Panera Bread

This probably is one of the worst takeout service I had considering the cost of the food. I ordered a Southwest chicken salad to go which cost $16. They were out of ranch dressing if one can believe. On top of that they gave me the salad without chicken. :) Luckily, I checked on my way back to my car.

I am not particular about serving size usually but the size of this salad was smaller than a side serving. On top of that I am not sure about hygiene of this place given the mops in the kitchen that I could see. A part of me thinks it might be better throw this salad in trash and get something else. That bad!

The problem is NOT the food. The workers are friendly, however, it shouldn’t take 15 minutes to get a soup and bread bowl ready for take out. The service process is incredibly slow; very inefficient sadly. When the lines are long, either inside or the drive thru, one back another time is the best advice.

First ever Panera order, service was nice, but no pride in food preparation, very dry and for $13.00 not good. Update tried them again, 32 minutes in drive through, did not start order till I got to window, looked inside saw lots of employees, no napkins in bag, nonchalant air about them. Sandwich very dry and not much on it, when the american cheese over powers the buffalo flavor, hmm, thought it was a cheese sandwich with a smidge of chicken. Not worth it.

This location store hours states it opens at 6AM. On three separate occasions I pull up to the drive through at 6AM and the cones are out meaning the drive thru is closed. Very frustrating. If the drive thru has separate hours, update the hours!!!!

The worst experience ever and handled by manager tonight. She was at the drive through and said her name is Lark or Laurie and she was supposedly a manager. And this is the kicker they do not accept $100 bills but the order was $65. The owners need to be aware at how silly that sounds and how they lost business because of that.

Expensive hospital cafeteria food. Waited a while at the drive thru. No “we’ll be right with you” or anything. First thing I asked for the person immediately said “we don’t serve that anymore” lol that’s it. Ok. So why is it still on the menu. And advertised largely 🙄 anyway, settled for soup I guess since I’m already here and waited this long.

There is a reason for the low scores folks. I don't usually write these kinds for reviews but this one needs to be noted.

My family and I sat down and waited for our order. Given that it was only a shake, coffee, and a regular drink. I was perplexed why it was taking so long. After 15 min of waiting a server or worker approached us while we were sitting on one of the seats and told us that they have a limit to sit inside. WHAT IN THE WORLD?

I have been a loyal Panera Bread customer and subscriber forever and have been going to Panera Bread for years. I've never heard of any rule nor has anyone ever tried to kick me out...even while studying. I told her we were waiting for our drinks and have not been called yet.

Her reply was, "Oh ok. You ordered something?" I said yes. And she didn't even try to help us if it was ready. She walked away so I walked to the counter and had to ask.

That is why this place is getting low scores. For the record, we were all coming back from church and decided to just grab some refreshing drinks.

I'll be going back to my favorite branch in Eastvale!!! I don't think I will go to this location again.

Very poor service the restaurant was not clean at all a lot of dirty tables and employee standing behind the bar area talking. The Ladies restroom was filthy And it needs to be updated badly.
The person that took our order seemed very confused and kept asking questions over and over. He also did not provide us with a buzzer to get our order so we were waiting for about 20 minutes when we finally went up and asked about our order which was sitting there. Food ok But has gone downhill lately. I had the pick two had a tuna sandwich on sourdough tuna was OK but it was loaded with lettuce and a tomato that was bad. Had the Cobb salad lettuce was very wilted and very little toppings on it. Was a total waste for almost $21 which included a drink, I will never go there again

I can't understand how this place is still in business. Ive probably been here a half dozen times in my life and without fail they have been out of something on the menu every single time. This time it was the corn chowder, at NOON they were already out of it for the day... it's nuts! To top it off, its crazy expensive, $50 for my wife and I to have a 1/2 sandwich amd soup combo each... WTH?

I remember when I worked at Panera there was a huge emphasis on cleanliness, speed of service and professionalism. When I arrived at the store, I ordered on the kiosk and they were dirty. There was filth on the screens. After ordering, I sit down and notice an unkept dinning room. All the tables either had crumbs or sauce or some kind of residue on them. There was a mess at the drink station, a bubbler was leaking. As I wait for my food, which took a long time considering how many orders they had on their screen. The older lady that seems to be the manager or shift supervisor is really loud having a personal conversation with an or the employees. The proximity of the line and the dining room is close, instead of lowering her voice she was talking like she had a megaphone to her mouth. I was surprised that Panera or this location no longer takes the food to your table. When I worked there we took food to the tables and picked up after customers. The service keeps declining and declining. Next thing we are going to have to go back there and make our own sandwich. When I received my order it was poorly put together. There was soup on the side of the bowl. Crumbs all over the napkin, the napkin was wet. The portion sizes have gotten smaller when they were already small to begin with. Overall the place needs some improvement with cleanliness and customer service.

Close to the highway in the Brea shopping center. This is one of those few Panera bread stores that's open till 10 pm which is really helpful to grab a bite late in the night.. Plenty of parking.

