If you love mediterranean food, you are going to make this one of your favorite eating places. I have yet to find a dish not to my liking. The flavoring, marinating, or preparation with spices is one of the best I have found. And yes, I am picky about my mediterranean food.

I am particularly impressed with the tender steak and chicken prepared on their kebabs. All too often, other places will bring back a rather dry piece of meat. I have yet to be disappointed by this great place.

Order anything you will love it.

Parking is easy because right behind the restaurant is a huge multi-level parking structure.

The services is always friendly and they make you feel welcome. It is clear management has made it a high priority on getting returned customers. We have all gone to great restaurants where the flavor of the food is spoiled by poor service.

I would recommend any of the meat kebabs. They do a fine job with the spices and marinades.

Something simple yet very tasty were the roasted potatoes. I was surprised to have such a tasty buttery potato melt in my mouth with just a little bit of crunch.

Add potatoes to your dish and you will be delighted with how it complements the entree.

Go!

We held a surprise engagement party here with 16 guests, and it was perfect! Amazing food, service, and atmosphere all for great value as well. Shavon made everything so smooth from start to finish, and we cannot thank her and the team enough. We decided to do happy hour with drinks and shared plates, and our only regret is not doing it for dinner so we could eat and drink more!

The Olive Pit Grill is really good. They offer fresh Mediterranean food. The food is pretty good and there are some unique dishes that you can’t usually find at most restaurants. The service here was great they gave great recommendations and were very kind. The place is very clean and has a great vibe to the restaurant. I’d definitely recommend coming here for something new and unique.

SHOUT OUT TO CHEF ERNESTO!
Those little blue candies in the front taste like black licorice! I always forget and get a surprise haha.
This is my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is consistently excellent quality-- and quick! I have never had a bad experience with service or food.
Definitely get the 3 hummus plate for the table (my favorite is the olivada), to nibble on before your meal. The cocktails are wonderful, i loved the old fashioned. Some of their drinks (the sangria definitely) change day-to-day, so ask your server what they suggest. And the dessert is fantastic. Whatever you order, you can't go wrong.

Also! The seating: there's a ridiculously comfortable booth in a corner that's like a nice couch with a million throw pillows. Very luxurious.

It gets very busy at 6pm, which means it gets very loud! Plan an earlybird romantic date so you can actually hear each other.

First time at this location. I've been to the one in Huntington Beach and loved the quality of food. Got there around 11:15am and in less than 15 mins later the place was full. That only meant this was a good place to eat. Though it was busy, food still came in a timely manner and the service was good. I like when a restaurant has all staff help with all tables. Though our waitress wasn't always around, other staff members were clearing our table or refilling our drinks. Food was delicious and our overall experience was great!

I'm obsessed with Olive Pit Grill in Brea! This hidden gem serves up fresh, whole food at unbeatable prices. The Mediterranean Salad with protein is a must-try - absolute perfection!
The lamb dishes stole the show - tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Don't even get me started on the creamy hummus and dips, packed with just the right amount of garlic.
The standout dish? Lamb chops with feta fries and grilled veggies - heavenly!
Olive Pit Grill's atmosphere is equally impressive: chic, cozy, and boasting spacious indoor and outdoor patios. Whether you're a Mediterranean food aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal, this spot is a must-visit!

Olive Pit Grill in Brea is a hidden gem for Mediterranean food lovers! And the atmosphere is super cute and chic. Indoor + outdoor patios are VERY spacious!

We got a LOT, but here were our absolute favorites and must-orders:

Mains
- Grilled Wild Salmon Salad (incredibly good - best salad I’ve ever had)
- Lamb Pizza
- Lamb Chops
Side
- Fried Asparagus with garlic aioli
Dessert
- Tiramisu with baklava base

The staff was also SUPER friendly - our waiter was so helpful and the bartender is the BEST!!

This place feels luxury beginning to end but actually has affordable prices. We will be back AGAIN AND AGAIN!!

It was a Friday night and we got right in. We started with some appetizers: the artichoke hearts were large and quite tasty; the stuffed peppers were good, but too spicy for my taste. I decided on the lamb gyro with a Mediterranean salad as my side, and it was a super choice. The lamb was succulent and flavorful, and all the various ingredients worked perfectly together. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his calamari gyro with a whole slew of french fries for his side. This is my sister's favorite restaurant and I can see why. Delicious!

