Went here for a quick lunch. We had the meatball sandwich. The atmosphere is cute inside and you can sit outside and eat also. I don t have anything really negative about this place. It was quick to get seated, food is okay, I only had meatball sandwich but it was okay maybe could have had more flavor but not bad. Service was good. I d have no problem coming back here.

Fratellino s Italian Restaurant was in Fullerton for 10 years before they relocated their business to Brea. They are well-known for their take-out Party Trays. I ve passed this restaurant many times in the 15 years I ve lived in Brea. It was our first time dining here. It s very quaint and they do have an outdoor patio area. We went on a Wednesday night and it wasn t that busy. They had the Dodgers game on the tvs, not something you would expect at a nice Italian restaurant. It was obvious that the staff were watching the game. The hand painted Italian countryside murals are a nice touch. Their complimentary appetizer is carrots, pepperoncini peppers and ranch. Not a favorite for the table. Typically for most Italian restaurants, they give fresh bread with roasted garlic or olive oil. The Garlic Bread, which comes with certain meals, was tasty. We tried: (For all pasta, they were perfectly al dente) Alfredo with angel hair pasta, bacon, and chicken - very creamy. Bacon could have crispier. Angel Hair with creamy pesto and shrimp - not as creamy. Seemed more like pesto than creamy pesto. Needed more flavor. Chicken Parmigiana - the marinara sauce didn t have any hint of basil. Needed more flavor. Beef lasagna and Fettuccine Alfredo - lasagna wasn t in a typical square slice or even a rectangular slice, where you can see the layers. Seemed like a small portion. Clam Sauce Over Linguine - classic Italian restaurant dish. I like the chopped clams in this dish. I guess it s texture for me. It could have been a little bit more flavorful. Great customer service from Danny. For an authentic Italian restaurant, I expected more fresh, high-quality ingredients, fresh, homemade, or locally made bread and flavors more intense.

Fratellino s offers a cozy, authentic Italian experience. The spinach ravioli was fresh and flavorful, and the angel hair pasta with meatball was perfectly cooked a comforting, delicious combination. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. For the quality and portion sizes, the prices are fair, making it a great spot for a special night out. Highly recommend Fratellino s for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine!

The food is fantastic (I had the veal piccata), lovely wines and friendly service. Amie was our waitress this evening and she was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Im already looking forward to my leftovers and to eating here again! I love the dim lighting which gives a really nice atmosphere too.

We got there and got sat really fast. we placed our order and they came quickly hot and fresh. Looking around, thinking that i was the only one feeling proud of my evening dinner here, it looked like it was everyone s day. We celebrated my Grandpa s birthday and they brought him a desert with candle. we sung Birthday song and a few voices around us joined us. It was a great evening for the whole family. The food is delicious, Table arrangements is professional and server kept coming to ask whether we are ok and this felt human presence unlike other Places with robots. Parking: Free parking spots on a shared lot. Wheelchair accessibility: They have double door for easy entrance, a few handicap parking by the door.

Honestly I am shocked this place has about 4.5 stars. I hate bashing on businesses, but personally I really did not enjoy the experience. Although I will say the waiters/servers were polite, they took forever to do many things. Waited about 20 mins for the food to come out. The ravioli was pretty decent, although the beef one had a slightly gamey taste. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it was out of a can, and not properly seasoned. The meatballs were okay, definitely could ve used some more seasoning as well. The pizza resembled a Chuck E Cheese or Shakey s pizza. I am disappointed because I was looking for a good Italian restaurant to regularly visit, but my expectations unfortunately fell short.

Start of a slippery slope ? Not sure if it s always like this on a Sunday/Holiday, but even the mailing list-discount doesn t make up for the overall experience, this time. The prawns in the Scampi were excellent; however, what I ordered (from the first waiter-?! ) was the Clam sauce. I chose to ignore that error, but as I have few remaining teeth I had to insist on correcting the mistake on my other request for Angel hair instead of linguine. The (second) waiter was very quick to fix it and was exceptionally attentive through the rest of the meal is why this score isn t lower. This had followed a wait of over 12 minutes in the front. True, I was alone and with no cell phone to sign in on the tablet but two parties went ahead of me before another pair walked in - with No Reservation- and was seated before I was even acknowledged by the hostess, or anyone. As I was wearing a Pride T-shirt, it gives a rather bad impression and I don t like feeling that way, when I visit my old home town. Well; I hope this was an exception, as it s been better here. However if Luigi s, down the street, ever can regain enough space to have a cozy dining area Fratellino s is going to lose business.

