Homey outpost serving a hearty breakfast, plus other diner fare such as sandwiches & burgers.
It’s what a small town Diner should be.
Had to run errands at the Brea Mall and knew I’d be there before 10am. Kimmie’s for the bill. Small and unassuming, Less than 15 tables although I didn’t see the back room.
As usual I’m at the counter solo. Nothing more powerful than a waitress who has full control. My waitress had counter, to go, back room and managed everything. Took my order quickly and moved on to the next order. Breakfast was full but not at all stressed.
My ham cheese and avocado omelette was super fresh, no brown and flavorful. Hash browns crispy, toasted white bread and great quality. Thumbs up to friendly service with efficiency.
Followed up my omelette for the short stack combo with sausage. Although even busier on a sat morning, the place was humming. Appreciate the efficiency, even though my pancakes came out a little longer than expected, she was apologetic. Excellent large sized sausage with warm pancakes. Note the pancakes come with a sugar coating that was unexpected. She quickly turned it around and they were great.

This is our first time visiting this place as we make our way to Coyote Hills golf course. It's situated in what appears to be a converted office building. It's a charming diner that serves breakfast and lunch. The waitress was friendly, and the food was quite good. We tried the ham steak and eggs, bacon and eggs, and corned beef hash and eggs, and they were all delicious, particularly the hash browns.

I tried the cinnamon French toast. They looked better in the picture. Not very cinnamon roll. Lacked flavor. The glaze tasted like they added flour instead of powdered sugar. Almost like a strange gravy. Coffee was good but not worth $4. They up charged $2 to add onion and green bell peppers to the country potatoes. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ isn’t that the whole point. I need to pay $2 to put the country into my potatoes? Pancakes were nice and big, but the flavor was just not there. Maple syrup also sucked. Idk man. Not my cup of kimmie tea.
The interior is so beautiful and clean. Restrooms are nice and clean. Staff was also very nice.

Yuuuuuummmm!!! Best eggs Benedict I’ve had at any restaurant. Their hollandaise sauce is perfect and the only place similar to how I make it homemade-no package sauce here! Went for the first time today and everything was so perfect. The staff was amazing as well and what a cute place.

Waitress took over an hour to get our sandwich and after she finally did it was wrong, avocado was old we didn’t get water & waitress assumed I wanted coffee without asking me, most of the time the waitress was working on the bill never refilling my friends coffee or got my salad till I asked, sandwich was extremely dry plus waitress didn’t give us an option on bread she picked herself.

Good service, high quality food, beautiful clean place…but, overpriced, bad sauce product and poor management of a hard object in food. Eggs Benedict’s hollandaise sauce was without ANY flavor - just oil and yellow - that’s it! Most likely just artificial ingredients. Charging that price, we expected MUCH HIGHER QUALITY. Eating the 2nd 1/2 was not desired, went to the doggie. Additionally, we paid 67$ w only a 10$ tip :( 2 coffees and 2 mid ranged priced breakfasts and 1, was the most affordable option. Worst of all, an unknown hard object was in the omelet and damaged my daughter’s attached retainer. We will now go to the orthodontist for repair or replacement. We mentioned the event to the server so she could ask the cook staff if glass or ceramic was a possibility. Compensation was not offered and I didn’t ask. Sorry Kimmys, U struck out this time, in 3 ways. I can’t afford you anyway. A bad economy hurts all. Try to retain your base if the fault is on u. I’ll reach out if we need to pay for a new retainer to be attached.

Eaten at a few Kimmies and was impressed with the food and service, plus was budget friendly.
This visit was disappointing...food was adequate, service so so but was shocked at the raise in costs for the meals. Sadly we decided not to continue eating here. Wasn't worth the pricing and service.
Which by the way there was only 3 tables with patrons including us so couldn't understand the lack of service...

Neat and clean. Small coffee shop vibe. They have a half page of items with Hollandaise sauce. It was bland. And served room temp, not even warm. The gravy part of biscuits and gravy was good. The biscuit part... average tasting and again, not hot.

I ordered the eggs Benedict, I only ate half the order was waiting for someone to chk on us to ask for a to go box. She comes throws the trash on my plate at the same time she’s asks are you done haha I told her I was going to take my food home and all she said was oh sorry! Didn’t offer to make half the order give a discount. I still gave 20% tip and paid over $50 for two plates of food to but ignored and treated rudely. Total came out shy of $60!!! I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now and finally did.
Pros:
-Food was really good! I got the sausage and eggs. Service by the senior ranking lady was phenomenal.
Cons:
-Im not sure if it's inflation but it was a little pricey. The young women staff were a little stiff on their service.
Overall, I would definitely come back and try other stuff on the menu. But not too often because of the price.