Bad service, rude college girl with no personality. They don't keep a sign for pick-ups that your order is behind the counter. So after waiting for 15 mins (after my pick up time) I go ask and it's been sitting behind the counter this whole time. I get people steal food but maybe put a sign on the rapid pick up station. Common sense.

The food is usually good but I noticed lately that the sandwiches are getting smaller and less meat on them. I got a half sandwich and soup today and the sandwich was tiny like bite sized. I will be double checking my orders before I walk out for now on. I guess they must be cutting back now that the workers have a minimum wage of $20.

It's not so bad that I waited 35mins before they discovered they had lost my order but it was there dismissive attitude from store manager & and lacked of desire to help expedite the righting of the situation. In the end I ate cold soup and a sandwich I would give 1.5 out of 5 stars.🌟

Often gets my order wrong. Always kind and fixes it, but no changes have been made.
Editing and changing to a one star. I order soup and bread bowls. You don’t even have to make anything to prepare my order and yet it still took almost 30 minutes!!! Still no better. 😢

The service was very poor! I ordered 12 bagels for Tuesday and selected the flavors I wanted. However, when I went to pick up my order, I was informed that the flavors I wanted were already sold out (even though the email said I could pick up my order, but at the store, they told me to choose from the leftovers). Never happened in other location. In the end, I could only choose 6 sesame-flavored bagels and 6 plant bagels!!!! This store is so bad! frustrated

I usually go to the Panera bread in Fullerton but decided to give a shot to one in Brea. I walked in and there were two people behind the counter and third person on the right side prepping food. Even though I was standing right by the register, they completely ignored me even after they made eye contact. Maybe after a min of waiting, someone from the back came and took my order. The element of costumer service was definitely lacking. I know, they don’t get paid enough In such positions but that doesn’t translate to them ignoring regular costumers

I rarely post the reviews because I am easy eating and rarely complain about food but it was so bad. I came with friends for lunch at the Panera Bread and was so disappointed. The noodles soup was salty and really not worth for that price. She also got the Turkey sandwich and was bad also… very regretted, never come back

Just came to fulfill my soup craving. Today is a Sunday, yet a certain employee Malik blew my breath away with the care and love showed to every customer including myself. Not sure if I've spelt his name right but he is doing a terrific job as are the rest of the employees. The best panera bread I've ever been to. Thanks Malik and the rest of the team. Great job.

Dan the manager is a very outstanding and friendly manager. Doordash messed up my order and when I called, Dan was extremely understanding and offered to make my meal again and threw in some other items as well for the hassle. Really appreciate you Dan!

just purchased a bagel and it was burnt! Come on, you see the bagel all burnt and you still hand it out! Last time i go to Panera! There are better places near by that will not sell me a burnt bagel!

Repeated lack of quality. For numerous visits the soups have been sub-par, mostly broth, and otherwise lacking. While I want to believe that this is a supply problem. It is the only location I have experienced this issue. Stop selling people broth. If theres no soup, theres no soup. but do not sell people broth.

I went was in drive through ordering and specifically told them I wanted French baguette for me sides. When I got my order they gave me chips. So i told the lady in the window that I wanted the bread instead of the chips she gave me a glare took 2 minutes to break up the baguette and give it to me. Service at the facility is so freaken rude or she was being racist.

NEVER USE DRIVE THRU. We have been stuck for 35 minutes in the drive thru and still a car behind. People are yelling thru that window and they do not answer. I am even calling inside the Panera bread and no answer. We are just stuck. So as I sit and wait….figured I can write a review… 🤷🏻‍♀️🫤

18 months of wrong orders. Why do I keep coming here? I think it’s like a train wreck that I can’t look away from and I’m addicted to seeing just how they’ll mess up the order. We have a game at home where we predict what will go wrong, and someone can always bid “$1, bob” when we think something new will occur that we’ve never seen…todays problem was they sold me a charger lemonade but didn’t bother to make any…after I pointed it out, the excuse was “our delivery truck is blocking the way for us to get it made this morning.” that didn’t stop them from charging me $5.29 for it tho and offering nothing to correct it.

Order is wrong 90% of the time. Something is usually missing. Every time I point it out, the employee du jour isn’t happy to correct it. Usually says nothing, definitely never an apology. On weekends, they’re usually so far behind on orders that it will take over 30m to get the food. So yeah, avoid this place like Covid.

This location has always had subpar service compared to other local Panera’s. But it’s absurd that a “Bakery and Coffee”restaurant is not open until 7:00 AM. Unfortunately, I’ll be driving by this location and picking up large orders from a Corporate Store instead of this franchise.

Drive thru- or online or in cafe. All around Worst ever! Each online order I’ve gotten home to discover they left an item out and I have had to call them and return to pick the item up. And again just now. I got home and the items I ordered for my sick daughter were incomplete. Ridiculous

Ok ok look I'm gonna be truthful with you guys I've never eaten any other type of chili but beef.. Now that's no longer.. I've found the answer to my chili prayers Paneras Turkey Chili.. Um Um Um good. It has chic peas that I've never liked an they complement this chili so well I'm sorry about my bowl almost being empty but it was so good I forgot to review it.. Rapid pick up is not functioning properly. They keep the orders behind a COVID screen /behind the desk instead of putting them in the pick up area. They also do not call out the orders or have anyone looking for people waiting for their order. Took 15 minutes longer than the 10 minute window provided by the app. I only figured it out after hearing one of the employees ask another employee of they should keep putting the Rapid Pick up orders behind the screen.