I cannot give this place anything more than a single star. We were sat down quickly... but that was it. We ordered food with our waiter and then began the longest wait... at least 40 minutes went by and the 9nly appetizer they gave us was carrots with ranch? where is the bread... my sister was able to change her baby and breastfeed the baby and still have plenty of time to chat before we got our food. When we finally DID get our food... It looked horrible. One of us got a single meatball in their meatball dish. and then it was just cold pasta and ketchup on top. my sister got pesto rottini and it was again, just cold pasta with pesto on top. The pictures do it justice. My mother got fettucine chicken alfredo and she said it was ok, but she did not finish it. Mine was the best: I got the eggplant parmigiana and since it was a dinner entree, i got minestrone soup and a side of penne pasta with it. the pasta was horrible. And then we did not see our waiter for the rest of our visit. There were PLENTY of waiters. Maybe 1 person for every 2 tables... but why did we not see any waiter come ask us if we wanted refill on our water or sodas? We actually had to get up and go to the front desk to ask for our check and leave because we were there for almost 2 hours... and only about 20 minutes of it was spent eating. Oh and we finally got the good bread (best part of our meal) with our food so i guess that was good. Also the interior was nice. But thats it. Olive Garden and Old Spaghetti Factory are better than this pathetic excuse for a restaurant. Vegetarian options: eggplant parmigiana was good Parking: lots of parking Kid-friendliness: had a baby stool but it felt like we were in the way once the crowd came in - cramped

It s shocking that place has a 4.5 rating. All the food is frozen and reheated. The meatballs were bland and tasted slightly off. There is no Italian dish. Instead it s build your own pasta, which is fine but for an Italian restaurant it s strange. The pizza is the worst offender. For the build your own pizza you d expect the cheese to be mozzarella or a typical cheese used on pizza but nope! They use three cheese Mexican blend. Make it make sense. The food was below subpar.

There is a reason why Fratelinos is voted the number one Italian restaurant in Orange County--EVERY YEAR. Excellent service, and a lovely environment, and reasonable prices always prevail. They even have a small room for a party, which i have done. Service was quick at first and waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered 2 dinner combos (#1 and #4) and a kids fettuccine alfredo. Salad and soup came out fast and were good. Food came out a bit later and the 2 adult meals were cold. Kids fettuccine was warm enough to eat but the fettuccine in adult combo meal was cold enough to have a film on it. When we told the waiter, he was extremely apologetic and went to speak to manager. Manager offered to take the cold meals off but wed have to pay for the salad and soup that came with the meal and the kids meal. When I asked to speak to the manager right after we were given this response, he was no longer available. I offered to pay for the kids meal, as it was edible, and left our 2 uneaten meals on the table before leaving. We were made to feel like we were trying to pull a free meal when it couldnt be further from the truth...just looking for a warm, reasonably-priced meal like we had received on past visits. Unfortunately, the poor customer service shown by restaurant management lost our future business.

It took 7 minutes for our waiter to finally come and greet our table. The food was average, and my son pulled from his mouth a 1 inch long curled shard of metal that was baked into the garlic bread! When I complained to the manager, she didn t even apologize. When time came to pay, there was no attempt to make things right either. I had to ask the waiter to comp my son s meal. What really bugged me the most is both the manager and the waiter. Blamed it on the bread company. I get it, but you re the ones that are selling the bread to your customers. The portions are plentiful and bountiful so Make sure everyone in your party orders something different so that you can try a little of everything, and you will see that you won t have just one favorite dish. Oh, and don t forget to order the Marco and Gianni Sweet Pizza for dessert but ask them to add a scoop of ice cream. This is hands down our new favorite dessert.

