaurant. I am always annoyed with the loud noise when I eat inside.

Wow, really great food!!! Ill definitely be coming back. Theyre new, so I want to cut them some slack.The kitchen is open to the service area, which is hip, but hot. Wish the a/c had been turned on sooner. They kept the front door open, which let in the warm noon air. You have to place your order at the kitchen, but theyll deliver to your table. Update: they heard me, and fixed the a/c issue.

TJs is my favorite place to eat in Brea! Ive become a regular since first trying TJs last summer, and they have never disappointed me when it comes to food and service. In fact, theyve become my go-to spot for American or Mexican food in the area. The Interior: The inside is kept extremely clean, including the bathrooms. I love the funny quotes they have on the walls throughout the restaurant. They also have multiple TVs playing to keep you occupied as you wait for the food. The Menu: I liked everything Ive had at TJs so far. Some of my notable favorites are the Avocado Bacon Omelette and Breakfast Burritos. Jesus and his staff do not skimp on the portions. While a lot of places put a lot of potato as filler, TJs Breakfast Burritos are PACKED evenly with eggs, meat, potato, and cheese. Ive also had most of the hot sandwiches, burgers, and Mexican food at this point, and they are all tasty and satisfying. My go-tos include: Cable Car, California Burrito, Chile Relleno Burrito, Carne Nachos/Fries, and Fajitas. Just like their breakfasts, their lunch and dinner options are delicious and come in generous portions. I also have to note that their micheladas are very tasty! While the red is my favorite, the green/cucumber michelada is really refreshing and a nice break from the typical tomato-based micheladas that exist. This place is a true family-run establishment, and the owners, Jesus and Angie, put so much care into their food and customers! They make it hard to want to go anywhere else!

TJs Cafe. open under new family owners for the past 10 months. the wife and i visited there for breakfast and i went again for lunch a few days later. they serve delicious breakfast all day long. i had Chilaquiles (yummy) and my wife had a bacon breakfast burrito. the burrito was big with lots of egg/cheese/bacon and some homestyle potatoes. many places put too much potato-i think used as filler- in their burrito, but not TJs. a few days later i went for lunch and had their Pastrami Melt and fries and Chicken Tortilla Soup. all the food is delicious and fresh. TJs is a family run restraunt. Jesus & his wife Angelica are friendly and give great customer service and food. their mom & dad help out as well. if you are in the brea area you should stop by and experience TJs Cafe.

Very good food ! Weve been there twice & enjoyed both meals. There breakfasts look great so hopefully we can try them soon.

I was in town for a day with meeting at local business and needed a pace for lunch. TJ s was a delightful convenience! Had the pastrami sandwich and fries and both were top notch. Angela was so great taking care of me and the staff were respectful, friendly and hard working. Definitely recommend. And if you work around here, keep them in business you re lucky to have them.

Excellent hideaway takeout or dine in restaurant on west Lambert Road. Greta food,good portions. A friendly family owned restaurant with really good fries., great philly cheese steak or philly chicken sandwiches and great home made mexican fare at a very reasonable price! Very comfortable seating with a couple of big screen TV to watch the game, have an on tap beer and eat some comfort food!

Food was amazing and very satisfying. Just Delicious. There is a wide variety of food choices with affordable prices. Service was very good and the restaurant was clean, will definitely be coming back.

The new owners (including a cook who worked for the prior owner) have created a refreshed menu, and a welcoming new look. Completely ignore any old reviews, this is 100% new. I had a pastrami melt sandwich that was perfectly toasted, and more of my husbands fries than I intended. He said his BBQ burger compared favorably to any of his favorites around town. We look forward to going back, so I hope this place becomes a favorite of the local lunch crowd. Theyre open 8a to 8p, and breakfast items are available all day.
