This is the third or fourth time we have eaten here. The food is decent, but it is always slow. It is 6:00pm, and we are waiting for our pick up order which was placed at 5:05pm and estimated to be ready at 5:19pm. It is 40 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready for pick up and we still don t have our food even though only one person is sitting in the restaurant. Will not return.

I want to apologize for taking so long to review. We have been several times. The food is wonderful and portions are very generous. I prefer chai tea with cardamom. The wait staff seem to be stretched between in house and take out orders. Otherwise, everything has been delicious every time we go.

I would like to go with 5 out of 5 for beautiful ambience, tasty food and well behaved stuff. The food was exceptional, and I especially enjoyed the fish pakora and chicken skewers both were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The non-veg entrée was also outstanding, with a great balance of spices that made every bite memorable. Additionally, I must commend their staff for their attentive and friendly service. They made sure we felt comfortable throughout our visit and were always available to assist with a smile, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

Super hot in the restaurant, sweating eating, and spicy food made this worse. The server did the old memory trick for taking our orders and forgot drinks, condiments, had to ask for sugar 3x for tea and still never got it.

Ive worked in Indian restaurants for a decade. Hands down best butter chicken and garlic naan Ive ever had. The lamb bhuna was also delicious. Oh and the bahji! I also loved seeing the manager lending a hand. I watched him bus tables, he took our plates and even brought us boxes. I appreciate service that works as a team, being in the service industry myself. Ill be back! So yummy.

1) I dont go out of my way to write reviews 2) Ive tried this place 5 times now 3) Im big on Indian and Paki cuisine SHAME on Bandu Khan - that place needs to get shut down - drive a mile more to Taal instead! Just like you immediately size up a Mexican restaurant by trying their chips and salsa, I do the same with just the white rice of an Indian place...Taals WHITE RICE ALONE slaps (if that makes sense). If that aint enough, move on to their piping hot garlic Naan, this place does not disappoint. I love every dish weve tried here (Paneer, Curry Chicken, Chicken Tika Masala, chicken Beryani to name a few). What especially stood out for us is when we told their staff over the phone that we were observing Ramadan and that we were breaking our fast in 15 minutes, their staff catered to us as if we were their own - very attentive and super friendly. If you dont like sweet, keep it safe and order the curry chicken, you wont be disappointed. Word of caution: these guys take their heat seriously so be careful HAHA. Taal, youre a credit to good eats in our lovely city of Brea. You are worthy of praise, keep up the fantastic work! Cheers! UPDATE: 6/20/24 their chicken is halal. Stellar people, Stellar service.

The food was delicious and very good. We had Biryani rice with lamb, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The dishes were savory and full of spice. We requested medium spicy and it was cooked as requested. Garlic naan was very good. Unfortunately the restaurant was not prepared for dinner on Father s Day. It looked like there were only two servers at dinner time with 5-6 table occupied. Water was refilled only when asked. Servers never came by to check our table until then. We enjoyed the dishes and hope there will be an improvement on the services Parking: Parking lot is part of the retail /restaurant plaza.

We recently revisited Taal after almost 20 years, and were happy to report that its still a gem. Initially, we were a bit unsure if the food would still hold up, especially since we are very picky about authentic Indian cuisine. Taal does have a slight Nepali twist, which adds a unique touch to their dishes. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Korma, and roti. The food tasted a bit different from other Indian restaurants weve tried, but in a good way. The flavors were rich and satisfying, showing that Taal still maintains its quality and authenticity after all these years. The service was moderate not exceptional, but certainly adequate. Overall, our experience was quite positive. Taal is definitely a place well be returning to. If youre looking for good Indian food with a unique twist, this is a spot worth checking out.

The service was promt the portions were more than generous. We were a party of 3 for dinner and took nearly as much food home as we eat. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the atmosphere was, you know, authentic. The Naan is made fresh and delicious. Parking: Large lot with lots of other businesses, so you may have to walk a bit, but not bad.

Craving Indian Food in Brea! Chicken Tikka Masala is an aromatic, creamy, hearty and packed with flavor! This dish was loaded with tender chunks of chicken. This was enough for 2! It s definitely my go-to! They packed it well for take out, which I appreciated. Love how colorful it is and it tastes even better! So incredibly ah-mazinggg! Get ready to spice up your life with this sizzling Chicken Tandoori! Bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, its the ultimate dish to tantalize your taste buds. This classic Chicken Tandoori is marinated in a yogurt marinade of ginger, garlic, and mixed spices, then lovingly cooked in a traditional clay oven. Don t worry you control the spice! Their Mango Lassi is a bit rich and creamy with a sweet and tangy flavor. It s definitely worth trying.

Waiters were slow working, wait time was crazy long, and food was just okay to say the most. We ordered samosas for appetizer and it took more than thirty minutes to come out, and then another 30 minutes for our mains. While we were eating the waiters didn t come by at all to check on us. The restaurant wasn t even busy with only four other tables filled, otherwise I would ve been more forgiving. And while serving, the waiters never smiled and just put the food on the table and walked away. Come to think of it they didn t even say much at all, maybe only once to repeat an order. Food wise, chicken tandoori was tasty, but the two curries we also ordered had very bland chicken. Samosas were hard and not very flavorful. I wouldn t recommend this restaurant to anyone and hope they change for their own good.

We are new to LA area and keep trying new Indian restaurants. We ordered Egg Chow Mein, Chilli Chicken, Thukpa Tibetan Stew with Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan. We order the spice level as Spicy for all dishes. Our collective thoughts as a family of 3 who ordered and tasted all the dishes: - Egg Chow Mein: Very Tasty and will be a repeat order for us (10/10) - Chilli Chicken: somehow we thought it will be with gravy but it was Dry (suited as an appetizer) - it was good but may not be a repeat order. (7/10) - Thupka Tibetan Stew: Very Tasty and will be a repeat order but we may take off Chicken from it. (10/10) - Garlic Naan: Very soft and tasty, the size is huge, will be a repeat order. (10/10) - Chicken Tikka Masala: Chicken was super tender and well cooked but the gravy had an over dose of Tomato base. We will try Butter Chicken next time. (7/10)

Food was good, not great. Portions were large, prices were reasonable. Service was lacking. Table was not fully set following seating and taking of drink orders. Had to ask to get silverware/napkins. Refills of water were lacking and server/staff had to be signaled to multiple times for more water, as well as to receive the check after waiting for longer than reasonable. Despite lackluster service, visit here was worth it, would go again if in the area and looking for Indian Food.

What a failure of an Indian buffet! Is like eating at a bad, hard to die food joint. The food is tasteless the only server working the tables concentrated on filling your cup with water the trays of food are lukewarm and empty. If you plan to consider getting to this place, I suggest you to go anywhere else or at least get yourself a cold frozen food and that will taste better than the food this place provides.