One Saturday afternoon in September my husband and I decided to venture into a quaint Italian restaurant nestled near the historic part of Brea near old town, known as frantellion s Italian Restaurant. The ambiance was immediately inviting, with soft lighting, rustic decor, and hand painted murals adorning the walls. The gentle hum of Italian conversation paired with the faint notes of a classic Italian ballad made the setting feel intimate and cozy. We were greeted with a warm smile by the owner Cesar and his son Gianni the hostess, who led us to a VIP table overlooking the entire restaurant. As I glanced over the menu, an array of authentic dishes beckoned me. We settled on the entree specials served with wine, perfectly toasted garlic bread, small salad or delicious minestrone and dessert. We had the handmade Chicken Parmigiana with creamy Pesto shells and the Shrimp and scallops Linguine. The anticipation grew as I took the first bite. The pasta was perfectly al dente, with the creamy alfredo pesto sauce melding in a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by breaded chicken parmigiana. Every bite was a delightful dance of textures and flavors, making it evident that each ingredient was chosen with care and love. To accompany the meal, the waitress Taylor suggested a glass of Rose and House Red wine , which perfectly accentuated the rich flavors of the Linguine and Pesto. For dessert, we indulged in cheesecake ice-cream with a delicate layering of creamy chunks of strawberries. It was a sweet ending to an exquisite meal. The entire experience was more than just a dinner; it was a journey through Italian culture and tradition. The genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and passion for authentic flavors made fratellino s a memorable culinary adventure that Ill cherish for years to come. ---Aya Vegetarian options: Offers Eggplant, spinach ravioli and vegetarian sandwich anything can be modified very accommodating Parking: In a shopping center Kid-friendliness: Pizza is kid friendly and pasta Wheelchair accessibility: Very spacious and accessible

Worst service ever. Got there at 5:30pm last night and the restaurant was 1/3 full with lots of open tables. The waitress could not follow basic food orders. We were a party of 4 and only 1 order came out correctly. These were straight forward, uncomplicated orders. When the orders came out incorrectly, the food runner argued with us that it was our fault and wanted to shove the food at us regardless of it being incorrect. Our server then returned with another round of argumentative tone by insinuating we had been at fault. I was a server trainer for 8 years at some of the biggest names in O.C. I speak straight forward and in basic serving/kitchen terms. These were easy orders and the staff cannot follow them. These servers have small stations and very easy drop off s. There is not a lot of pre-meal work for the servers to do so it is beyond my comprehension as to why they cannot follow basic food orders, retrieve drinks and manicure tables. We sat with a table full of empty plates and multiple, empty glasses for the entropy of our meal. We had to ask 4 times for a glass of water. 45 mins into the meal and after another plea for water, she finally dropped them off. We waited another 30 mins for a check and to request boxes. The food was great but your entire staff needs to be retrained. We should have reflected her poor service by a poor tip but felt it better to leave this review as an example to the manager and business owner that they need to do some basic retraining.

The waitress was slow, and forgot to bring all of our food like the salads, antipasto, etc. Once she remembered to bring our entrees, she only brought one out at a time. We had to wait almost 10 minutes between the two entrees that we ordered. She finally brought out our garlic bread after we finished our entrees. We also had to ask multiple times just to get the spumoni ice cream. Honestly I really have no reason to go back there. All the dishes were basic, you would have to order mushrooms or anything that you cared for additionally to be included in the pasta. You see that in the buffet, not in a nice restaurant that youre paying for the atmosphere and quality.

One chicken dish was raw, another chicken dish was so rubbery you couldn t even eat it and the pesto was literally drowning in oil. This shouldn t even be called Italian food. Honestly was so embarrassed taking my boyfriend here to meet my parents for dinner. I really think something needs to change in the kitchen as well as the customer service, which was extremely poor. I truly hope this restaurant pulls it together because it would be a shame to see a restaurant fail. Please please please do better

Very disappointed in eggplant Parmigiano. It was overcooked and the eggplant was actual mush under the sauce. Cooks need to do better. Probably wont be returning.

Love the food. Pizza always great. Staff is always friendly and smiling. I dont know if its that it was a Friday but the food took too long to come out, my 6 year old was crying he was so hungry. He didnt care for the appetizer ( carrots &Ranch dressing) . Maybe if they would have offered bread instead. There were many people there that night eating, service seemed really slow. The food was worth the wait.

Oh my gosh My mom and dad and I were looking for an Italian restaurant and we just happened to come upon this place and it was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken parmesan and also the spaghetti and meatballs with ravioli and lasagna... The chicken parmesan was absolutely fabulous! Dietary restrictions: They had plenty of vegetarian options

When I lived in Brea, this was my go-to Italian restaurant (or ristorante). One of their dishes is a baked Christian (which sounds like the Spanish Inquisition) but alfredo sauce is added to the marinara and its outstanding. I dont like in Brea anymore, but I get my hair done there, right across from Fratellinos. Still just as wonderful as before.

They reallllllllly need to work on their service in terms of how fast they move. Its CLEAR they are not staffed appropriately to the numbers of customers. But the food is always reallllly good....and the waitress was nice as they always are. Just realllly slow service....

Good, old school American style Italian place. The food is hearty and rich, at a great price. This is a dying breed of restaurants. Reservations are recommended because this place is popular among locals.