Horrible experience with the staff. We asked to be seated in patio, an hour before closing. The hostess said it's closed, the waiter said it's not. The hostess rolled her eyes and took us tp the patio. She then yelled tp the other waiter cleaning up patio, not my fault! The waiter was very unhelpful and straight up rude. I guess coming an hour before the restaurant closes is causing them inconvenience! My friend made a mistake with ordering pasta, the person who brought the food outside, offered to bring another one. To which our waiter came out and confronted us! He said that he is getting into trouble because of that. We explained to him that it was a mistake on our end as explained, and the cook didn't have to offer to fix it, we never blamed him. To which he rolled his eyes and sighed. At that point I asked if they don't want us there and his attitude is rude and unprofessional. I do not feel comfortable talking to him. He continued to speak to me rudely, asking me questions etc, I stopped responding. The manager came out to apologize and assigned us another waiter. The whole night was embarrassing. We felt humiliated. Will never return.

Atmosphere- inviting, comfy.
Appetizers, good.
Didn't like being trapped in a long table. Having to seperate the table to use bathroom or exit.

The artichokes were awful. The type of food preparation totally RUIN the flavor or what a artichoke should taste. It didn't even TASTE like a artichoke, much to my disappointment.

I come here about twice a month and I always love it! The service is always absolutely wonderful. The manager does have a very pretentious attitude, but the actual staff is absolutely wonderful. The food is delicious. Doesn’t matter what you get! The steak kabobs, lamb chomps, soup, salads, pizza flatbreads, the octopus, the hummus, everything is so delicious! My favorite dessert is the Greek yogurt. But quite frankly, whatever you order, you won’t be disappointed. However, I would suggest to avoid ordering to take out as some items do not travel very well.

The one star review is based on the awful service experience with the server Francisco on 06/18/2024.

He refused to serve me a kids cheese pizza despite having two kids in our party, and respectfully offering to pay the price of an adult pizza. We had a party of six, and the wait time to order was long- when it wasn’t busy. Once ordered, our food took even longer to arrive, and by the time our food got to us, it was cold.

Our family has dined here before, and Paris along with the gentlemen with glasses/ tattoos were very nice and efficient.

We absolutely love this place. The food is EXCELLENT and there’s nothing I’ve had there that I didn’t love. If you like Greek and Mediterranean food, you have to try this place!

On my last visit I had the lamb burger. Oooh emmm geee… it was so mouth wateringly delicious! I seriously can’t wait to get back there and have another one. It was perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. I chose the grilled artichoke hearts as my side and those were amazing as well.

My mom got one of her favorites (she eats here often): grilled salmon plate with a side Greek salad and grilled mushrooms. I snagged a couple of the mushrooms and my eyes rolled back in my head. Yum-o!

My husband got the crispy calamari wrap with a side of rice. Again… so delicious!! They drizzled their house tzatziki sauce on the rice and wowzers was it good - so garlicky and creamy!! I will be ordering a side of this with anything I get next time.

Another one of my favorites is the traditional Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup. The best I’ve ever had!

The ambiance is really nice too. Cozy pillows on many of the booths, beautiful lighting and decor, but it’s not stuffy or pretentious at all.

The service is always great too, and they also have a full bar which is always fun. Personally, I wish it was a little less pricey so that I could afford to eat there more often. Still, it’s well worth the high quality of the food.

Bonus free parking nearby too!

My experience was not my favorite. I was placed at a back table near the kitchen it was not busy when I sat at my table. I was greeted by the host and my waiter Bryan. My waiter was great until he never came back. I sat for almost 10 minutes waiting for him to return. He helped other tables that had arrived after me. They received their orders before I did.
The manager approached my table to ask if I had been helped and if I would like to place an order. I ordered a chicken wrap and he recommended the mediterranean salad. For an appetizer I ordered a dip Olivada. I was very excited after having my first Olivada, so I ordered a second. When the second was brought out fruit flies followed. There had to be about 5 on my food and one or two near my water. It disgusted me I couldn’t eat my main meal. I tired, but as you see in my picture I only had a bite. The other thing about the food was the salad. It was soggy and the veggies were very big. I did not enjoy this meal I paid $28 dollars for a sad meal. Sorry Olive Pit I had better expectations for your restaurant.

The design is nice and the prices are reasonable -- thats about it. The food was bland.

Bad experience overall but I feel like we ordered the wrong food and the staff and kitchen was understaffed. We had the margarita pizza, one of the salads and the asparagus. Oddly, the asparagus was the best thing. The pizza was a tasteless cracker-- this is not hyperbole. The food literally had no flavor. The salad was ok, but again not much flavor. I wish I could call the food "bad" but it was... flavorless.