I tried placing an order over the phone - no one would answer. Drove there and orders the soup combo for 4 and basically received a pint of soup for 20$ that was 3/4 full and some not fresh bread. Also, no spoons or napkins... mind your in addition to that, I called the store 7 times total to speak to someone and NO ONE ANSWERS, literally. It rings for 5 minutes and go on busy signal, meanwhile I was there, everyone was standing around doing NOTHING... I am so disappointed because I love Panera, however, this was by far the most lacking experience I've ever had...

I will say that every morning I go here I’m always greeted with a smile. Sometimes that’s as great as the hazelnut coffee. To be honest, it is also people like Jasmine who make every visit worth it. Remembering my usual order or just asking how I’m doing goes a long way. People like her keep me coming back

So no indoor anything, which is fine. Staff was courteous overall. Used Panera App to order prior. I was actually very surprised at how fast the order was prepared. I ordered the Chipotle sandwich for a buddy of mine and a chocolate chip oookie because he's hooked on those edibles. I also ordered the pepperoni pizza. Unfortunately, it was to my demise disappointing, to say the least. I took a bite and thought WOW this tastes familiar. It didn't take much of eating it to think of the Chef Boy Ardee spaghetti, ravioli, beefaroni, etc.... I also thought that Panera needs to change their sauce on this pizza and as well not be so stingy on the pepperoni. Not enough pepperoni, as some slices did not have 1 piece of pepperoni whatsoever. My recommendation is some kind of marina sauce or Prego; maybe even Ragu would possibly give it some kind of justice. Whomever gets to read this, please change that recipe and make it better to be able to be edible with the proper tasting ingredients.

This place is amazing people get upset because it has some struggles with customer service, but everyone was super friendly and the food and coffee are delicious I would recommend this to anyone. (They also have great vegetarian options)

One of the worst Panera bread I have ever visited. Panera Bread is my preferred restaurant as my family and I a pure vegetarian and they have good options for us. But this particular store was super disappointing. When I visited the store it was only takeout or drive through, although their website does not say so, I ordered all veg items. I ordered half Mediterranean vegetarian sandwich and half cream of tomato soup and I also confirmed that while picking but what I got was Full sandwich full of chicken, I also ordered another full Mediterranean vegetarian sandwich as another order and I got mac-n-cheese sandwich. After reaching to my hotel when opened the order, I had to simply put it in trash. I had no option but by a bread and butter from near by gas station, eat and sleep. I would never ever visit this particular location again and would never order from drive through Panera again.

I cannot believe how awful the customer service in this location, specially coming from a management employee. Andrew the manager, was the most disrespectful person in entire store. I was waiting for my order today a female employee was offering to help me when he asked who was next, I told him I was he said "literally im not talking to you" and ignored the fact that I was next. Even the employee apologized for the way he reacted. I hope he realizes that we are paying his salary and should be more appreciative of us, definitely not a good location.

Great location. Surprised I couldn't order inside at this particular Panera and then eat outside. I do understand not everyone is following mandates. I was taking my 2 year old Grandson to his first restaurant experience after pre-school (he and I were both masked). Did order via drive-thru and took home. (outside was available, yet we had already walked to the door and then got back in the car to order via drive thru). Service was slow, which rated a 4 vs 5.

Ordered was supposed to be ready for pick-up between 12:05 and 12:15...showed up at 12:15, they had no idea where my order was...gave them my name about 7 times, kept bringing up bags asking if I was that person...uh, no, name hasn't changed! Finally brought my order up at just before 1pm, and offered a larger size mac-n-cheese than what I bought...except it wasn't even the right mac-n-cheese! And the sandwich I ordered was a half steak and white cheddar cheese...two skinny slivers of steak, and remnants of cheese...I paid $10.49 for this?!?

Awful. No walk in service now as they have no staff. Limited menu. Be sure to check your order. Chances are that it is wrong.

I ordered the new napa almond sandwich and it is now a lot smaller. Last week it was still a nice sandwich. I will not order it again. I have probably bought that sandwich a hundred times. That was a bad business decision they made to shrink the size of the sandwich. It was already a little expensive, but I liked them. They are probably 30 percent smaller now.

Worst experience I’ve had with a Panera. The food we ordered came out fast and it was fine but we also ordered coffee and it was ice cold. I think every human knows that coffee is supposed to be hot and no we didn’t order cold/iced coffee. The employees were a mess and are either new or unmotivated. Will not come back and don’t recommend anyone does either. Go to another Panera or anywhere else.

The Mediterranean veggie sandwich is excellent (for vegan, order without feta) and the madagascar vanilla almondmilk cold brew is delicious! The drive thru was very fast and my order was correct. Definitely recommend!