I have pass the Kimmies Fullerton location many years and was excited to one day visit, so when my friends suggested we go to the Brea location after our bible study I was excited. The place was really cute.I asked if server was Kimmie, she stated that’s my mom.
Our First impressions may not always be the best. It was not for me.
We got there about 12pm 4/8/2022 Friday afternoon they close at 2pm, We sat down, Carissa K (Kimmie’s daughter) was the only server there and she was moving very fast, rushing, in all she did, it took her awhile to acknowledge the 4 of us as she served others. There was about 20 customers there, she finally took our order, customer service was not great, no apology for the wait, I asked if she could slow down alittle, her rushing appeared to be abrupt and alittle rude, she came back asking who ordered chicken salad sandwich? my friend stated me, Carissa said, we’re out! Instead of, I’m sorry we’re out, but we have whatever instead … my friend had to ask her what they had instead, information was not volunteered by Carissa. After a while We all got our food, she brought a drink we never ordered and she was a little upset when we said we didn’t order it. , we asked for straws for our water she somewhat threw them on the table.
Our food came, the 3 of them got sandwiches but I got the French toast rolled in oats & pecans, there was so much oats on both sides of toast it was so hard, like eating rocks, it was so thick you really couldn’t taste the bread, very hard to eat, some may love it but I thought it was awful, and I had asked if I could get a combo since there was a pancake combo, she said sure, but she never stated there would be additional charges until I got the bill, I thought it was the turkey meat requested she said no it’s the combo. I asked why I was not made aware of different charges when ordered, she had no answer. The eggs were half cooked I couldn’t eat them so I sent them back.
Carissa’s Customer service was the worst I have ever experienced and French toast I ordered was even worst.
I will try again but visit the Fullerton location instead hoping to meet the mom Kimmie, knowing her service should be so much better than her daughter’s Carissa at the Brea location.
I’m sure I ordered a bad dish, the other food may be wonderful but no excuse ever for poor customer service.

Always been a big fan until last time I had breakfast there a few weeks ago. Cold food. Eggs were done wrong, sent back came back correct but also cold. My entire plate was taken away with the first batch of eggs and sat on the pickup counter . Eggs were dropped on plate of cold food. So I got to watch my husband eat while I waited for my cold meal to come back colder. Also, I realize that restaurants are hurting and need to raise prices, but $3 more for the same basic breakfast as before is ridiculous! Really bummed.

TLDR: Long time Orange Circle customer had a terrible takeout service experience and won't be back.
I've eaten at the Orange Circle location numerous times, and had high hopes for the north OC branch. Ordered takeout from the web site, prepaid a 20% tip (support the service personnel!), and went to pick it up. It wasn't clear where I was supposed to go inside the restaurant, so I tried to get someone's attention, but was ignored. No one even asked me if I wanted to be seated or added to a waiting list for a table. I looked around and saw what might be a bagged to-go order at a counter, so walked around to it. The two people there ignored me, wiping down counters and handling other side work. After a few minutes of this, I had to directly speak to someone and announce that I thought the bag was my online order, giving my name. She looked at the bag and handed it over, barely acknowledging me. When I got back to where I was eating, I realized they hadn't packed utensils.
If the issue was too many people in the restaurant for the number of employees, I blame management for not handling things correctly. Maybe it was just bad service, but either way, I'd suggest this is a place to avoid.

I asked for a refresher on my coffee and she looked at me as if I asked her for her kidney. She never brought the coffee, I had to flag down another waitress. The food isn't that good to deal with that kind of attitude. I will never return to eat there again. I highly suggest looking for a better place to have breakfast, there is plenty to choose from in the area.

First visit did not go so well. The cinnamon roll that was brought to me had been overheated in the microwave. I then waited to see if they would redeem themselves with their breakfast burrito, unfortunately that also felt reheated and overheated in the microwave. It lacked taste, I left most of it on the plate. I could tell the lady who served us did not want to be there. This is a review for the owner. This was a Sunday, which if not mistaken, should be your best day of service. The only reason I gave it two stars is because their French Toast were actually decent.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this breakfast spot. My French toast was a bit flavorless and it was extremely hard. Its not what I am used to. The sausage links and sausage patty was good just a bit salty and the patty was a bit dry. The gravy for the brisket was okay but it had a ton of pepper.
*Update: I went again yesterday for a late breakfast and I was not disappointed one bit. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the Huevos Ranchero and he enjoyed his meal too. My only complaint about the Eggs Benedict is that the English muffin needs to be toasted a bit more, but it is definitely something worth ordering again.
Overall this is a very cute breakfast spot. It looks to be a small family run business and the waitress that served us yesterday is part of the family, and I believe her daughter was working the previous day too. The waitresses from both visits overall were very attentive and fast. I think we will be returning again possibly soon.
I also think the portions are decent for the price.