The service was very slow. The place was definitely understaffed (our waitress was behind the bar making drinks). We were waiting to order for about 8-10 minutes and our drinks were refilled at the end of the meal.

I may try them again if we visit the Improv but my first impression wasn't good.

Stopped by at the recommendation of a friend who said & I quote “If it was going to die tomorrow and can eat at only one more place Olive Pit would be the spot”. I assumed I was gonna be in for a treat when I took him up on it. I was able to catch them before the 5pm happy hour stopped and snatched up some tasty hummus dip trays, lamb meatballs & some Bomb-Diggity Feta fries! I topped it off with a great glass of red wine and a killer lamb burger which I asked for medium rare. In hind site I should have asked for medium as lamb cooks a bit differently then beef but that was on me. That burger was amazing, blue cheese spread, fig jam, caramelized onions, lettuce & tomato and a soft bun……. Uh, you had me at hello. I added in the sautéd mushroom side and another one in the books. Olive Pit is one of my favorite restaurants! They used to be in the plaza near Nekter and Super Juicy Dumplings in a small setting. However, I'm so glad they made the switch to Downtown Brea a couple years ago. I come here maybe about once a month or so. Everything they have here is really good, but the reason I opt to go to Olive Pit more so when I dine out is because they specialise in Greek food which feels a bit healthier than what most restaurants offer. They have build your own plates which are my go to. I typically get their grilled salmon entree plate with tatziki and upgrade one of my sides to fried zucchini with ranch. Their avolemongo soup is light and extremely delicious. Their desserts are tasty as well and their hummus is fluffy. Note that entrees usually come with pita bread. I've purchased sparkling moscato wine to give as gifts because it's my favorite. They have wraps as well, but I prefer the entree plates. The half roasted chicken is not bad, but a tiny tiny bit dry. Our of their salads the rocka salad is amazing and more on the sweeter (naturally side). The atmosphere and staff are always super friendly. I love coming here!! I come here so often I don't really take pictures of the food as much. The pizza is also pretty good too, but if you come here try to order something more unique.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating available. Menu is perfect for groups as there was a bunch of options. We ordered the Kabob plates with chicken, beef, and lamb. The chicken was well seasoned while the beef and lamb lacked flavor. The service could have been more attentive but they were short staffed that day. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Free parking garage behind the restaurant.

One of my favorite spots in Orange County. If you haven't been you ought to go. I really wish Leo would give Brian some more hours though I love that guy. He makes it better every time we go.

September 17, 2023 update.

Still worth it! Great food, great staff, great environment!

------------------------

April 2023 Update:
Four people now over $100 to dine here, but again, totally worth it! Great food, great staff and great dining experience! Can't wait to go back!

---------------------------------
Yeah, we go broke every time we eat here as a family, but its worth it. Can't seem to get four people out of here for less than $60.00 bucks.

Food is fresh and well made. Restaurant is always packed and there always seems to be line of people waiting to order. This place needs to expand.

Great food!

Mediterranean restaurant with a relaxed environment. Came here for lunch with my parents prior to catching a movie at the nearby Regal Theater, and it was no wait to get a seat at 11:30am on a Sunday. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. We really liked the outdoor seating - the decor was nice and it was all shaded, so we didn’t overheat. We had the calamari to split as an appetizer - it had a nice batter and there was lemon already sprinkled on. We split two 3-kebab plates, which can be mixed in terms of your meat choices. I tried the beef, lamb, and chicken - I would say that the lamb was my favorite one. It comes with a side of two options - we had the fries, Mediterranean salad, hummus, and rice pilaf. The fries were particularly good.

Our waitress was super friendly and prompt. Credit cards are accepted. There are vegetarian options. It’s good for families and large groups. There’s a happy hour and they do have drink specials on the weekends.

The food was great! Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and loved it. The service was fast and attentive. Inside was a little loud, but we could still have a conversation. If you want good food and service go here. I had the pastitsio (see photo) and hummus both were lovely. I already want to go back.

I had a disappointing experience at the Olive Pit Restaurant in Brea. My girlfriend and I arrived for a birthday dinner, but we weren't able to be seated immediately due to a large party, which we understood. However, when we finally got seated and waited for 15 minutes to be acknowledged while others were being served, our frustration grew. To make matters worse, we had to endure an additional 30-minute wait for our food to arrive.

I strongly advise avoiding this place, especially if it's even slightly busy. Our visit was marred by poor service and excessive waiting times. It's a shame that what should have been a special birthday celebration turned into a disappointing evening. Save yourself the hassle and steer clear of the Olive Pit Restaurant in Brea.
